Cheritz Boys With Red Eyes Have Powers

Zen, Jieun, Red, and Yeonho all have red eyes. What else do they have in common? All of them have powers.

I went back to play Nameless: The One Thing You Must Recall since it’s been so many years since I first played it. I noticed something in the game that is also present in Dandelion and Mystic Messenger; Cheritz’s other games. This really isn’t a theory, just an observation since it's confirmed in-game that these characters have these powers.

Jieun (Dandelion):

Excuse the weird cropping, I messed up taking the screenshots lol. But Jieun is a prince from another planet called Grass, and he was gifted with the power to see the future at will. In the first screenshot we see him do this, while staring out at the sun. The wind picks up and flies everywhere as he’s seeing Heejung’s future. He can use this ability at will.

Yeonho (Nameless):

I forgot the full extent of his power, so I’m glad I went back to grab screenshots! Yeonho can not only see ghosts but talk to animals too! At the beginning of his route, he chases after a cat because he could hear it speak. Later on, Yeonho joins the fortune-telling club at his academy. He himself can’t see the future, but ghosts apparently can. In the last screenshot, he goes to see a ghost of an old man to show him the future while he is doing fortunes for the school festival.

Red (Nameless):

These screenshots are from the true route of the game. We find out that Red can sense Eri’s thoughts and feelings, and that is how all the doll boys find Eri in the finale when she goes missing.

Zen (Mystic Messenger):

And of course Zen. In the screenshots are 2 different examples of him displaying his ability to see the future in dreams. The first 2 screenshots are from the end of the casual story common route where he believes that the MC wasn’t real, which some would argue is true? I won’t go into that. It's possible to get the common bad ending route after this chat, where Yoosung starts talking about how everyone is a machine. Zen sees this in ending unfold in his dream! Jaehee and Zen find out from Yoosung that they are machines, and all hell breaks loose.

The rest of the screenshots are from Jumin’s route, where we see a VN of Zen. We actually see one of his dreams and he not only sees Elizabeth the 3rd, but Mint Eye’s palace in the mountains. He is confused by all this and then wakes up. There is no way Zen has ever been to Mint Eye in real life before having this dream since their headquarters are hidden in the mountains. Later on, Elizabeth the 3rd actually does go missing and ends up at Mint Eye. This example is the more blatant display of his power. Zen and Jieun’s power is the most similar compared to Red and Yeonho, which is interesting.

I just wanted to compile all of this into one place since I tend to forget how each boy’s power works.

Dreamt that there were multiple little minigames on Tumblr, where a little character would talk to you and give you little tasks, and if you decided to play one of the games, it also unleashes it onto like 10 mutuals. I don't remember the penalty for if you don't complete the tasks and also there's a time limit once you begin it

The first one I did was unleashed upon me: some kind of red haired woman who makes everything spicy and I can't even drink any water or anything

The one that I chose to unleash onto mutuals was actually Yeonho. I also learned you could choose easy or hard. When I chose easy, I think his tasks were about buying food n it was rly cute

Irrelevant, but also in my dream I lost my shoes so I had to buy more shoes but how could I go to a shoe shop without wearing shoes???? Someone help??? (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ🆘

SPOILER ALERT ABOUT ZEN, JIEUN AND YEONHO!!!!

Jieun can see the future, Yeonho can feel about some things in tarot and Zen can see the future when he sleeps...

But I didn't play Ssum yet... So... I don't know if they stop making this kind of character... Well... Tell me if you know anything and why they can see the future or why people with red eyes are missing in Ssum (maybe because of Zen exists already in same universe)

Could I have some recommendations for the kind of "I'll be whatever you want me to be" yanderes? Willing to change their appearance and personality for their darling? I've already played 14 days with you and absolutely loved it, I really love yanderes like that!!

I'll be combining these two asks, but yes, these kinds of yanderes (I call them mimic yanderes, since they mimic the type of things the darling likes) are always fun to see. Just shows how desperate they are to become someone that you'd love.

14 Days with You - I know one of these ask already states it, but Ren's thing is to become what the MC likes, down to appearances and personality.

John Doe + - specifically in the updated version, John Doe attempts to become a more appealing version for the player, whether that succeeds or not is dependent on you.

My Childhood Friend became an Obsessive Husband - The male lead, Ricks becomes a Duke because of his love for Isabel, and because that's what she really liked when she was younger.

Hatsukoi Lovers - this one is kind of old, but its a story about Wakaba who dresses up like a girl and acts cute to become the kind of girl that Mamori likes despite being a guy. Fairly comedic.

Oredake Minaito XX Shichauzo - sort of, similarly to Hatsukoi Lovers he dresses up to be cuter so that Keiichi will like him better. This is mixed with a bunch of other things as well.

Duality - sort of, it's not really shown in the demo yet, but Keith is the type to try to become more like the person the MC likes if they don't like him. This includes being more like Tenebris if he was chosen over Keith for any reason.

Perfect Mine - Heo mimics his brother's behavior exactly so that Nabi will like him, much to his detriment and dismay.

Secret Alliance - Yul crossdresses as a girl named Yuri so that Sian doesn't notice he's actually her ex boyfriend, and also because she has an extreme phobia of men. He tries really hard to act as a perfect girl to get her attention (at least for a while)

Nameless: The One Thing You Must Recall - Yeonho kind of has this since his arc is sort of forcing himself to do things that the main character likes despite how much he dislikes it.

Parasite in Love - exactly what Nial is considering he's a parasite. He's taken the form, personality and general attitude of one of her crushes, as well as uses the things she love to manipulate her.

@tsukaramachi also has her oc named Yuuto that does the exact same thing, though in a less intense capacity.

I think there are a lot of other ones that have more small moments of trying to turn themselves into being more appealing towards the main character, but these are the ones I can think of? Hopefully they are similar to what you all are thinking of.

What four games best show how you spent your year?

1. Baldur's Gate 3 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Finished my first BG3 run! Also started 3 more runs. I do have some criticisms of the game, but honestly I'm so enamored with so many aspects of it that I do think it's a stellar game.

2. Mamiya: A Shared Illusion of the World's End - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - A mindfuck of a game. It's very teenage angst in the way it expresses the feeling of depression and alienation from society. Characters are crazy and lovable. The mood is insanely crafted.

Mamiya represents one of many other VNs I played this year - I'll talk about the rest below this list.

3. Dragon Age: The Veilguard - ⭐⭐⭐ - I love this game purely from a nostalgic standpoint, but I have a lot of criticisms. However, I think it was still a solid end to the series. I wouldn't say this is one of my top games of the year, but I spent a lot of time replaying and re-enjoying the Dragon Age series as whole in preparation for the release. So it does represent a lot of how I spent my year.

4. Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I'm still currently playing through this game, so there's no final score yet. I love the world-building!

Room No. 9 - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - This one is for the degenerates. (Mature content.)

Homicipher -⭐⭐⭐⭐ - This is the cutest horror VN and the language mechanic is so creative.

Malcatras' Maiden - ⭐⭐⭐ - Toxic yuri, but also throw in animal ears, maid outfits, and anime fights. (Mature content.)

Oh my god I only just realised something whilst replaying the 2nd chapter of Red's route: in the scenes where Yeonho is watching tv with Red, he's probably not doing it because he wants to but because he has to. Yeonho sleeps on the couch. If Red wants to watch TV at 11 o'clock at night Yeonho ain't got a choice but to watch it with him cuz he ain't got nowhere else to go and nothing else to do!! He hasn't got any kind of private space all to himself because he just sleeps on the couch.

i am! i am enjoying it a lot! I’ve only gone through lance and yeonho’s endings so far and i haven’t really clicked with either of them (lance has my favourite design but he’s just not a character type i enjoy much, i don’t think!) but i am looking forward to doing tei’s route. I think he has some secrets he is keeping from me!!!
