Today's appreciation is for @givemea-dam-break. I know you're not on tumblr a lot rn, so idk when you see this, but ofc I could never not make an appreciation post about you. I loveeee and adore everything have done for this fandom, whether it be your edits (heart-shattering, wonderful, fantastic, spectacular, the locklyle hands!!!!) or your fanfics. There is a reason why almost everything you've ever written is on my fic rec list, and imo you're in like the top three lockwood & co writers on this site. I'm not lying when I say that Touch is probably my favourite George x reader fic ever (at least top 3!!). Your feedback the fics I write is what keeps me going and it makes me so happy every time! I love that at this point we're also connected outside of tumblr and I get a little glimpse into your life. I just know that when we finally finish the collab fic (one day that will happen I swear lol) it will be the most iconic thing ever written. I love reading her posts because she always has such great ideas and hcs. She's so naturally funny! Her art style isn't my cup of tea, but she's sm better than me and it's super cute!! I honestly could easily imagine a cartoon or animation with her art style. And her writing, oh, don't get me started in her writing, MY GOD, her writing, the first time I read her work, I was awestruck by how similar to Stroud her writing was. Her fics are such a delight to read and her writing is genuinely so impressive. Definitely my favourite fic writer. I particularly adore the AU drabbles she writes because it's so interesting to see my blorbos in different situations. so exquisitely in a way we don't see in the fandom, I could go on and on about how much I love the way she writes. alright you inspired me to start listening to 5SOS again

my favourite album is Youngblood I think, but I need you to give me some more recommendations

i am THE biggest superfan

this is so long so i’m going to put a continue reading thing to save everyone’s dash

now see this is hard because they have so many songs that i need to discern your type to be able to recommend

youngblood is amazing and my favourite songs on it personally are babylon, ghost of you, and if these walls could talk but the album as a whole is incredible (just like their others)

if you like youngblood, i think you’ll also like calm. musically and lyrically it is an incredible album, and red desert (specifically their live performance in ‘the feeling of falling upwards’) is FUCKING incredible, but i think not in the same way, kill my time, old me, no shame, and lonely heart would be songs you’ll like

5 seconds of summer (their debut album) is a certified bop and literally no song is unlikeable but i think you would definitely like everything i didn’t say, 18, and voodoo doll (seeing that live has changed me)

sounds good feels good is my favourite album (hearing them play vapour and waste the night live was LIFE CHANGING) but i think you’d like money, san francisco, the space between a rock and a hard place, the only reason, and outer space/carry on (you’re not allowed to not like that song, and no interruptions during the interlude!!!)

5sos5 their newest album WILL change your life. if you’re looking for youngblood vibes, go for TEARS!, bloodhound, and flatline. my personal favourites are you don’t go to parties, carousel, and bleach!!

then there’s their oldest ep ‘somewhere new’ which i think you would like gotta get out and unpredictable!!

they also have lots of b-side and extra songs (my favourites are if you don’t know, heartache on the big screen, and disconnected) which i think you’d like wrapped around your finger, try hard, 2011 (a more recent one), and rejects

obviously take this with a pinch of salt, i’m going by you saying you like youngblood while also mixing in the personality i know from us being friends 😭 i could go so so much more into depth if you wanted but this is already so long

Okay so I'm just throwing some ideas around here

- maybe something where reader confides to Lucy about her crush on George and Lucy convinces her to flirt with him but bc she's nervous af she does it so aggressively that he thinks she's making fun of him and he turns her down to protect himself so then they're both heartbroken idiots

- something similar to the Locklyle-Winkman scene? Either one of them getting threatened and trying to protect the other

- maybe something where they have to hide in a really tiny space where they are very close to each other

- there is only one bed??? Idk how exactly you would do that since they all have their own bed... bit maybe she doesn't live there but can't go home bc of a storm and George offers her his bed or something???
