#new fakémon project

It definitely too early to be thinking about this, but what if Pokémon Generation Ten’s game mechanic was a sort of Pokémon fusion? It wouldn’t be literal fusion for the most Pokémon (think Dynamax vs Gigantamax), but Pokémon could temporarily absorb a Pokémon with a “compatible” type to get one of nine possible “Fusion Types” and a stat boost. Most only get a Z-Move/Terastilizationesque visual indicator of the change, but specific Pokémon holding a specialized item can obtain entirely new forms (basically, I’m combining all the past mechanics).

Compatible Fusion Types are between a “Physical” Type (Normal, Steel, Rock, Ground, Poison, Bug, Flying, Fighting, Ghost) and a “Special” Type (Grass, Fire, Water, Electric, Ice, Psychic, Dark, Fairy, Dragon).

My prototype ideas for Fusion Types are based mostly on fan types that otherwise wouldn’t be featured in the games. (Feel free to leave suggestions for…better ideas)

Grass + Fighting = Rubber

Fire + Rock = Light

Water + Bug = Blood

Electric + Steel = Data

Ice + Flying = Wind

Psychic + Normal = Rhythm

Dark + Ghost = Night

Fairy + Poison = Magic

Dragon + Ground = Cosmic

Needless to say, double battles are gonna be a LOT more important.

Tritania is my brand spanking new pokémon fakéregion project and I'm here to reveal the first 'normal' pokémon in the region's large roster of fakémon! Not one but four new types appear in Tritania and all four are getting a new eeveelution so here's the first, Weirdeon! Pokédex: Weirdeon the Mutant Pokémon. A new and unusual evolution of Eevee which seems even more unstable and genetically odd than Eevee itself. Exposure to abnormal energies in the form of a Strange Stone caused it's genetics to go out of control! It now produces a thick and corrosive sludge from it's hairless skin and tears in it's body grow teeth and long tongue like sticky appendages. While scary looking it's actually as friendly and playful as any Eevee reletive however opponents in battle won't want to let their guards down or they'll get a nasty surprise when it's entire face opens... Misc Notes. Evolves from Eevee when exposed to a Strange Stone. The first Abnormal type ever designed. Ability: Strong Jaw. Hidden Ability: Mutilate. Mutilate is similar to other 'ate' abilities in that it converts normal type moves into abnormal ones and gives them a slight boost. Base Stats. HP:110 Attack:95 Defense:70 Sp.Attack:95 Sp.Defense:100 Speed:55

It's been making me think of the old fan region I tried to make when I was smaller, and how my art has changed since then!(and which of my fakemon have became really similar to new Pokemon haha-)

Introducing... Pokémon: Winds of Change!

What is Pokémon: Winds of Change?

Many months ago, I was invited into a discord server where a handful of people were starting to plan work on a Pokémon fangame based on the Rust Belt. Seeing as I had a backlog of Fakémon, I joined and shared some of them with the project and began to take an active part in the planning process. I gave it its name, I came up with a few mons, I wrote a bunch of story for it and, most importantly I made designs for a lot of the planned mons. However, as often happens, people left the project and others stopped working on it until I was the only one doing anything at all. However, I did make a promise that I would get this project to see the light of day in some way, and while a fangame seems so very far at this moment, I can still show off my work. Who knows? Perhaps in the future, I can bring this project back to life.

Welcome to the Rusbel region!

This region is based on the Rust Belt as the name implies. I will avoid going into too much detail over specific locations in this post as to not overload anyone reading. This map is, of course, a little archaic and unpleasant as it was supposed to be purely utilitarian, but it gives a good idea of what the region is! You might have noticed it, but Rusbel also borders Unova! We had the idea to include Unova as a post-game area, sort of like Kanto to Johto, but with a smaller scope of course.

Pokémon

Of course, you can't have a Pokémon game without Pokémon, and we had quite a few! In our sheet where we kept every concept for the region, we had a little over a 100 Pokémon planned for the region, including brand new mons, regional forms and brand new evolutions. Of course, not all of these reached the point where they received designs, but many did! And those are the ones I will be showing off. Of course, any of their designs are still somewhat rought and sketchy, but I have attempted to clean up quite a few to present to you.

To placate you for now, meet the starters of Rusbel! The Grass type Herbeaver, the Fire type Bipestle and the Water type Shylter! Which would you choose on your journey through Rusbel, trainer?

Characters

There were of course fewer characters planned than Pokémon, and fewer designed, but that doesn't mean there weren't any! I will be showcasing the handful of characters I designed for this region, their role in the region and plot and maybe more!

In the meantime, why not meet the plucky young trainers that would embark on their journey!
