the "average neopian gets 5 fountain faerie quests in a year" factoid is actually just statistical error. ffq georg, who gets an ffq every day and complains on the neoboards to try to get ffqs taken off the faerie festival quest roster, is an outlier and should not be counted.

update: 18 years, 1 month, and 25 days after creating my first neopets account (and one day after creating this post to throw shade at ppl who get ffqs all the damn time), i finally received my first at precisely 10:46 PM NST. let it be known for posterity's sake that it was also for a cheap item (fire faerie apple).
