i love nemona's name so much

she is named after nemophilas which is a very pretty flower and also means woodland loving (you get woodland from νέμος or nemos and get loving from philio) and im taking this as fuel for me being a nemona sprigatito truther

there is also nemo which means nobody which HURTS ME along with nemona being an anagram of no name and also point nemo which is "the loneliest place on earth" because it's the furthest place from land on the planet

and her story is about loneliness and im gonna throw up

her spanish name is less interesting to me than nemona and nemo but mencia is suuuch a pretty name and is also a kind of wine grape!

Nemona x GN Reader Fluff Story

Sometimes, you can't really understand the full horror of what your girlfriend Nemona went through when she went to the Great Crater with some of her friends.

You were absolutely worried sick when she finally picked up her phone, your earlier missed messages and phonecalls were finally met with, "I'm alright! I'm okay, I'm going to come back to school now." Though Nemona is a champion tier trainer and incredibly strong, you know how headstrong she is about battling trainers and new pokemon. Sometimes she even forgets to eat with how excited she gets!

But she and all of her new friends are okay, everyone is safe, but just...emotionally different.

At least one of the rules she's willing to break is to sneak into your room at night so you two can cuddle to sleep. She scared you one night, sneaking into your room by the window of all places, before asking if she could get a hug.

You walk over to her and give her a deep, compassionate hug. Nemona freezes at first, but then sinks her body into your warmth, her head resting at your shoulder. She lets out the heaviest sigh as you pet her hair. "Nemona, why don't you eat my flan? I made it just for you." She lets out a loud laugh before squeezing you tight, "I missed you too! Yes, feed me!" "Next time, use the door," you laugh and complain. Your room was on the 23rd floor after all.

Nothing like joking about having a boyfriend now after I had my tiny pink creature decimate Grusha’s Pokemon with a giant hammer. :V

FYI: That’s not Scarnoa, that’s the Mangokeet. You’ll see Scarnoa eventually, but this run is effectively a prototype of Scarnia’s experience...and then some.

But yeah, I’m definitely going through with the Spanish names, though I do plan on mixing it up. Some will keep their English names, others will have their Spanish names.

And then there’s Iono, with her many names because of fucking course she’d have that many. I’m also using what she says in Spanish, which is “Holichiwa” which is a combination of “Hola” and “konnichiwa” totally not gonna steal that for myself lmaoo

also using “Astro la vista” instead of “Hasta la vistar”

Anyways Arven/Damian has become my absolute favorite (he is best boy, totally do not have a bias lmao). Nemona/Mencia terrifies me but also can I PLEASE get some space? I’m trying to vibe lmao. Penny/Noa needs to clean up her hoodie because Koraidon can smell the sandwich crumbs on her.

also Scarnoa legit just keeps skipping class. Literally becoming the epitome of my nightmares whenever I get into having school dreams about me having specific classes but I KEEP missing them and then the work just piles up. :V

Might as well just join Team Star, but lol nope, Scarnoa keeps getting her ass dragged back to class. It’s not like she wasn’t just, idk, signed up out of the goodness of the professors’ hearts because otherwise, they’d have a homeless nobody on their hands that MAY have gone through an Ultra Wormhole.

Arven/Damian may have needed a lot of time to warm up to Scarnoa. And Scarnoa just keeps getting carried off by Koraidon. Just found this rando kid and decided that hey, you can sleep with me and Scarnoa just woke up next to a giant lizard. LIKE “WHERE AM I”
