We've all been hypocrites. Us and the characters, and it's so interesting to see how it plays out in both the show and fandom each week. All of the mains have at one point or another done something that another character has done, but the responses are different, or are framed in a different way. Some examples,

Everyone has shown a lack of boundaries. All of them.

Both Top and Sand were the other person in a relationship.

Ray was mad at Top for what he did to Mew, but did the same thing.

Boston, Nick, Sand, Mew, and Ray have violated privacy (the tape).

Mew and Sand both used Ray to hurt Top.

Sand tells Nick to forget about Boston while still entertaining Ray's shenanigans.

Boston tells Nick not to bring drama, whilst bringing drama.

Cheaum lectures on friendship while showing that she may not be the best at it either.

All of them have gotten completely different responses, and it fascinates me because it also happens in the show which I believe to be purposeful. A character can be totally vilified, while another is held on a pedestal, ignoring nuances in both if it doesn't fit the watcher or character's perception. Sometimes with hard lines drawn, which I don't think is the best way to watch this show, but you enjoy your content how you wish. These lines aren't only because of the show, but it could be the actor or pairs influence for some, or personal life experiences and morals for others that are driving so many differing opinions. I came across a quote from Eve's Bayou that I think best sums it up.

"The truth changes color depending on the light"

The way Boston is being seen as the villain in his "friends" eyes all cause of the fact of how he chooses to live his life. They automatically assume that he will even go to the lengths of forcing someone into having sex with him!!?? Like atom is a grown man who literally made that decision himself. He knew what it was gonna happen,and still engaged in it. She says "it doesn't matter who start it" but it actually does because your brother as you saw at the party was all up in Boston's vicinity. And yes Boston knew that he shoudnt do it and knew cheum would flip. But her brother wasnt letting it go he and at the end of the day the whole thing was consensual and her brother did agree to it.

I haven't caught up with Only Friends yet, but from what I've been seeing from the recent episode, I have some WORDS for Sandre Smith. You were really in Nick's ear at this party asking why he was here talking to his ex fling and how y'all supposed to be moving on together, but why I just see you let Raymond snatch you up by the collar and lay CLAIM on you in the trailer for the next episode 🤔 now y'all on a trip together roasting weenies over an open fire 🤨 Nicholas is out here getting some never before seen or sampled dick so what's your excuse now?!
