funny enough, i started this one weeks before nekushiki week began but only just now got to finishing it. ive always loved the idea of a post-neo neku & shiki who have recently started dating and theyre still in the blushy stumbly part of the relationship. neither can believe they managed to snag the other. shiki is so thrilled to have neku back and clings on to him and drags him around and neku is just captivated by her at every moment.

I AM SO EXCITED TO SHARE THIS! This has been in the works for a while, and many of the things I can do in AE I learned while making this video. So even though I have kind of outgrown this video skill-wise since then, I am still really really proud of it! :D

I know this song from the Sunlit Studios farewell MEP, and funny story there, it's actually by checking in to see what some former members of Sunlit are up to that I found SilentStormfall and learned that TWEWY got an anime! I love the butterfly effect of me joining a specific studio when I was like 15/16 leading to my current hyperfixation lol.

nekushiki week day 2: smile and frown // role reversal

i wanted to do a redraw of this anime scene for SO LONG. then nekushiki week happened and i said screw it, neku is shiki’s entry fee now.

in my au neku is a sweet and wholesome boy who just loves CAT and music and wants to be a big shot street artist. shiki is a bitter and lonely girl who had The Fight with eri a few years prior, which ended their friendship and her dream of being a fashion designer. the whole event left her with trauma that caused her to shut people out ever since.

ofc neku leaves a huge impact on her heart. he inspires her to dream again, gives her a reason to fight through the game, and encourages her to reconcile with eri when she comes back to life. but then this happens.

my sister (jokingly) asked if neku had mr. mew in this au and i (jokingly) replied “yeah but he’s not named mr. mew”
