Oh oh additional thought abt Natsumi joining whatever team she wants or if she would even play soccer and this is just like... A thought???

Pretty sure Sae and Shidou would parent Natsumi way better than they were raised (considering Sae went to Spain at such a young age with the support of his parents or if you want it to be angsty, his parents pushed him to go because of expectations. For Shidou, I still like the hc that he felt trapped in a very conservative home that's why he found his freedom in soccer and styled himself that way as a form of rebellion or smthing). But, I'd like to think that maybe there's some sort of pressure on Natsumi's end because her dads are like one of the most talented players in Japan and she also wants to make them proud by playing soccer and joining all the blue lock programs and even joining the next generation of the program. In her mind, it would make them very happy, but regardless of what she chooses to do, Sae and Shidou would still be very happy and proud.

They just don't want their girls to feel like they never had a choice. Mostly Sae would have that sentiment because of his childhood, and Shidou would be super supportive, like ALL OUT because of his childhood too. All in all, they're just parents doing their best to provide a much better childhood to their kids.

She'd also have this great conversation with Rin when it comes to the topic of leaving her parents' shadow. There might be a point that Natsumi would use "Natsumi" on her jerseys and not "Itoshi" so that she won't be overshadowed by her dads and her uncle. Ya know, it's gonna be a conversation in the household one day. Lmao. I bet Sae would understand why she'd do that tho.

IT TURNED OUT TO BE LONGER THAN EXPECTED HAHAHAHAH

They definitely would parent their kids a lot differently. Like Sae would push both Natsumi and Hime to find as many things to enjoy as possible, since he got super focused on soccer it’s the only thing he really knows. Im so torn on the type of home Shidou came from, like how he developed this intense need to prove his existence, and leave something behind. I’m a bit partial to the idea that his family was just so passive in their own lives that he chose not to live like them (I have so many passing thoughts that I feel like eventually they’re gonna contract each other).

Natsumi 100% feels the pressure, like even before she was able to realize what it was. Part of me feels like she never really cared, cause she wants to live a life that makes her happy. But if she were to do soccer and enter Blue Lock, it would be endless comments about her parents, and comparisons. Which would probably give her a mental road block of sorts, where she feels like she has to live up and surpass expectations. Some people would also think she should be a midfielder instead of a striker, despite her really having more striker potential. She’d probably end up becoming very angry during her time at Blue Lock, and a part of her would grow to hate soccer for a time. But she’d keep playing cause she’s a great player, and everyone tells her it’s a waste of her talent to not choose soccer.

I also feel like in many ways Hime would feel an even worse pressure. She isn’t super athletic, she’s not really into sports that much. She loves to learn as much as she can, and because of this she’s felt a disconnect from her parents, and sister. She was a ballerina for a bit, and she loved it, but she stopped cause she felt like it wasn’t a worthy path compared to soccer. There was always this feeling that she wasn’t good enough. Anyone who knew about her parents would immediately interrogate her about what sports she was into and if she would join her sister one day. A majority of them would laugh in some way when she mentions enjoying ballet. She’d internalize all of this, and throw herself into the only thing she’s good at, cause if she can’t be the most athletic in the room, she’s gonna be the smartest. I also think this would all build until the moment Natsumi gets her Blue Lock invitation, Hime would feel like she’s completely disconnected and basically lose it. Shortly after however her and Sae would have a conversation, and she would unload basically everything. They’d have heart to heart where Sae reassures her that they’re not upset she’s not an athlete, and how happy they are that she’s been able to find her own thing apart from what they do.

Circling back to Natsumi. Her falling back in love with soccer and getting her first name on her jersey would 100% go hand in hand. While Rins experience being associated with his brother hasn’t been completely negative, I feel like if anyone’s gonna understand Natsumi it’d be him. Like obviously if they were to do Blue Lock again the events would be fairly different, mainly they wouldn’t play Japans U-20 team, however I do still think they’d have the 2 week break. And during that time Natsumi would spend almost the whole thing with Rin cause she’s too angry to go home. Eventually Rin would get so fed up cause she’s being a bit annoying being so mad all the time, that he forces the sit down in a way. I feel like they’d all be surprised she’s so upset, since she was always so happy to have the Itoshi name, but they’d understand she wants to truly be her own person.

Over all tho Sae and Ryusei would be endlessly supportive of their girls doing the things that make them happy.

I feel like some of these thoughts are a bit disjointed cause I have general ideas but they’re never in a proper order.

I don’t know if they’d be in the Skibidi Toilet generation, but whatever weird stuff the kids say they’d say it. Natsumi would at least. They would probably check her IPad after this. (I missed my opportunity to draw a small Natsumi teaching Hime to say something stupid 😭😭😭)

Anyway, I had this idea for a minute, but I wasn’t sure how I wanted to use it. Cause I thought it’d be funny as a nightmare sequence for Rin. After he heard a 2nd baby was on the way, he started waking up in cold sweats cause he thought it’d be a 1 to 1 Ryusei copy. (I’ll probably still draw that just cause it’s such a silly idea)

I love older natsumi art, she looks so cool and she would def be a bunch of peoples lesbian awakenings. Also ngl, the idea of a female blue lock just made me think of ego gathering up all the former blue locker's love children and putting them through soccer prison. I will say, I would be really funny if ego did this and natsumi's response was: I'm actually really into [insert other sport].

I like to think Natsumi would be quite popular. At least among the people who don’t know who her parents are, cause I think that comes with its own amount of intimidation. She’s also very dense to other people liking her, but she knows exactly when she likes someone else. God help anyone unlucky enough to catch feelings first.

Ego can’t wait to torment the next generation.

She’d definitely be more into Baseball of the 2, but if she were to enter Blue Lock, it’d be to see why her parents love the sport so much. Cause her main issue with soccer is she hasn’t found anyone who can keep up with her, so soccer is just boring. Being coached since birth by 2 really talented players has its drawbacks.

I have a few times, the idea of them being Girl parents in every universe is really tempting, but I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to draw a male Natsumi, and more Fem RyuSae (I love them so much). I love the name Natsuto for him tho. I know he’d differ just a bit from Natsumi I’m just not super sure just how yet.

Right now! (Sorry this took so long I kept getting distracted 😭😭😭)

I had a lot more planned until I realized just now long that would’ve taken. It ended up being more one sided to Momo. I’ve come to the conclusion that Momo would be a Tsudere, I simply couldn’t resist. I don’t think these really come off as super romantic 😭😭😭. But I’ve got more ideas if y’all want more.

I’ve also figured out what type of character fills the annoying bastard player role for Natsumi, I’ve just gotta draw her.

You should give their next baby darker skin even though shidous is a tan it would be really cute with the contrast

I honestly hadn’t considered it. Mostly in part cause I always imagined Natsumi getting a tan as she grew up since she’d play outside so much.

Im using Ryuseis blonde as his hair color, (even though I’m like 80% he bleaches his hair I didn’t want to think about what color his natural hair would’ve been). Im Fairly set on certain details, like green eyes, and the light eyelashes.

Also I know her nickname (which will be the same she has everyone call her) is Hime, I’m trying to reverse engineer a proper first name for her, but we’ll see what I can do.

I wanted to test it out to see how it’d look, and she turned out super cute. She definitely won’t stay a crybaby when she grows up, she was just a very delicate child.

But I dunno, I’ll definitely keep it in mind, and if a lot of people like the darker skin, I’ll probably keep it.

More uncle rinrin interactions with natsumi-chan and hime-chan

So I actually had a whole comic I planned out until I realized how much work it would be, so for now I reduced. I’ll circle back when I have more time though.

The abridged version is Hime used to be very scared of Rin (she thought he had a scary face). Natsumi to the rescue though, she was able to help them out, so Hime likes when Rin comes around.

Natsumi passed out first, and Hime didn’t want to be left out so she joined them.

Consider it a side affect of binging the series, but Hime loves My Little Pony. Twilight is her favorite (Rarity is 2nd). Sae and Ryusei 100% spent good money to get her one of those really accurate fan produced plushies. She loves to collect anything Twilight related, doesn’t matter. She also got very excited when Twilight became a princess.

Natsumi really only watches the show cause Hime does, but she still enjoys it, Rainbow Dash is her favorite.

Feels like it turned into a Hime info dump at the end, I just couldn’t help myself.

Would RyuSae be lenient parents or be a bit strict when it comes to school? I think they'd definitely push her a bit with sports, especially if she really does want to do better but i'd love to know how they would feel about an F in math class lmao

So I am of the belief that Sae and Ryusei are truly jocks through and through, so neither of them got good grades. So I don’t think they’d be mad but they would definitely want Natsumi to have passing grades

But Hime is smart enough to make up for all of them so there’s not too much to worry about.

I think this would be the first instance of an F for Natsumi, like she’s never been great at school but she hasn’t failed.
