Though today she is a beloved figure in French underground music, Jacqueline Thibault’s early musical forays weren’t exactly promising. Though she was classically trained from a young age, and gifted with absolute pitch, she grew up without a TV or a radio, completely walled off from pop culture. (“I didn’t know who the Beatles or the Rolling Stones were,” she would later admit in an interview with Brain Magazine.) Her teenage years at the prestigious Paris Conservatory weren’t especially encouraging, either: Thibault lost an organ competition to a male competitor, whose victory the jury justified by saying, “At least him, being a man, could have a career.”  The episode inspired Thibault to form her own group, Nanajo, which signed to the French label Vogue in 1972. But misfortune struck yet again, when the group’s manager disappeared—and took their first record with him—leaving them stuck in a three-year exclusive contract. Faced with few other options, the group chose to disband.
Two years later, Jacqueline met Laurent Thibault, the original bassist for the prog group Magma, who was working as the International Label Manager for the Barclay label. When Laurent heard the demos Jacqueline had been working on, he introduced her to guitarist Serge Derrien and drummer Jean “Popov” Chevalier; the group gathered at the Studio de Milan in Paris to record what would become Galaxies, Jacqueline’s landmark album, and her first under the pseudonym Laurence Vanay. (Jacqueline and Laurent would marry shortly after.)
Mostly instrumental, Galaxies is an uncanny mix of French folk and electronic-based prog, that in the years since its release has been praised for its inventiveness and phantasmagoric poetics. At the time, however, the response was somewhat more muted. “I think that, back then, women flirting with electronic music was frowned upon,” Jacqueline laments in the Brain Magazine interview. Writer and musician Jean-Emmanuel Deluxe confirms that prejudice in an interview with Tricatel: “Even after [May] ‘68, the men in charge were oblivious to the fact that a woman might have the inclination to be a composer.”
"Since childhood, I improvised and composed songs and instrumental music... it seemed to me that music was the true language of emotions. It was with great difficulty that I managed to record the albums “Galaxies” and “Evening Colours” in very limited time with the means at hand, and with the help of faithful musician friends.

phantomesque
i thought about something to do with royalty for it too, although something in the form of an officer also works...just...something likely high ranking because of his obsession with being at the top. i think i have an image in my head but hmm.
Maybe and Emperor but in a more modern uniform thingy? (like if u google emperor uniform u can see some pretty fancy outfits)
@farfromempty
Commander?

@phantomesque
OH THAT MAKES IT EVEN BETTER! vibrates excitedly!!
Ye !! thank !! also i already decided on Brown’s code name being Hawk and his outfit being power ranger/neo featherman-esque

@rkfessentials sharing this wonderful breakfast with us all 🤤 Thank you for sharing!! 🙌 #goodmorningworld #veganfuel #veganbreakfast #oatmeal ••••••••••••••••••••• @wildwayoflife Toasted Coconut Hot Cereal + @nanajoesgranola Cashew & White Peach Granola + Blueberries + Blackberries + Frozen Mango Chunks + a @planet_protein bar. I could seriously eat this every morning for breakfast. This #toastedcoconut #hotcereal from @wildwayoflife is hands down the best. It does not get better than this! And #nanajoes granola compliments it so well and gives this #tropicalbowl a little extra taste. That serving was a little small for me so I added a #planetprotein bar which was definitely filling and contains 20g of protein. If you are a fan of quest bars, you will love these bars! #plantprotein

Nanajo's Guide to Taking Care of a Child; Year 1; Situation 4: Teaching to Speak… Or Babble At Least
Not me throwing something somewhat new into this
---
“Hey, Yuuji. Can you say ‘baba’?”
“Can you say ‘to hell with this’?”
“Satoru.”
“Well he’s gonna be hearing it a lot, might as well start learning how to say it correctly!”
Kento hit him over the head, blank expression on his face. Satoru groaned, leveling a glare at Kento. Yuuji watched the two adults, awe in his eyes before opening his mouth. When the two heard his pacifier hit the floor, they turned to look at him. Their eyes widened and watched to see what he would do next.
“..Pa..”
“Pa?” They both questioned.
Yuuji reached forward and grabbed Kento’s tie, “Papa!”
They were silent before a smile crawled on Kento’s face. Satoru gasped. It was honestly one of the only times he’d seen him actually smile.
“Aw… thanks, Yuuji.”
Kento picked him up and kissed his forehead. Yuuji squealed and kissed Kento’s nose. He smiled again. Satoru smiled at the scene and ran a hand through Kento’s hair. Kento turned to level another glare at him.
“What are you-”
Satoru brought him close for a kiss and pressed his lips against Kento’s. Kento’s eyes widened and he set Yuuji down. Satoru pulled away and looked down at the ground.
“Oh, wow, I’m sorry, Kento.”
“It… It’s fine.”
Kento and Satoru looked at the ground. The air was thick and awkward. It was cut when Yuuji started crawling into Satoru’s lap. Satoru picked him up and kissed his cheek.
“Hey there, Yuuji~!”
“Da!”
Yuuji pulled at Satoru’s lip and squealed, “Da!”
Kento watched them. Satoru was so adorable. Kento sighed and quickly pecked his cheek before standing and walking to the kitchen.
“Kento…” Satoru rubbed his cheek, holding Yuuji in one arm. Yuuji reach up and played with the bandana around Satoru’s neck.
“Badaba?”
“Yeah… I’m feeling that way, bud.”
"Da! Phalp ah, pphhhhttt!"
"Yep. He's amazing..."
"Papa?"
"Yeah.. Papa is amazing."
---
Kento leaned against the counter. He and Gojo were just supposed to be raising someone who the elders wanted to use as a weapon, he shouldn't catch feelings.
And yet, here he was.
Catching feelings.
