nyway, for the record, when/if bakugou apologizes, midoriya has the right to be frothing-at-the-mouth furious w him. ik bakugou isnt nearly as bad now as he was, but he still cost midoriya his childhood essentially

midoriya had no friends (and that fucks you up. i can do a whole post on the impact that had on midoriya), had no one in his corner (not even a teacher oh my god), was ridiculed daily for daring to dream and live on despite his being quirkless, and was told to k*ll himself (and from midoriya’s reaction, we can deduce that that wasnt the first time someone told him to do so, either!!)

and the ringleader of most of these happenings was bakugou

bakugou apologizing would jumpstart midoriya having to acknowledge that all of these things happened and that it was bakugou. u just simply dont react to that kind of mind fuck with “hm yes i am going to think rationally and empathetically”

cause bakugou’s feelings matter yes, but so does midoriya’s, especially bc he was the one hurt for all those years

so midoriya gets to be pissed. he gets to seethe and scream and yell and he gets to be fucking angry. he gets to be salty and bitter and resentful and i want no one to shit on him if he does

the least midoriya deserves is getting to mourn the childhood he never had and the person he’ll never be w/o anyone clowning him
