Finally went and redrew my first set of RWBY OCs from years ago. Formerly Team FNTM (Phantom), they have been rebranded as Team HRBK (Heartbreak)
Info under the cut
Hachiko “Fang” Lupine
Male Dog (Akita) Faunus
A bit of a flirt, having inherited the quality from his late mother, half sister, and his adopted uncle, Fang is the dedicated leader of Team HRBK, treating the rest of his team like sisters. While he's an efficient sharpshooter, he’s sweet like a dog, letting anyone he’s particularly fond of pet him. He has a bad habit of saying what’s on his mind with how much he hears and the scents he picks up.
Weapons: Bad Dogs - Custom dual heavy pistols that can flip into dual daggers. Both bullet and blade can be enhanced with capsules of dust loaded into the weapon. He keeps clips of rubber bullets to rebound his shots.
Semblance: Bloodhound - Passively enhances the user's sense of smell and hearing past that of most animals along with the ability to sense emotions and intent. Unable to be turned off, it makes the user particularly weak to sound or scent based attacks. When focused, the user can track and distinguish between targets for several miles out.
Mesa Rudras
Female Bear Faunus
A former star student of Atlas with an attitude, she transferred to Beacon out of boredom, believing the kingdom to be too stuffy. She has a habit of charging ahead, preferring to go in guns blazing and let her team plan around her. Having lost her arms in her initial attempt at making her weapon, a new set was commissioned by her grandfather's employer, provided he postpone a well deserved retirement.
Weapon: Big Rig - A mechanical great sword that shifts into a dust cannon that’s held from the top of the range pulses before needing to recharge on its own.
Semblance: Technologic - Mesa can control electronic signals to hack into or manipulate electricity based technology, pull up its full schematics, shut down, turn on, take control of its systems, or rewrite its coding. She often jokes that she's never tried messing with anyone's head.
Nepeta Bell
Female Human
Having been raised by sentient cats in the forests of Vale (generations of dust experimentation and breeding), Nepeta has several catlike qualities to her despite being a human. While not as gifted academically, her combat and survival skills are first rate. She tends to ignore personal space, often climbing on people when she wants to feel tall.
Weapons: Catscratch - Dual tri-bladed claws connected to metal and wood gauntlets via large gravity dust crystals that can be launched, retracted or pulled towards each other.
Semblance: Zoomies - Nepeta's perception of time speeds up, making everything seem like it's moving in slow motion, greatly increasing her reaction time.
Tsuguri Kusanagi
Female Human
Despite her secretive look, Tsuguri is basically her team’s mom, making sure to keep everyone's health up to par in and out of fights with her mother's teachings. Otherwise, she’s a somewhat studious girl with a tendency to get wrapped up in her own work, usually going out into the wild to gather herbs to use in homemade medicine.
Weapons: Shadow Lily - A kodachi that swivels into a double bladed staff at the base of the hilt then into a fuma shuriken.
Semblance: Doppelganger - Tsuguri can create a number of featureless silhouette clones of herself and switch places with them at will. These clone are capable of fighting alongside her by repeating or mirroring her actions, even using a copy of her weapon.

For reference, here’s list of the character’s strife specibi, complete with some images! Feel free to check it out under the cut!
-Mod Finn
June: Slingshotkind (Slingshot) X
A slighshot is a fairy normal thing all kids have owned at some point, so it’s something simple to use as her weapon, kind of like John’s hammer.
Slghshots are typically associated with rowdy little boys toys, highlighting how June doesn’t fully subscribe to the principals of Mum’s idea of femininity.
Rory: Ribbonkind (Gym ribbons) X
Ribbons were picked another simple everyday thing, one that can be used kind of like Rose’s knitting needles but with their own elegant twist.
They were originally suggested in the Discord to be for June. And now, much like Rose’s needles were a gift from John, Rory’s ribbons were a gift from June.
Dion: Bladekind (Swordbreaker) X
A swordbreaker, suggested in the Discord, is a weapon that literally breaks swords. This is to keep up the motif of Dave’s sword breaking, and also to make Dion stand out from his bro.
The idea of Dave giving his son something that breaks swords, the things Dave’s abuser used to harm him, is telling of how he’s determined to not be like Bro was.
Jace: Rifflekind (Carbine) X
Jade continues the Harlenlish tradition of just straight up giving your kid a gun and letting them go ham. I’ll give you a random guess on how she died.
He likes to decorate his weapon. He likes the gun as a keepsake from his grandma, even though it literally killed her.
Josh:  Magnifyingglasskind (Magnifying Glass) X
He can use it as both a big mallet and to melt things with the sun, kinda like kids do with ants.
Back to the ant thing, the magnifying glass acts as a rowdy kids toy the same way a sligshot does, only, for Josh it also emphasizes his love of mysteries.
Rosa: Bombkind (Grenades) X
Typically she’d only use them as a precautionary measure, lest things get too dire, she has a limited amount. Of course, after she enters the game she starts using them a lot more, since she can alchemize.
She doesn’t use bladekind, unlike most knights! But she’s able to use Dane’s weapon.
Dane: x2Bladekind (Kodachi) X
Kind of continuing the Strider/blade trend, but he weilds too, so you know he means business. Since he has two he’s able to use both at once or just one at a time, which is where Rosa being able to use his weapon comes in.
The fact that Rosa can use his weapon is a bit of a reflection of their sibling relationship, since they were raised together they’re kind of like two halves of one bigger picture, like the swords.
Jada: x2Pistolkind (Twin revolvers) X
Like Dane, Jada also uses two twin weapons, making them match in that regard.
Jada likes to decorate her guns with stickers and stuff like that just like Jace, even though they’re weapons used for killing. Kinda shows how she’s naive.
Kionna: Fankind (Japanese iron fans) X
Megido’s have been associated with Japan a lot throughout Homestuck, which is why Kionna was given a Japanese weapon.
Her fighting style with it would probably be simmular to the Kioshi Warriors from Avatar, who happen to also start with “Kio” coincidentally.
Auroch: Boomerangkind (Boomerang) X
"Boomerang” sounds like “Bangarang”, Rufio’s/Rufioh’s catchphrase.
It’s a weapon and a toy at the same time! He actually didn’t use it as a weapon much until the game.
Teomim: Bladekind (Kunai) X
He and Sollux have similar “I watched Naruto once and now I think I’m a ninja” weapons. But for real, they are simmular in that they’re throwing weapons.
Like Sollux, he tends to rely on his powers more anyway.
Kardin: Scythekind (Double sided scythe) X
The reason it was made double sided was because it would look more like his sign that way.
Scythes are normally used for the same thing sickles normally, gardening. A scythe is just a big sickle. The difference is it’s way sicker than Karkat’s weapon.
Lodari: Clawkind (Bagh naka) X
Chosing bagh naka (Also called tiger claws) instead of the normal claws Nepeta has is a way of making Lodari stand out but still retain the theme.
She can use the claws for climbing. Bagh naka are made to tear through flesh, so she can also use them to hook onto an animals (Or persons) skin and tear it apart.
Zaniah: Axekind (Axe) X
Zaniah is a lumberjack like Kanaya, so she needed a weapon that would reflect that, like Kanaya’s chainsaw. Of course, pre-game it was only ever used for actual lumberjacking.
Zaniah’s axe is of course very fancy in design, to better reflect her. It doesn’t turn into lipstick like the chainsaw though, that was sacrificed for aesthetic.
Kaegor: Ropekind (Rope dart) X
A rope dart was chosen as both a reference to Terezi’s scalemate hangings, and a more morbid reference to Redglare’s death.
It also reflects how much Kaegor wants to be like Terezi, and become a legislacerator too.
Lesath: Bladekind (Rapier) X
Similar to the sword Vriska and Mindfang use, but subtler and more precise, which reflects Lesath pretty well.
She still also uses die like Vriska, but doesn’t chose it as her main weapon.
Elatus: Bowkind (Small crossbow) X
Elatus goes a step beyond the other Zahhaks mechanically for their archery.
He also loses a foot in strength, he’s still strong as fuck, but he beats himself up over not being strong enough regardless. The fact that he uses a small crossbow, a weapon that only requires the pull of a trigger, reflects this.
Almath: Hammerkind (Mallet) X
Amalth’s mallet is the funny clown kind, the kind that makes a squick sound when you hit something with it.
It eventually gets a Zillyhoo version, even clownier.
Aquari: Harpoonkind (Harpoon gun) X
Harpoon guns are associated with whaling, which is pretty much what Aquari does as a beginner orphaner.
It’s simmular in design to Eridan’s gun.
Kanloa: 2x3dentkind (Trident) X
The same weapon all the heiresses use of course!
In a way it serves as a reminder of her fear of becoming a puppet the same as Feferi, since she had the same weapon.
Clyttius: Pistolkind (Derringers) X
Small and precise, it shows how he doesn’t really need much to get things rolling.
His terns into the wand.
Clymmene: Pistolkind (Machine pistol) X
Hers terns into the cane.
It’s a pistol just like her brother’s. Calliope and Caliborn used pistolkind and rifflekind respectively, but Clymmene uses the same as her brother.
