So fun fact: You know how video game music is supposed to help people focus? Yeah, so like, I play Nancy Drew music compilations while my students are working in class. It makes me happy, they get music, and there is some subconscious encouragement to work going on for them.

I was on a zoom call with him last year and yeah he basically said it was cost cutting reasons (possibly with the new CEO? I can’t remember exactly). But while he said his departure from the games left a bad taste in his mouth, he really enjoyed writing for the games, and he would be happy to write for the games again. He said it was a great experience getting to chat to the developers and he got detailed descriptions of the types of music they wanted for the game, which you can really tell because so much of the music is sooo good.

Also I’m pretty sure to answer the original question Alibi in Ashes was the last one he wrote music for (though I haven’t checked this so I could be misremembering)

When did Kevin stop writing music for her?

I have no idea why Kevin Manthei stopped creating music for the games, though I’ve tried to investigate why he no longer works with HER.

Does anyone have any info about this though?

(Also, does anyone know which game was the last one he composed? Cause according to the credits for the music from WAC, it looks like “Somatone Interactive Studios” wrote the music, but this forum post explains that CAP must have been the last game that Kevin worked on, and that ”Thomas Regin, North By Sound Audio Productions” was responsible for the soundtracks for TMB and DED at the very least.)

So I don’t know if that means that he took some time off between games before ultimately no longer working with HER. I’m sure this is super easy to find out if you just check out the credits for every game, but I just don’t have the time for that right now, haha.

I think I have a superpower

So the buck being bi thing just made me realize something. I think I have a superpower. I just started watching the series as it comes out this season right, well this season is when they made buck canonically bi. This has happened before for me. I started watching supernatural as it came out on the last season. They made Cas and Dean Canon in the last season. I started watching teen Wolf as it came out on the last season, They made Lydia and stiles canon in the last season. I started watching Andy Mack in the last season. They made Cyrus and TJ canon in the last season. It’s happened other times too but those are the times it happened with the BIGGEST ships.
