Hi there! I think another eight to ten chapters ought to do it as things are going to move very quickly beginning chapter 47. So many things to tie up, but after the royal wedding, things will be wrapping up quite quickly. It’s been so much fun, not to mention a huge challenge, to get this baby done! Thanks for sticking to this fic for so long! I really appreciate everyone’s kind support. ^_~

Dearest Vanessa,

I would never have seen myself writing this form of letter, since I’d prefer to tell you these sorts of things in person. But you know how nosy Tamaki and the rest of the hosts can be, so I figured I’d let it slide just this once.

If I’m being quite honest, I’ve never met anyone like you. Though I wouldn’t necessarily consider this a bad thing. It’s… cute. (Don’t tell Tamaki I’ve written that. I mean it.) I find it almost comical when I catch you trying not to sleep in the middle of Modern Literature class, or when you groan at the complicated math problems on the board. I personally enjoy our study time together outside of school and club activities, where we spend moments at your home, drinking that bubble tea you enjoy so much.

To put it in the most straightforward way I can, there are many things I admire about you. Whether it be the way you sometimes come into class with a new hair colour, or the way you manage to tame the rambunctious club members. It makes you stand out from the rest. Though there are moments where you exude the same energy as that of the twins, or even Mitsukuni, you still seem to get along with me, despite how cold and aloof I come off as. 

I’d like to let you know that I love you much more than I let on. I want to get better at expressing these emotions to you more often, without the watchful eyes of our club’s members and guests. Everything feels different when we’re together, and I don’t want whatever we have to end any time soon.

Maybe, if you’d allow it of course, I could write more of these for you? How does that Sound?

Scenes on the fishing boat that Sherlock, John (and presumably Mycroft) conceal themselves on to approach the island were filmed safely moored in Cardiff Bay, on a tuna fishing boat named the Tunnara II. The small boat is a former lifeboat - of the Watson class.

Besides the obvious of 'I love you,' what was the best thing you've ever heard John tell you?

He’s said so many adulatory things in the time we’ve known each other. I don’t think it’s really the praise or the sincere outpouring of emotion. I love them, don’t misunderstand. When he told me I turned my collar up “to look cool,” as it were. The tone of utter frustration drove me a bit wild. The knowledge, as well, that he actually sees me. He sees me yet he stays.
