It’s time to send best starter out on his training! The Saniwa will wait patiently!
Tumblr media
For my free badge sword I had to go with Nene. He was kinda the reason why I started playing on the English account… I needed to have him back ASAP.
Tumblr media
I wasn’t expecting him as a drop from the current event..: what a pleasant surprise!
Things have been going well on the new account! ❤️

I'm thinking that on the End of Service day for EN Citadels, my Hinamori Citadel will just be moving house. ;v; Nenekirimaru walks into Airi's office and asks in his booming voice "PERMISSION TO MOVE THE CITADEL INTO THE MOUNTAINS, MASTER?"
Airi looks at the overflowing sleeping quarters and nods very enthusiastically...

Respectfully, this needs to be asked: who now in the honmaru (saniwa included) has the biggest chest measurement now that dadd--imean Douyo is home? 👀
Tumblr media
"Nenekirimaru still leads the board on this, but I'd say Tonbokiri is keeping his second spot this time too. Douyo did make it to third place though." - Takeshi (Saniwa) (currently in the fifth spot)

A fate x nuramago blurb i word vomited abt a month ago and I never bothered to finish. more under the cut
Mysterious things have been occurring in Ukiyoe-town recently. Random accidents, explosions, and general destruction had suddenly popped up left and right, all without an apparent cause. For no rhyme and reason, Ukiyo-e had become a hotbed for mysterious and unexplainable incidents that left many innocents injured or dead. There's a tenseness in the air that's so palpable one would even struggle to cut through it with fear, and the Nura clan is left scrambling to investigate-- because Ukiyo-e is the Nura clan's main territory, and they have the responsibility to protect it and its civilians from harm... but how are they going to protect the town if they don't even know what's causing such death and destruction anyway?
Rikuo eyes Kuromaru casually and inconspicuously standing by the convenience store. He should be annoyed. He usually doesn't like having so many escorts, and he already knows from gut instinct alone that Kurotabo is somewhere to his right, hidden in plain sight as well, but the circumstances this time are dire. People have been dropping left and right, several buildings have gone down, and inexplicable accidents happen on the daily that it's become the norm now. They had no choice but to up their security tenfold as they investigate. He just has to convince himself that all of these security isn't just for him. They still ARE a yakuza clan after all. They have a duty to this town and its civilians, human or youkai alike.
"Kiyotsugu-kun, I don't think investigating the abandoned school again is a good idea..." Rikuo attempts, knowing full well it's a wasted effort with his friend here. "It's getting dangerous at night recently, I don't think we should be out after sundown."
"Nonsense! Don't you want to find out what's been causing all of this anyway, Nura-kun?" Kiyotsugu shoots back.
"I do, but I don't think we should be involving ourselves like this!" He's 90% sure this isn't anything yokai related anyway. He knows full well what's going on in their territory, but aside from these new humans moving in, no youkai has been doing anything suspicious enough to raise concern, let alone the alarm bells by attacking. Nobody wants to receive the Third Commander's ire after all.
They investigate the abandoned school anyway. Rikuo was outvoted, surprisingly enough. He thought Maki and the others would have had more sense in them to stop Kiyotsugu, but unfortunately he apparently, along with Kana, were the only ones concerned about their safety.
It just so happens that, on the way there, he notices a suspicious person entering the building before them. Making up an excuse to leave (leaving Tsurara with the group), he decides to tail the person.
It lead to a random classroom on the third floor. The stench of blood was so overwhelming that Rikuo could smell it immediately from halfway across the stairs. He can feel his heartbeat getting louder, gripping nenekirimaru hidden within his jacket so tight his hand turned white as he walks carefully towards the imposing classroom. Blood was leaking through the doorway, and Rikuo could only hold his breath, body wound tight as he prepares to attack on sight should the situation arises.
The sun starts setting. He enters the room, slamming the sliding door open.
Blood was splattered everywhere— in the floor, on the desks, the windows, even the blackboards. In the middle of the classroom stands a startled man, clearly not expecting a 12 year old to burst in. He immediately stops chanting, dropping an item to the floor in surprise. The mysterious person immediately moves to attack, grabbing a chair and flinging it to the enraged Rikuo who was able to dodge fluidly.
'This person... a human? He can't be a youkai, I can't feel any fear from this guy... and he's surprisingly weak.' the teen analyzes as he disarmed the older male, knocking him out cold with a swift smack on the back of the head with his saya. 'What the hell is he doing here?' Rikuo looks around the classroom, observing the gruesome mess in the dying sunlight filtering through the bloodstained window. He walks around. The energy in the room still hasn't dissipated, remaining charged as Rikuo walks through the mess of desks and chairs. There was a squelch, and Rikuo grimaces as he looks down on the floor. He's accidentally stepped in a pool of blood.
"Oh fuck,"
That was NOT just a pool of blood. His breath hitches as he makes a dash backward, the energy in the room swelling as it charges. Sparks start flying across the room, on the floor along where he just unknowingly stepped onto a summoning circle drawn ominously with blood.
Rikuo was unable to escape the room fast enough. The energy in the room exploded, rocking the building entirely as Rikuo got flung into the far wall of the room next door. Glasses askew and struggling to pull himself together, he blearily looks up. Debris was everywhere, the windows were broken and the desks are all either flung everywhere or in pieces. The smoke still hadn't dissipated yet, obscuring the young third heir's vision even more, not to mention the blood dripping from his forehead into his eyes. Rikuo coughs, ribs aching in protest as he shifts into a sitting position, leaning heavily on the wall.
Footsteps scrape by the floor from behind the obfuscating mist of dust. Distantly, Rikuo could see a vague silhouette of someone picking up what's undoubtedly nenekirimaru on the floor where he dropped it in the explosion and slowly started stalking towards him. The pain of being caught in an explosion in his human form, the possible concussion, and definite blood loss masked the burning sensation on his right hand. His breathing picked up as the figure slowly approached.
Shit, he's about to pass out. It's okay though, after that explosion Tsurara and the others will definitely come soon. He just needed to hold on.
The distinct sound of geta clad footsteps slow to a halt as the dust slowly starts to settle. Nenekirimaru, still sheathed, peeks out from the clouds of dust, pointing directly at his neck as a terrifyingly familiar voice calls out from within the darkness.
"I ask of thee..." The voice starts, filling Rikuo instantly with dread, the blood draining from his face as his breathing picks up.
Through the slowly dissipating mist stands Rihan, his cold, yellow eye looking down on him coldly, unrecognizing. "Are you my master?"

Hitagi Honeymoon
025
And now for the epilogue, or rather, the punch line.
The day after returning from my trip to Oku-Nikko in Tochigi Prefecture, on which we had used up our extra day visiting the Oya History Museum, I was greeted by none other than Chief Kouga of Naoetsu Station's Hearsay Department, and her boss, the ever-youthful Gaen-san, with whom I had not met in so long that I couldn't recall the last time. They gave me an incredibly intense scolding, one that made me wonder if it was really possible for a person to be scolded so much, let alone a working adult like myself— I would have understood if I were still in high school or even a university student. In all honesty, I felt like crying.
Part of me wanted to retort, to ask what reward this was for having devoted myself to my job in the midst of my honeymoon. But, if their chastisement was meant not for me, but for Shinobu, who is under my care and protection, I had no choice but to willingly accept it.
After all, it is the parent who bears the responsibility for their child.
That night, the shooting star I had witnessed— Oshino Shinobu— had not used her own legendary sword, the "Aberration Killer" derived from Shishirui Seishirou’s “Kokorowatari,” to brilliantly slash through the overcast sky.
As the name suggests, that mythical blade was specialized in slaying aberrations and couldn’t cut through even the frail human skin. Therefore, it was utterly incapable of cutting through clouds, raindrops, or even water vapor— it was beyond dull.
Had the rain we encountered been the trick of a nine-tailed fox, the sword would have displayed its maximum effect, but it was nothing more than an extremely common, natural phenomenon.
So what was the great sword that my shooting star had wielded that night?
It turns out that this was related to the temporary closure of the Treasure Museum at Futarasan Chugu Shrine, located next to Lake Chuzenji. Just before Hitagi had charged up Irohazaka in her minivan, Shinobu had slipped out of my shadow in the midst of the crowds while I was lost in a daydream, or rather meditation, and warped to Chugu shrine. From there, she managed to swipe the sacred blade, Nenekirimaru, that was on display in the Treasure Museum.
Yes, warped.
No, it wasn't vampiric skill, it was the connection between both shrines acting as a navigation— in any case, Shinobu daringly took a shortcut up Irohazaka, and ended up bringing out a national treasure-class Japanese sword, without permission.
With that legendary sword, she dispelled the smoky rainclouds.
All for the purpose of gifting us a starry night sky.
"You know, Koyomin, taking out Nenekirimaru for your own use is a serious crime on its own. But changing the weather? That's a huge deal. Hasn’t Kouga told you that the air is connected all around the world? By clearing the skies above Senjougahara, do you realize how many areas suffered heavy downpours as a result? Everywhere but where you were— Tochigi Prefecture, the Killing Stone— turned into a rainstorm like a fox's wedding. It’s such a disaster that Tamamo-no-Mae's revival is nothing in comparison. Seriously, I wouldn't be surprised if there were landslides all over the place. It's just a coincidence that there wasn't any significant damage.”
I had hoped Gaen-san would praise me when we met again, but to the utmost disappointment— as far as I know, I'm the only one who's ever been scolded so much by this gentle, ageless and wise lady.
"Yes, neither my honor student Kouga, nor Yotsugi, Kaiki, or even Meme, have ever experienced a scolding like this."
"Heh.”
"What are you laughing at, Koyomin? We're not done lecturing you. You seem to be in high spirits. Did something good happen?”
Oh yeah.
Though I only managed to peek through some of what the big-picture-seeing Hawaiian-shirt guy was thinking, it felt like I'd sorta surpassed him─ Of course, after exhibiting its remarkable cutting ability, Nenekirimaru was returned to the treasure museum.
Neither chipped nor dulled, and with a sheen to rival even the stars themselves, it had grown even more radiant.
Well, if that hadn't been the case I would have gotten the chop. Professionally and biologically speaking.
It didn’t turn out that way, and I ended up not having to have visiting hours with the missus at the prison, and this is all thanks to Gaen-san who pulled out all the stops under the sun. I can’t be thankful enough, and I must likewise thank Kanbaru Suruga.
I don't plan on digging deep into how she pulled it off, or who she pulled her strings with, however, Kanbaru had apparently already figured out where Shinobu was before we reached Senjougahara.
She's on par with the CIA.
And sadly, she wasn't in time for the theft of the Nenekirimaru, but at that point in time, Shinobu’s plan was pretty drastic—I won't go into the details, but had it been executed, it wouldn’t have been just the sky that was cut apart; Tochigi Prefecture itself might have been cut clean in two, just like the Utsunomiya Gyoza Statue or the stone. However, before it could be carried out, the missing girl was discovered and, after a big showdown reminiscent of six years ago, the situation was realistically alleviated; this was all Kanbaru Suruga.
It wasn’t that she saw no evil, spoke no evil, and heard no evil.
She saw, spoke, and she made her hear.
I was grateful for that alone, but when Kanbaru, the medical student, got involved in Shinobu's cloudy sky surgery plan, even Gaen-san couldn't bring herself to execute us— Kanbaru's mother was her one and only Achilles heel.
We were protected by our junior’s prestige.
The epitome of a life lived through connections.
"Well, well, Gaen-senpai, that's enough. Despite everything, Assistant Inspector Araragi has done the bare minimum of what he was expected to do,” said Chief Kouga, offering me a follow-up in the end— though it came too late.
"The Killing Stone split as naturally as the weather. If you guys who tore through the cloudy sky say so, it can't be wrong. For now, at least."
“For now? You're leaving room for doubt, Chief Kouga."
"It's a weak doubt though. The Killing Stone might feel lonely if we assert that there's no nine-tailed fox, like Toshogu Shrine would be lonely without Hidari Jingorou. I want to try those Nasu dishes someday too."
With that last remark, Chief Kouga concluded her lecture, in her own peculiar way. Anyhow, that marked the climax of the honeymoon for the Araragi couple.
Ah, well...
No more the Araragi couple— that was in the past.
The beginning of our story was about Senjougahara Hitagi marrying Araragi Koyomi, and thus becoming Araragi Hitagi. In order to mourn the loss of her family name, we decided to go on a honeymoon in Tochigi Prefecture. It was filled with countless twists and turns, but looking back on the trip, there was no question that it was wonderful. However, before long, the very foundation of its meaning was turned upside down.
Despite getting married, Hitagi continued to work at the Japanese branch of her foreign finance firm. Shortly after our honeymoon, she found herself modestly involved in a historic event— or rather, it would be modest to say that she was involved, because in truth she was at the heart of the storm.
It would seem that, while her cell phone had been turned off during our time in Senjougahara, an unimaginable, man-made global economic crisis had struck somewhere on Earth, and her company bore the brunt of it. Being in the thick of it all, there was no way I could stay out of the matter either, and I ended up getting involved as both a husband and an FBI trainee— in the end, we handled it.
It was a hard-won battle with some underhanded tricks thrown in, but we persevered.
As the price for regaining tranquility, however, our little family— Hitagi, me, and our daughter— had to make a major change in our lives for at least a short while. Both the boathouse and the trailer house needed to be given up.
In a word, we were now part of the Witness Protection Program.
We had to change our names entirely and wait patiently for the storm to pass. Hence, we are no longer Araragi Koyomi or Senjougahara Hitagi; not even Araragi Hitagi. Neither Oshino Shinobu nor Araragi Shinobu.
Separate surnames, separate identities.
It must be rare for a family to deal with the delicate issue of shared surnames in such a dynamic fashion, but it was so like us. We had no idea how long we'd have to live like this until the dust settles, but I’m genuinely happy to have shared this unique experience with my dear wife and beloved daughter. Perhaps this is what one should call true family unity. Once again, we find happiness in sharing mercilessly poured misfortunes, and I believe we are the happiest in the world.
It is not the happy end.
Our happiness has only just begun.
Hmm? So, what's the new name for our family, you ask? Come now, it's not raining, so don't go pouring such stand-offish questions. Weve been together so long, after all, you’re like family to me.
We will disappear for a while.
Once you miss us, you can call out to us however you like.

I loved this event, touken ranbu went crazy. Like, it was so fun and easy and exciting. I did a mad grid of 85.000 in a day and I wasn't tired of it. (Maybe a little, but like still enjoyed this a lot)
It let me practise with a lot of swords as it incentivated doing all 3 maps in tandem to keep open your slots for the free pass refills.
Google translate helped a lot but also the wiki helpers did amazing translating all missions
( this saniwa let a relived sigh when she realised there was no a 'gou school' mission, as in her hubris she still had 0 of them at the start of this event.)
Yes, had, cause one of the panels was kotegiri!
The other sword I didn't have that appeared was shizukanata, and I screamed when he appeared! he was one of the options I was thinking of getting reedemed.
I also got other rare copies of swords I had, the rarest ones were daihannya ( still not smithable, but the most common here), a hyuuga, even an oochidori and himetsuru!!
And a chougi too, but it was the only goverment sword I saw, only once.
I reedeemed Nenekirimaru ( not escaping anymore), nansen ( i had him on EN and was surprised i didn't here, would forget), taikou ( last tantou I missed ) and chiganemaru ( summer event is night and day easier with him, and I am NOT gonna gamble resources in the forge if I can avoid it hahaha)
(The saniwa in her hubris didn't pick any gous still, confident in that next time she won't ignore the flower gathering event and have gous for when 'gou school' requirement missions appear and therefore her lack of them will not be a run stopper )
Also leveled up swords and had fun, would do again 10/10 event

My own spin of chapter 236 (a.k.a) fanfic
So, I whip something up because of 236, there is an oc character from my own fanfic in ao3
It’s Satoru’s win. That is how it should be. But the dreadful feeling inside my mind is screaming danger is not over yet. My eyes suddenly activate themselves again, without any warning. Black lines appearing everywhere and I see something alarming is closing fast to Satoru. Wasting no time, I pour all the cursed energy I have absorbed throughout the fight or the leftover of it. and slash the thing, the something that looks like a slash but invisible to everyone, except me.
“Urgh…” My eyes bleed just from that one slash.
“Fuu!”
Nenekirimaru broke in half, but I am not stopping there. My eyes are blurry, I might truly went blind after this. But who cares, Sukuna has to die even if I go blind.
“Domain Expansion.” Sukuna used his malevolent shrine.
“Falling Blossom Emotion.” Satoru caught on and counter with his own technique, while I am racing through the hundreds of cleave using my eyes, slashing what’s gotten too close, not caring how badly my eyes are hurting.
Sukuna is making a handseal preparing for summoning shikigami. The moment it appears, it crashes with hollow purple.
‘Timely support as ever.’ I grinned.
“It’s over now.” After I have got close enough, I thrust broken Nenekirimaru into his chest.
“You killed your own student.” He coughed blood.
“No, I am special you see. I can aim for your soul due to my eyes.” I smiled and caught the broken part of Nenekirmaru courtesy of Satoru’s throw and sliced his neck (his soul)
“Now, it’s time for you to stay in hell.” And Megumi’s body become limp, falling into my shoulder. The mark of Sukuna is gone.
“Ugh!”
“Fuu!” I knew Satoru is hovering around us.
“It’s fine. My eyes just got a bit hurt. Check on Megumi.” I smiled.

"I can handle it myself." (ookurikara -> nagasone)
@nxmelessfighter
Hidden Injuries
Tumblr media
"I know you can, but that doesn't mean you even should. Not on my watch."
Their excursion, while successful, had been a rather rough one, and Ookurikara and Nagasone had bore almost the brunt of the attacks while the rest had sustained scratches and mild bruises. And here he is still stubborn on doing things by himself.
The fact of the matter is despite everything, they do care for their fellow uchigatana and will make sure he's never alone come hell or high water.
Which is why Nagasone, being Captain on this current mission, signals their other three comrades--Sanchoumou, Kotegiri and Nenekirimaru (bless Aruji for sending him this time)--to pin Ookurikara down from even as much as scooting away from them.
Tumblr media
Hyuuga had been quick to chime in, "Be careful...! We still need to dress that wound..."
The tantou shuffles towards Ookurikara and makes a quick work on cleaning his wounds, while Nagasone looks on in mild concern, a soft frown on his face.
"I'm sorry Ookurikara, but we're not going back till you get proper care for your injuries. We should be safe here for the time being..."

Hinamori Citadel Sword Timeline (in-game)
...For posterity. I could just do this with images, I know, but I couldn't actually see the dates that way. Wound up bolding the swords that became important to the Citadel's canon (and swords not in bold might become important later). After awhile the memories came flooding back, so there's random bits of Citadel history/headcanon notes too! (I often made choices Airi would be too cautious to attempt, heh.)
Assume that the Government swords/Munechika are still important in the grand scheme of the Citadel history even if they're not in bold, by the way!
The long list is under the cut~
First Day: 8/26/2021
Starter Sword: Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki
First Tantou: Sayo Saimonji
First Smith: Akita Toushirou
Battlefield Tantou:
-Midare Toushirou (Airi's BFF and wingman)

-Hirano Toushirou
Results of First Day Smithing (figured I'd wing it):
-Nikkari Aoi
-Yamatonokami Yasusada

-Horikawa Kunihiro
-Doudanuki Masakuni
-Yamabushi Kunihiro
-Sengo Muramasa (Airi's soulmate is discovered! Becomes Unit 1 Captain into perpetuity)
Battlefield Tantou:
-Shinano Toushirou (the first sword I decided would pine for Airi, still unsure if it would go anywhere)
-Gokotai
First breaking: Akita Toushirou. Horrified, I decide to forge stronger swords to protect everyone while furiously grinding for Akita.
Stronger Sword Plan Results are as follows:
-Izuminokami Kanesada

-Azuki Nagamitsu (his Dad Energy is so powerful he gracefully exits the harem and joins Sayo and Mitsutada in kitchen duty)

Day 3: 8/28/2021

Arrived in the mail:
-Mikazuki Munechika

Regimental Clash happens with Fukushima Mitsutada, fourth love of Airi's life. For various reasons, he does not come home and I'm despondent about it.
2022 In General: There are so many Kiwame that I don't remember the exact dates of (same with 2023) that they needed their own post [will link here]
1/14/2022:
New Year's Stamp Collection:
-Kokindenju-no-Tachi, who I actually started the game for
1/16/2022:
-Oodenta Mitsuyo
1/26/2022:
-Kenshin Kagemitsu (Airi overprotects him, much to his chagrin)
2/17/2022:
-Nihongou
3/2022 in general: The Great Invasion occurs, bringing with it a sense of truly global scale I had never encountered in a game before. Everyone fights to protect their Citadels, and in Hinamori Citadel Mutsunokami sets out to save Munechika's life and prove his story's worth.
Led by Sengo Muramasa as Unit 1 Captain, Hinamori Citadel does its meager but worthwhile part in the fight to protect everyone's histories.
3/8/2022:
-Hyuuga Masamune (arrives with supplies /half-joking)
In between these two dates, Kashuu Kiyomitsu goes on Kiwame and helps turn the tide. Munechika returns as well, and with Mutsunokami's help Hinamori Citadel is saved.
3/23/2022:
-Hakusan Yoshimitsu (Hinamori Citadel's final reward for their Great Invasion efforts)
5/20/2022: (Edo Castle)
-Kogarasumaru
In Hinamori Citadel canon, Fukushima Mitsutada arrives 6/18/2022. In reality it takes a much longer time for me.
