HEADCANON ► FAMILY VALUES ↳ 340 WORDS

It’s difficult to develop an actual relationship with someone who lives their life with one foot out the front door. Sam’s mother was constantly in and out, going who knows where and searching for whatever it was she felt like what was denied her while living as a young housewife and mother.  What actual relationship existed between her absences, where hurts could be soothed with gifts and promises of sticking around that were eventually, inevitably broken. Sam didn’t ask why she always left, why she couldn’t stay. Those weren’t questions in the Evans household. The ‘not talking’  was as solid a tradition as Sunday school and shoes off at the front door. Something you simply got into the habit of.

Most of the time, it felt like he was just supposed to accept it as life and make do. After all, it’s what his father did. He could count on one hand the times his dad expressed his feelings about his wife in front of their boys, and Sam supposed at least there was that, the absence of angry words meaning his father still loved his mother. When he was younger, it’d been a comforting thought, that no matter what, they could still work things out at the end of the day. Now, he just finds it...sad. 

The good and bad blend together, sweet and sour memories of happy Christmases and missed birthdays. Of postcards with artwork from places he struggled to pronounce telling the stories of his mother’s time on the road or long stretches of unanswered calls. Of a farmhouse filled with laughter, table laden with home-cooked meals, and a family of full bellies, versus a sparse meal cobbled together by a ten-year old with limited cooking knowledge and a father who worked late nights. It is difficult, shifting between love and indifference, guilt and resentment, and the overwhelming frustration of feeling unable to unpack any of it.

Family is everything to Sam, everything good that shaped him and at times, the very thing that’s hurt him most.

CREATOR INTERVIEW w/ GREYSON VALDEZ.

How did you get into porn?

“I liked to film me and whoever I was fucking, if they were down with it, when I was in college and uploaded some vids to some sites as amateur porn. Once I graduated, I started sending vids to real porn companies, cause fucking for a living sounded like heaven when was I 22, and eventually got someone interested in hiring me. The rest is history.”

How has this career affected your relationships with people? Do you feel judged by friends and family that were close to you before you started in porn?

“Most of the friends I made in college knew I did videos and posted ‘em for the horny world to see, so none of them were surprised when I started doing actual porn. None of my family knows and don’t see why they would need to. I do real well for myself, and that’s all they need to know. So, nah, being in porn hasn’t changed my relationship with anyone, expect my friends asking a shitload of questions about sex all the time. Not that I’m complaining, it’s a fun subject.”

Do you see yourself as an adult entertainer for the long term? If not, what’s next for you?

“If you mean long-term like into my 40′s, fuck no. I know i’m not gonna do this forever, but I also don’t know what I’m gonna do after so right now I’m just enjoying myself and doin’ what I like. Nothin’ wrong with that.”

If you weren’t involved in porn, what do you think you’d be doing?

“Damn. Haven’t really thought about this much. Probably get a bartending license or start a food truck, or something like that. Not interested in going back to college, did it once and that was enough for me, so that limits my options, job wise. But that’s cool, I would want to do something easy anyways. Anything that has to do with food or drink, because like, fucking being a waiter, would be cool with me.”

What is your most memorable experience, good or bad, working in this industry?

“Been doing this for too long for me to have just one memorable experience, but making friends with people I work with is definitely a plus, so I’m gonna go with that. I’ve had a lot of bad experiences over the years with company’s that have like, no fucking rules, but I’m in a good place now so they’ve been out of my mind for a while now.”

What is the biggest advantage or perk to this career? Biggest disadvantage or drawback?

“Biggest advantage is obvious as fuck; I get to have sex with some of the hottest people I’ve ever met. Helps that a lot of them are cool off screen too and I get to chill with them outside of work. Biggest drawback has gotta be it taking three to four hours to get a take of five minutes. Sometimes it takes a lot for me to stay in the mood when I fuck someone and have to stop over and over again to make sure we’re getting the right angles and the right moans, but guess you can see it as a form of edging. It just gets annoying sometimes.”

What do you think sets you apart from the other creators at NDHQ and in porn in general?

“I love what I do. It’s not just about me getting my rocks off, but showing people that porn cause be pretty realistic and you can try out the shit I do in my videos at home (or wherever you wanna fuck) with your partner. I’m all about authenticity and I think it shows.”

What’s next for you in terms of content? What can we expect to see from your channel?

“I’ve been working with a shitload of hot people and they just keep coming, so got some real fun stuff in the works right now. Doing some videos in public, some are educational, some got a lot of spanking and someone being tied up. I’m always down to do something new and exciting, so never expect the same thing from me.”

Where do your see yourself in 10 years? Are you still with the company? Have you moved onto a new aspect of your life?

“Shit. I’d almost be forty so I kinda hope I’m not still doing this but I wouldn’t be the worst thing ever. I’m still gonna be hot as fuck in ten years but I think fucking people for a living is gonna get old eventually. Problem is, don’t know what I want to do after this so I’m just going with the flow for now.”

“The fucked up stuff that some people get off to. Just makes them think that shit is right. Like extreme age play and shit where someone gets a beating for no fuckin’ reason, just ‘cause. Sex is supposed to be fun, ya know? That nasty shit has no place in the bedroom.”
