#daniel ricciardo #dr3 #went on a hike the sunday after the official announcement and listened to this song on repeat for probably 3 of the 8 miles #POV: me in the middle of the woods telling myself to get it together #while crying about a 35 year old millionaire before I end up passing someone on the trail and they call the police on me #so song is about how female stars are treated overtime and when they first arrive they're praised for being authentic and refreshin #but once the shine wears off and they're a little older and reveal imperfections or they struggle they become a target for ridicule #and then they're discarded for the next new thing in town and the cycle keeps repeating itself forever #which to me so closely mirrors daniel's trajectory in F1 in the eyes of the media #but also when you take the lyrics at face value they are just so daniel...#the f1 ecosystem and more specifically the redbull “family” are fake as hell #and yet daniel is one of their most genuine products who actually can't be easily reproduced (but by god they'll try)#he showed a great deal of promise despite coming from a place that really never should've produced a successful f1 driver #because the cards were stacked against him and nobody really thought he would make it #but he did and he gave us 13 brilliant years (and he has SO much more to give and do and succeed at and he will)#but the wheel of time keeps spinning and the cycle continues for the next shiny new toy that they can nurture and then destroy #anyway i'm not totally in love with these gifs but I need to be done w/them and I had to exorcise this demon that was making me sad

#i ordered colored pencils for specifically one person's eye color because it annoyed me that i couldn't match it with the pencils i already #have and when i opened the package and saw them i was so happy 🥺#i missed the feeling traditional art related products made me feel #i was literally holding them in my hand and looking at them thinking “oh my god they're so perfect”#the love between me and derwent colorsoft (and inktense) pencils are forever #sadly i wasn't patient enough with the portrait i'm currently drawing to wait for these pencils to arrive but hopefully soon i'll be able to #try them with a new drawing #my useless posts

i am not immune to marketing gimmicks (<- just bought limited edition cocoa flavor online)

#sasha speaks #they're having a big sale rn to clear out their overstock and leftover limited edition flavors from the past year #nearly everything is sold out already especially most of their flavored blends #but they had a medium roast from an origin i haven't tried before #and the unflavored single origin medium roasts are my favorite! so i ordered a bag for 35% off #plus a bag of my usual favorite...in fairness i also meant to bring some back home with me from my apartment and forgot completely #the other day when i was packing #so having a couple bags of cocoa arriving at home for me in a few days will be a nice treat #it's just roasted and ground cacao beans but you brew it just like coffee #the end product really is a lot like black coffee (bitter and strong lol) but it's quite lovely with a bit of sweetener #i used to take it with some cream but actually now my favorite preparation #is cocoa grounds + big pinch of salt + a few green cardamom pods + just enough maple syrup to make it *barely* sweet #makes a wonderful hot beverage. it's so cozy...#anyway looking forward to that. i hope the new flavor is good. the last limited edition medium roast i tried was fine #but i didn't like it more than their regular ones #unfortunately most of their varieties these days are either dark/french/ultradark (spanish) roasts or they're flavored light roasts #and i don't much go for those. i mean occasionally a flavored light roast #but i find them disappointing more often than not. light roast isn't chocolatey enough for me and the flavors are usually weak or stale #(the strawberry one is good but it's a summer limited ed and it was out of stock already by the time i saw the overstock sale)#and the dark roasts are just too dark for me. i want to taste the cacao bean and origin not just the roast #so the medium roasts are the sweet spot for me. roasted enough to taste really chocolatey and strong #but not so much that they're overwhelming and lose their character #actually weirdly i've noticed recently that on some of their limited ed and flavored blends they aren't listing the roast level.#it's very strange #for the flavoreds i just assume light roast but it's weird when they don't tell you on the package or the online shop page

ohh so itz one of Those days for me today huh.

#days where i ponder What if my friends and also literally everyone ever all Hated me due to the Valid reasons for hating me.#and then i spend so much time contemplating 1) what i would do if Everyone hated me and how i would explain myself in various situations an #places. what i would say how people would react what i would do in response etc. and then also 2) i contemplate and recontemplate my belief #over and over even tho i Know by now how i feel. because What if my opinion changes and i realize i was wrong before. and i finally arrive #at the perfect answer that feels Right and Good and True and which i could adequately explain to anyone and convince anyone of itz Rightnes #and Correctness. like thats not gonna happen thats not an answer that Exists can i chill out and focus on my classwork pleas.#i mean actually i have gotten some shit done. but i have More to do still. and i should work on more things instead of Contemplating and #Feeling bad over and over in ways i knooowwww will not lead me anywhere new. but what if they do!! what if i stop thinking about things and #then one day i would have had some realization if only id thought more but i didnt!#like come on. theres more productive things i can be doing with my time than going back and forth about this. pleaseee. this will not lead #to anything new can i Please do something useful and not bad-feeling with my time instead #but also i should not avoid uncomfortable thoughts just because they feel bad.. itz Important to be uncomfortable sometimes in order to gro #hhhhhhhhhhhh. this has been my brain all day whenever im not sufficiently distracting myself with conversation or school work.#imagining and running through scenarios of what would happen if various strangers and friends found out and disliked me for some things #is Not a good or productive use of my time rn. i need to focus on not failing any classes Please

I know that at this point the release of the third novel is practically around the corner (and I know I'm also very late to talk about this) so there's really no need to post about it. But I haven't seen anyone commenting on this on Tumblr before, which is kind of surprising, I'm not going to lie. (And I checked the tags and I used the search bar, I didn't find a soul who posted this before. Either that, or they posted it and I didn't see it (words/tag filters working maybe))

Anyway.

SO,for those who are excited for the new book and didn't already know this (either because you don't use Twitter, haven't seen this here on Tumblr before or are behind on the news) a new extended preview for Bendy: Fade to Black was released a while ago!

The first preview had already been shared here back in June, and it only had the first chapter of the book + the first page of the second chapter. This extended preview has the prologue of the book, chapter 1 and more extra pages for chapter 2 (I don't think it's the entire chapter,tho)

(Also, the book has 33 chapters in total. Nice)

Again,I know it's too late to be able to talk about this at this point (I got busy in September and was prevented from talking about it before), especially since this book is coming out like. This week lol. There's not much point to talk about this now. But repeating myself, I didn't see anyone commenting about this here on Tumblr. I checked the tags and used the search bar, and nope, nobody. Which is surprising considering the other official (I think?) things people decided to share here. And hey, maybe there really is someone out there who doesn't know that this preview hasn't been released (because I'm sure at this point some of you reading this will have already seen this preview before I posted it here) so consider this post as a helping hand/a reminder perhaps.

And just so this isn't just *a* post sharing the preview, here's a reminder for everyone to remember to tag your spoilers if you're going to talk about the new book! And for those who won't be able to read this book anytime soon (Me), remember to mute/block tags and words so as not to be spoiled! I have to definitely do that after posting this.
