Just watched Natural Born Killers!!

it kind of felt like watching a movie about a movie and totally fits in with Quentin Tarantino's other works. But i can see why it got such low ratings because it's a satire commentary.

and the soundtrack is the fucking bomb Dylan has good taste

"Only love can kill a demon" makes me wonder about what could-have-been if Dylan ever found what he was looking for or waited long enough for 'fate'. This could go either way, though, because the last thing that Mickey does is sh00t Scagnetti. Why? Because it's his nature. He had what he needed and felt fulfillment with Mallory and he still kills him anyway. In a nihilistic sense, he still believed he was making a statement. Maybe rid the world of 'evil manipulative scum'. An act of retribution on the surface, but underneath it could all boil down to nature and impulse. Wanting so badly to be understood you 'go out with a bang' because then you'll be known in your most comforting state; suffering.

This is also ties with with what the native american dude said - "Once upon a time, a woman was picking up firewood. She came upon a poisonous snake frozen in the snow. She took the snake home and nursed it back to health. One day the snake bit her on the cheek. As she lay dying, she asked the snake, "Why have you done this to me?" And the snake answered, "Look, bitch, you knew I was a snake."

Hypothetically if Dylan DID find support and some type of fulfillment, where would all of his repressed anger go?

Natural Born Killers is MEANT to be satire. It's MEANT to poke fun at the way serial k1llers are idolized. It feels so genuinely artificial. It's like when 'getting better' feels like you're just observing happiness, not truly getting down to experience it. When you're so aware of your own thoughts you cannot even dumb yourself down to just live in the moment. You can't get rid of your own mind, and I can't believe that Dylan really wanted to. Being so conscious is a blessing and a curse, and it's so damn easy to go on a downward spiral just because it's fascinating. The adrenaline, the godlike feeling of not being understood, the isolation, everything.. It makes you think there's nothing else in the world other than getting worse. It's hell, but it hurts so fucking good.
