नमो ड्रोन दीदी स्‍कीम की शुरुआत 2022 में प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने की थी। इसके तहत 1 लाख महिलाओं को अगले 5 सालों में प्रशिक्षित किया जाएगा। इस योजना को देशभर के कृषि विज्ञान केंद्रों (केवीके) के जरिये लागू किया जाएगा। नमो ड्रोन दीदी योजना के तहत महिलाओं को ड्रोन उड़ाने, डेटा विश्लेषण और ड्रोन के रखरखाव के बारे में ट्रेनिंग दी जाएगी। उन्हें ड्रोन इस्‍तेमाल करके अलग-अलग कृषि कार्यों के लिए भी प्रशिक्षित किया जाएगा। इनमें फसलों की निगरानी, कीटनाशकों और उर्वरकों का छिड़काव और बीज बुआई शामिल है।

इस ड्रोन योजना के माध्यम से ड्रोन उर्वरकों और कीटनाशकों के छिड़काव में सहायता मिलेगी। इसके लिए इन महिलाओं को करीब 15 दिन की ट्रेनिंग दी जाएगी। ड्रोन पायलट और सह-पायलट को हर महीने ड्रोन उड़ाने के लिए निश्चित राशि मुहैया कराई जाएगी। इसके अलावा महिलाओं को ड्रोन खरीदने पर उसके लागत का 80 प्रतिशत या अधिकतम 8 लाख रुपये दिए जाएंगे।
