since i didn't post about it last night i will this morning.

second episode of desiquest was genuinely so fun. the intro with luis. laddoo auntie at the party. sitara and namir talking. something anjali and luis share is a focus that really locks in during personal conversations in game. ash and namir. everything murkha did this episode. the teakettle conversation. priya's lore dump and collection.

the kitty party was an interesting way to launch the party off into adventure--good character interactions and different perspectives on them, an introduction to cuisine, outfit changes, and a fun way to establish who these characters are and what drives them beyond their initial introduction.

PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT THE TRIAL AGAINST THE “BELOVED” ‘HERO’ THAT DARED TO ASSAULT REPORTER YUU JUST REALIZING HOW SCREWED OVER HE IS!!!!!

The trial is going exactly as Namir’s lawyers had anticipated.

They’ve poked holes in the prosecution’s version of events, badgered the prosecution’s witnesses until they’ve revealed their villainous flaws, and their client’s character witnesses are practically unimpeachable (if only Kalim al Asim hadn’t mentioned that his cousin has a temper!)

Then the head lawyer for the prosecution stands, and requests the admission of some footage they received a day prior.

The judge states that this evidence will only be admissible with the defense’s consent. Namir’s lawyers, thinking that a local news station can’t do much harm, give it.

They bring out the footage.

Namir al-Asim only doesn’t serve time because of his family and work connections.

He is sentenced instead to 43,800 hours of community service, and must be supervised by a fellow hero and impartial third party in these and any hero work he undertakes (which, naturally, must be mild enough for the impartial observer to keep up).

Jamil doesn’t know what he’s done to deserve this, but it feels like all his birthdays came early. He’ll have to take the reporter out to dinner to show his appreciation for their contribution…

Broken: You are really loyal to Jamil, aren't you?

Namir: Of course, I am. Master Jamil's Well-Being is my top priority. Whatever he commands of me, I shall do it without question.

Broken: You are aware that Jamil is only the Vice Dorm Warden. Why don't you serve the Dorm Warden, Kalim?

Namir (Snarls): I refuse to serve that walking ball of sunshine until Master Jamil commands it of me!

Broken: Whoa... Calm down. There's no need to get mad at him.

Namir: Then, NEVER fix your lips to ask me that question again. (Phone Rings - He Answers It) Yes, Master Jamil? Dinner? Okay, I will be there soon. (Hangs up) My Master needs my services, I have wasted enough time. (Gets up and leaves)

▐┊UNIQUE MAGIC: Name undecided, Can find almost anything- for others. Doesn't work for him. A golden trail is created leading to that which one wants to find. Casts it through the Scarab on his ring. Distance is only limited by his magic farther it is the more magic that gets used.

▐┊PERSONALITY: Friendly and helpful. Very cool and calm collected most of the time and while not necessarily quick to anger his quick to step into someones defense and doesn't care for liars. A gentle giant for the most part.

▐┊BIO: Namir grew up in the Scorching Sands. His family having long protected treasures of the royal family and before that believed they helped in guarding the secrets of the Hidden Cave.

He never directly spent time with Kalim or any of the others to busy with his own duties and helping his family but he did see them around. A couple times he did offer in helping Jamil seek out a spot wherein he could spend at least a few minutes alone.

He discovered his UM a little earlier then some- hasn't quite mastered it yet but has better control over it then some his age.

He's both tall but also quite muscular and overall on the broader side leaving him to sometimes being mistaken for a bit older then he is.

▐┊FUTURE DREAMS: Just wants to help his family out. And while a myth a part of him would love to find the lost hidden treasure cave said to have once held a djinn's lamp, and was found using a golden scarab.
