eurgh the only thing i’ll say for that dumb last minute separation is at least it was somewhat in character for palm

although then that whole conversation on the bed was basically a repeat of the one they had like 2 (?) eps ago so like what was the point beyond trying to fill screentime

anyways they could have drawn out the resolution of the whole kidnapping thing considerably more and i would’ve been fine. also more benchopper development and seeing nueng actually run the business with palm and his mom at his side would’ve been nice. but no we had to do the eleventh hour breakup thing 🙄
