Navia x female reader
The wind in Fontaine always carried a distinct scent, a blend of the salty sea and the fragrance of blooming wildflowers that bordered the cliffs. Y/N loved it here; the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to forget the worries of the world. However, today, her heart was racing, not because of the idyllic surroundings, but due to her companion, Navia.
Navia, the ever-enthusiastic and kind-hearted girl, had invited Y/N to explore a hidden cove she'd discovered recently. As they walked side by side, Navia's golden hair shimmered in the sunlight, matching the glint of excitement in her eyes. Y/N found herself stealing glances at her, unable to resist the allure of Navia’s vibrant energy.
"So, what do you think?" Navia asked, her voice filled with eagerness. "Isn't this place just magical?"
Y/N smiled, nodding. "It's beautiful, Navia. I can see why you love it here."
They arrived at the entrance of the cove, a narrow path that led down to the secluded beach. Navia went ahead, her steps confident and sure. Y/N followed, a bit more cautiously, but with no less enthusiasm. The path was steep, but Navia's presence made Y/N feel safe.
As they reached the bottom, the sight that greeted them was breathtaking. The cove was a hidden paradise, with crystal-clear waters lapping gently at the sandy shore. Jagged rocks framed the small beach, and the sound of distant seagulls echoed softly.
Navia turned to Y/N, her face radiant with joy. "I knew you'd love it! It's our little secret spot now."
Y/N couldn't help but laugh. "Our secret spot, huh? I like the sound of that."
They spent the next hour exploring, collecting seashells and skipping stones across the water. Navia’s laughter was infectious, and Y/N found herself grinning ear to ear. Every now and then, their hands would brush against each other as they bent down to pick up a particularly interesting shell or when they stood close to the water’s edge, gazing at the horizon.
Eventually, they settled on a flat rock overlooking the sea. Navia sighed contentedly, leaning back on her hands. "I could stay here forever," she murmured.
Y/N sat beside her, feeling a sudden surge of courage. "Navia, there's something I've been meaning to tell you."
Navia turned her head, her eyes locking onto Y/N's. "What is it, Y/N?"
Taking a deep breath, Y/N decided to take the plunge. "I really enjoy spending time with you. You make everything feel so special and exciting. I… I think I've developed feelings for you."
Navia's eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, Y/N feared she had made a terrible mistake. But then, Navia's expression softened, and a warm smile spread across her face. "Y/N, I’ve been feeling the same way. I was just too afraid to say anything. I didn’t want to ruin our friendship."
Y/N's heart soared at Navia's words. "Really? You mean it?"
Navia nodded, reaching out to take Y/N's hand in hers. "Of course, I do. You’re amazing, Y/N. Being with you makes me so happy."
Y/N felt tears of relief and joy welling up in her eyes. "Navia…"
Navia squeezed her hand gently. "No more words, Y/N. Just this moment."
They sat in silence for a while, simply holding hands and watching the waves. The sun began to dip below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the water. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
As the first stars appeared in the sky, Navia turned to Y/N, her expression thoughtful. "We should probably head back before it gets too dark."
Y/N nodded, but neither of them made a move to get up. They were too wrapped up in each other's presence, savoring the newfound closeness.
Eventually, they reluctantly stood and began the climb back up the path. The journey seemed shorter this time, their hearts lighter and their spirits buoyed by their shared feelings. When they reached the top, the moon was already shining brightly, casting a silvery light over the landscape.
Navia walked Y/N back to her home, their hands still intertwined. When they reached Y/N's door, they paused, reluctant to part ways.
"Thank you for today, Navia," Y/N said softly. "It was wonderful."
Navia smiled, her eyes sparkling in the moonlight. "Thank you, Y/N. For everything."
There was a brief, charged moment of silence before Navia leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Y/N's cheek. Y/N's breath hitched, her heart skipping a beat.
"Goodnight, Y/N," Navia whispered, her lips lingering close to Y/N's skin.
"Goodnight, Navia," Y/N replied, her voice barely more than a whisper.
Navia turned and walked away, glancing back once with a smile that made Y/N's heart flutter. Y/N watched her go, her hand touching the spot where Navia's lips had brushed her cheek. She felt a warmth there that seemed to radiate through her entire being.
As she stepped inside, Y/N knew that her life had just changed in the most beautiful way. She had found something special with Navia, something she hoped would grow into a love as deep and boundless as the ocean they had shared today.

𝑃𝑅𝑂𝐿𝑂𝐺𝑈𝐸 — TABLETOP TROUPE CUTIES 𝑅𝐸𝐷 𝐿𝐼𝑁𝐸𝑆 — lyney x f!reader smau
𝑆𝑌𝑁𝑂𝑃𝑆𝐼𝑆 —
Second year of university should've been everything you thought of it - more studying with human interaction sprinkled throught... What it definitely wasn't supposed to be was an investigation saga where one of your friends goes missing out of nowhere
“Charlotte, I swear to heavens— slow down!” You did your best to catch up to the girl whose excitement turned her walking speed up to an 11. Hearing your pleas, she stopped turning around so you could join her.
“Sorry!” She scratched her cheek lightly. “I’m simply too excited about the club days! You can simply see articles writing themselves.” You sighed, finally managing to get to her.
Charlotte had become your friend, the moment you stepped into your shared room. Whoever had thought that putting the same major students together was a genius! The flow of inspiration shared between the two of you was simply amazing and boosting each other to constantly do better.
While at first, you had found her personality to be overwhelming, as the first days of university had happened you managed to get used to her energy levels. You would never be able to match them… but at least it was the thought that had counted.
“We’re here!” She stopped before one of the rooms, dubbed “Table Troupe Club”. You’ve known of the existence of what it entailed… But you still racked your brain at the explanation of your roommate choosing this club specifically.
“Why this club?” You asked confusion in your tone. “I’m sure there are other clubs that would be more beneficial towards your studies, than a role-playing game”
“For starters, it sounds like a lot of fun!” She put her hands on her hips, as she began explaining. “Besides, being a stellar journalist means you need to be well-versed in multiple genres.”
Charlotte was correct in her reasoning — to create good pieces, especially reviews, you needed to know your source material. Inaccuracy was the first step to losing your job, after all.
“Oh it is a ton of fun, trust me!” A high-pitched voice made the two of you suddenly become aware of your surroundings. It belonged to a blonde with the most beautiful curls you'd ever seen. “Would you like to try it out?”
After agreeing, you quickly learn that she was called Navia. Thanks to some chit-chat, you’ve learned that she ran the club alongside a friend of hers.
“Is this your first year here?” She asked, setting the two of you up with teacups and freshly brewed tea. Charlotte answered for the two of you, mentioning how you were both studying journalism.
“While it’s a challenge to throw yourself into this career, I feel like there’s still undiscovered horizons of tasteful journalism.” You said, thinking of all those times when journalists were out of line. That was the last kind of them you wanted to become.
“Admirable.” A lower voice said, bringing out some dice. “Nowadays, all you seem to hear is about journalists overstepping their boundaries,” Clorinde said, taking her seat at the central spot of the table — as the person running the game.
Navia seemed to agree with you, humming while placing some snacks in the reach of your hands. “Hopefully one day I’ll be able to read one of your articles.” She smiled.
This lovely moment was disturbed by the slam of a door, and a girl quickly shutting it behind her.
“O-oh.” She said, awkwardly. “Sorry— I didn’t realise anyone was here…” She whispered while backing herself into a position that allowed her to get out of the room.
“Are you alright? Do you need any help?” Navia walked up to her, keeping her distance to not scare her further. The girl shook her head, muttering something so quietly, that none of you managed to catch it.
“It’s just… loud outside.” She sighed, her body finally showing signs of calming down. “I thought I could take a breather in a quiet room...”
“You’re very welcome to stay with us,” Navia said, smiling from ear to ear. “We’re much more quiet compared to some of the people outside.” With that, it seemed like the girl was finally composed enough to agree.
Thanks to this, in some way grandiose, entrance… it was the five of you in the club room right now. Navia was still attending to her host duties, talking more about the concept behind the making of the club and such.
“Oh, Miss.” She turned to the latest guest. “Can I interest you in some tea?”
At the simplest mention of the beverage, her ears perked up. She has now taken her place at the table, next to you. “I’m Lynette.” She said. “Tea would be lovely, thank you”.
Navia poured a cup of tea for Lynette, who accepted it with a quiet "Thank you." The room settled into a comfortable atmosphere, each person finding their place in this newly formed group.
"So, are you ready to dive into the world of role-playing games?" Clorinde asked, her purple eyes sparkling with the upcoming challenge. “I’ll make sure to go easy on you since it’s your first time playing”
Charlotte’s eyes sparkle with the same energy that had brought you here in the first place. "Absolutely! I can't wait to see what this is all about. ”
You nodded in agreement, feeling a sense of anticipation. "I'm ready to give it a try.” Lynette also mentioned that she was ready to participate.
Navia clapped her hands together. “Wonderful! Let's get started then.”
Clorinde began explaining the basics of the game, detailing the roles and rules. The more she spoke, the more you understood Charlotte’s excitement. This wasn't just a game; it was a chance to tell a story, to explore new perspectives and thus expand your horizons as a journalist.
"Now, let's create your characters," Clorinde said, handing out sheets of paper and pencils. "This is where you get to decide who you want to be in this world."
You glanced at Charlotte, who was already scribbling furiously, her mind clearly racing with ideas. Lynette, on the other hand, seemed more reserved, carefully considering each choice before committing it to paper.
As you began to fill out your own character sheet, you found yourself getting lost in the possibilities. What kind of person would you be in this fictional world? What skills and traits would define you? It was a liberating experience, allowing you to step outside of your everyday life and explore new facets of your imagination.
"All set?" Clorinde asked after a while, looking around the table.
Everyone nodded, the energy in the room charged with anticipation.
"Great. Now, let's embark on an adventure.”
Clorinde wove a tale that drew you in from the first sentence. You found yourself fully immersed in the game, navigating challenges and making decisions that would shape the course of your journey. Charlotte's infectious enthusiasm kept the momentum going, while Lynette's quiet determination added a layer of depth to the group dynamic.
Navia, true to her role as host, made sure everyone felt included and engaged. Her character has taken a supportive role, giving the three of you to experience the world that Clorinde was creating. They must’ve played together a lot — their energy was truly in sync.
As the session progressed, you lost track of time, caught up in the excitement and camaraderie. It was only when Clorinde called for a break that you realised how much time had passed.
"This is truly amazing," Charlotte said, her eyes shining. "I knew that Tabletop Troupe was fun, but I didn’t realise it was this fun!”
You nodded, feeling a sense of contentment. “You’re a remarkable storyteller, Clorinde.” She acknowledged your compliment with a “thank you.”
Lynette, who had been mostly quiet, finally spoke up. "Thank you for letting me join. This has been... really nice."
Navia smiled warmly. "You're always welcome here, Lynette. We're glad to have you.”
As you sipped your tea and munched on snacks, you felt a deep sense of connection with the people around you. This club, with its mix of creativity and collaboration, has given you a new perspective on storytelling. Charlotte was absolutely right earlier with her views on expanding your knowledge leading to becoming better at capturing your thoughts.
While you couldn’t put it to the test at that exact moment, it reminded you of the childhood wonders that made you want to become a journalist in the first place.
The day ended with the three of you joining the club, as well as exchanging contacts. This day was just the beginning of a new adventure — both in a world created by your shared storytelling, and also your journey of becoming a fully-fledged journalist.

Fontaine Archon Quest Act 1 + 2 Spoilers beneath the cut!!! 👾 anon and 🎺 anon i responded to you here :) (Also lots of talking about Arlie because I LOVE HER)
I've also gone through Lyney and Lynette's character stories/voice lines regarding Arlecchino (and a rough translation of Freminet's) and I completely agree! To be completely honest she seems more nicer than I thought she'd be. Of course, she's still strict and evil but she still has standards and seems to care for the siblings to some extent. One of the lines I found most interesting was "Perhaps the most amazing aspect of Lyney's Founding Day magic show was its ability to have even "Father" lay down her heavy burden and enjoy a brief moment of familial love." I didn't expect her to have such a close connection with the siblings. Plus, when she denied giving Lyney a Delusion and also allowed Lynette to keep a box of cats? Loved that. She can be cruel and mean but she does have some sort of heart left. Not to mention Arlie's confirmed to be from Fontaine. I hope we learn her real name soon! Totally with you there with her being soft only for reader ❤️ She has the ability to be kind but expresses it in perhaps an unconventional way. Even when she's being soft she doesn't know exactly how to act. Really looking forward to her in-game appearance!!
HELP I WAS ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE😭😭 Saved for months with absolutely no regrets. Currently saving for Arlie as well! I wish you luck on your primogem saving ❤️❤️
FR I LOVE THE SIBLINGS SOOO MUCH 😭💖💖 (Freminet was robbed of screentime though) AND YES ARLECCHINO I LOVE HER 😭 Ugh I can totally imagine that <3 Arlie shows her kindness in a stern and strict way but you're the complete opposite. You can't fathom being cold to these little cuties! You're the affectionate one and while Arlie does scold you a bit about spoiling them too much she can't get too mad because at least you can handle all the mushy stuff which she cannot do very well. I'm now brainrotting about the kids seeing you and Arlie argue and becoming scared for your relationship and trying to get the two of you to reconcile 😭 I'm literally bouncing in excitement for 4.1 i want to see her so bad!!
Moving on to me just talking about the quests. Did anyone else feel a bit upset at Traveler for how they treated Lyney and Lynette at the end?? I did considering everything the twins went through. I understand the Traveler not trusting the Fatui but they were literally holding onto Childe's Vision in that moment?😭 Besides that little piece, these two Archon quests were really solid and lots of fun. Was also surprised how many serious topics were put into it too. Usually they leave the dark stuff for side/world quests.
Navia. Definitely an amazing character i loved her in the quests. Really beautiful, great personality, and i love her two bodyguards. Her voice while yelling at Neuvillette was really raw 🥺 Also loving Furina a lot. I didn't expect her to be insecure of herself. Seems like her confidence is just a facade for her people's sake. Y'all already know how I feel about Neuvillette haha i didn't expect him to be so emotional but I'm loving him so much! (I love everyone lemme just stop repeating myself 😭)
But damn being dissolved into water is so grim 😭 Imagine just being Fontanian and all of a sudden you learn you could simply dissolve and no one would ever know. I'd literally be so scared that i could die at any time 😭
EDIT: I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT TO TALK ABOUT CHILDE IM SO DONE. IM SO SORRY CHILDE LOVERS I GOT TOO SWEPT BY ARLIE. Anyway. Childe was so freaking cute. He is the kind of guy who would tell you every little detail no matter how minuscule it is about his siblings. Teucer told him about something that happened to him? Okay now you're getting the same story but more drawn about and longer because Childe can't help babbling about his family.
I know people are clowning on Childe for getting beat by Neuvillette but give my man some credit 😭 He managed to scratch A DRAGON THATS IMPRESSIVE OKAY.
#smooches talks#👾 anon#🎺 anon#the archon quests were an absolutely joy to play i felt really into the story!#just paimon stop talking after every dialogue please 😭

The Navia Arc
A quick story of how hard I simp for characters I like and I’m now a Navia main.
It all began with this
That smile, that damn smile...
From then on, all my saving plans were set.
There were, however, some obstacles in the way. 4.0 Arrived in an elegant manner and I was primo-less. The version featuring Lyney, Lynette and Freminet as the first playable members of the Fontaine cast, a flashy show and powerful kits backed up by the first Archon Quest and a Story Quest were strong enough to sell the trio and attempt to sway away my primogems. But when I least expected it, I saw her again.
Source: Fayato.
She swayed me back (obligatory mention to detective paimon, I loved that bit). Not only she helped us defend Lyney, but she also had a big role during the Secon Archon Quest, settling her as one of the characters I wanted the most from this Fontaine roster.
But there was a problem, I had no Idea of where she was going to be released, and there was a certain character I had to get.
Because, you see, I love Hydro 5 stars; ever since Childe’s release, the hydro characters have been winning hard when we talk about visual effects. The water particles are one of the best effects this game has to offer, and every single new 5 star just does it better. I’m grateful to the possibilities that Childe opened for future hydro releases, and up to this point I am set on collecting every single hydro woman.
You see where I am heading, but for now, let’s talk about version 4.1.
It was the hardest obstacle to my savings, to put it simply. We learned a lot about the Fortress of Meropide and Wriothesley, we're okay in that department; but it also put a certain judge under my radar: Neuvillete was a character I wasn’t interested, but the more I met him the more I liked him; his story quest is, up to this point, my favorite of the Fontaine series and it took every ounce of strength to not pull for him. 4.1 ended and my primos were safe, with a bit less than 170 pulls in the savings, it was time for 4.2.
Aaaand I pulled for Furina on the first day.
I had a couple of reasons to not do it, but I did it. She’s a 5 star hydro woman, I can’t go back on my word; I don’t pull for archons, but she isn’t one; I failed the 50-50 to Keqing, now I have Furina guaranteed; that was a mess, but I don’t regret it, Furina grew on me ever since her appearance in the first archon quest. She’s such a good character that I have nothing bad to say about her.
However, when all was said and done, my savings where in the dumps. The Starglitter and the new region were my only hope. It was time to read leaks and prefarm her materials (despite never doing it before), farm primos… and get a welkin.
It kind of worked out, almost exactly 16k primogems and 30 pity meant I could at least get Navia, but whenever I try to simp I go for the weapon too (and this one is an axe for heaven’s sake, of course I wanted it). There’s something I haven’t told you, and that is I tend to lose my 50-50.
Cue the night of Navia’s arrival, and my first 50-50 win of the year.
All that simping and rituals worked! She was home, and I could try to go for the axe, even if I failed, it meant I would get a Mistplitter, and we know that weapon is really good. There was nothing to lose… Wish x10. Raise pity. Golden flash.
Two Verdicts one after the other.
The public howled, my heart skipped a beat, celebration trumpets on the distance. It was bliss.
And then my brain wanted more, trying to max my sucrose (at the time C2) constellations, that meant to spend 30-ish more wishes using the starglitter, resulting in 5 Candace (Previously C0), no Sucrose, but a second (third) golden flash.
I won a second 50-50, and am now an owner of C1 Navia.
It’s settled, I am now a Navia main. Click, level her up to 90, click, maxing talents as much as I can, click, click, max her weapon, refine it because why not, and it was time to do her Story Quest.
It was amazing. Navia’s character progressed and showed us how she fights despite her recent losses, showing why she’s the leader of Spina di Rosula. Her character shone in the best way possible and her resilience is inspiring.
After doing the story quest, there was just one more thing to do, get her BiS Artifacts and make her a solo beast.
Nevermind, that was the worst domain experience I’ve ever had since farming for Xiao. These three weeks were hell, I tell you. That domain hates everybody, but here and there I could scrap some nice substats and get lucky rolls. I need a break, though, and it’s a good time to focus on leveling up other characters now that her banner is ending.
Current standing, she still hits hard so I don't complain.
Waiting for her was worth it, and I’ve been having a blast all this time. In the future, I will come back to her domain and get her better stats, and who knows? Maybe I’ll try and get her second constellation too.

Navia Week, Day 2: Rain
Juvia frowned as she looked out the window into the drowning” city of Magnolia. All things considered, today was actually a very good day. She’d finally come to accept that her former “Gray-sama” was never going to return her feelings, and he’d even agreed to remain a good friend despite her past obsession with him. But that didn’t mean Juvia remained single this day; the reason things ended amicably at all had been due to the “interference” from Gray’s rival, who pointed out the Ice Make Wizard hadn’t exactly been any less rude to her, even if he wasn’t obligated to return her feelings.
And the whole reason Natsu-san intervened was because he… cared about Juvia. Not “just” as a friend – the Dragon Slayer claimed she was precious to him, and hated seeing her miserable. As she reflected on it, this didn’t come as a huge surprise. In the past several months, he’d been hanging out with her more, doing his best to learn about her and her feelings about everyone in Fairy Tail, her feelings about the jobs and the clients. Natsu-san was… highly curious about her, for reasons that eluded Juvia for a long time. Before long, he’d wormed his way into her heart, and she was touched at his support when she settled things with Gray.
Which is why Juvia wanted to give a relationship with him a chance. It’s not like Natsu-san was a secret romantic… rather, he was the opposite of that. Juvia had to break the concept of dating down for him, though the firebreather seemed to have a rough grasp of it, hesitantly pointing out some of his own actions that he’d done with her, like supporting her. She suspected Natsu-san would be the type to learn by doing, so they’d be trying out a date that evening…
… That is, if the rain ever cleared up.
“Man, it’s still raining cats and dogs out there?” Cana obstreperously marveled. She lazily waved about a bottle of booze in the air. “Oi, Juvia! You sure you’re not depressed about Gray?!”
Juvia huffed at the drunk’s blunt question. Like she hadn’t heard that all day. “Juvia, are you alright?” “Juvia, do you need someone to lend you an ear?” No, Juvia was not wallowing in sadness, thank you very much. Sometimes, it is not her fault that the outside is unbearable! Sometimes, the rain just happens. It’s something called weather.
The Water mage blinked owlishly as those grumpy thoughts flitted through her head. Huh. She was usually the calm one that didn’t get annoyed easily (at least in most things that didn’t involve Gray, in the past). Natsu-san must have been affecting her more than she had thought in the time their friendship had been blossoming…
And so, the Water mage ignored the drunk, who apparently had downed enough alcohol throughout the day to make even her tipsy. And easily distracted by the likes of Max and Warren. Returning her gaze out the window, Juvia resumed watching the torrential downpour. The water trickling down the window, massive puddles accumulating in the streets, the buildings and street fixtures standing firm despite the amount of water coming down. It might not have been her fault, but she did feel bad about anyone who had plans to go outside today. Water might’ve been her element, but that didn’t mean she was naïve to the negative effects it could have on people, often killing the mood, in her experience.
All those thoughts were put on hold as the Guildhall doors burst open and Natsu entered with greater enthusiasm than usual. He looked soaked to the bone, and his clothes were sticking to his skin, yet the Dragon Slayer had this massive toothy grin on his face.
“What are y’all lazing around in here for?! Haven’t ya seen what’s going on outside!”
Predictably, it was Gray who put a damper on the Pyro’s energy. … Or tried to, at any rate.
“Uh… yeah. ‘Course we noticed the watery hell that is outside, flames-for-brains. It’s why we’re all inside today. Only a crazy person like you would get excited over this freaky weather.” The Ice mage deadpanned. As he stated this, Juvia deflated in her seat over by the window, even as Erza smacked Gray upside the head.
“Gray, be nice. Not everyone gets depressed by this kind of weather.” The redhead berated him. She gave a small smile as she brought a forkful of cake up to her mouth. “I happen to think the pitter-patter of rain is soothing~. The best kind of weather to enjoy my cheesecake.”
Gray rolled his eyes as a loud thunderclap went off overhead.
“Soothing… yeah, right... A light rain is okay, but this stuff is just nuts.”
Erza shrugged her shoulders calmly and chewed her cake happily. Natsu had been on the verge of walking over and slugging the Ice mage for making Juvia look sad, when he thought better of it and simply made his way over to her.
“Whatcha doin’ in here, Juvia? There’s so much water out there, you could have so much fun! I know I would go nuts if it were rainin’ fire~.” The Dragon Slayer gleefully remarked, unknowing or uncaring that if it ever rained fire, people would be much more worked up about it.
Still, Juvia wearily smiled at what she perceived to be an attempt to cheer her up.
“Thank you for the offer, Natsu-san, but Juvia would rather stay in here for now…” Juvia mumbled as she rested her chin on the table and sighed.
“But what about our date?” Natsu cocked his head at the bluenette. The Water mage sweatdropped at the innocent question.
“Of course Juvia still plans to go out with Natsu-san regardless of weather, but it’s still a bit early from when we planned to go out…” Juvia mused. “If it doesn’t clear up in a couple hours, we can have our date here.”
Natsu frowned at the resignation in the Rain Woman’s voice, and slowly took ahold of her wrist. Juvia’s eyes widened briefly, suspecting she knew what was coming, and wasn’t disappointed when Natsu ran out of the Guild, full tilt.
“Seeyaguyslater!” Natsu bade his Guildmates farewell, while his new girlfriend protested quite loudly.
“W-WAAAIIITTT! NATSU-SAAAN!”
… Too little, too late. They were out the doors before she could finish that protest, and only came to a stop a few blocks away from the Guild, when Juvia had had enough and extricated herself from the Pyro’s grip, thanks to the downpour loosening his grip on her. Despite the waspish glare Juvia was giving him, Natsu turned to face her with a gigantic grin plastered on his face. The Rain Woman huffed at his seeming disrespect for her wishes.
“Natsu-saaan! Juvia said she didn’t want to come outside!” Juvia sobbed and tugged both sides of her drenched hair in frustration. “It’s going to take Juvia hours to prepare for the date again… Juvia needs to dry off.”
To her annoyance, Natsu placed hands on his hips and waved off her concerns dismissively.
“Drying off never takes long!”
“That may be the case for you, Natsu-san, but Juvia is not a Fire Wizard!” Juvia growled as a tick mark pulsated on her forehead. Natsu just gave a carefree laugh.
“Erza has me dry her off whenever we take baths together~! She says it even makes her skin look a million times better!” Natsu admitted without a hint of shame. Juvia stared blankly at him in disbelief. She honestly thought that was just something the Pyro did with Erza and Gray when they were kids…
Shaking her head with a furious blush and steam coming out of her ears, Juvia sharply turned away with a haughty sniff.
“W-Well… even so! Juvia still needs time to make herself look beautiful for Natsu-san!” She truly cared about his opinion of her.
“Honestly? I think you look great any day, Ju-chan~.” Natsu beamed while she had her back to him; he was apparently oblivious to the effect his words were having on her. “You can wear all the nice clothes and perfumes you want, but I think if you’re too busy puttin’ that stuff on, ya lose time havin’ fun~. You don’t need to worry about keeping me interested or anything. I wanna spend more time with you than just ‘waiting for you to get ready’~.”
Juvia shivered in pleasure as waves of happiness washed over her. Unless you intimidated or scared him, Natsu-san very rarely lied to your face. When he spoke, it was from the heart, and she felt warm and gooey all over from his words alone! She shakily turned back around to face the Dragon Slayer, and then lunged straight at him with the biggest smile on her face.
“Natsu-san…!” Juvia gushed as she looped her arms around Natsu’s neck and nuzzled their faces together. Both of them were numb to their drenched state at this point, and Juvia wanted nothing more than to just cuddle with the pink-head, regardless of setting. The hug felt a million times better, as Natsu wrapped his arms around her waist and held her tight. He pressed their foreheads together rand gave a smile that melted Juvia’s heart even more.
Ironically, not long after that, the rain began to taper off, and the clouds parted overhead. Juvia was a little too mesmerized by the Dragon Slayer’s touch and body heat to notice, but a nudge from Natsu did get her to look up, and she gasped in amazement at the sight of a massive rainbow over Magnolia.
“Natsu-san! It’s beautiful…!” Juvia murmured without thinking twice about it. Natsu chuckled even as they stayed in their embrace.
“See? Rain ain’t so bad~.” The Dragon Slayer then rested his head on her shoulder, smiling that infectious smile that Juvia was really growing to love with all her heart. “Feelin’ better now?”
As Juvia’s gaze was still fixed on the multi-colored spectacle, she could only nod and smile widely.
“Yes… Yes, Juvia is very happy, Natsu-san~.” Juvia squeezed Natsu with all her strength, garnering a slight wheeze from her new boyfriend.
“Juvia…! Can’t breathe…!”
Yet Juvia could only giggle at his discomfort.
“Oh, Natsu-san~. Juvia is never letting go~.”
Well, it wasn’t quite meant in a literal sense, but if the paling of Natsu’s skin was any indication, or his face slowly going purple from lack of oxygen, he seemed to think it was…

Day 26: Luarca to Navia
Date: June 14, 2017 (Wednesday) Starting Point: Luarca (Asturias) Ending Point: Navia (Asturias) Distance: 17.5 kilometers Time: 5 hr 15 min Difficulty Level: 1/10 Before I begin today's post, I have to say this was a perfect day of walking and we are both happy with our current situation. We woke up with the rest of the Albergue, strapped on our packs, and headed up the mountain, out of Luarca. One thing I haven't mentioned in my last few posts is that Mom's right leg has been bothering her for three days or so, and it hasn't been getting better. On uphills she was fine, but it was the rocky descents that were really painful. But it was bearable pain, nothing too serious, and we hoped it would simply fade away. In fact, today she had very little pain leaving town and we were amazed that it was so flat! We passed through quiet country villages, farms, and open pastures. While the clouds made picture-taking difficult, the landscape was beautiful and we could always see the ocean on the horizon. The ascent from Otur was our singular difficulty today, but it was still pretty gradual. What's more, part of the descent was paved with what we dubbed "angel turf" (some kind of soft, artificial rock), because it was heavenly! I began to get a headache from lack of caffeine, but arrival in Villapedres cured that problem, offering €3.50 pilgrim breakfasts. Since Navia was only 6 kilometers away, we held a leisurely pace through Piñera and other small towns. We got to Albergue San Roque, newly opened this year, at 12:30. Aurelio was very kind and even gave us pens as a welcome gift! After showers and relaxation, Mom started to realize that her leg wasn't improving. We considered our options and decided it was best to talk to a doctor. Aurelio immediately called the Centro de Salud, and our doctor arrived within minutes (in an ambulance no less!). He determined it was probably tendinitis but took us to the hospital as a precaution. We waited about two hours in the Hospital de Jarrio, getting our first real taste of the Spanish healthcare system. Finally, the nurse called us back and Mom got her X-ray scans. Result? Tendinitis for sure, but a minor case that would go away with rest. While this completely changes our Camino, I'm glad the problem got addressed and we could plan accordingly. After all, flexibility is one thing every good pilgrim must have! So upon returning from the hospital, I booked a pensión in Ribadeo where we plan on resting for the next two days. If Mom's leg pain is gone, we will take a bus to Baamonde (the 100 kilometer threshold) and finish our Camino from there. Like I said, we didn't anticipate this issue, but we are taking everything in stride. We will see what happens, but for tomorrow it looks like Ribadeo (and beautiful, green Galicia) will be our destination! From Navia, Spain on June 14, 2017
