Hour #3: LA. Beginning with the photo, we went right into Ops with Kensi and Shyla, and Fatima wearing a very Gen Z outfit and teasing Rountree. Torres, Tennant, and Parker appeared in HQ, and Rountree and Fatima broke into Kilbride’s house (ouch), which was more modern than I was expecting. Tennant stated the obvious and got indignant she didn’t know Callen was CIA, Torres put the thought Kilbride was already killed into everybody’s minds, and Rountree and Fatima nearly got killed themselves while ransacking the house, complete with that slo-mo sound effect the show’s obsessed with. Lucy looking around Kilbride’s office felt sacrilegious, and Fatima’s worry for Rountree was adorable. Parker gave Shyla instructions she was happy to comply with, Rountree had jokes while being assaulted by Devlin #2, and Sam had jokes about Kilbride that were very accurate. Kilbride’s son was mentioned, and everyone was put on an online hit list. Devlin #2 acted like she’d taken Fatima as well, and I admired Rountree’s tenacity. I loved seeing Fatima all worked up about Rountree, and Torres met up with Deeks to see Nina Barnes, who predictably hit on him (why are plus-sized white female characters always inappropriately flirty?). Callen mentioned Hetty as he and Sam looked through her office, and Nina Barnes mentioned Kilbride was in the market for a new gun. The team was sent important information from Hetty using a weird voice scrambler (also the costumer reference!), and Deeks and Torres were nearly shot up. Back to Rountree being soft-tortured and fake-giving up the boatshed, and the amount of Fountree that happened in the space of like twenty seconds was incredible. I know where Winnipeg is- that’s in Canada!, Fatima complimented Rountree, the trapdoor got a feature, and Tennant’s attempt to insult Callen and Sam backfired. I was worried about the Kilbride impersonator’s safety, but he and his British accent seemed to be okay, but Fatima wasn’t- she lost her temper, which was bad for her but great for me- I can’t believe the amount of Fountree they squeezed in. Fatima literally leapt on top of a bad guy, Kilbride (obviously) took down Devlin #2, Rountree and Fatima reunited, and Kilbride heroically walked toward everyone after saving them- also he proposed an exchange with Parker, which was hilarious.     

Overall, this was a solid way to end the night, with a satisfying conclusion (although it would’ve been a lot better without the presence of Tennant’s EMPHASIS on VERY IMPORTANT things EVERYONE needs to CLEARLY UNDERSTAND.
