you and gabi had started dating at the beginning of the 2024 f2 season

you liked isack too but you never told gabi that, afraid to ruin your relationship

isack had no clue you two were dating - you just seemed like really close teammates

brotherly, even!

his crush on you was gigantic and pepe loved to tease him about it, but he suppressed his feelings for gabi, too focused on the title fight to let his feelings control him

he blamed his anxiety over his feelings for gabi on his unsureness about being gay but you were also a guy so...

(pepe has called him out for this)

(isack's response was telling him to sort his feelings for christian out first)

after winning the championship, isack decided to shoot his shot

he had no idea where he was going after this season, red bull still undecided on what to do with perez, but at least he could have you, right?

and besides, you were unsure what you were doing in 2025 as well, so maybe you could struggle together

he shyly told you his feelings and you were shocked

you really didn't know what to do

either you could tell isack you felt the same but were with gabi and leave isack confused

or you could do what you ultimately ended up doing which was spit out that you're dating gabi before running off, leaving isack heart broken

you avoided everyone after that - gabi, isack, pepe, hell even paul tried talking to you but you ignored it

you were so fucked

isack went to gabi and told him the truth, realising in the process that he liked gabi too

he ended up saying that out loud, stunning gabi into silence

isack knew he fucked up and so tried to run, but gabi stopped him

he would've kissed isack if isack hadn't stopped him with a small "what about y/n?"

they sat down together, discussing their feelings for you and each other but it kept going back to one thing

how did you feel about isack?

sure, you liked gabi, obviously, you were dating him, but you had never shown an interest in isack before

or so they thought

you see, isack and gabi were blinded by your affectionate nature

they didn't realise you only treated them that way

after much puzzling, and some advice from pepe, isack and gabi realised that they just needed to speak to you

they managed to corner you in your own hotel room, both of them demanding to talk because they refused to let you ignore them any longer

you spilled your feelings to them, slowly growing more confident as isack and gabi shared their own feelings in turn

the three of you were in the middle of discussing your relationship going forward when you got a call

you answered it because it was your manager and the words that echoed down the line made your skin tingle with excitement

"y/n? it's me. sauber... they wanna offer you a contract for their blackout team."

you agreed instantly and the second you hung up the phone, you threw yourself at gabi

you were both sauber drivers now, after all

the truth spilled from your lips rapidly and whilst isack was happy for you, he was still concerned about his future

you and gabi comforted him, promising he'd get the racing bulls seat once red bull fixed their shit

and sure enough, when the announcement of his f1 seat came, you really could only say one thing

told ya so

gabriel bortoleto x male!reader x isack hadjar

synopsis: you have been close with gabi and isack for as long as you can remember, karting with them and traveling with them. you knew how in love they were with each other, but you missed the fact that you were just as in love with them and they were just as in love with you, if not more

author's note: for context on why we call them neongum, bear and i discussed it about how their racesuits, specifically isack's, looks like a pack of gum and (obviously) gabi's is neon green so yeah! neongum!!! also i kinda made is established!neongum without meaning to 😅

you were used to always tagging along with gabi and isack

you had for years and just because they wouldn't stop bickering or acting like an old married couple wouldn't stop that

well, maybe just a little because you started to feel left out and like a third wheel

they didn't notice you putting distance between you and them until a month or so later because they were too wrapped up in each other

then they feel really bad and try to make it up to you

you tell them it's okay and that you didn't mind

you convinced yourself for a while that they either: a) didn't want to be friends anymore with you, or b) that they were together and the feelings you thought might have possibly been there weren't

overthinking™️

anyways

for weeks they try to make it up to you, both of them discussing how to make it up to you because they love you

they don't want to lose you ever

thats when gabi, ever the genius, comes up with the idea for a road trip

isack is down immediately because who wouldn't want to be in a car for hours with two hot men?!

he'd be crazy not to agree

especially since he's in love with both you (but him and gabi have a hard time showing you)

it takes some convincing and bribery to get you to agree

you were convinced they invited you out of pity

so you were hesitant to go because you thought you were imposing on their date

you ended up in the driver's seat, with isack and gabi in the back most of the time

they were chatting away and holding hands

you felt sick to your stomach, partly from jealousy and partly from guilt

once again, the two failed to realize what they were doing

half the time, they were talking and half the time sleeping

so for a good portion of the first few days you felt really isolated

which had you ovwrthinking™️ again

especially when you guys stayed at the hotels

they cuddled and you were on the opposite side of the room, closest to the air conditioning unit, crying to yourself

isack woke up one night to use the restroom and found you crying, on the phone with dino because he was like your brother

the next morning, isack and gabi talked about how to make it up to you and how to get better about showing how much they love you and wanted you in their relationship

you were out for a morning run and when you got back to the hotel, the boys had packed up theirs and your stuff and were packing up the car

this time, gabi was driving

and he kissed your forehead and apologized to you before opening the door for you

you climb in and were greeted with isack

he was getting pillows and blankets ready when he hugged you tightly and also apologized

they talked to you about how isack heard you last night, how bad they felt, and how stupid they were because they thought they were showing you that they were also, in fact, head over heels in love with you

you were stunned and broke down crying which panicked gabi and isack

you explained that you thought they just invited you out of pity

turns out the three of you are pretty dumb when it comes to sharing feelings

but, as it also turns out, you guys are seriously made for each other

so now, at rest stops and gas/petrol stations, you guys take turns driving and getting snacks

isack, however, insists on always being in control of the music

there is still bickering, but you realize that when they do it with you, it's loving

gabi knows how to flirt somewhat, still a bit iffy but isn't as bad at it as isack

isack who literally cannot flirt to save his life

kind of funny to you and gabi (which you tease isack about all the time) since he was literally born in paris

to that, isack just sticks his tongue out at you two

but it's not like you are any better at flirting

you are oblivious to it and for the most part, up until this point at least, thought people were either being nice or felt bad for you

the rest of the road trip, you three squeeze onto the hotel beds, isack in the middle, gabi almost starfished on one side and you trying to keep and arm over the two of them all night

it's a very difficult task since gabi, i feel, moves around a lot in his sleep

and isack is like a rock and won't budge

hes also a heavy sleeper and seriously will only wake up to use the restroom

meaning he is either climbing over you or gabi, but gabi is also a heavy sleeper so he doesn't seem to notice

you always wake up when one of them moves out of bed or in bed because you are a light sleeper

the first night you slept with them and isack went to use the restroom, you had a panic attack because you were scared

gabi made sure you were okay and put on some background noise and told you you would get used to isack leaving to use the bathroom

isack was confused when he saw you were now in the middle but didn't question it and just climb back into bed and fell right back to sleep

the road trip is ten times more fun now that there isn't any tension (well, except for a bit of sexual tension)

you guys were on the road for like two weeks, just visiting different places and having dates practically everyday to make up for lost time

no one is surprised by night three of you guys being together you hard launch

dino literally texts you and says "told you you dumb fuck"

you just laugh and show your boyfriends who laugh but are also sheepish about it at the same time

for the longest time before the road trip, paul and dino (our favorite boyfriends!!) were conspiring to get the three of you together

paul did most the work on isack and gabi since he seemed to spend a lot of time with them on podiums and such

while dino of course worked on your end

those attempts ultimately failed and they almost gave up

dino was the one to give you the final push to go on the road trip

gabi and isack put together a gift basket for dino and paul after that to thank them for their endless attempts at putting you guys together

the road trip ended with them offering to help you move in with them and you immediately accept

they help you pack your apartment and move in with them

once you are unpacked and settled, you guys finally do it

best sex of your life if you must admit

gabi was charming and sweet when you first met, which eased your nerves but also distracted you from seeing the red string that connected you two

you didn't notice it until the australian grand prix when he was in the media pen

you saw it then and could barely hold back your shocked look

how did you miss it the first time?!

but also... where was the second string leading to?

you knew about the second string for ages but in the chaos of starting a new job, you'd completely forgotten about it

after the media pen, gabi went over to chat with isack and that's when you notice it

the second string leads to isack

you excuse yourself and rush off, a headache forming as you think yourself crazy

this was insanely inappropriate, right?

you couldn't date two formula 1 drivers!

but... you were fated to be together, so surely the fia couldn't be mad about that

you decided to ignore it, shoving it down

except you realised that you didn't know what sights gabi & isack had

what if they knew you were their soulmate and didn't want to be with you?

in the safety of your hotel room that night, you did some googling, quickly finding out that both of them were non sighted

it filled you with joy for all of five minutes before you realised that, if you wanted to make the connection, you'd have to take the lead

and that's horrifying, so you swallowed it down for ages

you carry on with your job, ignoring the strings that hover around you whenever you're near isack or gabi

it's worse with gabi because you're literally required to work with him and he's a terrible flirt, to make it even more terrible

you're minding your own business at the track one day, taking a sip of your drink, when the seat opposite you gets taken by nico

he smirks at you and you're confused as to why for a moment before you realise he's red sighted

he asks when you're gonna tell them the truth, but you shake your head - you're not saying anything

nico stands up at that and shrugs, stalking off

you race after him, demanding to know what he's doing, to which he tells you he's telling gabi & isack

begging him not to, you promise to do it yourself

and nico, ever the matchmaker, drags you along with him anyways

"i'm a chaperone"

when you find isack & gabi, you struggle - how are you supposed to tell them the truth?!

eventually you just confer to nico, hiding behind his back as he tells isack & gabi that, actually? you three are soulmates

isack is speechless but gabi launches himself at you, kissing you without thinking

he gasps when he spots the strings and feels the (admittedly very weak) tugging towards isack

you shyly step closer to isack, asking if he's okay

he tries to run but gabi stops him before he can, begging him to speak to them instead of running away

isack shyly murmurs that he's not ready to gain red sight and you & gabi share a heartbroken look before stepping back and giving him space

when isack offers you his hand, you're confused, until he says that you can link fingers to gain your full red sight if you want because he refuses to deny you that

you pout at him softly before linking your fingers together happily, smiling when you feel the tugging on gabi's string

you turn to gabi and do the same thing before turning back to isack and promising that he can take as long as he likes

after a couple months of what is basically you and gabi courting him, isack finally lets you both kiss him, giving both him & gabriel their full red sight

(kiss isack in public, it makes him shy)

gabi and isack had been your best friends for years

the three of you started dating when you were pretty young and didn't quite understand the world yet

but even as you got older, you still didn't care what people thought

you were happy with each other and that was all that mattered

as you got older, you found yourself faced with the desire to learn how to drive

isack & gabi already knew how to thanks to a shared interest in cars from a young age

you started off with your parents, slowly learning how to drive in empty parking lots and around your neighbourhood

eventually, gabi got you into his car and you were soon driving around larger areas

isack's car was different to gabi's but you took the opportunity to learn from him anyways

any experience was better than none, right?

once you turned seventeen, your parents paid for your driving lessons

you already knew some things and so you didn't need too many lessons before you were free to take the test and gain your license

you spent the three weeks before your driving test practicing with gabi and isack

they were so encouraging, praising you whenever you successfully did something you were worried about

isack was better at helping you drive and gabi was better at helping you park

theory was easier for you to learn but you still ended up recruiting isack and gabi to help

even if isack tried to apply f1 rules to your theory

(gabi smacked him round the head for that one)

the day of your theory test was nerve wracking but gabi & isack waited outside for you with your parents, all four of them positive that you'd succeed

and then, you finally had your physical test

you nailed it!

you finished with only one minor issue

you were never gonna understand those physical metal stop signs, tbh, but oh well

you could legally drive now!

isack and gabi were so proud and they took you out to celebrate before revealing the gift they got you with your parents

your very own car

isack & gabi got kissed so much that night

after that, you all take turns picking each other up and driving each other to school or dates
