Warnings: PWP, mentions of violence/blood, smut, angst, light choking, bdsm, Domme!Shuri, (bratty)Sub!Namor, political marriage
A/N: This is what happens when brain rot goes completely unchecked 🙈 If you enjoy my smutty, incoherent fever dreams, please like, reblog, kudos, comment, etc. It means a lot to me 😘 Happy Nashuri Week, y’all! 🖤💚 🐈‍⬛ 🐍
Chapter 1: Transgression
(Check it out here)
~~
“Is that all you promised him?”
Shuri’s eyebrows shoot up. Her eyes widen in disbelief, then narrow, and she actually does growl this time. “Choose your next words very carefully,” she warns, left hand flexing at her side. “One swipe of my claws and I could slit your pretty throat for your insolence.”
Namor hums. A lewd grin tugs at his lips as his eyes flit to her mouth, then to the shimmering gold of the necklace resting against her collarbones. “I am well aware.”
She shoves past him without another word, skin prickling, heart racing, fingers twitching with the urge to wrap around his neck and squeeze.

Aqueous Incandescence - Act II - Inferno
Ch 23: ilanga ja' '
Namor returned halfway to his previous post, back facing the shadows, palms grazing the grit of the railing. He overlooked the ceremony below. The milling bodies, the wailing, the souled screaming for the soulless.

I think everyone knows about the whole situation with Tenoch, no matter which side everyone is on and what they want to believe. That is also good. Everyone has freedom of speech, which they should live out as they see fit. I don't want to participate in the discussion about who is telling the truth and who is not.
I stay out of it completely, but I would like to say that, as a fanfiction writer, it is really sad for me that so many who previously actively commented and supported me on my Namor fanfiction have simply stopped and disappeared. None of the writers were or are responsible for any of this. They write out of their passion and there is nothing reprehensible about that. Some have deleted their fanfictions for various reasons or stopped writing. Either because they have turned away from the fandome or fear a shitstorm if they continue to write, but the FFs have nothing to do with the situation, they are works/books about a fictional character that is not the real person, it is a story the writer created and is theirs. No one has to support Tenoch or anything like that, but be so fair all this not to refer to the writer or the FF you liked until recently. As I said, I'm not going to choose a side of "truth" as I personally know nothing about what really happened between the two except for the things that have been made public, as has everyone else of this fandom.
All love,

Can’t Stay Away’s Fic Rec Friday Post #4
12.22.23
Tumblr media
My ao3 Bookmarks (if it’s bookmarked, it’s usually a completed fic)
Fic Rec Friday Intro and FAQ
I can’t do multiple posts with elaborate reviews/commentary today. I just wanted to say that over the last few months, while I was grappling with this overwhelmingly depressive sense of doom, profound sadness, hopelessness, and apathy, reading fanfiction was one of the most effective types of escapism I engaged in.
So, here are the fics that I have been reading, keeping track of, and loving:
Almost anything @bardocksheadband-fanfics, but especially:
1. The Re-Education of Mr. Almehen
Tumblr media
Fandom: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Pairing: Nashuri
Summary: “Namor's life changes in all the right ways the day his student's aunt picks him up from school.”
What I Like About It: It may seem lame af to describe something as “tasteful” and mean it as a compliment, not a slight. I mean, this is a Suga Mama Shuri and a Baby Boy Namor (whom I call Ch’ah in my head) but not in the way you think. It’s a rom-com! It’s sexy, it’s funny, it’s adorable. And these two kinky assholes are in love! Also, he’s a kindergarden teacher; a good one. The way he is written with these kids just makes my ovaries quiver.
2. Filthy Mouth
Tumblr media
Fandom: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Pairing: Nashuri
Summary: Single father Namor goes on his first blind date and gets his world rocked.
What I Like About It: Almost the same as above, but in reverse! Though more of a straightforward relationship dynamic, not a kept man/woman scenario at all. More of a freak in sheets, lady in the streets situation. But again, there is love and devotion, as there always is with this pairing (well, when writers stay away from the darker dynamics of the ship). This is absolutely amazing. Superbly written, well-paced, tonally balanced, funny, sexy, and somewhat dramatic but not anxiety-inducing. Like, literally perfect.
_______
Almost anything @zzbottomz, but especially:
unfaithful
Tumblr media
Fandom: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Pairing: Nashuri/Loshuri
Summary: Shuri’s world unravels when she discovers her husband Namor’s infidelity, leading to a heart-wrenching divorce. Amidst the chaos, she finds solace in Loki, a charming entrepreneur with a complicated past of his own. As their unexpected romance flourishes, Shuri grapples with co-parenting challenges, the complexities of new love, and unresolved feelings.
What I Like About It: I mean, I didn’t think that a Love Triangle between Shuri, Loki, and Namor would be so intriguing. That it would be utterly confusing as to who you want to root for. That you would feel your heart beat for the plight of each character. There’s so much at stake, but especially the happiness of a little boy caught in the middle of the mess adults can make of their lives. It’s drama personified, and I live for each installment. Plus, Loki is written so well here, it’s hard not to root for him.
_______
A new writer, or a seasoned one, returned from a long hiatus, inspired by Shuri and Namor:
Before everything by stories_of_grace
Tumblr media
Fandom: Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Pairing: Nashuri
Summary: A year after her mother’s death, Shuri burns her mourning clothes on the beach in Haiti and wakes up not only back in Talokan, but also back in time. Given the chance to do things differently, can she prevent her mother’s death and convince Namor of a peaceful alliance?
What I Like About It: THIS fic is everything I want in a Nashuri. It is another “What If” scenario, mapped and tread carefully. We’ve all imagined what could have been if it had been different, as Namor lamented on the beach that day just after he speared the Black Panther, right before she almost killed him and forced him to yield to her. Go read this! It is so satisfying!
______
There are others, but ta for now! Please enjoy your holidays!

Namor with his and Shuri's firstborn.
*I 100% would believe drunk Namor would tell pregnant Shuri, he'd carry their baby like a seahorse if he could. Cause having a immortal beings baby has got to have some extreme symptoms. Kid kicks and cracks Shuri's ribs. Or gets hiccups so Shuri looks like she's skipping as she walks around her lab.
- @wanderingquill
---
Shuri isn't even in the 2nd trimester of pregnancy, but her bump appeared as though she was nearing the 3rd! She hadn't gained enough weight, and it seemed like the supernatural power in her veins was just protecting her from tipping over.
She's mad at her husband (her irritation, she admits, is just from the hormones and the deep-seated resentment for his smouldering face that begs for a kiss that she can't give) so he ducks to the mead given by the Asgardians as a wedding gift...
Anyways, Ch'ah Toh returns to Shuri with that smouldering look, begging her to make him an artificial womb so he can bear their children instead, like a seahorse!
Shuri laughs like it hurts, for the first time in months.

Crossed Lines
There are certain lines that you just do not cross. However long you may live.
Tumblr media
Pairing: Namor of Talokan x Shuri (Marvel)
Summary: Namor feels conflicted about her death, not the Queen of Wakanda but the Princess’ mother.
[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]
There is something about the way he looks at her.
Shuri grips her controller, maintaining the Sunbird's position. There is a wide enough distance between her and Namor, yet she can see his eyes perfectly. There is a rage. One that she knew perfectly. The same one that choked her after her brother's death.
Guilt starts to creeping up on her once more, remind her of the two Talokanil maids death. For a moment, Shuri moves her eyes, watching the floods ruin the Golden City. Floods that Namor brings. She narrows her eyes to him again.
There is no fair games in war.
With that, she rains fire upon him. He moves swiftly, avoiding her every shots, but Shuri did not stops. She and Aneka keeps on unloading sonic blasts on Namor who runs, diving in the moat.
"He's too fast!" Shuri shouts.
"He'll be even faster in the water," Aneka said from behind her.
Below the surface, Namor swims in circles as blasting away, Shuri and Aneka struggle to get a bead on him.
Then, he suddenly darts up.
Namor flies and drives his spear through the Sundbird's windshield.
"ARGH!" Shuri screams, waiting for the pain. Yet, it never came.
She opens her eyes and watches the spear destroys her control panel, inches away from her body. Shuri raise her gaze and meets with Namor's eyes. She was right before, there is rage in his eyes but it is not the only thing there. There is also betrayal, after she breaks her vow to stay in Talokan. He has enough reason to pierce the spears through her heart.
But why didn't he kill her?
Seconds before the Sunbird hits the water, Namor flees.
[][][]
His wings flutters, making him stands eye to eye with the Queen of Wakanda. The one who orders the death of his children. He sees the Scientist behind the Queen and it only made him angrier. Namor picked up his spear and smashed the glass wall.
The glass cracks, but still holds. And the Queen does not quiver. She stays on her ground, unmoved.
“K’uk’ulkan, je'el wáaj a salvar in?”
The voice echoes in his mind.
"K’uk’ulkan, can you save me?"
He gritted his teeth, watching his own reflection in the glass wall, seeing his failure at the expense of his people. In a blink of an eye, he flew underneath the water.
When he resurface, he is now ready. From the corner of his eyes, he could see Ramonda finally moves away. She seems to argue with the scientist. Or maybe not. It does not matter either way because Namor already release the hydrobombs. They decompress into water just before reaching the windows.
Suddenly, water crashes the glass, flooding the room rapidly, and breaking through the glass window, sending Ramonda and Riri down in a rush of water and glass.
[][][]
No! No!
Shuri screams in horror as she witness explosion in the Citadel from far away. Her seatbelt feels as if they are strangling her. She does not care what it takes, she needs to get to her mother right now.
"OKOYE, MOVE NOW!"
[][][]
Explosion still erupts from the tower as Namor watched. His grip on his spear tightens, braces for a new fight. He has told the Princess and the Queen once that he have more soldiers than this land has blades of grass. And it is true. However, Wakanda is a warrior nation, protected by their gods for centuries, and he was in their territory. He knew this fight only just begun.
He waits, but nothing happens. No attack. No soldiers. He could see some Talokanil warriors starts to climb the tower, sensing where their god’s target lands. But still he waits.
His wings flew him closer to the now destroyed hall. He notice a throne that is now thrown aside. So this is the palace where their nation’s head stands. The most important person in Wakanda is here, yet they left her with no protection? He eyes the flood that is strangely still in the throne room and realization dawned upon him.
The floor was made out of glass too.
And the Queen is nowhere to be found.
Shuri's face immediately clouds his mind.
In that moment, the image suddenly changes. Ramonda is no longer the Queen of Wakanda, but the Princess' mother. Shuri's mother.
“Parar!” (Halt!)
[][][]
"Ọs ọsọ!" (Faster!)
M'Baku leads the remaining of the Jabari tribe towards the Citadel. The explosion just ends and now they can see the top of the tower clearly. The fishman was there, along with his godforsaken blue people who are now climbing towards the Tribal Council room.
If the Queen falls, Wakanda is lost.
He and his soldiers sails as fast as they could. They just reach the entrance of the Citadel when M'Baku notices something strange. He held his people back and tilts his head upwards.
The Talokanils suddenly stop moving.
They stay on the side of the building, as if waiting for something. Whatever it is, it does not matter. This may be his only chance to save Queen Ramonda.
"Get to the top now!"
[][][]
He no longer remember his mother’s voice.
But in that moment, he almost feels like he could recall it. Five hundred years of living and the ache is still there, gnawing the hole that was left by his mother’s love. A fate he never wishes on anyone.
Where are you?
He flies to a level beneath the hall that he destroys. The only thing he can see through the glass wall is the building's ruin that is now drowning in water. Then, he can see a movement, near the floor of the throne room. Two bodies, but it does not seems like they are swimming. It almost looks like the bodies move with the current. It can only mean one thing.
Namor darts through the air and flies inside the throne room. And there they were. Both the Queen dan the Scientist facing down to water. He was about to reach for the Queen when the door suddenly opens. Two Wakandan warriors run through it.
"Stay back!"
His wings flutters and he stays inside the throne room.
"Nceda umntwana!" (Help the child!) One shouts to the other.
He watches as they try their best to awaken the Queen dan the Scientist. But at each attempt, they keep failing. It was useless.
"She did this." Namor whispers.
This is just and fair. It has to be. Two deaths for the loss of two of his people. The Queen must have known what was coming to her and Namor should cherish this very moment. But yet, he can not find it in his heart to do so. Namor slowly shakes his head. His people's wellbeing comes before all else, even his peace. So once again, he reminds himself, this is fair.
He lets out a warning. The only mercy he can offer them.
"Listen carefully, Warriors. In one week time, I will return with my entire army. And you will join us against the surface world..."
They look at him in fearful eyes and keep trying to save the Queen and the Scientist.
"Yiza, Kumkanikazi wam," (Come on, My Queen.)
"...or I will wash Wakanda from the face of the earth."
[][][]
Bast, let my mother be safe.
Shuri races through the hallway with all her power. Her heart beats so fast, it feels like they were coming put from her throat. She arrives at the Tribal Council Room and almost lose her balance with what she sees.
"Mother..."
"Keep her back!" Okoye shouts.
Her mother is unconscious.
"Mother!"
Aneka's hands held her back. Shuri claws her way from her, but M'Baku follows right behind her. She can't breath.
Why is her mother not awake?!
"NO! MOTHER!"
Her eyes learn her mother's condition and the state of the room and piece everything together. Her tearful eyes look up to Namor as she keeps screaming for Aneka to release her.
"No! Y-You would not—"
He would not do this.
Her brain never fails her. She remember vividly the moment they have in his hut. He told her about his life, the things he gains and the things he lost. In return, Shuri has shared about how she lost her brother and her father. She laid out her heart and confessed that she can not lose another.
"Why?! Why are you doing this to me?!"
He understands.
Shuri knows that Namor understands then. He lost his mother and the loss of her has affected his every decision for half a millennium. It's a pain not even 500 years could soften. He knows how it would feel to lose a mother and Shuri know that he will never take someone else's mother away from them.
But why the evidence proves otherwise?
Her mother does not awake.
"MAMA!"
Namor flinches at the sound and that only made Shuri rages. So he knew what he was doing. He knew the curse that he thrust upon her.
"Please don't leave me alone! Please! Mother!" Shuri cries hysterically.
Namor slightly bows almost in shame, "Bury your dead. Mourn your losses."
"MOTHER!"
And then he whispers.
"You are Queen now."
Shuri sobs loudly. Her mother was not a chess piece that could be easily replaced. Was this what Namor thinks as fair? An eye for an eye. A death for a death. She now understands the look he gave her earlier.
A betrayal for a betrayal.

The Summoning of K’uk’ulkan
Chapter 16: Humid
“You are not K’uk’ulkan or Namor,” she whispered, lashes fluttering open.
He shook his head—her cacao eyes sharpened.
“You are not the one that wore my blanket.”
Underneath him, lithe muscles tensed, accompanied by a predatory growl. Kaano’ would have savoured Báalam’s animalistic croon if not for what it signalled.

Enemies (Part 17)
All Parts here! / Masterlist here!
Day after day. Week after week. Time continued to pass as Shuri tried every single way to wake Namor from his sleep. Her belly was getting bigger and the birth date was getting closer, but she didn't want her child to be born without her husband. She was scared and wanted him by her side. She spent every moment in her lab while Nakia made sure the princess ate enough. Shuri started the machine and closed her eyes as her hand rested on her stomach, stroking it gently and lovingly. "Process complete," the voice in front of Griot finally sounded, and the young woman opened her eyes before reaching out and mindfully taking the modified heart-shaped herb. She had once again altered the substance of the herb so that it matched the DNA of the God King and, with any luck, it would remove all damage. Shuri placed the herb in the bowl and ground it until it was just a blue-purple liquid. Her hands wrapped around the bowl and lifted it up before carrying it into the room where Namor lay motionless. Gently, she sat down beside him on the edge of the bed. She lifted a hand and stroked through his black hair down to his chin, where she gently parted his lips.
"This must be working," she breathed softly to herself, placing the bowl to his lips and pouring the liquid into his mouth. The young woman glared at him, hoping for even a single sign of life from him, something that would show her that it was having an effect. When nothing happened, she sighed and stood up. The further she walked, the more she felt the sadness inside her and how her vision was blurred with tears. Why was it that nothing wanted to work? She thought, looking down at the bowl in her hands before hurling it with all her might against the opposite wall, shattering it. Splinters flew across the room to the floor. They stabbed through her hair, which by now had grown longer and reached her shoulders. That had been her last attempt, but her husband just kept sleeping like that. Shuri sank to the floor and buried her face in her hands.
"Miss U'Daku-," the AI began to say, but she interrupted Griot by shutting her down. At the moment, she didn't have a nerve for anything. The princess heard someone enter the lab, but did not raise her head, as it could only be Nakia.
"I'm not hungry," she said softly and felt someone sit down next to her.
"Good," a voice she had missed so much rang out, "Because I don't have anything to eat, even though I'm hungry myself." Shuri looked up and saw her husband sitting there, looking as if nothing had ever happened.
"Ch'ah?" she breathed, and the man looked at her gently as he smiled. "How?"
"I was probably awakened by your tantrum," the man said with a grin. "Can you tell me what happened?" Shuri gulped as the question of whether he remembered came up.
"Do you remember?" she asked as a counter question, but he shook his head.
"Nothing more than the stories you told me...I'm sorry," he breathed softly, looking down at her stomach. "Do you know what it's going to be? So the child...our child?"
"A little girl," Shuri replied, feeling the unborn baby kick. She smiled slightly and took his hand and placed it on top of him. "This is so surreal," he said softly, looking at her, "What about this Talokan? You meant that I am their king."
"They are waiting for the return of K'uk'ulkan," she said, taking a deep breath, "We've had plenty of time to prepare for all the possibilities should you wake up..."
The black-haired man hummed and continued to stroke her belly gently. "So what happens now? I still can't remember."
"I don't know," she said then, shrugging her shoulders. "I want you to be there for our daughter, Ch'ah, with or without memories, okay?"
"All right, princess," he said gently. Shuri smiled for the first time in a long time when she heard him say that, because it meant that somewhere inside him was still his old self. Lovingly, she put her hand on his cheek and stroked his stubble.
"I know you don't remember, but could you just hold me?" she said, because she really needed that. She needed that closeness with him again. That bond between them pulled at her heart when there was distance between them. To her relief, he immediately did as she asked and wrapped his arms around her and held her tenderly. Shuri inhaled his scent and held tightly to him.
"I feel the bond too, you know. And I realize I can't stay away from you, not because of the bond, but because I can understand the old me. I understand why he fell in love with you," he said softly, but Shuri didn't say anything, instead feeling hope that everything would change for the better.

Can’t Stay Away’s Fic Rec Friday #3 (06.30.23) - The I Worship My Wife Committee by @mickimomo
Title: The I Worship My Wife Committee (Tumblr) |
Author(s): mickimomo (ao3)  | @mickimomo (Tumblr)
Fandom(s): Black Panther Wakanda Forever
Pairing/Ship(s): Attoye (Okoye x Attuma) | Nashuri (Shuri x Namor) | Aneka x Ayo | Onimora (Oni x Namora)
Type: AU |  Non Canon Compliant | Original Character
Rating: Mature
Status: Unfinished (?)
Updated: 06.28.23
Summary:  … just know that Aneka, Namor, Attuma, and Oni have little get togethers where they gush over their wives.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Why I Love It: This is the kind of fun stuff that serves as a cooling palette cleanser when you want a little light reading that involves your favorite characters just enjoying themselves. There are shenanigans, but it maintains its lightheartedness and sense of humor. The writer is having fun with this, I can tell, because I am having fun reading it. Nothing is more fun than having these characters interact with one another in a spousal support group, because they are utterly addicted to the loves of their lives!
This is an offshoot of another series, The Sun and The Sky, which has been the writer’s starting point for these characters, especially the original character Oni. It began as an Attoye one shot, from what I can tell, and has expanded into an ensemble epic with two additional multi-chapter installments. I have not read this series yet, but I did read the “I Worship my Wife Committee” shorts and it made me want to check out the original series. I plan to do just that before the next Fic Rec Friday!
I think it would be best to start with the series itself before reading this? That’s what I should have done. But, think of this as something to look forward to once you get to that point. This short series of chapters does stand on their own as separate, entertaining little vignettes, but start with the whole meal, then cap it off with these sweet little bites!
