Whom do you imagine as lady dorma?? Like girlie needs to have chemistry with tenoch! N she is really possessive. Although what do you think about Shuri n Namor? I feel like the writers were giving them romantic subtext specially in og script of bop. I hope they introduce drama just like u said loyal, devoted, fierce, arrogant etc. etc., but it will be interesting to watch whom Namor ended up romantically because I feel him with Shuri was also good but then there also dorma too. Damn we need namor solo project.

My mutual had the brillant idea of Yalitza Aparicio as Lady Dorma! Yalitza and Tenoch know each other, and she is an amazing actress who would be an amazing Dorma!

The Namor/Shuri ship isn't for me, I don't care what people want to ship, but I do think people spreading around the misconception that they had filmed cut scenes is wrong, and the og script was scrapped, and actors/crew stated that it wasn't meant to be romantic. So I really don't think Marvel is going to go with the Namor/Shuri ship in the future tbh. Personally since the first time I watched the movie, before all the fandom shipping stuff came up, I never felt they had a romance going on. Even in the comics they never had anything close to a romance. However like I said, the Namor/Shuri ship isn't my cup of tea and people can do what they want.

Hi! First of all thank you for all the content, do u have a fancast of rogue or an estimate of if and when she will be joining the mcu?

hi! thank your for appreciating my content! nothing has been said about rogue’s debut on the the mcu, or even the x-men’s introduction at all. they vaguely mentioned the existence of mutations on ms. marvel (2022) and patrick stewart’s professor x featured in doctor strange in the multiverse of madness (2022), as a character from an alternate universe, completely separated from the mcu’s current timeline. the only canon mutant in the mcu is namor, but his mutation was due his mother ingesting a contaminated herb, with no mention of the x-gene. (you can read all this here).

besides all that, it’s know that deadpool (2023) will include 20th century studios’ x-men. hugh jackman’s wolverine is already confirmed. i believe famke janssen, halle berry, james marsden, patrick stewart and ian mckeller will be also reprising their roles. nothing has been said about anna paquin’s rogue. there’s also a rumor that deadpool (2023) will also feature an animated version of the x-men (either from x-men: the animated series or x-men ‘97), so it’s likely an animated version of rogue will make an appearance. there hasn’t been any rumors or official talks about the new x-men cast, or even a new x-men movie anytime soon. according to rumors, the estimated introduction of the x-men would be around 2027.

with that being said, i do have some fancasts for rogue, like madelyn cline and sophie thatcher. i definitely think that the actress who plays rogue should be on the 18/early 20s age-range. besides that, i don’t really have many exigencies, more than they should be southern or be able to pull a southern accent. i would be totally fine with a more unknown actress.

I mean, imagine trying to make me feel like I did something wrong by liking a character who isn't a Black girl that I've always, always liked. This is exactly what I was worried about with Namor entering the MCU.... I knew people would get passionate about him being a bad guy, and it would get weird. But yeah, no, the "black girl" in my blog name is me. The "superhero" is every Marvel and DC character, and occasionally the non Marvel/DC superheroes/villains, and the "rants" is because I be talking too much.

I do tend to like Black female heroes (and other characters) most of all, but that's because I'm a Black woman and many of them I grew up loving as the only representation in the nerdy stuff I loved.

I never professed to only like Black characters or to not like any villains or antiheroes. In fact, my main "villainous" character that I like IS Namor. Most characters I like are pretty straight forward heroes. Namor is the main grey area character that interests me. I refuse to be treated like I bandwagoned because Tenoch Huerta is attractive. He is, but also, I been liked Namor. Back when he was white coded, and a few times Asian coded (In fact, I fancasted him with Asian actors before Tenoch was cast.)

I saw someone on Twitter today call Leonard McKenzie a Irish-American man... the most basic fact about the character is that he's Scottish-American.

Of course it's on a post about people wanting an Asian actor for Namor and not Tenoch as Namor's actor.

Hilarious that years ago I was getting attacked for fancasting a non white actor, mainly asian/east Asian actors, for Namor and people hated that because "Namor was white" yet ever since Tenoch was cast then people started crying it's taking away Asian rep. Like stfu none of y'all cared! You only cared when you saw a brown man was gonna play Namor and you hated that.

Anyways I love winning, love my Mesoamerican Namor, and racists can shut up 💅

WEEK 2: Favorite Minor Character -

Agent Zero played by Daniel Henney

And I continue to point out that while Wolverine Origins is more than forgettable due to the ill-conceived depiction of Deadpool and a story that still hurts my head that there were some great characters including Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth or Taylor Kitsch as Remy Lebeau. But the best part of this film and my favorite minor character of any X-Men film was Daniel Henney as Agent Zero. I mean look at him! ARE WE JUST GONNA IGNORE THAT?!?! And the action while I would usually look cheesy as hell was actually a lot of fun. But admittedly his best action moment was quick-drawing a shot at Logan’s cigar. Moody, tension, hot AF! Yes this was the role that put Daniel on my radar but there’s precedence here between Fox and the MCU. Chris Evans as Johnny Storm was adorkable and easily the best aspect of those Fantastic Four films and he went on to being an even better Captain America. Coincidently also Johnny Storm many went to watch the last FF movie just because of Michael B Jordan only for him to have an enormous following after being the villain of Black Panther Erik Killmonger. And yes I’ve said this a million times but Daniel Henney should be Namor! He’s got the looks (god he has the looks), he’s tall (don’t neglect height just because RDJ), he’s got a great voice (check Tadashi from Big Hero Six), and he can be an arrogant lovable badass! I rest my case. Agent Zero - cool AF, hot as hell. Throw that in a speedo with some wings on his heels? Imperius Rex.
