do you have any other Nestor Headcannons I'd love to hear them

I have a few but not many !!

Nestor is the Leader of the Artisans, and the King of Dragons (In Spyros Kingdom)

Nestor adopted Spyro with Lateef, they later split when Spyro was 5

Nestors just a chill guy, not a mean bone in his body!! But if you disappoint him the effect is lethal like you never wanna hurt this mans feelings

He will do ANYTHING for Spyro, absolutely anything, and to some extent, Spyro is spoiled, but Nestor would never admit that

Nestor doesn't believe he is that great of a King and protected that insecurity onto Spyro believing he'll be the better successor, although the entire Kingdom believes he is the best King they've ever had

Hes very forgiving, and somewhat naive

He's a very good cook !!

He loves to carry Spyro and will do it until hes too big to lift, no matter how old he is (he will always hug his son 🫶🫶)

He can understand Sparx, he just doesn't mention it

Nestor regrets sending Spyro to the Academy, he misses his son and worries for the shift in his personality

He wants to retire early, he doesn't enjoy being King and plans to retire as soon as Spyro is ready

Year Of The Dragon Elders

January - Nestor

Did you know that this Year of the Dragon, according to the calender, is the the year of the Wood Dragon? Then it is only fitting to have Nestor to start off this challenge!

Drew some of my regular Ed Asner grouchy old friends again. And other frequent comfort characters. This time with Hudson in human form from “The Mirror”.

Also tried some playing around with character design stuff. My influences seem pretty obvious

I caught up to June, yay! This challenge is actually really good for me because of art block funk and because I never actually drew these dragons! Super fun. :)

2/75. Posting this here too. I finally completed it, I have a lot of drawings to finish 😭 I should start writing ideas on a piece of paper or something. I'm both working on the next dude and Steb. There are a few work in progresses on my ko-fi page but I'm pretty sure I'll make some changes on the drawing hehe.

Nestor is most definitely one of my top favorite Reignited Dragons. Possibly #1… right up there with Lucas. Enjoy this sketch!

does spyro have like an extreme fear of anything related to dark magic after what he went through in your au

hmmm tough question !

I think his fears remain majorly with what HE is capable of and WHO is after him, rather than Dark Magic itself. Dark Spyro however is afraid of OTHERS (not his own) Dark Magic after his reformation arc, but more specifically, Strykore.

Spyro is more afraid of Malefor, with him being his real Father, all of his power comes from him. Considering the relationship and what Malefors intentions are, and how reserved Spyros adoptive Father (Nestor) is on the topic- he feels he will never understand his abilities, and after the Dark Spyro arc, fears what he COULD do.

2024 officially marks a new ‘Year of the Dragon’, and with it comes many fitting releases: The dancing toothless meme, HotD season 2, and possible mutterings and hopes of a new Spyro game. Whether the latter is true or not, what better time could there be for fans to come together in a fun, year-long art challenge? 

A fun fan-art challenge thought-up by myself and @my-world-my-stories (Be sure check out her socials if you love Spyro fan-art, especially great OCs). Simply drawing each of the chosen dragon elders from the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. Corresponding to each month, as if they were pin-ups for a calendar. 

They can be in whatever style, medium, tone you choose: Fun, sexy, action packed or simple - all up your creativity. Once uploaded, share with the hashtag #YearOfTheDragonElders so everyone can see it.  

ALSO, as an optional bonus; you can choose, any time of the year, to draw your own Dragon Elder in the Reignited style! Could be any of the others missing from this prompt list, an OC, yourself, or a dragon from another franchise. Whatever takes your fancy. 

There’s no pressure to finish this challenge to completion. Whether you do one, two, a dozen or a baker’s dozen; This isn’t a race nor a competition with a set deadline. The purpose of this is to have fun in celebration of these characters and their brilliant designs.

So...summer, huh? Like Summer Forest?

WAIT, PUT DOWN YOUR PITCHFORKS! LET ME EXPLAIN WHERE I'VE BEEN!

So, it's been pretty rough with some things happening (mostly school and that hard reset with my Mac, which killed off my motivation for drawing for ACTUAL months). This summer, I wanted to be productive with other things (reading, website coding, learning music theory, etc.) so I never picked up my stylus...until now.

I found out about this Spyro challenge where you're supposed to draw an Elder for each month, and I wanted to join! I'm unsure if I'll do it every month, but I plan on doing headshots for each Elder so I should be fine. No cartoony style for them, sorry.

So here's January and February's Elders: Nestor and Useni!

(23) Dec #03: Nestor [Spyro]

The Carpenter Dragon! As mentioned with Gnasty Gnorc, I started playing the Reignited trilogy again earlier in the month. I might do more headshots of these dragons and such, but don't hold me to that. xD; Anyway, hope you guys enjoy it!
