Miriam rolled her eyes as she stood at the top of the ramp, a beat up sneakered foot tilting her board up as it held it in place. "Oh my god, dude. You're not old, but I'm also not five. I totally got this." Miriam grinned at Wendy. She appreciated the other, both as a friend and almost a mentor type figure of sorts. Miriam was an only child but Wendy would have been a cool ass older sibling, that's for sure. "You won't have to drive me anywhere if that's your biggest concern," she teased. "Besides," she began as she started to get in position to go down the ramp. "I survived the other two concussions I'm sure I could survive this one!" Was all she said before leaning the skateboard down to go rolling down the ramp.

"God, I'm getting fucking old," Wendy realized aloud, a small huff tailing the words from her lips. "I was about to lecture you on the importance of knee pads." Of course, they did have three younger brothers... but they couldn't recall being that overprotective. Man, she missed her brothers. "Just don't get a concussion or anything," she tried instead, finding a compromise, reasonable advice for someone still hip and cool. "I don't want to have to drive you to the hospital."
