The Monster Book of Monsters- Neville Longbottomx Hufflepuff!reader

Request: Neville Imagine where he always had a crush on Hufflepuff reder and she helps him after his incident with "The Monster Book of Monsters" with feels and fluff.

A/N: I changed a little bit but I hope you like it anyway! And I love this request because I'm a Hufflepuff myself and Neville is such a cute cinnamon roll!

The first time you met Neville was on your first ride to Hogwarts when he asked if he could sit with you. Of course you agreed and the two of you talked 'till he realized his toad Trevor was gone. You then helped him alongside Hermione find Trevor. And when you weren't able to find him you calmed Neville down. From this day on you and Neville were best friends even when you were sorted into different houses but in your third year something changed.

------------------------------------Third Year---------------------------------------------------------

Since the day you two met you were always by his side helping him when he was picked on or when he had problems with a subject, especially Potions. Today was your first lesson Care of Magical Creatures and you were super excited, but Nevillie wasn't so you tried to cheer him up a Little while you were on your way to Hagrid's hutt.

"Come on, Neville! It will be so much fun!"

"What if we study something dangerous?"

"Hagrid would never exposure us to any danger, Neville. So don't worry!" But Neville didn't seem that convinced.

"At least give me a smile," you said grinning brightly at him making him smile a little. "See! That's what I was hoping for!"

You arrieved at Hagrid's hutt just in time to hear him say that you would study Hippogriffs today making your excitment grow even more but it also made Neville a bit uneasy. The whole class then followed Hagrid and when you all first saw the Hippogriffs there was a round of "Oooh"s and "Aww"s.  Hagrid then asked you to open your books making you all look kind of scared because let's face it everyone tried to open this bloody book but failed miserably when the book began biting. So most of the class looked at their books and then to each other like "What are we going to do?". Meanwhile Neville already loosened the belt around his book and the book took that chance and started to bite Neville. And of course you as his best friend helped him wrestling the book and getting the belt back around the book. So now you are sitting on the ground together with the now tammend book between you when Hagrid told you that all you had to do was stroke their back. And so you wanted to try it with Neville's book that lay in front of you and as you were about to grab it Neville wanted to do the same making your hands touch. And even though it was just a brief touch for Neville it was something Special because that was the Moment he realized that he was utterly in love with you.

---------------------------------------Fifth year-------------------------------------------------------

Since this day Neville was in love with you but he never had the guts to tell you. So as time passed you had of course a few boyfriends but it didn't work with any of them and Neville was always there for you when a relationship ended.

That leads you to this day when you were sitting under a tree by the lake with Neville after you saw one of your ex boyfriends with some other girl. Of course you didn't have any Feelings for him anymore but it still bothered you. And Neville tried to cheer you up by talking about everything and nothing but you were still in bad mood.

"I'm really sorry, Neville. I didn't mean to spoil our evening.."

"It's just.. I don't understand why you are still upset about this idiot. It's not like deserved you in the first place."

"What?" Now you were confused. What was he talking about?

"He didn't deserve someone like you. He is just a total idiot who never understood what he had when he was with you. He didn't see how beautiful you are when you smile." He was now very calm and you knew that what he had to say next was very important for him and without realizing you hold your breath.

"He didn't understood that he had a girlfriend with a personality of Gold. You deserve someone who loves every single Detail about you. You deserve who loves you like I Love you!"

You couldn't believe what he just said. He loves you! And you were happy about it! You couldn't even put it into words HOW happy it made you. So you did the only Thing that seemed right. You leaned Forward and pressed your lips gently on Nevilles while closing your eyes waiting for Neville to react. And in a split second one of Neville's Hands was caressed your cheek. After what feeled like forever you two had to part to get some air back into your lungs. You looked Neville into his eyes and saw nothing but love while he grabed one of your Hands.

"I love you too, Neville!"

Hello interwebs! Thank you for letting me shout my nerd into the void along countless others. I’ve been looking to a platform to talk about my larping experiences so my friends don’t all go deaf or disown me. Currently, I play both Alliance and Dystopia Rising, so content will be varied, but rarely boring. At least, I hope not boring... I suppose it would be wise to expect lots of pictures, some over enthusiastic event reviews, lots of costumes and props, and occasionally pictures of my face? Maybe? Possibly?
