Sunbird asities (Neodrepanis coruscans), natives of Madagascar, have distinctly curved bills and very short tails.

Common sunbird-asity (Neodrepanis coruscans)

The common sunbird-asity is endemic to Madagascar. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. Common sunbird-asities eat nectar from many plant sources, insects and related creatures. Common sunbird asities glean (pluck off) insect prey from flowers, leaves, and bark.
