“And Juno too, didn’t expect her until Friday.”

“Don’t you worry daddy, Finn and I can manage this one just fine.”

“Oh hey baby, why don’t you come on in here. We have some.. uhh visitors.”

Edited Asher and Nascha a bit. Well I swapped Ash to a human for the semi realistic rotational whatever I’ve been doing.

“We’ve talked about this Nash. You should have called me the minute he showed up. Never let any of my family into our house.” 

“You really expect me to leave that poor baby with him on the porch while you walked back up the hill?"

“It is not that far.” 

“Dammit Ashe, don’t just jump into your usual knee jerk reaction. He may have a good reason for coming to you. Maybe he doesn’t want your parents to know this kid exists if it is his. Don’t think I haven’t noticed how little pictures there are of any of us on your own media accounts.” 

“I am just a very private person when it comes to my family life.” 

“Yes and there’s reason for that. I don’t blame you, I just want you to take a moment to breathe and remember your brother was raised by those people too.” 

“I know.. but he is just such a dick.”

“What is he doing here? Please tell me you didn’t steal that baby.” 

“Really Ahzee? You think I’d do shit like that? I don’t even like kids.” 

“I am really not sure what you are capable of Levi.” 

“The baby is his daughter Asher.” 

“Allegedly.” 

*Sigh* “Allegedly..”

“Wait a minute, you didn’t even flinch at that news. You already knew didn’t you?” 

“Yes, for a few weeks now.”

“And you weren’t going to tell me? 

“There are so few great surprises Nascha, many of them I will never experience, I did not want to take this one from you. Especially given the way I often fumble over my words when it matters.”

“Give your brother a big hug for me when he wakes up from his nap alright?”

“I am so sorry Nascha, I know that probably does not mean much but I am. If there is anything I can do for you ever. If you just want to talk about her, about her life, anything. Just tell me.” 

“Well there is one thing, with all the tests they’ve been running for the colony, I found out I am pregnant and I thought it might be nice, if it’s appropriate, to name our child after her.” 

“That sounds like a fitting memorial, I have no objections.”
