ignoring . the periods theyre from & all that i think victoria waterfield would loooveee pheobe bridgers and boygenius (teenage girl w anxiety) . zoe heriot listens to exclusively hyperpop and vocaloid (claims it helps her focus) . polly wright listens to pop music . not taylor swift but like . maisie peters & chappell roan (big fan of upbeat break-up songs) . ben jackson listens to the beatles and weezer (enough said) . i genuinely cannot see jamie mccrimmon listening to anything without bagpipes no matter the time period (theyre intertwined in his character) .

went for another monster vibe with this one just because it felt right!

you were being haunted ─ it's ridiculous, you know that, but that was the truth. of course, no one would believe you if you told them such, so it was a truth you'd kept to yourself.

but it wasn't so bad; certainly not as scary as the stories or media painted it to be. or perhaps you were just lucky. ─ regardless, you enjoyed the presence of your eerie formed roommate, elliott. you don't quite know what he was, but you'd stuck to calling him a ghost, and he didn't seem to mind. (although he certainly didn't fit what a ghost was in media, you thought it the only thing to call him.)

you'd learned he was a writer when he was alive, and he loved when you read to him. it became routine to stop at a bookstore on your way home to pick up a new book every weekend to bring home with you, just so you had one to pick up when you were finished with the book prior.

you don't quite know when your mutual understand of being somewhat roommates became a back and forth of feelings unspoken between you. (you also don't how to feel knowing you'd come to love a being who wasn't even living.) and yet it was a norm, if only to you and elliott.

"i'm home!"

elliott was in front of you before you could finish hanging your coat, a smile on his face and his hands behind his back in a gentlemanly manner. "welcome home."

"i got another book." you returned his smile as you pulled the book from the bag in your hand, holding it up for him to see.

"horror?" he asked as he read over the title, the cover of the book giving away an intent to scare.

you hummed, "is there a problem? i can return it if you don't like it."

"ah, no, no," he shook his head, and waved his hand, "i've just never been the fondest of horror. i'm always so spooked after."

you had to bite back a, you are what people make horror books about, comment. you opted to instead nod, finding it hard to hide your amusement in the topic that you were sure he noticed. surely, he could see the humor in his words.

"i'll hold your hand when i read it to you." ─ it was a joke, something you had intended for him to laugh at.

and he did ─ but it was unexpected when he replied with, "would you? i think i'd feel much better."

being a musician with gallagher as a father is having him show up to every concert, beaming with pride as the sound of your music fills the room. from the moment you told him you wanted to learn to play an instrument, he had nothing but support for your aspirations. strings, brass, woodwind, it didn’t matter what you picked, he buys you the finest instrument and books the best of instructors to teach you how to play. he is nothing short of thrilled to watch you perform, nudging the people beside him to let them know that is his kid!
