Some more shapeshifter Tommy stuff :D

Tommy uses this form whenever he's stealing something(usually something shiny), scrounging for shiny scrap, or just generally doing raccoon-like things. Techno is the one who sees this form the most since it's usually his things that Tommy is trying to steal(mainly golden apples) and Tommy was in this form for most of his stay with Techno after escaping exile(he changed his form to be more similar to Techno's a little bit before Tommy chose to go with Tubbo instead of Techno).

I have 4 questions that hopefully haven't been answered already(sorry if they have ben answered already):

1. Are AUs that are like mixes of different fandoms allowed? Something like an AU that uses the outline/concept/plot of a TV show(that obviously comes from that TV show) but uses the characters from the SMP and their personalities to change the story. Basically, the SMP members would kinda take the place of the characters of the show, but their differences from the original characters influence the plot.

2. If I'm doing traditional art, what is the expected quality? Because my work can be messy sometimes like a lot of lines that couldn't be erased all the way and stuff like that. I don't think it would end up being messy enough to be confusing, but I still want to know.

3. For the expected information artists need to include, where would we put the information?

4. If someone I plan on collaborating with can't join the Discord or something like that, can we still be a team?

Let's go through this in order!

Yes! We allow AUs that are Crossovers "characters from fandom A meet characters from fandom B", like a "lmanberg meets the avengers" au; and we allow aus that are setting swaps, like a "empires crew in 3rd life" au;, and we allow aus that are plot swaps, like a "lifesteal people follow the events of owl house" au, and we allow ones that blur the lines between those, like the hunger games aus that circulate in lots of fandoms. As long as you can still honestly stick a MCYT fandom tag on the work, it qualifies.

We're not holding anyone to a formal quality standard, as that's inherently subjective and doesn't really make space for artists who are at the beginning of their career versus some of the established professionals in this fandom space. This event is all-ages, and we don't want to be telling teenagers that their art is unacceptable. What we're asking for is just that each artist brings something forward that they think is finished, that they think is good work they're proud of, that they think someone would find inspiring and good to work with. Whatever that means to you! As long as you can honestly present the work and say that it's something you think is finished and complete and good, we'll take it.

We are going to release a google form that will collect all the information from the artists, and then we will gather all that information and put it into a form that is easy to read, probably both a google doc and a google sheet, like last year.

For modding purposes, we'd like everyone to join the discord, so they agree to the event rules, and we can get in contact with them if absolutely necessary. You don't have to be active in the discord, but we'd like you to be present.

we’re going to collect enough dream smp dreams to create the most eclectic fic every and ever

I had a dream Techno and Tommy were stage fighting for a gaggle of school kids. They were insanely fast, dueling swords flashing and ringing out in sharp notes. Tommy quickly became the face of the match, working over the crowd with such rallying cries as ‘Girls! Girls! Girls!’ and a classic under dog angle, while Techno was very menacing and looming and all together a wonderful heel. The match ended with Techno fully kicking Tommy off stage and then leaping down to plunge his sword into his neck. Okay well almost into his neck, it was just angled to look that way to the audience. Tommy sold beautifully, thrashing until Techno forced the sword deeper and deeper into the wood floor in jerking, halted plunges that left it hilt deep in the ‘dead’ Tommy’s neck. Crowd was absolutely silent on horror.

Techno retrieved his sword and scooped up Tommy to throw him carelessly over a shoulder like a sack of potatoes, clambered back on stage and exited into the wings. The kids howled with boos and hisses, genuinely very upset. Some were crying a little. A little unsettled, Techno jogged back on stage to explain to the kids that it was all play fighting and no one is hurt and Tommy is still alive see??

And Tommy just dangled limply in his arms. “Bruuuuuuh he’s NOT dead! Tommy stop selling they’re crying. Ahh this is what I get preforming for babies…” the crowd kept getting more and more riled as Techno was trying to do damage control on the kids while Tommy was a useless twit who was still playing dead.

Eventually Techno gave up and slumped back towards the exit still carrying Tommy over a shoulder, only for Tommy to shoot a grin at the kids and kick Techno in the back. UPROARIOUS cheering. Annoyed, Techno scruffed him by the neck to dangle helplessly, then turned to the audience and bowed, bobbing Tommy up and down since his feet didn’t reach the ground. And scene.

C! TNT Duo stuck together in a "This is our get along shirt" shirt because I've been obsessing over C! TNT Duo lately :]

I really tried TvT I had trouble coming up with a first sketch because I really wanted to do Enemies To Married or Switching Dimensions but I didn't know how to exactly... Draw that? Then I decided on this and procrastinated on this and literally just finished a few minutes ago. Honestly, I thought I wouldn't be able to finish in time to post it but I did :D I had to redo this 3 times because it kept look wrong and it still kinda does but it's a bit better than my last submission for this event in like- April. The beanie, faces, and poses were giving me trouble but somehow I managed to push through? I just wish I could have made C! Wilbur look more smug and amused but this is the best I can do :/

Very messy doodle for Benchtober Day 1: Superheroes/Supervillains + "We make a pretty good team"

(Btw, Ranboo's mask is based on Ranboo's R800 model and Tubbo is wearing a gas mask, but the drawing is so tiny that I couldn't make those details clear)

For context: Ranboo and Tubbo are very new villains, only debuting a few weeks ago as a part of the villain organization the Syndicate. They were targeting a building that stored a lot of the Hero Association's data, so they were going to destroy it. Tommy just happened to be walking by and saw the duo trying to figure out the most effective way to destroy the building. Ranboo/Lethe wanted to be more subtle while Tubbo just wanted to randomly place a bunch of his handmade explosives. Tommy walked up to them, critiquing their very unorganized crime and offered to help. The villain duo was rightfully suspicious but hesitantly accepted the offer, much to Tommy's delight. Tommy would get to commit arson AND f### with the Hero Association, and he would also get to "hang out" with some pretty cool villains too. Tommy showed them the proper way to commit arson(because Tubbo would've ended up wasting a lot of explosives and Ranboo's plan wasn't very effective), asking if Tubbo/Cypher's had a chemical composition that was very flammable since the villain is known to have strange(and sometimes dangerous) chemical compounds and explosives/gadgets on hand. Cypher nodded and handed him the substance, and Tommy got to work, telling the other two where to put explosives in the most effective spots and what were the best kinds of places to put the flammable substance so that the fire would spread easier. After about 15 minutes of strategic placing, the trio stepped outside of the building and went a safe distance away. Tommy gave the cue to Cypher to detonate the bombs and it worked very well. Tommy was proud of himself, Tubbo was just excited to see a good explosion, and Ranboo did not expect it to be that effective and was honestly kind of concerned. After this, Cypher asked if Tommy would like to go with them back to the Syndicate's base and maybe work some kind of deal out where Tommy helps them with their missions in return for something. Tommy excitedly agrees :]

(I came up with this AU idea on the spot and now I've grown really fond of it. I might make this a new AU)

I made a silly character based by a drawing a made on the whim on an eraser after my Biology exam(yes I was so bored I drew on an eraser) :D

His name is Yuko, he's a responsible sweetheart at work but an absolute gremlin when he's off :] (I also drew him a friend but she's not done yet)

This was the first drawing/series of drawings I drew that could count as actual drawings that I was actually proud of(we don't talk about my first sketchbook :/)

Also, the anatomy thing to the left of the top right drawing and the eyes below the same drawing was art advice by a very artistic friend of mine :D

So, this was around the time I was first getting into Dream SMP and I found Bludoby's Eburnean Tommy AU and loved it! I think it was the first original AU I got invested in. This was as I was developing my art style and figuring things out so it's rough around the edges but way better than past drawings.

The reference for the top right drawing came from Bludoby's second Eburnean Tommy video called "Killed and revived over and over again". The reference of the left middle drawing was from Bludoby's "Accident" video. The reference for the bottom middle drawing is from their Twitter but idk when they posted it.

I was trying to get into doing full body drawings but I was definitely having some trouble. The arms and legs were a nightmare to try and draw and I still haven't even started the hands TvT

This character was based on Max from Life Is Strange and I kinda want to draw her again.

July-August 2022 - Bust drawings (+ random characters I made on the spot to practice drawing)

I did a lot of bust drawings around this point since they were quick and easy to draw and I wanted to practice hair and expressions. They weren't the best but again, they were for some quick practice.

I'm finally gonna post some drawings on here! It'll all be old art for a while since I have art block rn (some are from 2022 so please don't judge TvT)

They'll probably be from May 2022 to January 2024 :D

I think I'm gonna make this as a mini series since I want to add some extra comments about the drawing so each one will probably get its own post! I might put it under a tag? Maybe #nekole old doodles ( #nekoleolddoodles )
