Nav Hexan. The writing for this route was phenomenal. He is by far one of my most favorite love interests through not only this app but the myriad of others I've played. The theme of learning how to bring someone else into your life when you're deeply scarred and used to being alone is something that I've always been fond of, because it's deeply personal to me and my story.

Hey Lovestruck fandom, get this.

Next on my "routes I didn't read but I might as well go back and read because they're finished and other people said they were good" list is Nav Hexan. I really like him! He's not someone I, personally, would like to date, but I'm happy to see MC and he be happy.

Also I'm like, low-key fascinated by his biology. His hair is leaves. His ears twitch to express emotion. He has no nipples. The narration implies he has a penis-like appendage, or at least something that can "join" with MC.

But those orange patches. What is the truth.

Going in, I thought the orange was just more skin with different pigmentation. Or something like vitiligo. But then this mini-CG appeared:

And it looks like...scales? MC comments that Nav's species "runs hot" and heat simmers out of the orange patches especially. Like, they're designed to release heat? That makes sense with scales, yes?

His back looks like goldfish scales in this CG:

But then in this mini-CG, the orange looks like fur??

Which would be adorable, in my opinion. Fine, little hairs that slow down the heat release, but don't stop it entirely.

But MC doesn't mention little hairs when she's embracing Nav, and hair is something notable. It increases the Cuddle Factor. Nav's skin also appears shiny sometimes, and hair that fine wouldn't shine necessarily. I don't think anyway. It's been awhile since bio class.

My friend speculated that maybe instead of tiny fur, he has tiny feathers AND scales, like the dinosaurs. What do you think? Help solve the mystery!
