OP Trans!Crocodile Headcanon:

Crocodile lied about how he got that scar bisecting his face...

Anytime it was brought up he would heavily imply that he got it in some horribly intense battle — but then Croc would always avoid making any actual direct statements on the matter, instead leaving it up to the combined forces of the listener's imagination and the rumor mill.

(Hence the surprisingly widespread assumption that he got it fighting Whitebeard...)

But, the real cause of it?

His first attempt at shaving his face (after transitioning via Ivankov) Crocodile honestly forgot that he had a hook for a hand.
