I've been so stupidly busy with work, I haven't gotten on tumblr since my last tumblr post djdjdjdjjf Im sorry this took a while!

Johnny with a Shy S/O

In the beginning he couldn't understand why exactly you had decided to stick with them. Gyro was puzzled too. Specially since you silently followed them around without saying much but your predictions about the weather for the next day, or to compliment Gyro's coffee and Johnny's cooking.

They decided to keep you around since somehow your weather predictions were always accurate. And having predicted the weather helped them be prepared.

God, you were shy. It was so painfully cute to both of them. Gyro constantly trying to get you to talk more, while Johnny didn't really mind spending quiet time with you.

That's when you started winning Johnny over. You didn't ask unnecessary questions, you respected his privacy the way no one did as he jumped into fame back in his jockey days.

When Johnny was pissed or having a rough day, you'd simply sit next to him, bumping your shoulder next to him. Without asking anything. You simply reassure him. God, he was terrified of how he was falling for you. You were too good to be true, the moment he attempted anything, karma was going to take you away from him, like all the good things in his life.

The first time this happened, you looked into his eyes and knew something was wrong. You sat next to him, and whispered. "It's okay. I'm glad you're here..." it was such a simple phrase, yet the most genuine reaction, he felt overwhelmed . He looked at you, incredulous at first, though your words warmed his heart like very few things in life did.

Thats when he started falling.

As the race progressed and things started getting more and more out of control, he got progressively more protective of you.

He knew you were strong and smart enough to look after yourself. But your entire presence soothed his, and he felt the urge to constantly keep you safe and sound.

It was so adorable the way you shyly looked away when you noticed he was staring at you. The way your cheeks blushed as you looked away, "avoiding" eye contact, but you were constantly looking back at him and smiling.

Little by little you started opening up more to him. Little by little your conversations lasted longer, and he got to learn more about you and you about him. However, you remained for the most part shy.

Specially during the cold snowy winter. You'd get so flustered anytime Johnny offered you his jacket, or his scarf, or even scooting closer to you at night to stay warm.

However, as shy as you got, you never denied any of his requests.

It happened during a winter night, your first kiss. Johnny was still dealing with having given away two of the corpse parts to save Gyro, that you sat next to him in silence. No questions asked, you rested your head on his shoulder, held his hand in yours. "You did the right thing. I'm proud of you"

Needless to say you hit a nerve there, and made him tear up for the second time that day. You hugged him, feeling how he clung to your body. You kept whispering soothing words to him, even after he broke the hug. Dizzy with the sweetness in your voice, he decided that he needed to kiss you. To claim your lips as his and only his.

If you thought Johnny couldn't get any more protective of you, boy, you were wrong. You, along Gyro's lessons only fueled the spark in his heart he believed to be dead. You helped him feel more determined.

It was almost scary the feral animal he turned into when you were in danger.

Johnny is the living definition of: An asshole to the world, a sweetheart to his s/o

He shows you his vulnerable side. And he knows you'll keep his secrets. He feels so safe and calm when he's with you.

Even after the race, he's still amused by how shy you get everytime he makes a flirty move with you, even when you're already a couple.

The way you blush and look away and stutter is so adorable to him. He can't help himself but constantly being flirty with you.

He is so in love with you, he can't believe how he managed to get in a relationship with you.

He still fears that life might take you away from him, but you constantly reassure him that you're not going anywhere without him.

You're one of the best things to happen in his life, please be gentle with him 🥺💙
