Sketch 1 — "When the Gates Are Locked"

The sun disappears beyond the horizon like an old actor leaving the stage. The last glimmer of the day slides down the treetops, and the shadow spreads across the cemetery like an ink blot on a letter forgotten in a drawer centuries ago.

Maglor slowly closes the gates. The creak — not really a creak, more like a sigh — echoes from the old wrought iron. He turns the key, and it clicks, sounding like the final note of a song no one ever finished.

He stands for a minute in silence. Familiar. Almost cozy. His back is straight, his hair long — like those who refuse to surrender to time. He surveys the cemetery like a librarian watches over an ancient archive: not reading, but feeling.

Then — a faint, trembling light, like a miniature aurora. Above one of the graves, a silhouette rises. Then another. And another. One by one, the figures begin to emerge from the ground — not like zombies, but like actors stepping out from behind the curtains. Each of them had known how to play a role in life, and now they are simply themselves.

— "Good evening, Maestro," says an old countess in a voluminous skirt, her parasol tip serving as a cane. She nods, almost like a salute.

— "The evening won't be good if you bring your astral champagne again into the Lutheran rest zone," — Maglor replies dryly. Without malice. More like a polite reproach.

— "There’s going to be a chess tournament soon!" — shouts a teenager in a hoodie that says "Rage Quit 2019." His hair glows with neon, his face pale green from the afterlife Wi-Fi.

— "Where did you hide my queen, you pup?" — growls a professor, materializing near a neo-baroque tombstone, his top hat slightly askew.

Maglor passes them, nodding wearily like an old teacher making his rounds through the classroom. His steps are silent but sure. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees a ghost-dog — a golden retriever with translucent paws — joyfully running through the lilac bushes, not barking but vibrating softly.

He heads toward the crypt where the elders discuss the news — newspapers they summon from memory. Some read on smartphones that are never connected, yet always work. One dead man scrolls through TikTok, grunting:

— "So this is called content now? I didn’t die in vain."

— "Where’s your lute, Watcher?" — someone asks.

— "Silent," — Maglor answers simply.

— "Good. People are tired of tragedies," — someone croaks, pretending to be a priest of comedy.

The Silmarils are gone. His brothers are gone. The wars — long past.

But here, among those who remember, forget, and remember again, Maglor finds something that, perhaps, is not peace — but a kind of rest.

He walks on.

The night is just beginning.

And the dead have not finished their discussions yet.

Dando nota para capas de álbuns e EP's do NCT 127

NCT #127

Não sei como me sinto à respeito, mas sei que não gosto da falta de elementos tipográficos. Um primeiro EP tem tudo pra mostrar o que é um grupo e a falta de um título me causa uma impressão de vazio, de algo que poderia ser mais. Se não me engano, essa estampa é feita a partir da imagem da Coréia do Sul no mapa, o que é uma ideia legal. Nota 3/5.

Limitless

Este querido têm três versões e a única diferença entre eles é o adesivo na frente. Ele é bem... Diferente, não sei decidir se de um jeito bom ou não. Não tem um sabor, sabe? São várias colagens dos membros, mas eu sinto a falta de um conceito melhor explorado. É feia, mas não é intragável, dá pra passar aquele paninho. Nota 2.5/5.

Cherry Bomb

Tem uma versão só que tem um gostinho que as anteriores não tem. Essa ilustra lindíssima fala por ela, o NCT 127 na cerejinha... É diferente, é única, é Cherry Bomb. Nota 4.5/5.

Regular Irregular

Têm 2 versões que só muda a cor do céu de Neo City, e tem muita colecionadora que critica esse álbum por ser conceitual demais, mas é ele!!! Esse álbum tem sabor, tem a tipografia que faltava nos três anteriores, é grande, sabe, ai o numerozinho 127 em cima do NCT bem grande e tudo em caixa baixa (acho muito conceito). Os dois tons de verde, o neon (que já se espera do NCT) e o verde água que é algo que eu nunca esperaria. Nota 5/5.

Regulate

Gosto, mas não é meu favorito. Não é feio, mas não é conceitual. É uma foto grupal, e é isto. Nota 3/5.

We Are Superhuman

Ai, o pobrezinho tenta, sabe? ele tenta ser irmão do Regular Irregular, mas só existe um. É feio. É feio, coitado. Nota 2/5.

Neo Zone

Eis o álbum dos álbuns, isso aqui é um luxo. Ele tem 3 versões e todas são belíssimas. Mas especialmente a C: aquela foto com todos eles vestidos iguais, de costas, é tão conceitual, tão Neo... Gosto muito que eles usaram o vermelho e o amarelo (e sei que tem a ver com o conceito dos sonhos), sai do verde neon e futurismo, e essas bordas ficaram tão bonitas, o símbolo do Neo Zone!!! Aliás, ele tem uma pegada retrô. A versão N é uma foto grupal, mas eles tão todos com uma pegada anos 80, ali. E a versão T é a foto da pagoda de um telhado, conceitualíssima, amo. Nota 5/5.

Neo Zone Punch: The Final Round

Outro que tenta e bate na trave. Ouçam, amo a tipografia que é pra imitar o título de um videogame, mas é só. As fotos grupais são aquilo... Fotos grupais. Apesar da versão 2nd player ser mais bonitinha, não chega lá. Nota 2.5/5.

Sticker

Mas eu vou passar um pano pra ele! Tanto a versão Sticky quanto a Sticker são tão bobinhas, mas eu gosto tanto! Tem aquela coisinha banda de House Music dos anos 80, sabe? A Seoul City a gente finge que não existe, porque, por favor, essa fonte helvetica simplesmente acaba com qualquer chance desse álbum ser algo visualmente falando. Nota 4/5.

Adendo - esse jewel case é sensacional os Beatles não fariam porque eles eram só 4:

Favorite

Versão Classic é a pior capa de álbum do NCT, de longe. Essa fonte aí tem no Canva, gente! E o conceito que tem nada a ver com vampiros, que foi o que nos venderam do início ao fim. Eles parecem uns bonequinhos Ken no suporte. A versão Catharsis ainda tem uma tentativa de arte ali, que deixa mais interessante e mais bonita. Nota 2/5.

2 Baddies

Tem 3 versões e a primeira versão e a Target entregam tudo com esse conceito automobilístico e mecânico porque as músicas do álbum em si meio que contam essa historinha. Esse azulão do carro e o preto e branco do fundo, que coisa mais linda, eles olhando pra cima.... E o carro do primeiro que era de fato um carro de verdade desmontado e não CG!!! Sinto que a versão 2 Baddies tá meio perdidinha ali, apesar de ser bonitinha e tropicália. Nota 3.5/5.

Graphology (Lesson 1)

Graphology is the art and practice of deducing personality and motivation from handwriting. Few make a living at it, but all the better, in a way, because it can be used to examine anyone's handwriting (e.g. to detect deceptiveness) without anyone knowing.

If you are interested, we will begin with the basics, which are neo-Freudian.

Round writing, like the following, is oral stage, which means what it says (e.g. a focus on eating, one way or another), and also means a tendency to depend on others:

The next stage of development (and make no mistake, most people, including yours truly, have fixations at some stage of development) has to do with control/autonomy, and is characterized, in its most easily recognized form, by angular shapes and repetition, as in the following:

The next stage of development is essentially that of sexuality, but it varies depending on the masculinity or femininity of the writer. It is characterized, in males, by long, straight lines, symbolizing male fertility, and by long lower zones. I use a celebrity autograph, that of Australian actor Jacob Elordi, as an example of a man highly libidinous in focus:

Feminine writing fixated at this stage also has long lower zones, but instead of long, straight lines, it mimics the female figure. I use as an example an autograph of high libido singer and actress Miley Cyrus:

Of course, men can have feminine writing, and women can have masculine writing, but we will get to such exceptions later.

The next two stages of development are more the absence of earlier fixations than something easily illustrated. The latency stage, as expressed in writing, is "all business"- not compulsively repetitive, as the second stage, but rather shortcuts and the absense of adornment.

The final stage of development, indicating no fixations, and complete psychological maturity (something very few human beings reach- I certainly have not), would have a balance of the above traits, but also include personal innovations in handwriting style that the author originated, called primary elaboration.

That is enough for now, but if you like graphology, there is a lot more information on the subject in upcoming free lessons- and no, I do not want to sell you anything, but simply to spread awareness of graphology's usefulness.

16. day dream: i. hate. how. the. chorus. is. spaced. out. make it stop jfc. the rest of the song is okay tho.

15. make your day: not the type of slow song that i like. sleeping actually.

14. white night: i immediately forgot what i heard right after it ended.

13. nonstop: pretty stereotypical 127, not bad at all.

12. boom: vocals are pretty but it kinda put me to sleep... title is very misleading

11. pandora's box: very much a sway your arms back and forth in the air type of song

10. interlude: neo zone: this shit fucks so hard like hell yeah. need to be zooming through a tunnel in a lambo immediately.

9. dreams come true: the chorus is so damn pretty, such a nice vibe. FINALLY IMMA PEE

8. mad dog: jumping on my trauma already wear pajamas 🤷

7. love song: close enough, welcome back bruno mars. johnny popped off at the bridge and i appreciate it.

6. kick it: baby we go wild, 127 squad. iconic ofc, can't believe it's five years old but simultaneously can't believe it's not older, it's just such a classic.

5. punch: was in fact my favorite title before walk came out and i was absolutely transfixed by yuta. such a strange structure but it still slays.

4. sit down!: actually the cuntiest thing ever. please for the love of god never ask me to articulate how i feel about this song unless it's in the context of me screaming the lyrics. i think about the bridge at least 15 times every business week.

3. elevator (127F): so so groovy, was on my playlist when i wasn't in my nctzen phase anymore.

2. love me now: another one that was on my playlist. it's just so sweet and doyoung is obviously doyounging.

1. not alone: it has such a unique sound to it (was also on my playlist) and it's pretty dang uplifting too when you think about it.
