When I want to see a favourite character having a really terrible time, in a way that's perfectly tailored to their characterisation and what makes them tick, I know where to go. And I deeply appreciate your fondness for and thus nuanced and understanding and writing of beloved characters who are not always given that grace elsewhere. I already mentioned it last week but I put the link again as I want to make clear and helpful post for the list. This list is truly amazing as a huge WOT fan you can find there many various resources - Printed Material, Subreddits, Websites & Apps, Wheel of Time Artwork, YouTube Channels, Podcasts, Discord Servers and Other Stuff. It is updated to Fall 2021.

Lia’s WoT Liveblog (Spoilers Possible) - A liveblog from a first time reader as she goes through the series. Both entertaining and insightful. She is incredibly good at noticing little details and foreshadowing. I have read all her posts and found them quite enjoyable. There technically aren’t any spoilers, but she notices a lot of things that a typical first time reader wouldn’t catch so I’m giving it the “spoilers possible” designation to be safe.

'Lews Therin Telamon, Lord Second of the Hall of Servants, battles with a society increasingly on the brink as well as his own foreboding that something darker may be fuelling the unrest. Then there’s his destiny, spoken by those who cannot lie but also can’t be trusted, that he must ‘wield war for the sake of peace.’ What does it all mean?

Set during the start of the Collapse. My take on the Age of Legends society. Canon compliant as much as I can manage. One-shot (hopefully part of a series or I’ll add more chapters). Gen. Very minor mentions of plague and violence.'

Finally, after all these years, I've finished it - the start at least. Many thanks to @neuxue @unmarkedcards and @elan-morin-tedronai as your fics and/or discussions have helped inspire this a bit. I couldn't find how to tag you on AO3 so others could find your stories though.

I'm currently in the process of posting my WIP weekly, so I'll give two lines here:

First, the last line of the last-posted chapter:

They clung to one another, hanging on for dear life as, despite all reason, time continued passing and the world carried on in its uncaring eternity.

Second, the last line I just typed of the next chapter, still in progress, as I worked on it during my lunch break:

They were in this moment nothing more than two survivors leaning on one another to take another shaky step forward.

I still know (or know of) very few people on Tumblr, and I don't know how many might be currently writing/drawing anything, so I can't meet the word count expectation. 😅

AND the story behind my URL is typically silly tbh: my sister had a socmed account with a name that leveraged her name’s use in an idiom and I thought that was Super Neat. Unfortunately my name is not also a noun, so I went the idiom route with the revised version of “curiosity killed the cat.” Originally it was curiosity-killed18 bc it’s my fave number but dropped it pretty quick and now I’m just out here forever signing my art as Curio

The irony of this is: (1) I am a deeply curious person, to the point that it is one of the most used words to describe me, and (2) I love cats. That said, I do often regret things I learn on the internet, so maybe it’s a 9 lives type of deal

technically I already answered this one but it feels like it's good for me to come up with more good things going on in my life right now.

I realized recently that I'd calculated monthly income incorrectly and there's a much better margin between it and spending than I thought there was, which was a really nice surprise to get.

I'm starting planning for summer and there's some fun things that @ameliarating and I might do, no settled plans but several ideas all of which would be enjoyable and are exciting to consider.

cat. seriously though, she's always a good thing in my life, during the work day she comes and hangs out on my lap sometimes and it makes everything at least a little bit better.
