Nazuna's hands clack against the varnish, but to Mika, she has no response; whatever she says can never satisfy Itsuki's all-consuming perfectionism, the one that still resounds in her every word and fills in the cracks she works to hide. She can never be enough for either of them and the worst thing is that she wants to be. She wants her Oshi-san to take her back in, to call her pretty and compliment her soprano and yell at her over missing a step because then she would feel something other than the emptiness she was made to house. But she has no home with them anymore.

She wants to spend more time with her, wants to know her favorite snacks and where she buys her clothes, wants to taste the cherry lip balm she always applies during the winter and the pocky she shares with Kiryu during lunch breaks. She almost doesn't catch the fond smile Izumi shoots the blonde as she heads off to resume her practice. Almost.

Nazuna hesitantly opens her eyes only to be met with striking crimson irises and golden blonde hair that could only be hers; but this face is imperfect, so unlike her own and yet so similar. The mirror of her moves back slightly to reveal a blue and white sailor uniform, adorned with countless pins and bows. Who is this? Nazuna opens her mouth, but the other girl presses a finger against her lips and shushes her. This version of her is... smiling, so widely and freely in a way Nazuna could never imagine on her own stiff features. Her mirror image pulls her into a tight hug. "It's... gonna be scary. But it'll be worth it. You made it. You're not Itsuki's doll anymore. You can be your own person." The girl pulls away and gives her one last teary-eyed smile. "And I am so proud of you."
