Actually this won’t be so bad I’m on the living room couch. And it was very funny listening to my aunts and uncles discuss where I could sleep and I was like I was just gonna put the second row of seats down in my car and sleep there. And they all went NOOOOO
#they’re like M**y and M**e and B**d and G**g and your parents snore…..#you could go in the laundry room? or next to the dog kennels on the ground?#and I was like um. I think I’ll take the living room couch#like I will be woken up by kids before 7am but it’s better than not getting any sleep in the same room as someone snoring#oh and they were like you could put in earplugs and then sleep in your brothers and m**e’s room#and I was like I have 33 NRR earplugs and Bose NC 700 headphones. I will hear the snoring through those. I’ll take the living room couch#diary post#my mom and dad and three aunts are playing cribbage like 4 feet from me it’s like being a little kid again#I think this’ll go okay. worst case I can always bail and go to [state]

Calling all monster lovers!!
When I first started this account back in April, I wasn't expecting that in 4 short months, I'd be at 1500 followers?! I was just a girl who loved smut. Now I have all these people who like my stuff??!!!
To celebrate, I decided to host a little writing collaboration just in time for spooky season.
Introducing: MONSTER MASH!
Fic List Here
Info/Rules:
The theme of the collab is monsters. Any kind of monster. Werewolves, vampires, aliens, ghosts, Loch Ness, Frankenstein, fairies, tentacle, sirens, devils, incubus, succubus, WHATEVER. No bounds here as long as there's a monster involved.
There needs to be at least one character from the fandom list below (but this is me guys, threesomes and gangbangs are welcome!). I'm opening this up to a few fandoms that I don't necessarily write for. Fandoms for this event include: -JJK - Love and Deepspace -Bleach -Solo Leveling -MHA
Can you have the pairing with a monster? Can the character of choice be a monster? GOD YES! It's called 'Monster Mash' for a reason!
Does not necessarily need to be horror, accepting any genre.
Word count: minimum of 700 words, no upper cap.
It should be an original fic created for this event.
How to enter / Deadline:
DM/Inbox me so that I can add you to the fic masterlist stating which fandom and monster you're writing for.
For example, a message to me could look like, "Hey Ray! I want to participate in the monster collab. I'll be doing Gojo from JJK and my monster is a vampire!"
Please be sure to tag your fic as '#ncs monster mash' and also @ me so that I can keep track of all your lovely fics!
The deadline for sending me your fic is October 31st!
Have fun my Spooky Sluts!
And thank you so much @actuallysaiyan for making the spooky banner for this event! You really got my idea designed so well 💜

Extreme Slime Expansion
Warning: Extreme Rapid Weight Gain Fantasy Scenario 😜
Ok I normally don’t do long form writing, but I wanted to put this somewhere lol. One of my biggest fantasies is myself being a slime girl with the ability to pump up humans with my slime. I’m not into NC so only if willing, but I’d wanna pump up a skinny girl hundreds and hundreds of pounds in a matter of minutes, and then some 🤤
I’d start by thickening her up all around, watching her skinny thighs fill out, her rear showing more definition, her breasts slowly becoming fuller and rounder, the rest of her body developing a layer of supple fat. My slime works as a biological imitator, so my cells instantly mutate to whatever host cells I want to replicate. In other words, her body is genuinely gaining all of this weight, and I can mold her in any way I want
First I’d concentrate my slime straight to her lower half. Rapidly her hips widen, her thighs thicken, her cheeks swell with pounds and pounds of fat and flesh, and her skin keeps up the pace, the volume and surface area of her ass increase exponentially. I push her up against the mirror so she can see how bottom heavy she’s becoming, going from “thick” to “bbw pear” to “cartoon mom” and beyond, dense fat packed into her hips and thighs and enormous cheeks
Next I’d focus on her belly, slime pumping into her pound after pound until her gut sprawls out before her, love handles turning into dense fat rolls, belly button swelling up on all sides and getting deep. I grab her hanging belly as it sags lower and jiggle it around. Still though it’s stuffed so full of fat and adipose that it extends out straight in front of her, and she moans feeling the vibrations jiggle through hundreds of pounds of new tissue across her body
Suddenly her boobs explode outward in size as I finally concentrate my full power on them, surging with glutted fat and newfound breast tissue. Rivers of slime can be heard forcibly gushing their way into the now ocean of titmeat. Of course I have to force a ton of slime into her nipples as well, swelling them up huge and hard, the size of an average girl’s dildo. Each boob rolls to the side of her gut, still riding as firm on her chest as possible at this size
As she blows through the entire alphabet of bra sizes and into the unknown, I can’t help but squeeze a few dozen collective pounds into fattening her fupa and entire vulva, giving her a wobbling, gravid pussy bigger than her head, and a clit bigger than a soup bowl
She must be, what, 600-700 pounds now? I can only imagine the mixture of fear and excitement she’d be feeling, knowing she let me make her as big as I wanted. Surely we must be done right? She can’t even see the mirror anymore! Little does she know we’re just getting started…
I broadened my slime flow to the rest of her body and begin pumping. Her only request was to maintain some semblance of mobility, and I planned to happily oblige.
Too much weight to carry? Slime poured into her muscles to beef them up, and she modifies her stance to accommodate the enormous amount of new muscle needed to keep her mountainous ass cheeks lofty and firm, to keep her legs from buckling under the sheer weight. Not enough structural integrity? Slime reinforces her bones, strengthens her joints and ligaments, adding even more fat and skin in the right places to maintain balance. Heart going to stop from pure insane obesity? The chambers of her heart suck up my slime like a sponge, becoming like biological steel. I’ll shape and mold her body in any way necessary to maintain every bodily function, maintain some human resemblance…. All so she can take more.
More fat. More slime. MORE.
I finally realize that she’s going to need more height and a larger frame overall or else the laws of physics will catch up with us, and so the massive pile of woman begins growing up as well as out in every direction.
Awww but now she’s not visibly getting much bigger! 20 pounds a second looks like nothing on her, and that’s no fun 😏 So I take a deep breath, enter her every remaining orifice, and make one final push
*GLUUUUUURGLRGLRGLRGLRG*
Her body sounds like a fire hydrant in reverse as hundreds of gallons of slime force there way into her mountainous form, instantly turning into flesh and bone and fat. Soooo much fat.
Finally I stop when I hit that magical number- 2000lbs. I can’t wait to tease her, “you literally weigh a ton, you’re literally as big as an elephant, it might take some getting used to, but you can walk waddle short distances!”
I stepped back to admire my handiwork. This gigantic blob of a once skinny woman had me drooling over her every roll and curve. I was particularly proud of her gargantuan ass cheeks that were each the size of a refrigerator, and yet miraculously didn’t touch the ground, instead perpetually wobbling and jiggling acting as a counterweight to the insane amount of flesh forced into her boobs, belly, and pussy.
“MMMMMMMMMM” I heard her moan as she tried to lean forward to rest on her boulder of a belly, “I’m soooooo hungryyyyyy”
I stood behind her, admiring that I could now see her enormous blubbery vulva, glistening and dripping as a testament to how horny and sensitive I’d made her
“Me too babe, me too 🥵🤤😋”
***Dont expect long form written content or stories from me like this in the future, this is a super rare occurrence 😜😜😜

No offense to Nesta, but I don’t think I could read another 700 page book centered around her. And I specially wouldn’t read a 700 page book with Gwyn as the main character. I could be in the minority, but I almost DNF Silver Flames.
I hear ya. I liked ACOSF, but it lacked action. There was more focus on Cassian absolutely chafing for Nesta and Nesta training, instead of having anything actually happen plot-wise.
The troves and Eris/soldiers part was interesting, but the BR seemed kind of rushed. It's SJM fantasy, so of course I knew all three women would be fine in the BR, and there would be no stakes. I liked Nesta, I liked Cassian, I liked Gwyn, I liked Emerie.
I wasn't a part of this fandom when I read ACOSF, and so I like to think I read it 'as the author intended'. Meaning, I had no preconceived bias about ships or characters. I thought it was necessary for Nesta to go to HOW rehab, I thought she definitely fucked up in the way she told Feyre about the pregnancy issues but I understood why she did it, I thought Rhys was kinda a dick but I understood why he was like that, I thought it was badass when Nesta put on the mask, I thought her and Cassian being so down bad for each other was hot, I absolutely loved Cassian and did think he was deserving of Nesta, I thought Nesta giving up her power to save Feyre was the ultimate show of her love for her sister–
Imagine my surprise, when I come into this fandom and I see people being Anti-Rhys. Anti-IC. Anti-Feyre. Anti-Cassian. I see people saying Nesta's going to break the mating bond with Cassian to go be with Eris. I see people saying she's going to overthrow Rhys and become High Lady of the NC.
Oh, and Azriel suddenly is mates with Nesta's friend, Gwyn – even though he's trained her every day and they had maybe exchanged 2 sentences in the entire book? It was....bizarre to say the very least.
Like ACOSF in my head was NOT good enough to garner this level of ride or die fans. I don't know WHY people have latched onto Nesta & Gwyn so hard that they're now saying everyone else in the books is bad and an abuser or whatever in comparison to them. It's just so weird. Weird. Weird. Weird.

Lily of the valley flowers are considered the flower of fairies. The tiny flowers bells are used by fairies as cups from which to drink. Lily of the Valley is a wildflower native to the Southern Appalachians and is found in the mountains and Piedmont of NC. Its native habitat is mountain forests, particularly in rocky or sandy dry woodlands or forests, usually under oaks in elevations from 700 to 1500 meters. It grows and spreads by underground rhizomes and can form small colonies.
The fragrant bell-shaped flowers appear in spring on short stalks April-June. In the past, these flowers were a must-have if you had a country estate or garden.

A question arose on Reddit a while back: "What type has the strongest team, all of that type?" The answer at this point is...relatively obvious, though I'd argue there are competitors. Monotype teams are fairly difficult to design. Many types struggle with certain roles. Ice didn't have a fantastic striker until NC Red, and finding good supports in types like Rock is a lost cause. And that's just broadly, not even aligning to their type. So this was a pretty interesting question! And one I'm going to try to answer, by testing some things out.
Ground Rules To assess team strength, I'm going to set up a few ground rules. Obviously the big one is "all of that type." This makes life difficult for some. I'm also noting that this assessment is for 3v3 matches only. Using monotype in Gauntlet is...well, it's stupid. That mode is designed to ideally function with solo and duo clears if you're running streaks, otherwise getting to ten wins isn't too bad and this discussion point is irrelevant. So we're assessing by Champion Stadium and High Score performance only. I did consider Battle Villa, but that ultimately causes more harm than good given MP constraints.
My goal here is to figure out functional performance of these teams, which means that, to the best of my ability, each team will be tested. That said, I do not have every pair, and some optimal teams will involve options I do not have. If I do not have a pair, I will do my best to approximate with what I do have, and otherwise will discuss by concept of how they should perform. Testing was done on Wikstrom's Ghost-weak stage for CS, and Volkner's High Score stage due to lack of parameters. If the type was super-effective, we went with Malva's Dark-weak CS stage, and Surge's High Score stage.
That in mind, we'll start with what's necessary: establishing the best monotype team of each type.
Normal (Anabel, Palmer, SC Steven) Team Concept Anabel is a competent support, as far as defensive need goes, and has a great flinch rate. Palmer has tremendous power, while SC Steven can debuff, and notably increase PMUN for Palmer while supplying a bit of speed.
Practical Performance We had to use Hugh instead, and let me tell you, it's not the same. I know I don't have EX Hugh, and I'm not going to, so they didn't clear. It's a disaster. Palmer's the only one in this type with the power behind his DPS to clear this kind of thing. I'm sure Hugh could manage if he were better invested, but it's very not the same. High score was equally disastrous.
Alternate Considerations At one point, I considered Winter Whitney for defense debuffs and further flinch. But SC Steven's added speed boosts and lack of any need for gauges are what pushed him over the edge.
Grass (SS Acerola, Adaman, SS Lyra) Team Concept Extension on Sun and Grassy Terrain, both of which are applied on entry. Gauge free Lyra and Adaman, with Lyra having perfect flinch lockdown. Acerola stacks PMUN to the moon.
Practical Performance This is one of two teams that cleared CS with no damage, and the only one to do so because they’re good instead of lucky. This team is absolutely absurd. Perfect flinch lockdown turns every stage in CS into a punching bag. However, High Score gains immunity to the flinch after each recovery, and Acerola is frail. They were able to handle up to 700 strength, but at 800 Adaman can no longer pre-sync clear, and they all die to sync.
Alternate Considerations No other sync pairs were considered for this team composition. Each is the best in show.
Fire (NC Leaf, SS Hilda, SS May) Team Concept NC Leaf tanks with Endurance, and possibly Support EX role. Leaf supplies debuff, rebuff, and Sun to the team. SS May provides speed boosts and a full turn of fast-ramping. SS Hilda is pure damage.
Practical Performance NC Leaf is not the best tank in the world, but she has enough to succeed where it counts. Leer, Trainer Move, Buddy move is the ideal rotation to set up what she needs. Provided she is still alive, denials are now possible, as all three can attack per round, dishing out obscene damage. SS May takes first sync, to ease gauge requirements on Blaze Kick. Hilda ends CS easily. High Score is a rougher time. They handled 500 strength, which surprised me, but couldn't do 600.
Alternate Considerations SS Morty was an alternate consideration. As a support that sets Sun and provides much better staying power, this seems to combo well enough with May and Hilda. And, truth be told, it can. There are tradeoffs, however. The loss of Leaf’s DPS results not just in lower damage per turn, but in fewer debuffs for May to abuse. The loss of rebuff also sharply drops team damage. Morty is better for High Score consistency, but worse for the CS beatdown. It’s a fairly equivalent trade. Morty does a bit better with High Score thanks to bulk (though didn't actually salvage 600 for me), Leaf does way better in CS.
Water (SS Kris, NC Serena, SS Lysandre) Team Concept Rain, Serena's debuffs, Lysandre's raw power, all with Kris' SMUN stacking.
Practical Performance Kris tanks well, and the stacks of SMUN are delightful to Lysandre. Serena feels almost extraneous, truth be told; he's that strong. The rebuff and debuff applications are, however, essential, and her sync is required for High Score. As anticipated, Lysandre combos well with Kris, thanks to his Free Moves Next applications in the early fight. They were able to clear up through 600 strength.
Alternate Considerations Eusine was a consideration over Lysandre, as was Archie. None of them held up to Lys. The boom of Buddy Hydro Pump more than answers sides, while his DPS on a burned target was far superior, hitting around 23k to Eusine’s 13k. Archie’s damage is better than Eusine, though it’s an unfair comparison to Lysandre due to how I’ve invested in each. The bigger issue is, while Archie gets extension on Rain and sets it on entry, this removes Kris’ +4 Sp Def, and Archie’s self-setup needs more than what Kris can provide rapidly, giving Lys and early lead.
Electric (NC Blue, SST Red, Ash) - none of them Team Concept NC Blue tanks, boosting defenses and debuffing offenses per action, with Free Moves Next covering gauge. SST Red bypasses all gimmicks to deal consistent damage, and debuffs defenses of paralyzed opponents, which he applies with his Max Move, alongside Electric Terrain with Extension 5. Ash has a world-ending nuke of a Buddy move, and consistent Endurance with healing shenanigans keeping him alive.
Practical Performance I have none of these. But watch the video. They clear 1000 strength. Technically there's another, NC Blue is the only consistency. Limited Electric is dumb.
Alternate Considerations There are none. Come on.
Ice (Glacia/Dana, Irida, NC Red) - no Red Team Concept Irida provides Hail and Ice Zone routinely, as well as consistent Sp Def debuffing. Dana supplies an on-type boom from NC Red, while Glacia is bulkier with better passive recovery in Hail for off-type.
Practical Performance Without Red, I cannot perfectly assess. But I do have the comparison of these teams when running strikers like Pryce or Lorelei, who are bad. Considering Irida was carrying them to the finish line off-type, NC Red is going to have zero issues with the rebuff and sure-freeze component. Even his sync outperforms Irida’s with the Tech role, if Irida is using a more support-oriented grid. That said, with crappier strikers comes terrible High Score performance. They just can't muscle through bulk.
Alternate Considerations Melony was considered as a support, but Glacia has better defensive properties under Hail, and the accuracy boost isn’t truly relevant given Red’s presence.
Bug (Aaron, SC Ingo, SC Emmet) Team Concept Pretty straightforward, with Aaron offsetting SC Emmet's buffing, leading to better Zone DPS.
Practical Performance Bad. I have not invested in either Ingo or Emmet, so this was effectively unachievable. Theoretically it’s possible, but strangely Aaron just lacks for defensive presence when a Zone is part of the equation. Ingo offers far too little in DPS to matter, while the struggle for sync between Support EX or Rising Tide Emmet is hard to call when you don’t have EX Emmet. The whole situation was bad. High Score is laughable.
Alternate Considerations I thought maybe Lodge Dawn with SS Hilbert and Alder would be good. Dawn is able to save a turn of buffing with Team Sharp Entry, and supplies needed gauge. But in attempting Lusamine as a fill-in for Hilbert, it’s…not happening. There’s not enough gauge in the world, to say nothing of Alder’s frailty in the AoE meta. Bug sucks, man.
Poison (V!Agatha, Emma, Oleana) Team Concept Oleana gets immediate Toxic on the enemy team, and can queue a move to not lose pace. Emma provides +4 team speed and Free Moves 50% of the time she attacks a Poisoned foe, while Agatha spams Leer.
Practical Performance Oleana is a bit tough, you can miss the timing of your queue, but it’s fine. If you hit it, congrats on the fast-ramp. Otherwise it’s not so bad, as Emma’s Head Start 2 offsets any potential deficits. Following Agatha’s EX sync, Emma’s Buddy move is a clean OHKO on sides for easy denials. Oleana can supply +2 speed to the team with Move Gauge Boost Pep Rally, and the -6 offenses really supplement Agatha’s slow-building defensive stats. It’s dangerous if the foe gets to their first sync, which is to say, if Agatha drops early. But barring that, they’re pretty consistent. High Score, however, was a challenge. Even with -6 offenses, the best they could do was 400.
Alternate Considerations Ariana is the only real consideration at present, and I wouldn’t. Oleana is just too effective at the spread Toxic and offense debuffing for Agatha, so she can’t go. And Emma’s DPS is half the reason this works at all. Ariana’s got a strong sync nuke, and does get spread with the Strike role, but for this particular composition it’s hard to argue in her favor over the other two.
Rock (MC Regirock, SS Diantha, SC Hilda) Team Concept Double Diancie has strong AoE DPS that quickly annihilates sides thanks to Diantha’s Zone and defense debuffs. Regirock can top off Hilda’s attack, and supplies +20% move damage through its Master passive.
Practical Performance They’re good but not great, I would say. Hilda really needs first sync to perfectly manage gauge considerations, but for heavy defense fights like Wikstrom, the DPS isn’t always sufficient. I did test them against Malva as well, and they had a much easier time. That said, Diantha’s trainer move is a godsend. -1 sync cooldown puts her on track for a second sync before foe’s first, even without a proper denial. The real problem is Regirock, who is just an outright bad support. Astonishingly frail, offers little, but at least it can Endure. High Score capped at 300, which is frankly better than I expected of Regirock.
Alternate Considerations I consider Roxanne, Lodge Steven, and Classic Blue, as a team I’ve used off-type before. They’re capable, but not as competent. They just don’t have the consistency of damage, and Steven really needs to land a flinch at the right time to stay on track. Emmet was considered but quickly dismissed due to lack of Sandstorm. Paulo was considered as an alternate tank thanks to the Support role, but truth be told, I still don’t respect Paulo and don’t have him, so he wasn’t considered. He would’ve just complicated the fight for sync anyway.
Ground (Ingo, SS Giovanni, V!Giovanni) - no V!Gio Team Concept SS Giovanni and V!Giovanni are absolute powerhouse DPS pairs with poor gauge. Ingo, under Sandstorm, boosts team speed every attack, and supplies Free Moves Next with trainer move for easier rotations.
Practical Performance No V!Gio means this doesn’t really work, but it can be tested with Courtney. But they don’t come close. The gauge management is a problem. In truth, this is hard to assess broadly. I don’t invest in SS Giovanni, but Ingo’s bulk is just as much of a problem as anything. I didn't even bother trying with High Score, it's not worth it given my lack of investment.
Alternate Considerations Several. Maxie is considered, but lacks a cohesive Ground partner. SC Lyra’s gauge issues are too great for him and Courtney to bear. Cynthia was considered, given her better synergy with Ingo and ability to actually off-type, but I think with invested SS Gio and V!Gio, you’d have an argument for them being superior because of the Max move and better DPS Zone setter. But would gauge be okay? It’s incredibly hard for me to tell, truthfully. Ground just lacks internal cohesion.
Steel (Argenta, P!Marnie, Rose) Team Concept Rose blasts everything with high-power AoE, while Marnie supplies Zone and flinch rate. Argenta completes the team with quick +4 speed to the team, improved physical bulk, and routine application of +1 PMUN for Rose to abuse.
Practical Performance Obviously, no Argenta, but we do have Registeel as a point of comparison. It’s not a good look. Registeel has terrible gauge management, it’s just too slow to make it work. And without Team Sharp Entry, Marnie’s sync gets into a lot of trouble. It’s just not a viable solution, really. Argenta’s easier rotation and much faster speed should, in theory, make all the difference. But truthfully Rose/Marnie might just be too slow. High Score wasn't happening.
Alternate Considerations If gauge with Rose is too slow, then Gloria is a possibility. Aim for foe to sync early so they don’t gain too much strength and boom back with Gloria. The problem is that only works for physical stages, as special can’t be mitigated by Marnie and Argenta. So it’s inconsistent. A more invested Rose might be able to do better too, I’ll admit to mine being much weaker. Still, center was a huge problem, and we couldn’t keep them locked down because of gauge.
Flying (Proton, SS Ethan, Anni Skyla) Team Concept SS Ethan has great AoE damage without penalty, while Skyla is an excellent sync nuker that supplies Zone. Proton provides Sp Atk/crit buffing with extra speed for gauge management, while Skyla can flinch AoE with Air Cutter Staggering 4.
Practical Performance I don’t have Proton, but I do have Falkner, and let me tell you. This…is stressful. They can win, but it requires consistent flinch luck and very clear understanding of when to use what move on Falkner. Mismanagement of your attacks, as well as mismanagement of parameters, means Falkner is one-shot. Mine is fully invested, this isn’t about lack of stats, he’s just that frail. You flinch, or you die, and that makes things painfully inconsistent. Proton wouldn’t have much difference either. I understand he’s about as frail as Falkner. High Score capped at 300.
Alternate Considerations As stated, Falkner fills in just fine. But the team struggles. I did want to do Summer Liza/Anni Steven, but there’s no good Flying support that anchors the two. If only Argenta had been Flying…
Fighting (Aura Cynthia, SC Diantha, NC Hop) Team Concept Cynthia provides significant defensive boosting with Zone on entry and sync. Hop and Diantha both debuff defenses, with Hop rotating free actions through trainer move and Buddy move.
Practical Performance Surprisingly competent. I didn't actually expect them to be as strong as they were, I thought gauge would be more of an issue than it was. Cynthia tanks incredibly well, and the damage output is very respectable. Hop sometimes has to play a little freely with trainer move, but in 3v3 it's not too much lost. They were pretty safe in terms of their victory. That said, High Score could only handle 400. If I have 3/5 EX NC Hop, I'm positive they'd get at least another 100, possibly 200.
Alternate Considerations None. Fighting doesn't have many options.
Psychic (NC Bede, SS Lusamine, SS Lana) Team Concept NC Bede stacks moves up next and rotates Free Moves. Extreme fast-ramping potential with Terrain.
Practical Performance Offensively, the damage numbers are present and significant. However, it's defense where Bede falters. Buddy move can boost defenses, but his lack of serious healing potential can throw him off his game. Single-target damage is also a fairly significant concern, making center often more of a challenge than it should be. Using both physical and special also reallocates points in CS, which can be frustrating. This lack of bulk also meant strength caps at 400 for High Score. They couldn't quite hack 500.
Alternate Considerations SS Steven was considered, but ultimately dropped. On the offensive end, he's probably a bit more reliable at taking out sides for denial, but does nothing for Bede's survival. Taking Lana's place also removes the Terrain, in exchange for more assured -6 cooldown. I did test him, and he didn't do any better in High Score. So I think Lusamine's a bit more effective just because she has bulk and another round of fast-ramping.
Ghost (NY Dawn, Anni Lillie, Renegade Cynthia) Team Concept NY Dawn tanks, Lillie and Cynthia act as damage, with Cynthia supplying Zone.
Practical Performance Gauge is a problem, and Lillie may have to use Potion to keep pace for sync. Lillie takes first, Cynthia second. You really, desperately want Stop Hitting Yourself to work in your favor. With bad luck, Dawn just crumples. With good luck, you get this clear, where we ended at full HP for the entire team. Figure that out. High Score handled 300 alright, but 400 bodied them.
Alternate Considerations SS Korrina has stronger off-type ability than Lillie, but mine isn't invested so I couldn't test it. But I also think Lillie's survival aspect is worth noting, as previous use has ended with Lillie tanking sync to finish a match.
Dark (NC Calem, SC Zinnia, NC Marnie) Team Concept Turn 1 capped physical offense for the entire team, debuffs from Royal, 70% flinch rate from Zinnia, denial of buffs, etc.
Practical Performance SC Zinnia is disgusting. I've talked about this comp well in advance. Marnie's spread move means easier access to Calem's Buddy move for first sync, which is exactly what you want. They could beat 600 strength Surge in High Score, but couldn't quite get 700. It was close but I just couldn't make it work.
Alternate Considerations SS Cyrus can apply Sleep, but this is wildly redundant in High Score, interferes with flinch, and doesn't count toward Calem's buddy move. NC Marnie is worth discussing, as an absolute powerhouse pair.
Dragon (SS Brendan, Lucas, SS Serena) Team Concept SS Serena is a powerhouse under Zone, with SS Brendan to debuff special defense.
Practical Performance They do well enough, but not great. Off-type is definitely possible, this is a long-standing off-type team, but they encounter some concerns. Brendan, despite his bulk, takes a lot of damage from physical. Serena's damage is good but not ridiculous compared to other strikers. Lucas feels like he doesn't contribute that much. High Score was able to handle 400 strength.
Alternate Considerations Dragon has so little. BT Leon/C!Iris could be amazing if Dragon had an Atk/crit buffer.
Fairy (SS Mina, NY Lisia, SS Wally) Team Concept Wally supplies many needed effects for special Fairy types, while Mina takes out his need to set Zone as part of the rotation.
Practical Performance Lisia, being the strongest damage dealer of the type, hits really hard. Unfortunately, her allies are horribly aligned to her. Three Fairy Zone setters, and not one helps physical in the slightest. Disgusting. The only thing I can say in their favor is that Mina's bulk and Buddy move let them handle 500 strength, but 600 was too bulky to work through.
Alternate Considerations Diantha is the initial consideration, given her alignment with Wally. Unfortunately, she creates too much tension between needing her DPS, and Wally needing his Buddy move. Bede was considered, and is generally good, but lack of DPS tended to trip him up regardless of debuffing potential.
The Ranking That's a lot of information, but based on performance, I'd personally rank them as follows:
Electric
Grass
Dark
Water
Ice
Fire
Fighting
Fairy
Psychic
Dragon
Poison
Rock
Ghost
Flying
Steel
Ground
Normal
Bug
Type cohesion is a challenge for some of these, just based on certain tools that feel missing. It's also worth noting that the distinction in High Score is severe. NC Bede gets hit hardest; he is capable, but higher strength demands put a lot of strain on his slow-acting bulk, which is the crux of the issue. Psychic does damage better than most, and ramping better than any of them, but it lacks for sustain where it counts. Meanwhile Bug is the opposite, where strong damage dealers technically exist, but aren't exactly doing great if you don't have one of the two that are legitimately good.
I think what I'd most like to see going forward are:
Good Flying support. It says a lot that base Skyla is still one of the best.
Good Ghost support, in the sense of god do they need gauges, and no one in the type provides.
Fairy Zone or Rebuff setter that actually facilitated NY Lisia. Fairy legitimately has potential if it just stopped being so lopsided with its best damage dealer and potential Tech allies.
Bug and Normal types, just in general.
Good single-target Psychic damage. Lusamine and SS Lana are great for spread, but terrible at single target. I know there's SS Steven but that loses the ramping approach that makes them stand out, and he's honestly worse off than Lusamine. I think what they really need is just...a better Terrain setter, or someone with ramping that can, as painful as it sounds, replace Lusamine.

July 7 2022 Asheville NC and Denver CO
We visited The Biltmore Estate this morning, which is a major tourist attraction and resort in Asheville. According to Wikipedia
“Biltmore House (or Biltmore Mansion), the main residence, is a Châteauesque-style mansion built for George Washington Vanderbilt II between 1889 and 1895 and is the largest privately owned house in the United States. Still owned by George Vanderbilt's descendants, it remains one of the most prominent examples of Gilded Age mansions.
In the 1880s... George Washington Vanderbilt II began to make regular visits with his mother, Maria Louisa Kissam Vanderbilt, to the Asheville area. He loved the scenery and climate so much that he decided to build a summer house in the area, which he called his "little mountain escape". His older brothers and sisters had built luxurious summer houses in places such as Newport, Rhode Island, the Gold Coast of Long Island, and Hyde Park, New York.
Vanderbilt named his estate Biltmore, combining De Bilt (his ancestors' place of origin in the Netherlands) with more (mōr, Anglo-Saxon for "moor", an open, rolling land). Vanderbilt bought nearly 700 parcels of land, including over 50 farms and at least five cemeteries; a portion of the estate was once the community of Shiloh. A spokesperson for the estate said in 2017 that archives show much of the land "was in very poor condition, and many of the farmers and other landowners were glad to sell.”
Construction of the house began in 1889. In order to facilitate such a large project, a woodworking factory and brick kiln, which produced 32,000 bricks a day, were built onsite. A three-mile railroad spur was constructed to bring materials to the building site. Construction on the main house required the labor of about 1,000 workers and 60 stonemasons. Vanderbilt made extensive trips overseas during construction to purchase decor. He returned to North Carolina with thousands of furnishings for his newly built home, including tapestries, hundreds of carpets, prints, linens, and decorative objects, dating from the 15th century to the late 19th century. Among the few American-made items were the more practical oak drop-front desk, rocking chairs, a walnut grand piano, bronze candlesticks, and a wicker wastebasket.
George Vanderbilt opened his opulent estate on Christmas Eve of 1895 to family and friends from across the country, who were encouraged to enjoy leisure and country pursuits. The Gilded Age mansion reportedly cost $5 million (today's equivalent of $180 million) to construct. Guests to the estate over the years included novelists Edith Wharton and Henry James, ambassadors Joseph Hodges Choate and Larz Anderson, and U.S. presidents. George married Edith Stuyvesant Dresser in 1898 in Paris, France. Their only child, Cornelia Stuyvesant Vanderbilt, was born at Biltmore in the Louis XV room in 1900, and grew up at the estate
Stressed by Congressional passage of income tax and the expensive maintenance of the estate, Vanderbilt initiated the sale of 87,000 acres to the federal government. After Vanderbilt's unexpected death in 1914 of complications from an emergency appendectomy, his widow completed the sale. She carried out her late husband's wish that the land remain pristine, and that property became the nucleus of the Pisgah National Forest. Overwhelmed with running the large estate, Edith began consolidating her interests, selling Biltmore Estate Industries in 1917 and Biltmore Village in 1921. She intermittently occupied the house, living in an apartment created in the former Bachelors' Wing, until the marriage of her daughter Cornelia to John Francis Amherst Cecil in April 1924. The Cecils had two sons, who were born at Biltmore in the same room where their mother was born.
In an attempt to bolster the estate's finances during the Great Depression, Cornelia and her husband opened Biltmore to the public in March 1930 at the request of the City of Asheville, which hoped to revitalize the area with tou rism. Biltmore closed during World War II. In 1942, 62 paintings and 17 sculptures were moved to the estate by train from the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. to protect them in the event of an attack on the United States. The Music Room on the first floor was never finished, so it was used for storage until 1944, when the possibility of an attack became more remote.
After the Cecils divorced in 1934, Cornelia left the estate never to return, but John Cecil maintained his residence in the Bachelors' Wing until his death in 1954. Their eldest son, George Henry Vanderbilt Cecil, occupied rooms in the wing until 1956. At that point Biltmore House ceased to be a family residence and was operated as a historic house museum.
Their younger son William A. V. Cecil, Sr. returned to the estate in the late 1950s and partnered with his brother to manage the estate's financial trouble. They worked to create the profitable and self-sustaining enterprise that their grandfather had envisioned. William Cecil inherited the estate upon the death of their mother, Cornelia, in 1976. His brother George Cecil inherited the more profitable dairy farm, which was spun off as Biltmore Farms.”
Down in the basement one of the most interesting things about the house museum was this display about the building of the mansion.
Some of the artwork on the walls, which was done by guests during a party, was amazing!
As a gardener, my favorite parts of the estate were the gardens and the greenhouse.
So, the question just begs to be asked. What made the Vanderbilt family so exceedingly RICH? Cornelius Vanderbilt came from a middle class family. His father was a farmer but also started a shipping business. Cornelius borrowed money from his father to start his first ventures in trading and ferrying, especially military troops and supplies. From that success he build an empire in the railroad industry. But was he TRULY a “self-made man” as so many industrialists were claimed to be? Looking it the history during those years there were many other factors working in their favor.
According to the Grunge history website:
“After all, this was the Industrial Revolution; it wasn't really kind to the everyday worker. Low wages and horrific working conditions were just part of the era (via Legends of America). And that was true of the railroads, too; according to The Atlantic, the normal wage for a man working on the railroad was a pitiful 75 cents a day. That's next to nothing, especially compared to the millions in the pocket of the Vanderbilt family. It also feels like it lines up with something that Vanderbilt's son, William Henry Vanderbilt, said to the press: "The public be damned." They only really cared about their stockholders and investments,
Basically, the government wasn't really on the side of the working class; they definitely sided with corporations. As History explains, the government worked to keep foreign competition out of the picture, giving industrialists the chance to create monopolies while facing few consequences. (Honestly, maybe that's also because plenty of politicians were easily bribed, gladly helping out their friends with deepest pockets, making sure legislation favored big business over the everyday worker).
And even where rampant corruption wasn't involved, there was ignorance. Encyclopedia.com says that Cornelius Vanderbilt wasn't above manipulating the stock market as he saw fit, he and other business owners selling stocks at inflated and unwarranted prices, simply because the government regulation wasn't there to tell them to stop.”
And they also paid LITTLE TO NO TAXES! Unfortunately, it sounds like not a lot has changed since the “Gilded Age”. Yes, there are some regulations and controls on industry and corporations, but most of them aren’t strong enough to prevent monopolies and mistreatment of employees. Just look at Amazon, Google and Meta (formerly Facebook). And they are the biggest, but there are MANY other multi-national corporations monopolizing industries and union-busting so that they can maximize their profits. That’s unbridled CAPITALISM for you, combined with political corruption, patriarchy, and GREED. The world has been plagued by this for centuries, if not millenia. If you don’t believe me, read “Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind” by Yuval Noah Harari. It doesn’t have to be this way and many believe that a complete overhaul of the political and economic systems worldwide, as well as advancing feminism, would go a long way towards creating a truly egalitarian society. I’m among those people.
Bruce and I left North Carolina this afternoon to finish our vacation in Denver. We realized that if we contracted COVID we would be stuck at the Omni with NO ROOM SERVICE and no ability to leave to get food. Don’t ask me why that never occurred to us but seeing all those people not wearing masks was a wake up call and we hightailed it back to Colorado, where we checked into the Four Seasons Hotel, which has room service and is close enough to drive home at a moment’s notice.

I’ve bolded those names who are either current or former members of the BJU Board of Trustees. UPDATE: I eliminated this indication after receiving all the names who signed.
The men present who voted unanimously were either all of those or some of those. We don’t know. We can presume that the Officers were all likely present: Kevin Schaal, Gordan Dickson, Taigen Joos, Bud Steadman, and Michael Privett.
Who abstained? Bob III didn’t. Mike Harding as a present BJU Board member? Stephen Jones as a very absent member of the Royal family? Mark Minnick as a current employee?
The only name on there that I can guarantee did not abstain was Don Johnson, but he’s an old friend of mine. ;)
What do you think?
UPDATE, May 15, 2023: The Positives have added an unredacted signatory list. WutBJU will mark all those signatories on the above list in bold italics.
