Pinterest has started its censorship uptick.

I was saving screenshots on there that were posted from Tumblr, Twitter, and Instagram about the current political climate on a private board and every. single. one of them got taken down for “Adult Content” and “harmful behavior.”

You know how I know it’s censorship in full? The private board I have of literal nude poses and art sketches for pose references and anatomy practice and everything that got dinged for “Adult Content” got reinstated.

Which means that every single one of those got viewed by a person and deactivated or reactivated based on what they saw. So, apparently political screenshots are a no and full nudies are a yes based on the manual violation managers.

I’m currently testing to see if they can be appealed.

All screenshots and posts about how current USA politics are affecting the country. About Trump and Ellon Musk. About wage gapes and the struggles people are going through. About how the TikTok ban was a staged incident to make Trump look like a “hero” and even more about Musk’s Seig Heil. All deactivated for Adult Content or harmful behaviors.

Now look at these below. I get they’re blurry, but it should be obvious what they look like. What was done with them?

Reinstated. All of them. In the same week. What the fuck would you call these, Pinterest?

This isn’t even all of them either. I’m a serial pinner. I love looking at art and had no problems. But the day Trump became president again, I’ve been receiving multiple daily pin violations. And only the pins based on current USA politics have been deactivated. Every other one has been reinstated.

Charles has one of the worst entourage known to men with his friends and girlfriend blocking people who call them out left and right.

Lando sucks up to trump and blurts out offensive shit every few weeks.

Lewis hangs out with so many problematic and shitty people.

Daniel is misogynistic and has a weird age gap with his gf.

Carlos is xenophobic and joked about the swastika symbol.

Max’s gf might just be the worst person ever and he’s okay with that.

I still love watching the racing (which is the whole point ig) but I genuinely don’t think i like most of them as people anymore. It sucks cause i miss writing fics but I can’t get myself to.

Hey folks, if you see somebody using potential Nazi dogwhistles and they try to act like you're delusional or paranoid or "need a therapist" when you bring it up with them, this person is a Nazi. "Post dogwhistles and gaslight anyone who calls it out" is literally their playbook.

Also, here's some other warning signs to watch out for in addition to potential dogwhistles and the like:

Saying that they "don't like politics."

Apparent ignorance of far right movements, such as QAnon.

Apparent ignorance of Nazis being all over the damn place these days.

Centrist takes effectively saying that all political factions or movements are equally bad, or that all political factions/movements have their good side and are therefore equally valid.

Shallow, dismissive responses to being informed that groups like QAnon exist, such as "weird people..."

I've been watching and researching these fuckers for years and all of this is standard operating procedure for them. Keep your own eyes open and don't let them get any kind of foothold in your communities.

Okay question. If anyone else has seen multiple productions of Cabaret (either live or through recordings), do you prefer ones where the Emcee is Jewish or ones where he's a Nazi? Cuz for me I generally think that playing him as a Jewish owner of an obscene club desperately trying to save his performers is very compelling and sympathetic. But also the one production I watched where he was a Nazi, they did an amazing job of placing him in scenes where he didn't even have lines as just this ever-present reminder of the rise of fascism that every character was living under, which I thought was an equally compelling visual metaphor.

you may think sharing unverified info on social media about an ICE raid is better than ignoring it, like a "just in case" scenario. it is worse. please don't do this. if you are not sure, don't share it.

be disciplined if you are reporting or sharing information on social media about possible ICE raids. THIS IS NOT A NEW THREAT. IT DID NOT START THIS WEEK. (well meaning US citizens with zero current risk from ICE - you may think this is a new threat but it is not.) you are harming people if you share unverified shit. look to the groups that have experience dealing with ICE to understand how to be disciplined.

a rando (who is not at all a cop) started harassing people at a local business asking them for papers in my city. this got blown up online as an ICE raid. people sharing this as an ICE raid is fucking harmful. it was not an ICE raid it was just some rando guy, who did get kicked out. it was not a raid it was not ICE it was not a cop - it was just some fucking aggro white guy.

put aside people's mental health, fake claims will also waste time when people spend time trying to verify them.

it's easy to think you're being helpful by sharing unverified shit. what's really helpful is getting involved with your local immigrant rights group. there are trainings and even free info online.

don't do the other side's job for them. don't spread fear and lies for them. it doesn't matter if you mean well, if you share unverified shit you are doing their work for them! you are creating chaos!

in my city they (the immigrant rights groups) specifically want more US citizens to help as responders, bc they have less risk in interacting with cops/ICE. if this is something you feel passionate about, then seek it out. my city isn't unique, there's stuff going on in your city too.

part of the problem is that the orgs who do trainings like "Know Your Rights" for immigrants and undocumented people understandably do not focus on US citizens in getting the word out. so if you are a US citizen you may not be aware of the groups doing work - who have BEEN doing work - in your community. some of them will have trainings for being a responder.

No, I was not disappointed by how Jason was written in the comics in post crisis. Even when written by authors who just could not grasp the depth of his character (let alone a consistent plot), I can’t say I disagreed with him! He’s compelling and has the kind of magnetism and self-awareness most other characters lack.

What I do find mildly disappointing however (tbh Idc, it’s not my brain), is the ever-increasing number of self-appointed social justice warriors of fiction with a prominent lack of critical thinking skills casually wandering into the tag acting like they have some grandiose point to make that will sway us misguided Jason fans into seeing the ultimate truth; that we actually should not enjoy the canon version of our favorite fictional character because of xyz sins, and that any characteristic he had was actually made up.
