Hey Mac! Spotify recently threw a song by the National my way, which made me listen to a few more and man, this is good.

Hey Alex! Ooh I love that you're enjoying them so far. Thank you for giving me the space to talk your ear off about one of my favourite bands!! I feel like every time I go down the rabbit hole with The National I discover a few more faves, but I'll try to keep this manageable for a tumblr post lol.

I Need My Girl

The National's lead singer Matt Berninger called it "the most direct, earnest love songs we’ve ever written." It's so simple - a song about a man yearning for his wife - but it gets me every time. I know you love a moment of slow, sweet melancholy, so I think you'll like it too.

Mistaken For Strangers

This one reminds me of the friend who introduced me to The National. When he got drunk he would always point to his own jacket during the "showered and blue-blazered" line. In a song about losing friends, what a thing to remember one of the great friendships of my life while listening to it. </3

Day I Die

Speaking of that friend, I went to my first National gig with him. At the time, I didn't really know any other tracks apart from this one, Guilty Party and I Need My Girl, but I'd latched onto this song because it made me Feel Things about a situationship I'd been in a couple of years earlier. When they launched into this live, it was so electric. "Don't do this / I don't do this to you" still makes me want to scream.

Bloodbuzz Ohio

I'm a great lover of The National's lyrics. There might come a point where you're listening to them and you have to stop what you're doing because a line hits you in a place you never thought you'd be hit at like...three pm on a Wednesday. For me, one of those lyrics is from Bloodbuzz Ohio: ""I still owe money to the money to the money I owe / I never thought about love when I thought about home." Maybe my second favourite song they've ever written.

Slow Show

A song for the socially anxious - it's about being out somewhere and just wishing you were home with a person you loved and could feel truly comfortable with. Also, I have been known to make this song about my blorbos at every available opportunity.

Apartment Story

As much of a sweet little love song as The National has ever turned in, and a love letter to happy domesticity. Has a very 'us against the world' vibe.

Graceless

Hands down my favourite song. Its exploration of depression and meds is still unrivalled by anyone imho. I spent the worst parts of the COVID lockdowns blasting this in my living room, and when they performed it at my local gig, I cried buckets.

adegoke: movement

so adegoke's character playlist actually has a different hozier song on it (from eden) which i always imagined to be more from MC's perspective. 

for adegoke, i love the idea of romance like the push and pull of the ocean currents, waves meeting and breaking, a rhythm. and movement just gives me that, i guess! adegoke is also a deeply creative person and movement really gives the vibe of the lover as an inspiration, a muse, which i think would be something that he would totally relate to. as a writer, love is at the core of his work - even when it isn't the subject it is what he finds grounding. 

adegoke also loves to dance (and is an excellent dancer) so that particular expression feels so appropriate. 

arthur: angel of small death and the codeine scene 

this one is quite literal, i guess - arthur is a mean little weasel and it can be a challenge to find the sweetness in him. i think arthur defaults to an "i can make them worse" approach to romance which i think this sort of speaks to.

also his family are terrible and he often feels like a bit of a stray, i think. 

atticus: NFWMB

this one has been pulled straight from his character playlist because its just So ???????? musically it just reminds me of him but i know nothing about music so i have no idea how to articulate it - the sort of unassuming and almost casual vibe contrasted with the utter devotion in the lyrics. the emotional intensity comes from the lack of fanfare, you know?

also like. atticus loves a hair pull, sort of sexy possessive vibes and a rhetorical question so the "ain't you my baby" really hits on that level as well lmaooo 

avery: it will come back

this is another one that is already on avery's character playlist hahaha what can i say i'm a hozier bitch!

this choice is really about avery's complicated relationship with softness and intimacy, especially in a romance with MC which is Forbidden when she places such an emphasis on her professionalism. the way that she partitions different parts of her life is something of a defense for her after her difficult experiences in medicine - she's learned the hard way, she knows better, and yet she just can't help herself. i always think of avery's romance as being like a dam bursting; there's nothing for a long time until a little crack forms and then the dam breaks and everything falls apart. once she has a taste she can't be satiated, which i think this song speaks to. 

charlie - sunlight

he just can't keep away, even knowing how totally disastrous it will probably be for him, but he continues on gladly because he thinks that being that close to the sun will feel worth it even after it's burned him. he's 'death trap clad happily'. 

ellis - almost (sweet music) 

i did a deep dive into ellis' who playlist on patreon way back when and (surprise surprise) this was one of the songs that features on their playlist. this was actually one that i didn't say too much about because its just a bop, you know??? there's the lyrics about their foolish heart, but otherwise this song just screams ellis at me and i never really know why its just a warm fuzzy good vibe and that's them all over. 

florrie - take me to church 

a song thats an endictment of catholicism And fucking???? all the ingredients to make up a solid florrie song. there are a few lines that give me big florrie energy (she's the giggle at the funeral / knows everybody's disapproval / my lover's the sunlight / get something shiny) but in general i imagine florrie would fare well being worshipped, i think that's a great dynamic for her, so this is reflective of that. 

griffin - someone new 

i don't think this one really needs much explanation - griffin falls fast and hard and often. he's my romeo, and every bit as naive.

beyond that, i do think that griff is someone who doesn't believe there's a Right Way to go about things and he's quite happy to muddle through life and always seems to land on his feet - a great person to help someone really uptight unwind hahaha 

imogen - my love will never die 

of all the characters, imogen is the one who is most likely to get on her knees and beg someone to love her. 

also she loves flowers 💐 

nyra - to be alone 

this one is also pretty literal lmao i am many things but i am Not a deep thinker. she doesn't love crowds, and i think the thing that nyra would value most in a partner is having someone that she can be alone with, if that makes sense? one of those special people that you can hang out with and still have the regenerative effect of alone time. 

when we meet nyra in body count she's in the midst of a really hard time in her life - we're at a real low point for her. she doesn't really feel like a person, she feels like a zombie dragging herself from one day to the next. she needs to work through that on her own (falling in love doesn't Magically Fix People), but i think that her relationship with MC would give her a few little sparking reminders to help guide her on her way. 

rowan - jackie and wilson 

again soz this is on her character playlist hahaha! this is an absolute rowan anthem for me - she is my roman candle of the wild. i mean obviously this song is so fun and that is Very Rowan, but the "better yet, she wouldn't care" particularly speaks to me. rowan is very much someone who can meet people where they're at with grace and understanding and help to build them up. 

syd - work song 

syd was the hardest person to match a song with, weirdly, but it was the second verse that really cinched it (and I was burnin' up a fever / i didn't care much how long i lived / but i swear i thought i dreamed her / she never asked me once about the wrong i did). syd is a hard person to Date because they are a fuck up! they don't always get things right or know the right things to say or make the right gesture. that said, if someone can work through the initial challenges with them, they would be rewarded with endless devotion (albeit expressed in their own funny little way). 

vinh - in a week 

lying down and dying together in a field to be eaten by animals is peak romance to vinh lmao. in general, i think once they find Their Person it will be someone that they can feel at home and happy with regardless of the situation, and there isn't much that they wouldn't be willing to endure as long as they had that.

OKAY LET'S GO!!! First off, I think that Dawn has always had a 1989 vibe to me. 1989 is sonically one of my lesser favorites honestly, but I think it's intriguing because it's this super poppy, mainstream hit after hit album but it's also just so deeply... unsure, in some ways. You've got shake it off and blank space, pop hits but also hits that are very acutely self-deprecating in the way that they try to come off as unbothered. It's parody but at her own expense, making fun of her own image and portrayal. Dawn is very bright and cheery but is also this very self-unsure, nervous individual in my interpretation of her and I think that parallels nicely. We open with welcome to new york, which makes me think of Dawn's contest debut! Dawn was very intentional in becoming a coordinator, rather than May who kind of stumbled into it. "Everybody here wanted something more" just makes me think of her ambition. So: Dawn, 1989. Big debut into her profession (pop debut, contests), very self-aware but tries to brush it off, but still a very bright and fun person.

Gary: does monologue song count LMAO. Joking, I think Red. Upbeat and loud and self-assured at first (22, I knew you were trouble), but you dive down deep and see that the seemingly shallow pool is actually a huge ocean of a character/album that will stand long beyond its time and cement itself as a fan favorite. I think Holy Ground really fits him, though I cannot for the life of me explain why. However, the cockiness /affectionate of I Bet You Think About Me fits him SO WELL!!! Also. "I'll be summer sun for you, forever".

Misty: Debut. Classic, the OG, might burn your house down, unhinged teenage girl energy. Hates that STUPID OLD PICKUP TRUCK YOU NEVER LET HER DRIVE. She's energetic, loud, and a trailblazer for all the albums and pokegirls to come. Starting off with a BANG and a banjo. Not much else to say, just pure iconic energy (but with a soft side!!! secretly a HUGE romantic).

Drew: Okay, a weird one. I almost went Evermore (introspective to almost a fault, way too in his own head, a dreamer in his own way and a timeless romantic) but ultimately I think my interpretation of Drew is just SO reputation. Cold on the outside, but the most romantic, soft interior once you get to know him. Drew also is a famous coordinator and has his own fan club (in canon, consisting of moms who have merch of him for... some reason, which. shoutout to the discord friends that have dubbed it the milf club- or was that my fault???? that might have been a taylorism [me taylor lol, not swift taylor]) BUT ANYWAYS Rep explores themes of finding love in crowed places which I tend to lean into in contestshipping fics and ideas, themes of avoiding fame and finding that balance of letting people in versus shutting them out. Also, you either love him or hate him, I've noticed, much like reputation. He comes off a bit offputting at first and people tend to write him off as annoying before they get to know him (cough, first tracks of rep are not at all indicative of rep as a whole BUT FUCKING SLAP ONCE YOU GET THE VIBES!) Also because I will defend both of them until death.

May: I was stuck between a LOT for my favorite girlie. I know you have her as lover which is SO PERFECT but i think anime may specifically feels very fearless/speak now. I went with Fearless, but it could go either way with a brief shoutout to Red who almost made it. Fearless is kind of in her own little world, lost in thought, a dreamer who is still figuring it all out. But like May, Fearless has some spunk, too! I think specifically Tell Me Why reminds me a LOT of May and Harley's rivalry. "You took a swing, I took it hard, and down here from the ground I see who you are". Minus the romantic part of it, it reminds me SO SO SO much of Harley's supportive act and then turning on her, back and forth. Fearless is naive, and so is May. "And I know that you see what you're doing to me- tell me why!" I think ultimately though, Fearless is finding her way. Fearless is in new territory, making her own path as a dreamer and an optimist. Also, just entirely nostalgic. I saw Fearless in concert as a kid and May has always been my favorite, just very nostalgic for me for both of them.

Iris: Speak Now! Spunky. A little outta pocket. Would probably call you out for marrying a shitty person in the middle of your own damn wedding. Purple. I still don't have an amazing grasp on Iris, but Speak Now is THAT BITCH who SPEAKS HER MIND whether it's THE TIME FOR IT OR NOT and I think that feels very Iris to me in the best way. Iris is not afraid, she's here to be heard, but she's also just. soft. baby. friend.

Paul: Okay, weird one here. Paul has... issues. Problems. I think that in an ideal world we get a paul redemption and he was written a bit differently, and I think that Paul could have his Midnights era, very retrospective and kind of looking at things that went wrong in the past and figuring out how to move on from that. Not an album or Taylor, technically, but Renegade by Big Red Machine ft. TS fits, I think. "Are you really gonna talk about timing in times like these? Let all your damage damage me? Carry your baggage up my street?" The ultimate song of 'hey, maybe deal with your issues please so I can make you the blorbo I want you to be'. /joking but also not really. Quite literally, "is it insensitive of me to say, get your shit together so I can love you?"

Tracey: Folklore. Soft, gentle, would comfort me while I'm crying at 2 am, would bake cookies with me. Simple as that. "When I felt like I was an old cardigan under someone's bed, you put me on and said I was your favorite". I stand by Folklore and Evermore being the albums for people who think they don't like Taylor Swift btw, random side note. I think also, Tracey has this bright imagery with his art, and so does Folklore. Folklore is a very imagery-driven album in its lyrics. It's evocative- I think the biggest examples of this are Invisible String, Illicit Affairs, and Hoax. I'll just close my eyes to those songs and let my mind wander off... which, admittedly, also happens during some orange islands/johto episodes and most of the diancie movie, but you know what I mean lol. They're still a GREAT vibe.

It's on 8tracks and starts with If I Had A Heart by Fever Ray

If I Had A Heart - Fever Ray Jado's a krawl, he's empty of empathy, so has no heart. "This will never end, 'cause I want more." He's gluttonous for power, as shown in Beyond the Portals when he absorbs the other highkrawls' remains and begs Krux for more power and energy after his last defeat in that game. The song is a lot more somber than canon Jado is, while it fits my fanfic post-canon version of him where he survives the attack in Kaio and becomes a more jaded and menacing person.

Ice Cream Truck - Montana Of 300 Destruction, chaos, and violence. Krawl overrun civilizations that can't fight them with spectrobes or other effective weapons like it's nothing. Jado's part of that and enjoys it.

Haifisch - Rammstein Song about sharks. Jado pointy teeth. Also Rammstein Slaps and I used to listen to the song a lot as a teen. That's all. The lyrics don't really fit Jado at all. From what I understand and interpret it as the song's about tough people sticking together, being compared to sharks - you never see sharks cry because they live in water so the tears are invisible. I think if Jado were to cry he'd bawl like a mf in the open and the highkrawl don't stick together at all, so that's no fit...

Duality - Slipknot Bonkers going crazy song. Jado looks like a guy who could absolutely lose it to me. I think he's in a lot of pain being Krux's thumb, never living up to expectations and emotionally and physically abused.

Tube of Medusa Remix - FlashBaron Tube of Medusa imo is a hell level in the game Ecco Tides of Tide. The jellyfish gave child me anxiety and dread. It's marine animals + ocean/water setting game and level, so the connection there is that Jado is flash/water element.

Tangential Friend - PengoSolvent No real thought put into this aside me liking the song back when I made the playlist and thinking the vibe of the tune would fit in with Jado! But: "And I just know ; I nod because I can't stop you." Agreeing with Krux because own agency isn't tolerated? I can draw more connection throught that lol. The song is full of energy but sad, kind of anxious. The more orchestral parts of the song make me think about trying to rise to something higher, so Jado trying to show he's worth something, but never managing to do so. He's just a small non-threat, like the light chime-like notes being hit throughout the entire song.

Assassinations - Stateless Song has a creepy, lurking sound. Jado kills people, and the highkrawl around above considering to kill each other (not shown, but I assume so) and their leader (shown, if I remember right. I think Maja considered overthrowing Krux? I might misremember). "You can't stop whatever is 'round the corner" Jado very much has 'monster/shadow lurking right around the corner' vibes.

Lost It To Trying (Mouths Only Lying) - Son Lux He tried three times shown in canon to beat the main protag, prove himself, and talked a lot of empty smack in the process. This song's about the idea of him realizing this and wallowing in the shame and directionlessness of his failure.

I'm Not Done - Fever Ray About every time in canon he comes back after being assumed defeated/dead and my post-canon fanfic where he survives again and comes back stronger for real this time.

i agree with that anon, ive been reading all ur asks bc i agree with some things and this feels like a safe place to accept it ♥lol, and yeah i always think "i dont have to love everything they do" we know even tho they work so good together as bts we know they have different styles and its their time to do whatever they want, personally i feel more connected with the rap line content, not that i didnt love the astrounaut or jimin's album, i was more nervous with taehyung because even if i think his music is so beautiful and i do like it a lot, its not exactly music i would normally listen to, my favorite is rainy days and i still hate the sound of the notifications in it lmao, but whatever... and just like jk, i liked seven a lot but i know a big part of it is that i loved the music video, it was fUN and at first i was like okay okay this song is so radio type, its viral music, and i enjoy it, lyrically i mean there is not so much depth, not that i need it but i know what it is about so i decide that i dont mind and still everytime its on the radio or comes in my playlist i have fun im dancing and singing and im like yeah bro go off!,

i know imagining animatics/fanvids set to songs is a time-tested fandom tradition, and i vaguely remember that you talked about having playlists dedicated to characters, so i wanted to ask: do you have any songs in particular that inspires you to translate it into a different medium? (not necessarily for fic purposes)

like for example i recently listened to gravity by john mayer (the lyrics is so stucky-coded, which you know, ouch) and i'm vividly imagining making a stopmotion thing with paperdolls that have movable joints flat on the table, a snowy sky as the background, the bucky doll falling in slow motion (as the background streaks red) while we see the form of a chair slowly becoming visible at the bottom of the screen... and then it switches to a parallel scene where the steve doll's falling with the pieces of the triskelion floating in midair. then as he crashes into the river we see the bottom of it is the waterlogged version of the room he wakes up in the future, and as he lands on the bed it freezes him ❄ the frost spreads and spreads, until it reaches the other doll being held in its own cold prison, serving as a tomb where he slumbers ❄

...wish i knew how to outline things properly and break tasks down into manageable chunks lol, but it is very fun to think about making art! (but actually following thru ambitious projects is 😭)

As far as imagining fics based on songs, you can very much see that I do that to some degree with the amount of fics I have that use song lyrics as titles, lol. But when that happens, it's not so much about hearing a song and then coming up with a fic concept based on the song, usually, I have the fic written, then a song comes on shuffle and I go Oh! Oh, This Is The Exact Vibe! This Song Has To Be The Title Now!

Your idea for the John Mayer song sounds beautiful and haunting, by the way! It perfectly fits that song! It would be truly, truly breathtaking. Just the idea in my imagination is breathtaking.

He gets up, turning over to crawl, and eventually finds the strength to walk. To stagger. It cuts to black. Blocking him from fire, from bullets, from danger and absolute death with his body. I see Steve taking the stand in Bucky's defense against the United Nations Court. They will only convict Bucky if it's over his dead body. I see Steve and Bucky lying in bed, sheets tangled, Steve's fingers tracing Bucky's jaw, his sharp cheekbones... yeah.

This song, depending on the mood I'm in when it comes on, flips back and forth between coming from Bucky's point of view, about Steve, or Steve's point of view about Bucky.

It's mostly the same either way, I see Bucky or Steve filling the role of the narrator in the song--waking up to see their partner bleeding, shaking, incoherent, and hurting. They're dazed. So hurt that they have a thousand yard stare and can't totally focus. The rest of the night is spent on the balcony of their apartment. Smoking a cigarette despite supposedly having quit, sharing it between them silently. When they slide back into bed at dawn, they're wrapped up so entirely in each other.

Getting nostalgic thinking about my babystay days 🥲 I literally remember where I was sitting and how my computer was positioned when I first sat down and listened to Back Door for the first time (I think that was my first skz song). And fool that I was, my reaction was "meh" 😭

(For context, I've always been a lyrics person with music and Back Door is admittedly not that deep, but I've since come to appreciate that not all songs have to be deep and sometimes what we need is a song that's just there for the vibes and that is perfectly acceptable and serves its purpose and there are some GREAT songs in that category!)

I've obviously since changed my mind about Back Door, but I started liking skz for them (which is every marketer's dream) because I somehow stumbled across them amidst BTS Pinterest and thought they were funny crackheads (one of the things I also loved BTS for).

But I'm also remembering how later that summer (2021) I heard TOP in an anime openings compilation that my brother begged me to put on and—not knowing it was skz—I just stopped and went "wait wait hold up this is GOOD" and then "by Stray Kids" came onscreen and I was like "huh that's funny, but surely it's some jpop band with the same name" and then "3racha" came on in the credits with their respective names and I flipped my freaking gourd as my Southern dad would say

So suffice to say, I can prove decidedly that I would also like their music if I didn't give a flying flip about the boys lol. But I do and it's lowkey a problem but I also lowkey don't care and my fandom Pied Piper-ness has been successful in the past, so it will in fact not be stopping cuz we still constructing keep it coming HAH WHY U MAD BRAH

It doesn't feel like that long ago and it feels weird that I'm more "veteran" than like half the Stays in existence now aghhhh but their growth never really hit me because to me, each win just felt like a natural course of events. Like, "yeah, of course this should blow up, it's awesome and we know it's awesome!" And it's not like them getting bigger has changed them either. All that's changed is a growing obsession with grabbing each other's butts imo 🤣 That, and the natural course of maturing a little around the edges as you get older.

Which, in the end, is what makes me STAY and always will. The heart and mind of each Stray Kid is fascinating to me and I can't properly describe how much I love how they process the world around them. If you need any further proof, watch the Maxident album intro segment about what love means to them, because if you see what I saw, you'll see eight men with a better understanding of the concept than many people far older than them, each with their own slant on it.

Where did this essay come from, I was only posting about those first two babystay moments— Rather than rambling further, because I want to do other things with my life today, I'm just gonna say, if you're reading this, Chris, I'm glad. I hope this little segment of my "Stay Story" makes your day a little brighter! Thanks for reassuring me for still talking about Taylor. So you were right..she announced a new bonus track! I was kinda surprised since I thought this would be more like the way it was with Folklore and Evermore which only had 1 and 2. I wonder how many there will be and if they will feel like part of the album or not or more like the extra 3AM tracks on Midnights. Of course they still feel part of the album, and that might be cuz we actually were able to hear them all right after the album. That's probably my one complaint about it..and I know it will be online right away but I just like having the full picture of the album. I think this might be my favorite cover so far too. This time, the name didn't make me think of anything or give me any idea of the song. All I knew Is that it's the name of a bird. But i liked the lyric and it made me wonder more if it went with that song. I will keep your predictions of these other lyrics in mind but I haven't thought about it much yet. If these are the only lyrics we end up with, I will make predictions. I was just looking at the Midnights ones and I got half right. What did you think? i feel like i go to california quite a bit although i'm very rarely in the LA area — i might take a trip down next year to the palm springs area to go catch a hockey game though! but yes, normally when i'm in california i'm over closer to san jose (like a 45 minute drive from there i think)!

i did have fun at fall out boy!! i still maintain that no concert should be that long (started at 6:30, got out around 11:15) though (just because i like being in my bed early haha). didn't get home till closer to 12:30 but that's ok! i was worried i wouldn't have fun because i didn't know as many songs as i wanted to but it was still a blast!!

did you see the new bonus track? the black dog? i'm really curious about what it'll be about! i saw something about black dog / mythology, and that would make a lot more sense over the literal black dog i was thinking of haha. i often think of midnights with 3am, but i think without the 3am midnights as an album goes down quite a bit in my rankings! i don't know how i feel about the mashups — i feel like sometimes they're clunky but i do like them in theory? i don't know though. i'm curious to see if she's going to just keep doing mashups for the rest of the tour or if she'll change it up a bit.

I think it's a mix of both. Some groups have genuine friendships with each other and some groups are simply coworkers. Both are fine. As long as they are mature about differences and treat each other with basic respect and decency (literally the bare minimum), then I don't see the issue at all. Being an idol is just a job after all. If they are able to form a genuine connection with a member or all of them, then that's great.

Do I think certain members are meant to be together? No. I don't think anyone is meant to be together tbh. The idea of fated partners and soulmates is cute, but I don't think exists. It works best in fiction. But I know some people's bonds and compatibilities are so strong that it can feel like they were fated and that's totally fine. It's sweet. Even my best friend and I joke about us being meant to be and being "married". And yes I do agree that some ships are definitely pushed more to the public to draw more attention. Some ships may be close, some ships may not be, and we'll never 100% know as we are not those people. If you want my own thoughts on WooSan and SeongJoong though, I do think they're actually close, just not in the way some delulus try to say lol. WooSan have a matching tattoo (it would be absolutely insane to have something permanent with a person you're not close to lmao) and SeongJoong have expressed deep care to each other several times. Even though astrology isn't everything, it's interesting how SeongJoong's synastry is so harmonious.

Yes most likely, I think kpop has often been targeted towards younger audiences. Especially now with so many young people debuting. The industry is saturated and very competitive, so maybe that's why a lot of songs lately are a bit generic and uninspiring. Its heavy use of TikTok I'm sure is just a way to promote and gain attention since it's one of the biggest social media platforms rn. I can't speak much for gidle as I don't follow them...I don't think it's self sabotage though, it just sounds like you are not vibing with their music anymore. Sounds like you are losing interest with kpop in general and that's ok.

Why do you want to wait for someone to ask you out? Why don't you pursue someone? Maybe it's you who has to make the move - don't wait for it. But only if you care that much lol. I don't think you have be very pretty and expressive to get a date, but looks can def play a part in attracting someone. You don't have to be the prettiest or the best in general really to get someone though.

I'm aro ace with no interest in pursuing romance, so it isn't a concern of mine at all. I know that you might know as much as a next person about HL life, but perspective differs from person to person.. and I would like to know yours.. so here it goes, why do you think louis is singing 'I love him, I hate it' in back to you.. is he saying that he loves this person and he hates that he cannot do anything about it?? I know most of the people are thinking harry and B could just be friends.. but I don't think so, I came to terms with that when harry posted his backstage pic after brits and it had B next to him, even his manager, producer were all somewhere far comparatively.. Louis is in his best phase right now. He has confessed that he's not taking much pressure and he's enjoying his life. The situation was much different when he started the tour and he used to feel pressurised and anxious. So even though I'm not sure if HL are together or not but I for sure know that Louis feels very content right now. In both his career and personal life. He's doing great on tour, we know how excited he is for another edition of his own festival this year too. He's very happy about his sister's pregnancy (the amount of baby posts he liked just to celebrate that news was insane lol). So please don't worry about him, he's doing great and he knows he's gonna get bigger and bigger with every album.

Regarding the 'I love him' line I really think it's just queer coded. He has been very confident about his approach towards fans and he knows people love him so he has been doing some things that I wouldn't have believed he would ever do before this tour. That include I love him line and fucked him written on screen behind him. So I don't think it has anything to do with his relationship status but it's much more about his desire to be seen for who he really is. All because he's so fucking confident in himself right now. I agree it really is a big deal. And m so glad he's taking these steps. And really Louis just removed songs that didn't suit his vibe on this tour. Those songs weren't in accordance with his current pop punk image. It was a decision based on his overall set list and new album. I don't think it has anything to do with who he wrote them for.

And Brad? He's just another white rich asshole feeding off harry's money and fame that Harry needs to keep around like a minion. I really don't think there's anything between Harry and Bread. He's just another useless addition to his team, much like Xander was, X's gf was, X's brother was, James corden was, and several others were. If harry wanted to start such a public relationship with a male then his team would have roasted it enough to get attention worth his entire lifetime. They won't leave such a perfect opportunity. Here's what I thought of IVE's 'I've IVE'

An 11 songs album! I almost thought Starship will go the Blackpink way with IVE, releasing barely any songs and keeping the public desperate (it would've been a fail if they did that anyway lol).

It's actually really good! It has a very IVE vibe, if that makes sense? Like the thing that makes IVE stand out, it's oozing from this, it's beautiful.

Starting with the title track —

I AM

It's BEAUTIFUL, it's everything I wanted and more! Also Liz finally got her lines!! I saw someone say that Starship gave her too little lines in Kitsch on purpose to start a scandal, to get people anticipating IVE's album, and I completely agree with that.

Liz's part in the second verse is my favorite, in the MV too it gives a very luxurious vibe and I LOVE that. Leeseo's parts are really good too, though, I never noticed just how good her vocals are.

THE ENDING CHORUS WAS LIT, THE LINE "I hope you'd be someone's dream come true" IT JUST I JUST LOVE IT
