X. Asterix the Legionary - Centurion Nefarius Purpus and Neveratalos Nefarius is a person that I can totally related to so he automatically catch my eye. His appearance is great and fit to his character perfectly! He and his pal are acting like moms trying to get a bunch of kids under control but failed. I love seeing his facial expressions! Look at him smiling! He's so precious and can be gentle haha Adore this man 🤍 This little Greek is my favourite Legionary of all recruits from 1st Century, 3rd Cohort, 2nd Maniple, 1st Legion. Adorable man that probably can easily kill you. He looks like that idk hahah

I really love that nefarius purpus never entirely gives up on the fact his men might pull themselves together last minute or he might be able to make them/seems to still have some expectations- and as a result gets his comically shocked or angry reaction whenever the men do anything they're not supposed to. and then dubius status, who gave up about fifteen pages ago, is just beside him looking like this

One of my main reasons for shipping dubius status and nefarius purpus is that after the events of that book WHAT ELSE COULD HAPPEN. they have an awful time training the men together, collapse sobbing into the other's arms AND you see nefarius (uneasily) actually offer some sort of comfort to Dubius the second time he does it...ofc they share one very small tent with only one visible blanket...fanfiction trope ass situations like what else can I make of this. what else...

nefarius was made to be the assistant headteacher that shouts at people for wearing a hat inside and evidentky cannot control his temper and dubius was made to be the supply teacher/bad science teacher that gets insanely angry with the class as a tactic to the point he loses all control but they still don't listen or take him seriously (then he cries.) I'll roll my eyes at anyone that tries to apply real roman history to the asterix timeline one moment and the next I'll be like WHAT IF Nefarius Purpus and Dubius Status were at the asterix version of the battle of pharsalus however long in-universe after the events of asterix the legionary, oh andddd here's the timeline of caesar's civil war adapted to the asterix universe. what if they were at the battle of pharsalus and then they kissed btw.
