Kai lay on her stomach and shimmied in, slithering over broken glass before standing up and looming in the darkness. “Is okaying.” She said and peeked back out the window at Naomi, eyes gold in the darkness. “I is bringing someone to get them somewheres safe and back to their families.... and will make sure all the other ones get found and taken Home with names too.” She said and looked back in the room.

The two little girls went into her arms, against her where it was warm while she waited for the shadows to take them. They did- eventually, though she was reluctant to let them go until Antony promised they would be well taken care of and that he’d deal with allerting the police. Choosing to approach a dectective they knew from their courts to open the case- as to the missing corpse she’d just eaten... well... he’d take care of that too. Make sure that a body would be found- of supposed suicide with a note explaining the girls and how someone had found out and he hadn’t wanted to go to jail- easy really.

Only once the living girls were gone did she shimmy back out the window, Wriggling like a snake to be able to fit and gathered Naomi up in her arms when she was done. “You did a very good thing.” She praised. “And now, having eat- we go back to nest. Will be dawn soon So is going sleep.”

New brood

He’d warned her. It wouldn’t have been fair for her to just find out on her own and she would have Kai was notoriously good at sniffing out young children and so the ancient vampire king had warned her. Told the vampire child of Kai’s existence, her species… and her predilection for gathering up those younger than her, which was practically everybody, to brood over.

So despite the fact that he wasn’t there he hoped it came as no surprise to her when Kai appeared. Not as a dragon but as a human. Nine feet tall and wearing the most basic of dresses to cover her nudity from prying human eyes. She still drew stares wherever she went and her eyes immediately settled on Naomi, gold and gleaming and a brilliant slightly too wide smile breaking out across her face.

“Yes! Yes!! Is helloing!” She said and immediately rushed over “Yes, is one Antony spoke of yes. Must be.”
