35. their closest call
It’s like – discovering fire. Ivanya’s a cavewoman in the bathroom at Fast Eddie’s, and their kisses feel like two rocks snapping together to make sparks. It feels like discovering electricity – she feels reanimated – like cold isn’t cold, like blood melted warm and alive. She could eat Quinn alive.
She could eat Quinn alive.
She doesn’t. But it’s a near thing.

93 and uh 76. hope you're havin a good day, Dr.
Thanks, Doctor! :)
are you disillusioned? what with?
Hm... well, I really try to NOT be disillusioned with things. Though I’m starting to get tired of my students trying to cheat on tests. Does that count?
scariest/creepiest experience?
Well, I’m not sure about creepiest... I’m not creeped out that easily. But I think one of the scariest was the one time I realized I forgot to put a sock on the door in college!

36. cannibalism
(warnings for nsfw and well, cannibalism, kind of)
She lives on a livewire of flings once she gets her own place. It’s nothing but pretty singers who are okay with a little pain, and people she could commiserate in a drink with. No one ever knows the truth, but one girl comes close.“Please.” Between the valley of thighs, Aelita thrives in secret kisses and delicate fingers. A playful nip at the femoral artery, and the ever present voice in the back of her head questions. ‘Would it really be so bad if we bit a little harder? I wonder what this one tastes like?’Later that night, Aelita washes her mouth with holy water in hopes that might wash the idea away. It doesn’t.

[Quinn arrives (very promptly) outside of Nantuckets in a whirlwind of chaos: 1) A screech of tires on half-frozen roads 2) A string of loud curse words somewhere on the precipice between French and English. 3) The slam of a car door and the rapid knocking on Nantuckets front door.
"Vet Man!! Vet Man hellooooo!! Bring Orb Daddy out!! The people want answers!"
She stands on the front doorstep shifting between feet, ungloved hands tucked up under her arms. Had she left home in such rush that she had forgotten to grab gloves and jacket, still dressed only in her pajamas? Perhaps.]

15. bleeding in an alleyway
Amanita senses the rotting blood before they see it. A small trail had trickled to the street from the darkened alleyway.
The girl is small, no bigger than a bread box, her eyes glazed and milky. She has probably been gone for two days, a dagger or knife to the throat stealing the light from her.
Amanita looks around, and decides that she deserves some peace. They make quick work of her corpse, decaying it into rich mulch while saying a few words of guidance. They hope she will be the last, but know that she will not.

27. Wearing a disguise
The face on the ID doesn’t match the man standing before him, but all pictures of Ulysses S. Grant look the same, so Joe pockets the 50 and buzzes the tall man with the unfortunate eyes into the building. “Go on ahead, sir,” He says, and deftly ignores it when the same stranger comes out forty minutes later with three lamps stuffed under his trench coat.
