They were a real challenge to make! I taught myself several new techniques for this doll, including my new favorite-- real eyelashes!

Happy 35th anniversary to The Sandman!

This November Neil Gaiman's The Sandman turns thirty-five-years-old. You may mistakenly think The Sandman was published in January of 1989 but that was just the date on the cover of the first issue. The comic actually hit store shelves months earlier in November of 1988. Since 1988, the story has been published as comic books, graphic novels (and one novella), audio drama, and a Netflix TV series. The Sandman is now thirty-five-years-old! That's funny. He doesn't look a day over ten-billion. :-P

I don't really believe in separating the art from the artist, but I remember how much it hurt when I found out Rowling was an absolutely shit person and so I do worry about the Gaiman fans out there who are in pain because of the article that was dropped today. I hope this helps.

Finally got a shelf that can fit these four together! I hope to add another near it to fit the rest of The Endless when I get around to making them.

Unfortunately, Delirium's custom-made stand broke (and wouldn't fit on this shelf anyways), so she just gets to hang out with the Yellow Submarine for now. I switch out Morpheus's outfits between his different looks every so often.

ships in the neil gaiman universe are so funny to me because you have

two guys who are both dead, one who died in the edwardian era and then was sent to hell for 70 years and one who died in the late 80s who decided not to (potentially) go to heaven to stick with some guy he met a minute ago

a LITERAL angel and a LITERAL demon who have known each other since literally the beginning of THE UNIVERSE

and a guy who said "actually i think i dont wanna die. what if i just didnt" and then he actually never did because death thought it would be funny and death's brother, the god of dreams, who thought the other guy would get tired of being immortal and is sticking around to see if he does
