A Little Less Talk, & A Lot More Lovin'
Jay Kelso x Male!Reader
Romantic/Platonic/Unspecified
Pronouns: He/Him
Summary: Both you an Jay skip school, leaving you both home alone in the Forman basement. A little bit of weed and a lot of kissing later, both you and Jay are as high as kites.
TW's/Disclaimers: Making out, Weed, implications/mentions of boners, y/n and Jay being horny ig.
You exhale with a slight cough as you pull the, definitely not rolled properly, joint away from your lips. The basement air was thick with the smell of sweat and weed as you passed the joint off to your boyfriend who was staring down at you, your head resting on his lap.
"How you doin' up there pretty boy?" You look at your boyfriend who has a doped up smile plastered across his face. You were always the more tame one of the group when you guys smoked. Besides Ozzie, whenever he decided to opt out.
"Amazing." He bobs his head a little after he pulls the joint away from his mouth, placing it on the ash tray on the coffee table in front of him. He looks down at you and grins like an idiot. "Hey Handsome."
"Hey Casanova." You laugh. Jay stares at you with a far away look for a moment before leaning down and placing a kiss on your forehead. The kisses then being trailed down to your temple, your nose, and all the way to your lips. You hum into the kiss as he pulls your face closer by the nape of your neck.
You pull away with a whine of complaint coming from Jay. You sit correctly on the couch and look at Jay as you grab his hand, pulling him as a sign to move and straddle your lap. Which wasn't something you did often. Every time, Jay got to embarrassed and flipped you so you were straddling him.
But you wanted to tease him.
Reluctantly, Jay swung one of his legs over your hips. He avoided eye contact with the most absurd head motions, looking anywhere but you. You laughed and moved you hand to his hips, pushing them down so he wasn't hovering. They stayed there when Jay finally looked at you.
Jay didn't like straddling you because it made him feel small. But you did like feeling small. So giving him all the control was well in your favor. As well as his. It took him a second, but after sitting there for a moment and getting comfortable with the situation, you could visibly see Jay's confidence return to his face. His demeanor becoming more cocky and confident.
Jay grabbed your face in his hands, smashing his lips with yours. It was sweet and slow, with just a bit of tongue thrown into the mix. It was as if everything had fallen into place.
You both had only started dating near the end of summer, so 5 months into your guys' relationship, and out of all the kisses you had shared, this one takes the cake. You weren't sure why but something about this one just felt different, more slow and meaningful.
The kisses get heavier the longer it goes on as you hold Jay's hips, his chest pressing against your own. Jay pulls back a second. Only to grin at you and flip you both over.
"You little bitch-"
"Babe, less talking. More kissing." Jay nuzzles his head in the crook of your neck as he sucks and presses kisses to your neck. Not knowing what to do with your hands, you place them in his hair as his hands guide your hips to fully sit down on his lap. His kisses migrate to your lips, soft lips against yours, tongues brushing, and breath heavy.
Half-way through a kiss you hear the sound of laughter and footsteps as the gang comes rushing down the stairs. Both you an Jay quickly jump to separate, each of you grabbing a pillow to place on your lap as you put as much distance between you and him. You on one side of the couch, him on the other.
The gang makes it downstairs and the chatter slowly dies down when they see you both, awkward and red faced. Nikki is the first to say something.
"How are you guys already here? School just let out." She walked over to you guys and took one look at the joint in the ashtray before gasping. "Did you guys skip!" She threw her bag down and sat on the coffee table so she was right in front of you.
"Jay, bro, you skipped without me?" Nate leaned against the couch behind Jay but both of you just sat there frozen in place. Neither removing the pillows that lay in your laps.
Ozzie stepped up and sat in between you and Jay, no shame at all. He sighed and looked at everyone in the room, giving Gwen a knowing look, making them both smile evilly. Ozzie cleared his throat and grabbed both pillows covering yours and Jays laps.
"Observe. Boners."
Nate and Nikki gasped as Gwen and Ozzie smiled wickedly at each other. Both you and Jay stood up quickly as you reach for his hand.
"You want to leave? I think we should leave, let's leave." Jay rambled as you nodded your head, Jay pulling you away and out the basement door.
I DID IT! When I tell you I RAN to make a list and find prompts for Nate and Jay when I finished the series. I remember watching "That 70s Show" with my sister when it was on Netflix and us being so upset when it was removed. :(

Been There All Along (Nate Runck x Reader)
(there are almost no gifs of Nate and that makes me upset)
Fandom: That '90s Show
Pairing(s): Nate Runck x Fem!Reader, Past!Nate Runck x Nikki, Platonic!Gwen Runck x Reader
Trigger(s): some angst, breakup mentions, (seemingly) unrequited feelings, slight Nikki slander (sorry, it's only for the sake of the story), also some Nate's dad slander
Summary: Nate comes to you, one of his best friends, for comfort after Nikki breaks up with him. You console him the best you can without letting your true feelings slip, but you fail when you end up kissing him. This leads to you thinking you ruined your friendship, but luckily, Nate shows up to reassure you that that's not true.
Word Count: 2.09k
Point Place, Wisconsin.
Summer of 1996.
Location: Leia Forman's basement.
Being alone in Forman's basement wasn't a common occurrence, but it did happen on occasion. Like now, for instance. Jay and Leia were out on a date, and so were Nate and Nikki. When things like this happen, you usually have Ozzie and Gwen to hang out with, but today they wanted to sneak into the country club again.
So, it was just you in the basement, laying on the sofa, flipping through a random magazine to pass the time. That was until the one and only Nate Runck wandered in through the door. Instead of the dopey grin that was usually plastered on his face, he had a frown and watery eyes. This caused you to sit up straight on the couch and place your full attention on him.
He barely glanced at you before he spoke.
"Hey."
Just as you were about to ask what happened, the big jock practically threw himself into the seat next to you and laid his head on your shoulder. Instinctively you wrapped your arm around him and rubbed his arm, trying to help him however you could.
"What happened?" You asked him in a concerned whisper.
It took a few moments for Nate to respond, and it killed you seeing him this broken up about whatever was bothering him.
Not lifting his head from your shoulder, Nate mumbled a response.
"Nikki and I broke up."
You momentarily stopped rubbing his shoulder, his answer surprising you. You knew that Nate and Nikki have had a few disagreements lately, but you had no idea this would happen. They both seemed so in love, constantly making out and hooking up. You were tempted to ask Nate why this happened, but knowing how much he must be hurting, you just pulled him into your arms and hugged him.
"I'm sorry, Nate."
Nate hugged you back, squeezing you hard and burying his head into your neck. You always liked when he hugged you, he always felt like a giant, warm teddy bear. But it was hard to enjoy the feeling given the circumstances.
"We were talking about our futures. I wanted to be with her, and follow her to wherever she ended up going to college. And…she said she didn't want me to."
You could feel your shirt getting wet as Nate started crying. The sound broke your heart. You squeezed him tighter, rocking him in your arms to try to soothe him.
"I know you probably won't believe me when I say this, but it will get better."
"When?"
You wished you could give him an answer, one that could make Nate happy again, but you knew that wasn't going to happen. So you settled for an honest answer.
"I don't know."
You hugged him tighter before he pulled away, wiping his eyes with the back of his hand.
"I just loved her so much! I feel like my heart was ripped out of my butt."
You nodded sympathetically while he talked. He leaned forward and buried his head in his hands for a moment.
"Maybe I just didn't try hard enough. I could've tried to be better for her, try to make it work between us."
You immediately shook your heading disagreement.
"Nate, that is so not true! You were trying to make it work, she was the one who wasn't trying! You were a great boyfriend. You were loyal, dependable, sweet..."
You put your arm around his shoulders again to make sure he was paying attention to what you were saying.
"And Nikki is my friend, and she may be smart and everything, but I think she's an absolute dumbass to let you go."
Nate turned his head slightly to look at you, his eyes still glossy. He spoke to you in a slight whisper.
"You really think that?"
"Of course I do! I've known you for years, and I've never met a more amazing person. Any girl in the world would be lucky to have you."
The compliment made Nate give you a hint of a smile, which caused you to smile back.
"Thanks."
You both stared at each other for a little while, your smiles fading the longer you did. You felt some tension grow, and you couldn't help yourself from glancing at his lips. And it might've just been your feelings for him playing tricks on you, but you could've sworn you saw Nate glance at yours.
You weren't sure who began leaning in first, but the next thing you remembered was feeling his lips against yours. The kiss was soft as gentle, and his hand coming up to caress your cheek felt just as sweet.
Nate then abruptly pulled away, pulling you out of the moment and allowing the shock of what just happened to sink in. He then quickly stood from the couch and began walking backwards to the door.
"I, um..."
He stumbled over his words, running a hand threw his hair.
"I've got to go, I um...I need some time to think..."
After nearly stumbling over his own feet, he finally made it out the door, letting you sit with your thoughts.
Though honestly, there was only one through that kept on running through your mind.
'What have you done?!'
1 hour later.
Location: Jay Kelso's bedroom.
"Bro!"
"Bro!"
"Bro!"
"Bro!"
"Bro!"
"Bro!"
"BRO!" "BRO!"
Nate and Jay went back and forth like this for a while after Nate told his best friend what had happened. That is until Jay finally broke the cycle.
"So you are telling me that you and Nikki broke up, and not even an hour later, you and Y/N make out?!"
"You're making it sound worse than it is!"
Jay gave him a look.
"Okay, yeah, it is as bad as it sounds."
Nate let himself fall back on Jay's bed, rubbing his hands down his face in frustration.
"Do you, like, like Y/N now or something?"
"No!"
Jay gave his friend another look.
"...Yeah. Maybe? Dude, I don't know! I'm so confused."
Jay sat beside his friend on the bed, still trying to understand the situation.
"How did this even happen?"
"I don't know, bro. Nikki broke up with me, and I was really upset, so I tried to find Y/N to make me feel better."
Jay made a confused face.
"So you're saying that whenever you're upset, Y/N always makes you feel better?"
Nate nods. "Yeah."
He then makes a confused face and looks towards Jay.
"Do you think that means something?"
5 days later.
Location: Y/N's bedroom
You sat alone on your bed, allowing heartache to consume you. You haven't left the room since that day.
The day you kissed Nate Runck.
You couldn't bring yourself to hang out with the gang after what happened. You didn't know how to keep what happened to yourself. And you didn't know how you would react if you came face to face with Nikki, let alone Nate.
A knock on your window disturbed your train of thought and sent you sitting straight up on your bed. Once you saw it was only Gwen, your heart rate slowed calmed down a bit.
You went over to the window to open it for her, letting her come in.
"You could've just came in through the door."
Gwen shrugged with a smile.
"Eh, this is more fun."
She plopped herself down on the foot of your bed, making herself comfortable.
"So. Why have you been MIA the last few days?"
You didn't want to lie to her, but you also didn't want to answer her question. So you asked one of your own.
"How's Nate?"
"Well, I assume you heard about him and Nikki calling it quits."
You looked down at your carpet and nodded.
"He's pretty bummed about that, obviously. But I can tell that's not the only thing that's bugging him."
You gave her a worried look.
"Did something else happen?"
"You tell me."
You stayed silent, but Gwen kept on talking.
"He misses you. He's worried about you. We all are! I don't know what happened between you two, but you guys need to talk."
You sighed as you talked. "I wouldn't even know what to say."
"It doesn't really matter what you say as long as you actually talk."
You were silent again.
"Come on! You guys need each other! You both are clearly going through things, and whenever that happens, you're there for each other. That's how things have been ever since you guys met!"
You kept your eyes locked on the floor still. You responded with a mumble.
"I'm afraid he's upset with me."
Gwen laughed a bit.
"So? That hasn't stopped you guys from being there for each other."
She sighed and stood up with you.
"Remember when you first met Jay? You were so jealous of him becoming Nate's best friend you started being mean to both him and Nate."
You smiled a tiny bit, reminiscing about those memories as Gwen continued to speak.
"And then Nate got mad at you for being mean to them, so you guys didn't speak for a week. He was a mess without you. Then, his dad was supposed to visit, and then he cancelled last minute."
You remembered how sad you were for Nate, even though you were mad at him at the time.
"I called and told you and you came over right away. You guys hugged and acted like nothing ever happened. And just like that, you were happy with each other again. I don't see why you can't do that now."
You looked back up at Gwen, your eyes a little teary.
"I think this situation is a little more complicated than that."
Gwen put her hands on your shoulders, giving you a reassuring smile.
"You never know unless you try."
15 minutes later.
Location: The Forman's driveway.
You slowly walked towards the Forman household when you saw Nate shooting hoops in the driveway. You could tell he noticed you coming because his eyes lit up a bit.
He gave you a tiny, awkward smile.
"Hey."
You smiled back.
"Hey."
You both stood there awkwardly before speaking at the same time.
"I'm sorry!" "I'm sorry!"
Nate gave you a confused look.
"Wait, why are you sorry?"
You fiddled with your fingers while you spoke.
"I'm sorry for not talking to you. And I'm sorry for kissing you. You were very vulnerable and it was a mistake and I shouldn't have done it."
Nate was silent for a moment, processing your words.
He mumbled nervously. "You think it was a mistake?"
You mumbled back. "Don't you?"
He finally put down the basketball, letting it roll away. He stepped closer to you, acting a bit more confident than before.
"No. I don't."
His response stunned you, making you stare at him with wide eyes.
"It wasn't the best timing, but I'm glad it happened. Y/N, you have always, always been there. For whenever I was sad, whenever I was sick, whenever I was an absolute idiot..."
You wanted to correct him and reassure him that he wasn't an idiot at all, but you wanted to know where he was going with this heartfelt rant.
"No matter how things were, you have always been there for me. And it took me this last week to realize how important you really are to me."
Your eyes began to water at his words. Nate stepped a little closer to you, grabbing your hands in his.
"If you really think that kiss was a mistake, we can forget about it. But I want you to know that it meant something to me. And if you would give me a chance, I would like to give this a shot. Give us a shot."
You launched yourself into his arms and pulled down by the neck for a kiss. He wrapped his arms around your back, happily returning the kiss.
The first kiss you shared had been nice, but the way it happened wasn't the best. You hadn't been sure if the only reason you kissed was because you were both in the heat of the moment. You weren't actually sure if he reciprocated your feelings. But right now, with Nate holding you so close and smiling against your lips, you are finally certain about how he feels.
You've been there for each other all along. And you'll always be there for each other till your dying days.

This is why we fanfiction writers have to fend and feed ourselves and others with just google docs and some sad ideas.
there is something so sad about wanting to read fanfiction about a character in a brand new show because nobody’s written any yet

Dog walks Lead to Confessions
Pairing: Jay Kelso x Forman!reader
Characters: Forman!reader, Kitty Forman, Red Forman, Schatzi Jr, Leia Forman, Donna Forman, Eric Forman, Jay Kelso, Gwen Runck, Nate Runck, Nikki, Ozzie
Warnings: The circle, fluff, Schatzi babies, Kitty and Red as grandparents’ content, Gwen outing Jay’s crush on the reader, Jay and the reader being adorable during the circle, reader definitely knows how to smooze Kitty and Red like her mom (fake crying), the reader being Laurie’s daughter, Dad Kelso calling to say burn to Red and Kitty, reader and Ozzie being besties and making inside jokes because it’s how they show their love, pre-show by like five minutes, reader is protective of Leia
Word Count: 3,142
A/N: I needed something with Schatzi and Schatzi babies’ content and I did something about it. Ozzie and reader have been friends for ages and make these kinds of jokes all the time.
Did I just realize that it’s Kelso and Laurie 2.0 but healthier as I’m close to finishing this? Maybe. Do I regret it? Honestly no
*Laurie realized she wasn’t fit to be a mother and the reader has been living with Kitty and Red ever since
*Reader knows all the kids but never became close to them until now
My favs, thanks for giving me the confidence to write for another fandom lol @myown-worstenemy-2003 @theapangea
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You step through the sliding glass door, ready to close the door when you realize you can’t.
You groan, “Zizi, come on.” The dog continues to sit there, staring back at you. “You know your father was so much better at listening. What happening between your generations?”
“Who’s th- Oh my god! Sweetheart is that you?”
You turn around, smiling widely at your grandmother. “Hi grandma.”
“Oh, sweetie come here.”
“I can’t.”
“Why not? Are you sick? Is your throat hurting? Come here, let grandma take care of you.”
You chuckle, loving her overprotective nature. “It’s not that, grandma.” You glance back at the unmoving dog. “Schatzi Jr. Doesn’t want to corporate today.”
“Oh,” she waves you off, “Schatzi was the same way. Where’d you walk too today?”
“Where do you think?”
“Awz poor baby is just missing his father.” She walks past you, not without giving you a side hug before she picks up your precious little pup. “It’s okay,” she says, using her baby voice. “Isn’t it Schatzi Jr? It’s going to be okay because grandma Kitty is here to save the day.”
You shake your head, “I swear he only likes you.”
“Well, that’s understandable when she treats the dog like it’s a baby.”
You spin around, hugging Red. “Hi, grandpa.”
He smiles, pecking the top of your head before he moves over towards the kitchen table, unfolding his newspaper.
“You know pretty soon the world is only gonna rely on the internet for a news update,” you tell him.
“I’d like to see them try and pry this newspaper from my cold, dead hands.”
You quietly chuckle to yourself, knowing that would be his answer.
“Isn’t it early to be riling up your dear old grandpa?”
“Hey.”
He removes his glasses. “Don’t call me that.”
“You’re right, dear was too nice,” Kitty starts laughing, feeling very proud of her joke.
“Funny. Now, would you please get that damn dog off the counter. I don’t want my breakfast with a side of fleas. Those damn things were hard to get out of the carpet the first time.”
“Schatzi Jr does not have fleas. You take that back, Red Foreman.”
“Please, grandparents.” You stand between the two with your arms out. “Don’t fight with the grandchild in the room.”
“Oh, you’re right, honey. We’re sorry. Right, Red.”
“We fought when Eric was around and he's-” He pauses, realizing what he’s about to say. “We’re sorry,” he apologizes, adding your first name so you know he's serious.
“Mkay, I’m gonna go change before Leia comes over.”
“Okay, honey.”
“She left that damn dog here.”
You hear as the door from the kitchen to the living (and vice versa, depending on where you’re coming from) swings back and forth, beginning to close behind you.
“Red!”
“What?”
“He can hear you,” Kitty says, covering the dog’s ears.
Red looks over the top of his newspaper. “Good.”
-
“Your cousins here!” You walk down the hallway, ready to turn the corner so you can go downstairs when your Aunt Donna stops, taking a deep breath.
“Oh, hey,” she says your name with the same happy attitude she always does.
“Can I help you?”
She shakes her head, “no.”
You ignore her and take the bags out of her hands.
“Oh, thank you. You’re a really big help right now.”
“Why didn’t Leia or Uncle Eric help you?”
She raises a brow before taking the bags from your hands, setting them beside the bed. “I’m glad to see no one’s put up any posters in here.”
“Me too.”
“You don’t even know what Eric’s room looked like before you or Leia were born.”
“Have you met him.”
“Fair enough.”
“Let’s go back downstairs. I wanna say hi to Schatzi Jr before you and Leia go out.”
“Let’s go.”
-
You hop down the last step, listening to Kitty tell you how careful you should be even though your young and your bones would heal much better than hers. “Okay, grandma. You got it.”
“I still can’t get over how your Laurie’s daughter.”
He chuckles, “you don’t act like her.”
You stand in front of him, staring at him straight in the eyes and say, “I still don’t get how you’re their son. You don’t act like either of them.”
Leia chuckles, holding her hand up for a high five. “Nice.”
You give her a confused look.
She awkwardly starts lowering her hand until you high five her earning a smile in return. “Alright.”
“No, yep. Definitely Laurie’s daughter. A baby spawn of the devil.”
“Dad!”
“Eric!”
You furrow your brows and start wobbling your bottom lip. “Grandma! Grandpa!”
His eyes widen. “What? No. She’s faking it. She does this every time.”
“That’s because you’re a punk and need to be taught a lesson.”
“See! Faker! You- you- you’re just a big faker.”
“It’s called acting uncle Eric.” You grab your leash and Leia’s hand. “I’m going to corrupt your daughter and have her join my cult while we walk Schatzi Jr.”
Donna reluctantly sets your precious little pup on the ground so you can attach his leash to him.
“You’re gonna let her get away with this?”
“She’s only kidding, Eric,” Kitty assures him. “I think.”
“Mom!?”
-
“That was fun,” Leia comments.
“As usual. It’s easy to rile up your dad.”
“You’re not wrong there. Oh, can I go explore?”
“Alone?”
“You gotta walk him and I know you like to take your time.”
“Fine, don’t let a murderer murder you.”
“Thanks for the vote of confidence.”
“I’m warning all murders with a fifteen-mile radius who’s out here on the streets.”
She responds with a sarcastic chuckle.
-
You down the steps outside of the basement and open the door, searching along the wall opposite of where the washer and dryer are. “Somethings off,” you mumble. A heavy sigh slips past your lips, “Leia.”
“Yeah?”
“Why are there people here?”
“Because this is the only place where we could hang out.”
“I highly doubt that.” You turn around and die a little on the inside.
“It’s you.”
Your left eye twitches. “No.”
“Yes,” Jay nods with a wide smile.
“Ozzie?”
“Oh no,” the boy shakes his head. “I am not a part of this.”
“I hate you.”
“Love you too.”
“I’m gonna go now.”
“Why not stay? Get to know us,” the girl sitting on the couch says.
“One, PDA one and two won’t separate for a minute. Two, the weirdo sitting over there is just staring at me. And three, I... have plans.”
“You can ignore everyone else here but do those “plans” include something we found in Candyland.”
You let out a fake, loud, exaggerated gasp. “Yes, yes they do.”
“Great. Anyone have a lighter?”
“Please,” you say. “Okay, kids gather round, and I will get us started.”
“Sweet,” Leia and the girl say.
“Oh, I’m Gwen, PDA one is my brother Nate and PDA two is his girlfriend, Nikki. And the weirdo over there is Jay.”
“You’re her cousin?” He asks.
“Yeah.”
“Leia’s cousin is the hottie that walks by my house every day,” he mumbles to himself.
You narrow your eyes at him. “And you’re the weirdo who ducks down.”
He struggles to give you an answer.
“I’m gonna go get us some... refreshments for after.”
“Good idea,” Gwen agrees.
“I’ll come with you.” Jay hops up from the chair.
You shake your head, “nope. I got it.”
“I insist.”
“Fine. Keep up.”
-
“Okay, where and what am I grabbing?”
“Top cabinets and chips.”
“Cool.”
“Please don’t try and act cool, this is supposed to be a quick and easy mission.”
“I got it.”
“What are you two doing?”
You spin around to face your grandpa. You give him a sweet smile and tilt your head. “Hi, grandpa.”
“I don’t want to know just take whatever you’ve grabbed and go away, preferably to someone else’s house so you can eat their food.”
“You’re the best!” You two run back down to the basement.
“That was amazing.”
You shake your head, the smile never leaving your face. “It was nothing.”
“No, I mean- I'm serious. Your grandpa is a scary guy and I- I froze up but you- you kept your cool and- wow.”
“Okay, starstruck. Calm down. Who’s ready to be welcomed to my basement?”
“Wha- how is it your basement? My dad hung out here with mom and their friends.”
“I live here. Therefore, finders’ keepers, shut up, hit this and pass.”
“Where did you pull this out of?” Your cousin asks.
“I am a magical person.” You smile.
Thus, the birth of the circle 2.0.
“Hey,” Nikki aka PDA two says. “Aren’t you the one who helped me when I was having a bad hair day?”
“Oh, yeah,” you start giggling.
“I’m happy to see you took my advice.”
“You were so right. Oh my god. I just told you; you were right. I don’t say that to anyone.”
“Good to know.” You turn to the boy who’s resting his head on your lap just as Ozzie talks about how he can’t see anyone (since his chair is turned around). “Are you comfy?” You ask him.
“Yeah.”
“He’s had like- the biggest crush on you since first grade,” Gwen points to Jay before she starts laughing so hard, she falls out of her chair.
“Oh no. Are you okay?” Leia asks the chair.
“Does anyone else feel like their floating?” Nate voices his thought out loud.
“You know what a good idea would be?” You say.
Gwen stands up. “What?”
“Lunch at the hub. I want fries. I’m going with or without you.” You open the door that leads to cement stairs.
“Right behind you,” Jay trips over everything in his path (including the air) as he tries to follow you. “Hurry up, you guys.”
“Don’t you think you’re being a little desperate,” Nate says to him.
Jay scoffs, “no. We had a moment.”
“And, who cares if he’s trying a little hard to get with the girl, he’s had a crush on since we were kids? Do you not think he should?”
The boy struggles to respond. “No- no. That is not what I’m saying, Nik. I’m just- I don’t want him to get hurt. What if he thought they had a moment, but it was all in his head?”
She coos. “That’s so sweet. You’re just trying to save him from getting his heart broken.”
“And you all wonder why I won’t invite my boyfriend to visit,” Ozzie tells Gwen and Leia.
-
Jay stands beside you in line, fiddling with his hands, unsure of where to put them.
“Do you know what everyone else wants?”
“Huh?”
You blink once, patting his shoulder. “Nevermind.”
You two grab the food and walk back to the table, Leia, Gwen, and Ozzie sitting in chairs while you, Jay, Nate, and Nikki sitting in the booth seat.
“Ozzie, this I got special for you.” You set a hot dog in front of him.
“You know me so well and that’s why I got you this,” he grabs your hand, placing a circle pin in it.
You open your palm to see the item and furrow your brows before realizing what he’s hinting at. You grab a fry and toss at him. “You’re such a punk.”
“It takes one to know one.”
“Good come back, Ozzie,” you tell him, voice laced in sarcasm.
“Thank you.”
You shake your head and put the pin in your pocket. You lean back against the booth turning to Jay when you realize his arm is behind you.
He stops shaking his head and making faces at Nate to look at you, an awkward smile stretches across his lips.
“Your arm is behind me.”
“We- I-” He glances back at Nate, who gives him an encouraging smile. “To make more room?”
You turn back to eating your fries, ignoring the looks Gwen and Nikki plus Ozzie give you.
Leia takes notice of the shift and bops her head. “Oh, am I sensing-” She flinches, pursing her lips together to not cry out in pain. “Nevermind.”
Nikki nudges you, feeling bad for the awkward blonde. She knows how hard your kicks can be... which is why she’s always on your good side.
“What are we gonna do after this?” Gwen asks, taking a sip of her drink.
“Movies!”
You all turn to at Jay, shocked and concerned about his outburst.
“Would you just excuse us for one second?” You grab him and pull him with you.
“Did you puff a little too hard at the circle?”
“No, I just- I don’t know how to say this.”
You shake his shoulders, tired of the silence. “Just spit it out.”
“I like you and I want to go out with you.”
“See, that wasn’t so hard.”
“Was that a yes or a no?”
You glance back at the table and turn back to him. “Just us two?”
“Yep.”
“Let me finish my-”
“I’ll buy you more after or tomorrow- whenever you want them, I will buy them, but I think we should leave before they try and follow us.”
“Good point. Let’s go.”
-
“Are they- no. Are they?”
“Yes, Leia. They’re going on a date,” Gwen tells her.
“My little boys growing up,” Nate sheds a fake tear.
“Is this what it’s like to care?”
“Aw, Ozzie,” Gwen teases him.
“I don’t like it,” the shorter boy states.
-
“What movie are you thinking of?” You ask Jay.
“Uh- good question.”
“You have no idea what you want to watch, do you?”
“Nope.”
“Should take a gamble and ask the ticket guy to pick a movie for us?”
“No,” he shakes his head.
“Bad experience?”
“Very. It was a rugrats movie.”
“Oh, wow,” you cover your mouth to hide your laughter.
“Scary movie?” He offers, expecting you to turn down the idea.
“Awesome! Which one?”
“Wait,” he furrows his brows. “What?”
“What?”
“You want to watch a horror movie?”
“Yeah. Did… you not want to?”
“No, I mean- we can. I just- I wasn’t expecting you to want to actually watch a scary movie.”
“Are you kidding? I love ‘em. Leia, not so much. She stopped coming over for a little while after I rented Texas Chainsaw Massacre.”
“You’re kidding.”
“No,” you shake your head, not understanding the tone he’s using.
“No, I mean- you’ve watched it?! Without needing to cover your eyes and- and- wow.” His arms sag in front of him as his jaw drops, staring at you with heart eyes.
You ignore him and continue moving in line, telling the kid in the ticket booth you wanted two tickets to the most recent scary movie that came out a week ago.
-
You keep talking, assuming that he’s keeping up with you until you look up and realize he’s still in the same position he was in before. You grab his hand and pull him behind you. “Do you want anything?”
He owlishly blinks, still not listening to you.
You roll your eyes and poke his cheek. “I don’t think you should be joining anymore circle sessions. They’re messing up your brain.”
“Yeah. Wait! No. I’m fine, I’m fine.”
“Whatever you say.”
“Large popcorn is good. You know, then we can share.”
You narrow your eyes at him. “Fine.”
He turns away from you to do a celebratory dance.
“Stop it.”
He smiles, standing beside you with his hands behind his back. “Never.”
“I will leave you here.”
“We walked.”
“I will… leave my seat.”
“No, not unless you want to miss the movie.”
You sigh and wait for the movie to start.
He chuckles.
You grab a few pieces of popcorn. “Why are you laughing?”
“You have no comeback which I think, according to my dad, is a burn.”
“No, it’s not,” you shake your head.
“Yeah, you’re probably right.”
-
“So, what did you think of the movie?” He asks, wanting to make light conversation while you two walked back to your house.
“It was fine.”
“Fine. You totally found it awesome, didn’t you?”
You can’t pretend any longer and squeal before grabbing his arm, shaking it. “I did. I really did. Thank you for suggesting the movies,” you pause, mentally cringing at your behavior and remove your hands from his arm. “I- uh- it was- it was fun.”
The corner of his lips tugs upwards, finding your fangirl moment absolutely adorable. “Something you’d want to do again?”
“I have no comment.”
He smiles even wider, wrapping his arm around the back of your shoulders. “That’s okay because I know the truth.”
You pretend like you didn’t push yourself further into his side and wrap your arm around his waist.
-
You two stand in the driveway, unsure of what to do. “So…” you start to say something but trail off.
“I,” he clears his throat.
“Yeah?”
“I’m getting there.”
“Could you get to the point?”
“Why are you being so mean?”
“I’m not-”
“You are, and you know it.”
You huff, “I’m not. You’re just… taking forever to get to the point.”
“No, I don’t.”
“You do and I know it’s only because you don’t know how to say what’s on your mind which is so cute, it’s annoying. And-” You furrow your brows at the way he’s smiling.
“Why are you smiling?”
“You just called me cute.”
“No, I didn’t.”
“Yes, you did.”
“No,” you walk around him, trying to go inside the house.
“Oh, no,” he wraps his hand around your wrist, pulling you closer. “You’re not going anywhere until you admit that you called me cute and how cute I am.”
“First off, I did not. And second, no one is cuter than Schatzi Jr.”
“Okay, fine. I’m cute but not as cute as your dog.”
“He has a name.”
He rests his head on top of yours, hugging you. “Just let me enjoy this moment before my girlfriend tries to compare me to her dog again.”
“Girlfriend huh?”
“Yeah… that’s what I wanted to say earlier.”
“I know.” You can’t fight the smile stretching your lips from corner to corner.
-
“Burn!”
You furrow your brows. “Mr. Kelso?”
“Oh,” he sounds sad. “You’re not who I wanted to answer the phone. Could you go get your grandpa or your grandma?”
“I guess.” You pull the phone away, covering the bottom and shout for them.
Kitty walks through the sliding glass door. “What’d you need, sweetie?”
“Phone.”
“I got it. Thank you, sweetheart.”
-
You step out the door just in time to hear your grandma yell at your boyfriend’s dad. You turn and find him patiently waiting for you. “You ready?”
“Oh, I’m ready but,” he bends down, scratching your dog’s head. “Is junior here ready?”
“Yep. I bet it’s gonna be weird.”
“What is?”
“You not needing to duck down from my view.”
“I did not.”
“You did too.”

Guess who’s back!
It’s been years so let’s get caught up shall we?
Billy Hargrove x reader is officially cancelled, sorry y’all :( It’s been on hiatus for so long I don’t remember what the goals for the storyline were.
I can’t promise to be super scheduled due to work and also chronic illness, sometimes I just don’t have enough brain function to write.(but hey we have more answers about my health now then we did back then so we shall see)
My writing is a little rusty so bare with me as I get back in the swing of things:)
As of right now I am only writing for a few fandoms due to hyper fixations and so I don’t get overwhelmed. The list will grow eventually but I wanted to start small and doable. I only do x readers gender neutral or she/her pronouns (if my writing gets better I may be able to open it up to he/him as well) I will also write fluff or smut (or angst turned fluffy but not only angst)
As of right now I will write for:
STARDEW VALLEY
Shane
Sebastian
Alex
Abigail
THAT 90S SHOW
Nate Runck
Jay Kelso
Once I get more comfortable I will be able to write for more shows/characters and once my hyper fixations for these have been met. Requests are always open, I will try to get one request out a week(if they exist) and one of my own stories every two weeks. I haven’t decided if I will be reposting these on ao3 as of now but in the future I see it as a possibility. It’s mostly going to be one shots and/or head cannons but eventually we will get some full on stories going.

Reassurance
Nikki x Male!Reader (+Nate Runck)
Romantic/Platonic/Unspecified
Pronouns: He/Him
Summary: After Leia leaves, the truth about what happened between her and Nate the day she left gets revealed, a guilty Nate coming to tell you all about it. But in his attempt get his guilt off of his chest, Nikki over hears and runs away in tears. You go to comfort her.
TW's/Disclaimers: Mentions of cheating, Nate and Nikki break up, the kiss between Leia and Nate DID happen, this takes place after 01x10. !!THIS IS JUST MY INTERPRETATION OF WHAT THE BREAK UP WOULD LOOK LIKE PLEASE!!
You were sitting in your room waiting for Nikki to show up. You had both planned to hang out an watch a movie, to ease the sadness of Leia leaving.
Leia had left around 2 hours ago and everyone was still a little upset about her leaving. You never really got the chance to get that close with Leia. You were out of town visiting family the first half of summer so you didn't get to meet Leia until late June.
You sigh and sit up from your spot on your bed, looking around your room aimlessly. You were bored, was the short answer. What was taking Nikki so long?
"Y/N! SOMEONE IS AT THE DOOR FOR YOU!" Your father screams from downstairs. You hop up and run down the stairs, yelling a quick 'thank you' to your father as you do so. You swing open the door expecting to see Nikki but instead you see her boyfriend. Nate. Your best friend.
"Oh, hey Nate. Is Nikki with you? I was waiting for her." You blink in surprise as he walks through the door, you closing it behind him.
"No, uh, Nikki isn't with me. I've kind of been avoiding her." He messes with the skin on the side of his finger nail as he stands there. You can tell he's nervous. No... nervous isn't the right word. Anxious? Jumpy? For lack of better words, he looked terrified. Like he was a puppy who got yelled at by his owner and ran away with his tail between his legs.
"Nate, are you alright?" You walk over to him and place a hand on his shoulder, making him look at you. He shakes his head, his eyes glossing over slightly with small tears of guilt.
"I messed up, Y/n. I messed up so bad." You bring him into a hug while he slows his breath, trying not to cry. After a minute he pulls away to allow you to lead him to the living room while you headed to the kitchen.
You grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and headed back to the living room, handing the bottle to Nate who was now sitting on the couch. You sat next to him on the couch and turned you body to face him as he chugged the water bottle.
"Nate, mind telling me what happened?" He finishes the bottle off and sets it on the floor next to his feet. He looked at you and you watched as his lip trembled slightly.
"I-" he paused. "I kissed Leia." He closed his eyes and prepared for the blow. You sat there with your mouth hung open slightly, eyes wide.
"Nate, I'm- I'm at a loss for words.' You shook your head in shock while Nate continued to look away from you. "Why and how could you do this to Nikki?" You looked at Nate who was about to say something when you both heard a creak from behind you. You both turn to look at the doorway of the living room, only to see a teary-eyed Nikki standing in the doorway. Nikki shakes her head as a few tears roll down her cheeks.
"I can't believe you Nate." She turns, quickly running to the front door, a slam being heard seconds later.
"Nikki wait-" Nate attempted to run after her but you put your hand on his chest to push him back onto the couch.
"No, Nate. You upset her, you do not get to comfort her." Nate tried to stand up again but you pushed him back onto the couch.
"But I need to talk to her-"
"NO! Nate, look, I love you. You're my best friend. I will always love you. But right now, you hurt Nikki, and now she's off to who knows where with a broken heart and probably about to do something stupid, and I need to be there to pick up the pieces. Cause I know damn well no else will." You grab your hoodie from the back back of the couch and slip it on. You look at Nate who is sitting there, eyes teary and hands shaking. You sigh and kneel in front of the boy.
"Nate." He doesn't answer. "Nate." He looks up to you and you grab his hands to stop them from shaking. "Everything will be fine. I'm not saying everything will be okay, or go back to the way it was, because it can't. And it's not okay. But that's not anyone's fault. Not yours, not Nikki's, and not Leia's. Life moves on, okay? You can stay here for a little bit if you want but you should go home." Nate thinks for a moment and nods. "I'm sorry for yelling. I'll see you tomorrow."
------
You had been searching for a while and couldn't find any sign of Nikki anywhere. You went to her house first and asked her father if she had come home. He got worried thinking she was missing so you came up with the lie that she had forgotten something and said she would go home and get it. Long story short, she wasn't at home and you had basically searched this entire town.
When you left you had opted to ride your bike instead of walking, so as you peddled down the street you caught a glimpse of the water tower over the tree line.
'Of course.'
Going down the path you had to chain up your bike, to avoid hitting any rocks or losing control on the steep hill. You walked down the hill carefully, picking up speed the closer you got. You stopped when you reached the bottom of the water tower and looked around for a minute. After deducing that Nikki was not at the bottom you sighed and headed for the ladder, starting to climb.
You finally reach the top moments later, your head poking over the top of the ladder. You see Nikki sitting with her back up against the water tower, looking out over the railing at the sky, tears slowly running down her cheeks. You frown and move up the ladder more.
"You can't stay mad at him forever ya' know." Nikki jumps to wipe the tears off her face but stops when she sees it's just you. "You don't have to forgive him, but you will have to talk to him at some point." You climb up the ladder fully and sit next Nikki, putting ample distance between you and her.
"I don't want to forgive him or talk to him. He can fall in a ditch for all I care." You frown and look over at Nikki.
"You don't mean that." Nikki shakes her head as a few more tears slip past her eyes.
"No, no I don't. I just-" She stops to regain her breath and continues. "I just can't believe him. I mean, was this my fault? I mean a couple days ago we did have this argument over college, and what would happen when we go back to school. He wants to focus on football and I want to focus on my grades. I may have told him that when I go to college I don't want to be in a relationship but that doesn't give him the right to ago and kiss someone he met two months ago! I mean, Leia was going to leave eventually, what made her a better choice than me?" Nikki takes a breath and sighs.
"Well, you did essentially tell him that you were going to break up with him sooner or later. Not saying what he did was right, but I think self consciously, he didn't want you to break up with him, so he did it first." Nikki looks down and stays quiet, so you take this as a sign to keep talking.
"Look, Nik, Leia was torn up about Jay and Nate was freaking out over you. I guess in the moment it felt like they were filling voids neither you or Jay could fill at that point in time. Maybe this whole summer of romances was just, summer fun, or maybe, they were 'right person, wrong time' types of situations. But all I do know is that whatever happens, we can get through it. Nothing is stronger than this friend group. We have been through a lot of heart break these past two months and I think we all deserve a break."
"But I want to be the one to fill the void that I made. He should have come to me if he was worried." She gets up and leans her elbows on the railing, continuing to look out over the tree line at the sky. You could see the tiniest bit of sun peeking over the tree tops.
"Maybe he was scared. But Nikki you have to talk to him or else nothing will get better. You'll both in the dark and I don't want the friend group to suffer because of it." You stand up to stand next to Nikki, your arm going to rest around her shoulders. "I love you guys to much to see this friend group fall apart." Nikki shifts to look at you and smiles, resting her head on your shoulder.
"I love you guys too. Whether I say it or not."
"You should tell Nate that" She looks to you with wide eyes and then thinks for a minute.
"Okay, I'll talk to him."
"There's my girl."
OH MY GOD!!! I only procrastinated on this for forever but it's finished! I hope this show isn't dead already cause I don't see anything on it anymore.

STOP THIS IS SO CUTE IM GONNA CRY 😭
Been There All Along (Nate Runck x Reader)
(there are almost no gifs of Nate and that makes me upset)
Fandom: That ‘90s Show
Pairing(s): Nate Runck x Fem!Reader, Past!Nate Runck x Nikki, Platonic!Gwen Runck x Reader
Trigger(s): some angst, breakup mentions, (seemingly) unrequited feelings, slight Nikki slander (sorry, it’s only for the sake of the story), also some Nate’s dad slander
Summary: Nate comes to you, one of his best friends, for comfort after Nikki breaks up with him. You console him the best you can without letting your true feelings slip, but you fail when you end up kissing him. This leads to you thinking you ruined your friendship, but luckily, Nate shows up to reassure you that that’s not true.
