As far as I can tell, Mount Hope’s social media presence is more or less limited to their mailing list and Facebook.  And as the usebases of tumblr and Facebook are not exactly the circle-iest of ven diagrams, anyone not on their mailing list may not be aware of the Crowdcast streams they’ve been doing.

I started drafting a description of their Crowdcast activity, but my brain is not cooperating with me overly well today, so fuck it.  Their bio on Crowdcast is: “Mount Hope Productions welcomes you to the channel where we hope to continue our hallmark brand of unique entertainments, events and imaginative experiences our fans have come to love.”

My goal with this post was to talk about the concert series they stream on Fridays, or rather today’s performer.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; Nathan Landis Funk’s music is hecking amazing, and though I likely would not have discovered it were it not through the Faire, I love it independently of Faire.  I have quite literally been waiting for the concert series to feature him ever since the concert series began.

I can't believe I missed this on the day it happened, but our own Nathan Landis Funk's EP has been released on all major streaming platforms!   Go give it a listen!  It is poetic, beautiful, and wise, and you'll get to support an independent artist who also happens to be of the PARF family. (Plus the choir vocals on tracks one and four are a bunch of other Faire actors, which is pretty cool.)

Storybook Ball – Medieval Fantasy

On April 22, four PARF music track actors will be performing as a Medieval Quartet at the Please Touch Museum's Storybook Ball.  The Please Touch Museum is super awesome and loads of fun, and the Storybook Ball looks to be worth attending even without the added incentive of Jules Schrader, Ian Agnew, Megan Jones, and Nathan Landis Funk.

....who will apparently be wearing costumes from the Faire.

We have been promised madrigals, unicorn songs, and yodeling.  Try to make it out if you can!  More information here.
