True Confession #4
Groupies… You Gotta Love ‘Em
(TW::Threesome, public sex, creampie,alcohol/drugs)
A long time ago…in another lifetime it would seem, I was the lead singer in a rock band. A fairly popular, club band around Boston. We had a pretty big following and played all the best clubs around the city.
  Being a singer in a band back in the day, was almost a guarantee you were going to get laid, and I absolutely admit that I cashed in on that every chance I got. 😂. That being said…
  One particular show, there were these 2 girls standing in front of the stage, one of which kept licking her lips and winking at me. At first it was a bit distracting, but then became kinda fun. About halfway through our set, she started making hand gestures like she was stroking a cock. That turned into hand signals simulating a blowjob. I totally admit, that I got hard as a rock. I was wearing really tight jeans and seeing as those were the days of me going commando (no underwear), you could totally see my growing bulge. Her eyes became focused on it. She leaned over and pointed it out to her friend. From up on stage, I could see both of them staring at it. Which excited me even more. Here I was trying to remember the words to our songs, and put on a good show, while I had both of these sexy ladies winking and blowing kisses at me. It was hard to concentrate on my performance, but I was totally into it and started to get excited at the possibilities the night had in store. Little did I know then, that before the night was over, I'd be fucking both of these women.
  After our set ended,  I came out from backstage and found them. We talked a bit and had a drink. Both women were curvy, and bodacious. Bbws one would say. Yes, I found that exciting. I still find curves and a round belly every bit as sexy as a flat tummy and a tiny waist. I have always been a lover of the womanly body in all shapes and sizes. I am still that way to this day.
 Their names were Kim (the one that initiated this) and her friend was Sharon. They were college students and roommates, and neither one was from Boston originally. They invited me back to their apartment, just a few blocks away. I told them I still had to load the equipment out, but they said they would wait for me.
  We walked a few blocks to their building….which incidentally is the building in Boston that has the big Citgo sign (the one that overlooks Fenway park).
It was a nice apartment and had a great view of the city. Kim made us all drinks and we hung out, talking and drinking. It wasn't long before Kim and Sharon began to get undressed, and started making out with each other. Of course, I was watching intentl, as they were licking each other’s nipples and fingering each other. They looked so hot and naturally, I was getting hard in my pants.
   Once they saw how into it I was, I was invited into the mix. They acted as if this wasn't their plan all along, but I knew that it was. I stood up, the two of them stripped off my clothes and then I settled between them.
 It was very hot to be three way kissing while being jerked off. Then one would go down on me, while I licked the other…then we’d switch. At one point, we had a circle going. Kim was blowing me, I was eating out Sharon, while Sharon feasted on Kim's pussy. When I came, Kim begged for me to cum all over her face. After I finished painting Kim's face with my cum, I watched as Sharon happily and greedily licked it off and cleaned her up. We all came hard, it was a great experience.
But wait… there's more.
Well,...Just when I thought it was over, the girls wanted to go out on the fire escape and smoke some weed. However they wanted to go naked. Sharon said she liked how the air feels on her wet pussy. And did she ever.
We got out onto the fire escape…all three of us not a stitch of clothing between us…. And we blazed up. Sharon started fingering herself on the fire escape steps. And whimpering with pleasure quietly. "I wanna get fucked. Right here. Right now" Sharon demanded with a smile.
   To that, Kim reached down, grabbed my cock, and led me (by my dick) to Sharon and guided my cock into her very wet pussy. I fucked her wildly on the fire escape. Kim was a bit curvier than Sharon, and she just cuddled up behind me and rubbed her body against mine as I fucked her friend. Sharon flipped over and wanted me to fuck her doggie style and arched her back and pussy up to me to do so. She had a super sexy curvy body that was like candy to my eyes.
   Immediately, I plunged my dick into Sharon and fucked her hard. Pulling her hair, slapping  and spanking her round, but well shaped ass. She moaned loudly, but it paled in comparison to the sounds of a busy Saturday night in Boston. We fucked this way for a while, until Kim started feeling left out. She positioned herself right next to Sharon on the steps, and was face down, ass up as well. I removed myself from Sharon and plugged into Kim. Kim's pussy was much tighter and it didn't take very long of me fucking her before I was ready to cum again. (To this day, I don't know if I ever felt a tighter, better feeling pussy in my entire life. Amazing).
   Anyhow, realizing I was about to cum, I tried to pull out. Sharon rallied and campaigned for me to come inside of Kim. I really wasn’t too keen on that idea, and again tried to pull out, but Sharon pushed my ass forward, forcing my cock back into her friend, where I came hard and filled her pussy with my cum.
After I finished cumming, I reluctantly removed myself from Kim's incredible pussy, and stepped back. Both Sharon and I watched as my seed began to spill out of Kim's pretty cunt. "Oh that's such a waste" Sharon giggled and bent down and licked all of my cum out of her friend. Kim who was on the verge of cumming, came almost immediately to the delight of her friend's tongue service.
I ended up spending the night with them. All of us sleeping naked in the same bed.  We had more sex and breakfast in the morning.
The three of us had several more experiences like that, until one day they both disappeared. Never to be seen or heard from again.
I guess Maybe they found a new favorite band. 😂

Love Conquers All
Part 2
Zuko x Male Reader
Word Count: 1643
-----------
The next morning Y/n followed Zuko back down to the kid's campsite. Y/n was half expecting them to have packed up and left, but he was happily proven wrong when they got down there.
The kids were sitting in a half circle, clearly waiting for the two of them to arrive. From the looks of things, they might actually be more open to talking to them today.
A look at the water tribe girl told Y/n that she still had a serious distrust for them that would be annoying to get past.
They approached the group. Y/n held back. He would be on guard for anything they might pull that could hurt Zuko.
"Um, so, you guys have something you want to say?"
Y/n guessed that if you couldn't count on the Avatar to break the ice then the world was doomed.
"Yes. I'm here because I know now that my destiny is to teach the Avatar firebending. I also wanted to say that I'm deeply sorry for all of my actions that have caused you pain or worry. I know that my apology doesn't fix everything, but I hope that it can help pave the way to better relations between us."
Y/n had missed this version of Zuko. He had been buried under so much pain and anguish, and had been desperately trying not to let anyone see it. It was good to have him acting more like himself again, but no amount of royal training was going to remove his awkward manner.
"Why should we believe anything you have to say? You've been chasing us around the world trying to capture Aang and kill us! We shouldn't even be sitting here listening to you!"
That girl was really sticking with her hard-done-by feelings. Y/n was going to have to keep a close eye on her around Zuko.
"Actually," the water tribe boy interjected, "I had a question about that."
He stared into the remains of their fire for a second before looking up at the still standing duo.
"Why didn't you just use your airbending to capture Aang? I mean, it looked like you were holding your own against Katara pretty well. When we first met you could have wiped the floor with us. So why?"
Y/n was surprised. The Water Tribe boy was more perceptive than he had given him credit for.
"It's a secret."
Bless Zuko for trying to take the question for him. Y/n sent a grateful smile his way.
"The Fire Lord has decreed that any airbenders are to be executed. If any are found, it's a death sentence."
Y/n looked around at the appalled faces of the kids. Finally it looked like they were starting to realise what they were involved in.
"How can you side with monsters like that?!"
Y/n turned furious eyes on the opinionated girl.
"I don't side with them! I side with Zuko."
"That isn't any better! So you're saying that if he decided to go back to the Fire Nation tomorrow you would just go with him?"
She was on her feet and flinging her words at him much the same way she had been with water the day before.
She turned back to her friends.
"This is why we can't trust them! I know you want to have someone else who's an airbender Aang, but he won't do the right thing if Zuko doesn't."
She spat Zuko's name like it was a bad word.
Aang turned big eyes on them.
"Would you really go back to them?"
"No."
"You just said----"
"I won't go back to them because Zuko won't. And I stand with him."
Y/n chanced a glance at Zuko only to find him already looking at him. He had that soft smile on his face that had been missing for years. Y/n was so glad that it was back. They reached for each other at the same time, fingers coming together and intertwining easily, familiarly.
There was a surprised intake of breath from the kids in front of them.
"Oh."
"Yeah, oh." Was Y/n's eloquent response.
"Well, that doesn't make it okay to do the wrong thing when you know it's wrong."
She was still lecturing them, but the wind had clearly gone out of her sails.
Y/n managed to pull his eyes away from Zuko and look back at the group.
"We really are on your side this time."
Y/n stilled. The air had shifted in the way that it did when it was trying to warn him of something, becoming electrified. He spun around, scanning their surroundings, trying to locate the problem. He spotted the man up on the cliff just in time to bring his sword up and deflect the wave of energy that he sent at them.
Y/n growled. His timing had been off, resulting in his returned wave being sent off in a different direction.
"You all need to get out of here! If he keeps this up, the whole temple is going to come down."
"Y/n, if you can keep him busy, we can try to find a way to get rid of him!"
The Water Tribe boy was apparently their leader, was Y/n's distracted thought as he stood waiting for the man's next barrage.
If they got out of this alive he was going to smack Zuko upside the head for ever hiring the assassin.
That was probably something that the group of kids didn't need to know about, Y/n thought absently.
He was almost too focused on the long distance fight between the two of them to notice Zuko attempting to distract the assassin from where he stood nearly beside him. When had he gotten over there?
Something whizzed by Y/n's ear and he was so distracted by the thought of Zuko doing something so monumentally stupid as to antagonise the most ruthless assassin in the Fire Nation from a matter of feet away, that he didn't even sense it until he felt the air move by him.
He watched as the boomerang flew true and struck the assassin in the center of his third eye. He felt the world slow down as he saw the man draw in a breath for another wave of energy, but instead of it being sent to where they were standing, it exploded in his face and in the air all around him.
Y/n's heart stopped when the whole side of the temple crumbled and fell. Zuko had still been up there.
His sword fell with a clatter that was muted in his ringing ears. He was over by the side of the temple before he even thought about it, scrambling to find Zuko. If he was gone then that was it.
Y/n felt a thought settle in the front of my mind. He felt a sickening sinking feeling in his stomach, but there was no denying it.
He turned empty eyes on the group who were all celebrating their lucky escape. It was their fault.
He stood at the edge of the temple, watching them, feeling the wind caress him. It was whispering something to him, but he still couldn't hear anything over the adrenaline still coursing through his body.
He took a step toward them, reaching for his sword but coming up empty. His gaze narrowed in on it, lying on the floor back where he had been standing.
He was shaking, he realised as he tried to take another step but found himself on his knees instead.
The wind was growing around him as he fell forward onto his hands. He could feel himself falling apart, but he couldn't seem to pull himself back together. He had always had Zuko for that, but the stupid self-sacrificing idiot had gone and gotten himself blown off the side of the temple.
There was a groan from the ledge Y/n was nearest to. The wind died suddenly.
Y/n turned his tear streaked face sharply in it's direction.
He recognised that voice.
Then he was scrambling once again for the ledge, and grabbing hold of Zuko's arm and pulling with everything he had until he had his idiot firmly in his arms and far enough away from the edge.
He squeezed his eyes shut tightly and held Zuko in his still shaking arms. Y/n hoped Zuko was comfortable because he was never letting him go again.
-----------
They had gathered around the fire that someone had restarted to sort out something for lunch.
Y/n had the feeling that his melt down hadn't gone unnoticed by at least one member of the group. When he had gone over to pick up his sword from where he had dropped it, the little blind girl had watched him with her unseeing eyes. He had just sheathed it and walked back over to Zuko's side, but she hadn't stopped watching him ever since.
Y/n was sitting by Zuko's side, too strung out from earlier to be properly on guard, but he was sure that since they had seen him in action they might be a little hesitant to attack so openly.
Once everyone had a bowl of food Sokka cleared his throat. He had an uncomfortable look on his face.
"So."
Y/n waited silently. This was Zuko's destiny, it was up to him to earn his place with the group.
"You know why we're here. Our reasons haven't changed. I think, it comes down to this. Can you trust us?"
"Look," Sokka started, "We don't fully trust you, but I think that's fair. I mean you chased us around the world, but we also saw what you did for us back there. You could have died trying to help. So we're willing to give you a chance. But just one."
Zuko's face lit up with his happiness. It was a sight that Y/n knew he would always enjoy.
"You won't regret this. I promise!"

Bloopers
Word count: 2150
Warnings: tickling, fluff
Ok, this one is a little different than the others I've written; it's about the actual cast (specifically our fav British actor Mr. Hiddleston 😉)
* * *
“And… cut! Alright, let’s move on to the next battle scene then.”
The voice of the director echoing through the set snapped you out of your thoughts. You stood up and stretched a little, preparing to film the first scene of the day that you’d be part of. Script in hand, you joined the other cast members on the set for the scene briefing.
It still felt surreal that you had actually gotten to this point. You had signed up for an audition the moment you’d heard this role was open, figuring you could at least get some exposure by trying out for a big-name movie like a Marvel movie. As an up-and-coming actress, you needed all the exposure you could get. Never in a million years did you think you’d actually land a part in the movie, let alone the role of a supporting character.
You were trying desperately to get over being star-struck by the actors and actresses you were working with. They were all surprisingly down-to-earth, nothing like you’d expected from such famous stars as these. The moment you’d arrived on set, they had welcomed you with open arms as they had all the cast members, no matter how small their role was. They’d been trying to get you to relax a little, to see them as friends and coworkers rather than A-list celebrities. And you were trying – really trying – but you were still pretty shy and reserved off-set.
“Ready for your first shoot of the day?” Chris Hemsworth asked as you approached the crowd of cast members standing in the middle of the set.
“Uh… yeah, I think so!” you replied uncertainly. You glanced down at the script in your hands. This particular scene didn’t have many lines, as it was mostly an action scene, but those were the scenes you tended to struggle with. You had gotten good at getting into character when you had to have conversations, but you really had to think hard about how your character would move in battle.
“Come on, you have to say it like you mean it!” he chided, grasping your shoulders in emphasis. “Try again – are you ready?”
“Yes sir!” you shouted. He laughed heartily, releasing you with a final pat on the shoulder.
“Alright, it may be a battle scene, but you aren’t a soldier. We’ll work on it.” The flowing crimson cape of his costume swished along the floor as he turned to find his place in the circle of cast members. You followed suit, slipping into an opening right beside Tom Hiddleston. He glanced at you with a warm smile, which you returned timidly.
“He can be a bit overenthusiastic sometimes, can’t he?” Tom whispered. You nodded, looking across to where Chris was now casually twirling his hammer by the strap on one finger. “He is right, though. I’m certain you’ll do just fine. Give yourself a little credit.”
“Thanks,” you said appreciatively. You turned to face the director as he reviewed the upcoming scene.
It was a pretty standard fight scene by Marvel standards. Your character was battling alongside Thor and Loki as the villain attempted to slip past your defenses to gain access to Odin’s vault of magic artifacts. Magic, explosions, weapon-swinging… the whole works. There were a complex number of camera angles included in the scene, which meant a lot of stopping and restarting of filming to change position.
Physically, this type of scene was exhausting. It required a lot of ducking, jumping, and running, not to mention a LOT of falling. It wasn’t uncommon for you to go home with a few scrapes and bruises after this type of active scene. Like Chris and Tom, you insisted on doing your own stunt work. It wasn’t like you were jumping from buildings or anything like that; you knew you could handle this yourself.
“Ok, next clip!” the director called out, prompting you to prepare for the most difficult part of the scene. In this part, your character is standing a bit too close to an explosion and is thrown backward into Loki, who catches you before you fall backward onto the ground. You stood still as the stunt crew hooked you up to the wire that would yank you backward.
“Nervous?” Tom asked, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder.
“A little, maybe. Is it fun, being dragged around on the wire?” you inquired.
“It’s a bit like riding a roller coaster. Except… you’re not in a cart, and you may crash into things.”
“Hmm. Comforting.” He patted your shoulder firmly a couple of times before walking past you to get into position for the shot.
“Alright, y/n, we’re not going to count down for you – we need a genuine element of surprise in this scene. Got it?”
“Understood,” you confirmed. Your heart was racing with adrenaline, anticipating the moment you would feel the rope tug you backward. Not to mention, Tom was going to be the one to catch you. Your heart fluttered a bit more at that thought.
It felt like minutes went by, although it was probably only seconds. Suddenly you felt the harness under your costume tighten around your waist as the wire finally pulled you backward. True to character, your arms flailed out as your heels slid backward across the floor for a millisecond before Tom caught you, sliding his hands under your outstretched arms to hold you up.
The sudden gentle pressure of his fingertips under your arms tickled like hell. Your knees buckled a little and you yelped in surprise. Tom lowered you to the ground, giving you a moment to rest after your first take.
“The fall was perfect, y/n, but try not to bend your knees like that when Tom catches you. Remember, you’re supposed to be a fierce warrior; your character would jump right back up to their feet,” the director called from off set. You avoided Tom’s gaze as he helped you to regain your footing.
“Did I hurt you? You shouted when I caught you,” he asked, concern weighing in his tone.
“No! Nope, I’m fine, sorry. Just got nervous. First take and all, you know?” you responded quickly, trying to hide your blush.
“Understandable. I recall the first time I was pulled down to the floor by a wire during the infamous ‘Hulk smash’ scene…” he chuckled. “I’m just glad I didn’t hurt you.”
You set up for a second take, this time heart pounding for different reasons. How embarrassing would it be if Tom found out what really happened there? You needed to focus more this time.
This time, when the wire grew taught, you were at least prepared for the swooping sensation in your stomach as you slid backward. Once again, Tom caught you right on cue, his hands lifting your upper body up from under your arms. It still caught you off guard how much it tickled. You let a giggle slip out and went limp in his arms again, nearly causing him to drop you to the floor.
“Cut!” The director walked closer to you and Tom so you could hear him better. “Don’t forget – don’t bend your knees. And it’s probably breaking character to be grinning like that after getting launched by an explosion.”
“I know it’s fun doing stunts and all, but you have to think like your character even during the action scenes,” Tom advised, helping you up off the floor once again.
“It’s not that! I just… never mind,” you mumbled, feeling your cheeks burning again. Tom raised his eyebrows at you in confusion.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” he asked, ducking down to catch your gaze as you stared down at your feet.
“Promise. I’ll get it this time,” you assured.
You both set up for take three, this time determined you would get it completely right. You gritted your teeth, trying to envision the actual explosion they’d be adding with CGI later. The wire tugged, and you flew backward once again into Tom’s waiting arms. You almost maintained your composure, until he started to pull you to your feet, fingertips digging into the hollows under your arms. You shrieked, letting out a few more giggles as you stumbled forward to evade his fingers.
“Cut!” You steeled yourself and turned around to look at Tom, who was giving you a confused look. You shot him a look of apology.
“Am I missing a joke? Did Hemsworth put you up to something?” Tom asked, placing his hands on his hips, a grin tugging at his lips. Even after you ruined the take three times in a row, he only used the kindest tone with you. You couldn’t lie to him.
“No… I just… when you slide your hands under my arms to catch me, it… it sort of tickles. A lot,” you mumbled sheepishly. You risked a glance up from the floor to look at Tom, whose eyes had lit up with understanding.
“Ahh! Now it all makes sense!” he exclaimed. “Well, I do apologize; it was not my intention to tickle you. I’ll try not to this take.” He shot you a mischievous wink, not unlike his character.
“Thanks… I’ll try to keep my composure this time,” you promised.
The director shouted additional directions and reminders to you as you set up for yet another take. As you got into position, you turned your head to look at Tom standing behind you. He grinned at you, although you couldn’t tell if it was a smile of encouragement or a mischievous smirk. Maybe it was the costume…
The wire tugged you backwards once again, and the outcome was the same. Tom even tried to catch you closer to your upper arms, but the sensation was still too much for you to handle. A rapid stream of giggles bubbled from your chest as your muscles weakened once again. Tom was laughing with you this time, though, now that he knew better.
“You did that on purpose!!” you exclaimed, spinning around to face him once you’d regained your footing.
“On purpose!?” His mouth dropped open in mock offense. “You think I did that on purpose?? Come here, and I’ll show you ‘on purpose.’” You shrieked, spinning around to run away, but he grabbed hold of your wrist before you could get very far. He tugged you backwards, trapping you against him in a bear hug.
“Wait!! C-can’t we talk about this?” you begged.
“Sorry, no can do.” Before you could protest further, Tom’s fingers were digging into your ribs, eliciting a startled squeal from you. He laughed out loud at your overzealous reaction. “Mahaybe… eheh… maybe this will help you get all the giggles out, hmm?”
“No, Tom, wahahait!!” you begged, folding into yourself and twisting around to break his hold without success.
“I apologize, my dear, but this is for your own good. Can’t have you continuing to mess up these takes, now can we?” His fingers darted up and down your sides and ribs, and your knees buckled beneath you, sinking to the floor. Tom followed you down, still holding fast while he continued to skitter his fingertips over your belly.
“Stahahap!!” you pleaded, grasping feebly at his wrists as laughter poured out of you.
“Now, honestly, y/n – this is supposed to be a battle scene and you’re laughing like a schoolgirl,” he teased, wrestling to hold you still while he continued to torment you. “How are we going to get through this scene if you don’t start taking it seriously?”
“THEN STAHAHAP TICKLING MEHEHE!” you retorted, yelping as his hands spidered higher up your ribcage.
“Oh, is that what I’m doing?” Tom wrapped one arm further around your ribs so he could pull your arms up, giving him unrestricted access under your arms. He scribbled maddeningly gently at the hollows, making you explode with uncontrollable laughter.
“OK! OK! IHIHI’LL GET IT RIGHT THIS TIHIHIME!!” you shouted. Deciding you’d had enough torture, Tom finally released you from his hold. You took a moment to catch your breath before looking up at your fellow castmates, who were smirking at you, much to your dismay. You felt heat rising to your face as you picked yourself up off the floor, turning to face a grinning Tom (who was looking more and more like Loki by the second with that mischievous gleam in his eye).
“Well then! I’ve had my fun for the day,” he announced casually.
“Thahat was so mean!” you groaned. He stepped closer, wrapping an arm around your shoulders and squeezing you in a one-armed hug for a moment.
“You know you loved every second of it,” he teased.
“Shut up, you,” you muttered, pushing him away jokingly. The two of you got back into position to try the take again.
This time, you got it right. Because honestly, nothing could have been worse than the torment he’d just put you through. But, if you were being honest with yourself, he was right - you had loved every second of it.

hey, could you do a fic on how would the bad batch react to Omega's first period? idk if you've done it already, but i love your writing and you describe the characters really well!
I haven't actually written for Omega yet so I'm excited to dive into this one! Definitely love the single dad energy (x5... because in this house we pretend Crosshair was never left behind and it's the big happy family we all deserve)
Omega & The Bad Batch | 1.3k words
Tumblr media
Omega closed her eyes in an effort to stop the wave of anxiety that rose in her chest. But when she reopened them, she was met with that scary red stain again.
She was so confused. She didn't remember getting hurt. She wasn't in any pain. Where was this blood coming from? And how was she going to get it to stop? She really didn't want to have to tell the team about this. They already worried about her over every little thing. If she could just figure out what was wrong first....
A sudden knock at the refresher door startled her. Her heart raced as she heard Hunter on the other side.
"Omega? You alright in there?"
She could hear the concern in his voice and it made her panic. She quickly flushed the toilet and fumbled with her clothes.
"Uh, yeah... yeah, I'm okay, Hunter... Everything's fine. Almost done!"
Hunter wasn't fooled. He rarely was, much to her annoyance.
"Omega," he said evenly, "if there's something wrong, you need to let me help you."
"Nothing's wrong!" she said quickly, starting to turn in circles, unsure what else to do. She should probably put something down there to stop the bleeding, right? Until she could figure out what else to do about it.
"You're hurt, I can tell..."
She was unrolling a wad of toilet paper and paused as she remembered the Sergeant's heightened senses. There would be no hiding this. But she would have to try anyway.
She unlatched the refresher door, letting it swoosh open to reveal Hunter's hardened gaze looking down at her. She quickly stepped out and started making her way around him toward her bunk, careful to keep the toilet paper out of his eyesight.
"I'm not hurt. See? Everything's fine. Just using the fresher like everyone does. No big deal."
Her scene with Hunter was starting to attract the attention of the others. Tech and Echo peered down the hall from their seats in the cockpit while Crosshair and Wrecker paused their daily weapons cleaning to watch.
"You're hiding... toilet paper," said Crosshair, perceptive as ever.
"And I know you're bleeding," said Hunter. "What did you do?"
Omega paused just below the ladder up to her little room. His comment made her snap. Why was he always assuming she was getting into trouble? It didn't matter that she'd been with them a few years now and had more than proven herself as an equal member of the squad. He was still suspicious and way too over-protective.
"I said I'm fine, Hunter!" she shouted. "Why can't you leave me alone?"
She climbed the ladder as forcefully as she could and threw the little curtain closed. She wasn't sure why she felt so angry, so emotional. It'd been like this for a few days now, where even the smallest things frustrated her, and she hated she couldn't control it. She didn't want any of them to think of her as a child anymore and these emotional outbursts certainly weren't helping. She clutched the toilet paper to her face and cried softly in it, forgetting about her little predicament for the moment.
On the other side of curtain, Hunter had moved to follow her up the ladder with an exasperated call of her name, but Tech stopped him.
"Hunter," he called from the cockpit.
"She's hurt, Tech," Hunter huffed over his shoulder, one hand on a ladder rung. He need only go up one step before reaching eye level with the curtain.
"Yeah," agreed Wrecker, ready to follow after her as well. "We need to help her."
Tech shook his head. "The best way to help her in this case is to understand her."
Hunter and Wrecker paused in their journey to look back at their brother, holding up a holopad in his usual signal of having more information than them. They shared a look before reluctantly changing course to see what Tech had to say. Even Echo and Crosshair were leaning forward in curiosity.
"I started researching after Omega mentioned having pains in her abdomen yesterday. Coupled with her more sensitive emotions lately and the odd blemishes that have appeared on her face, I wondered if it wasn't all connected somehow."
Tech looked between all of them, dragging the explanation out as he always did, delighting in being the one to teach them something. Usually Hunter could ignore his brother's theatrics, but he was already on edge knowing Omega was hurt. He couldn't be so patient now.
"And?" he prompted with an annoyed furrow to his brow.
"There are a few explanations, but your mention of bleeding has confirmed my primary suspicion. Omega has started what is known as her menses."
The others only blinked in response. Tech held back a self-important smirk and continued to explain.
"You are all familiar with the concept of puberty, yes?"
They nodded slowly. Even with their accelerated growth, the clones had still experienced a degree of it.
"Well, with girls, it is accompanied by the start of their menstrual cycle, which is a process by which the body naturally discards the inner lining of the uterus, roughly every twenty-eight rotations. It is ultimately a sign that pregnancy has not occurred."
The air in the small space of the ship immediately became anxious as the others fully processed Tech's words.
"Oh."
"Uh...."
"Hmm."
"Oh my..."
Tech pushed his glassed up matter-of-factly, the only one unbothered by such things. "It's a natural bodily process for most female humans. And it does lead to the other symptoms we've been noticing from Omega. The cramps, the pimples, etc. All a normal part of the process."
"Is that true?"
It was Omega's voice that reached them, and they all turned to see her timidly standing nearby. It was clear she had overheard enough of Tech's lecture so that it wouldn't have to be repeated.
"It really is normal?"
"You know if Tech says so, then it must be true," said Echo with a friendly smile, the first to recover from the awkwardness, mostly to throw in a little jab at Tech.
Hunter found himself feeling guilty. Looking at how shy and scared Omega stood before them, he knew she was going to need their full support in figuring out this strange new part of herself.
"And it's nothing to be worried about," he affirmed, instinctually bending lower to face her, even though she was getting tall enough now where he didn't really need to do that. "I'm sorry I upset you earlier. I just wanted to make sure you were okay."
"I know," she said, wiping at her eyes. "And I'm sorry for yelling at you."
"So what do we do about it?" asked Wrecker. "She's just going to be bleeding forever?"
"Of course not," said Tech, his voice edged with annoyance. "Didn't you listen? It's a cycle. It'll run its course over the next several days, and then she'll be fine for about another month. It varies from person to person... In fact... You should probably have a calendar to track it, Omega."
While Tech got up to dig around in a chest of old holopads, Echo leaned over to look at the scans on the ship.
"There's an outpost only one short jump away, near a human-inhabited planet. Surely there will be some special supplies for this sort of thing there."
"And if you still need to blow off steam," said Crosshair, "we can test out that new blaster I got on those old clanker heads."
"Okay," said Omega, perking up with every offer of help from the boys. "I'm also kind of hungry..."
"I got you covered there, kid," winked Wrecker.
Hunter placed his hand on her shoulder. "We've all got you, Omega. We'll figure this out together."
She started tearing up again, only this time it was in relief. What had started as something scary and mysterious and embarrassing, had now turned into a rally of support and love from her team. Her family.
It also seemed like a great opportunity to be spoiled a little... She'd have to work on figuring that part out herself....

The Death of a Bard
Rating: T Warnings: None WC: 1,783 Tags: Modern AU, family shenanigans, Geralt is a good dad, fluff, nobody is dead i swear
Geralt sniffed and subtly wiped a tear from his eye as Yennefer stood beside him, a hand on his shoulder. Eskel stood on Geralt’s other side, a box of tissues clasped in his large hands. In front of them, Jaskier laid in the long makeshift coffin, his hands clasped over his stomach with flowers tucked under them. They were just wildflowers that Ciri found out in the backyard where they were all standing, but it’s how Jaskier would have wanted his funeral to be like. Off the cuff, nothing grand, a cheap cardboard box instead of a grand and beautiful coffin of mahogany and a plush velvet interior. Geralt knew that this was what the humble musician would have always truly wanted.
Lambert stood on the other side of the box. “Dearly beloved and hated, we are here to celebrate the death of Jaskier—“
“It’s to celebrate the life, Lambert,” Geralt interrupted. He cleared his throat and sniffled again. “He had a good life. He deserves to be celebrated.”
“Yeah yeah, whatever,” Lambert retorted with a scoff. He fumbled with the wrinkled paper in his hands. He was dressed in his nicest outfit, which was his work uniform for the post office. It was sufficient. “We are here to celebrate the life of Jaskier, who died from a fatal gunshot wound in the stomach. He bled out slowly and painfully, murdered in cold blood.”
“Who would do such a horrible thing?” Eskel lamented, his voice watery. “He was so young. He had so many more years ahead of him, so much more music to make, so much— I’m running out of words.” He choked out a sob and took a tissue out from his box to blow his nose into it, comically loud.
“Nobody move,” Ciri called out, walking out with an oversized fedora on. It was nearly falling over her eyes as she stomped out, her chest puffed out despite the large trenchcoat she wore trailing half behind her on the ground. “We have reason to believe the murderer is among this group. Nobody gets in or out.”
Gasps came from all of them.
“Oh come on lady, all of us loved the guy. Some more than others,” Lambert said with a pointed look at Geralt, who flushed. “None of us would kill him. We don’t even have guns.”
“Is that so?” Ciri asked, showing them all a plastic ziploc bag. Inside was a tiny, bright pink water gun. “I’m Detective Cirilla. We found this on the crime scene.”
More gasps from all of them, though there was barely suppressed snickers from Lambert.
“You think this is funny, do you?” Ciri asked as she strode over to Lambert. “There is a man dead in front of us and you think to laugh? Sounds like something the murderer would do.”
“No I’m laughing because it’s a fuckin’ pink water gun,” Lambert interjected with a grin.
“Language,” Yennefer chided.
“No, it is the murder weapon and you better start giving an alibi or you’re going to jail for some interrogation,” Ciri insisted with a shake of the ziploc bag. The harmless water gun rattled around inside of it.
Lambert cleared his throat and put his hands up at the equally hard stares from everyone else at the funeral. “Fine,” he relented. “I was in the kitchen, getting dinner ready.”
“What were you cooking?” Ciri asked, her tone and glare so serious that Geralt even saw Yennefer have to bring a hand up to suppress a smile.
“Pancakes,” Lambert replied equally as seriously. He even crossed his arms and leaned down to meet Ciri’s glare, their noses nearly touching.
“Hm. A likely story,” Ciri relented with a huff. She marched over to Eskel and pointed a tiny finger up at him. Geralt had to hand it to him, he still managed to look convincingly frightened even with an eight year-old in a too big hat and far too big trenchcoat pouting up at him. “And what about you? What were you doing at the time of the murder?”
“I was just— reading with Kitty curled up on my lap. I wasn’t able to move, much less murder someone. I’ve never seen that gun in my life,” Eskel defended, his hands up. “I swear detective, I would have never!”
“I see, and you?” Ciri asked as she whirled around to point at Geralt.
“You think I would have murdered him?” Geralt asked, his tone coming out more flat than it probably should have. He wasn’t good at the theatrics like Eskel and Lambert were. “We just married last week, we were supposed to go on our honeymoon. You were there detective.” It was true, Ciri had married him and Jaskier last week.
“I see,” Ciri said, rubbing her chin as she thought. “But what about his will?”
“What about it?” Geralt asked.
“I have it here,” Lambert said as he cleared his throat. He pulled out a folded piece of paper from his pocket and unfolded it.
“Well? Don’t tarry on man, read it!” Ciri demanded. Geralt bit the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing. At least she was learning a wide range of vocabulary.
“Yeah yeah, it says ‘If I die, I leave all of my earthly possessions to my newly wedded husband Geralt, including…” Lambert gave a loud gasp.
“What does it say? Including what?!” Ciri asked.
“It says ‘Including my super duper big family inheritance that I have stored away in the coast of Belize’. He was loaded!” Lambert exclaimed.
“Let me see that,” Ciri said as she snatched the paper out of Lambert’s hands. She hummed as she looked over the paper, which really just had the will written out in crayon with multiple words misspelled, including Geralt’s name, but nobody commented on that. She gasped and waved the paper. “This will is forged! I knew it!”
Everyone else gasped as well.
“Forged?” Yennefer asked.
“Yes! His signature was faked,” Ciri decided as she showed the paper to Yennefer.
A loud snore from the “coffin” interrupted them, and Geralt kicked the cardboard box. Jaskier gave a yelp from the jostling.
“Corpses don’t snore,” Geralt chided.
“Sorry, sorry, I was just comfy, and you all were droning on, it faded into background noise,” Jaskier mumbled. He yawned and rubbed his eyes as he settled back in the cardboard box. He reached up with one hand, gesturing in a small circle. “Continue.”
“Thank you sir,” Ciri said with a nod. “Sorry about your death.”
“Thank you for your condolences detective,” Jaskier said. “I shall now go back to being dead now. Blargh.”
Geralt huffed a laugh as Jaskier put his hands back on his stomach and clasped them over the flowers again.
“Now! Who would gain from such a forgering, if not Geralt!” Ciri declared as she rounded back on Geralt. “You murdered your new husband in cold blood, to take his secret fortune for yourself!”
“I wouldn’t,” Geralt protested with another sniffle. “I— loved him. A lot. I was really looking forward to the honeymoon. We even had our entire trip planned.” He produced the two strips of green construction paper from his jacket pocket, with the words “Honeymoon tickets” written on them in crayon with a lot of little red hearts around the words.
“I see,” Ciri said, taking the tickets from him to inspect them carefully. “But then why forge the will?”
“I was framed,” Geralt sighed. “Someone must have wanted me to be out of the way. Someone who would have gotten the fortune instead.”
“Someone like..his long lost sister?!” Ciri asked as she pointed an accusatory finger at Yennefer.
“How did you know detective?” Yennefer gasped, a hand on her chest.
“In the victim’s bedroom, I found the actual will stuffed under the mattress!” Ciri said as she whipped out another piece of paper. Everyone gasped again. “But this one says the exact same thing as the forged one! Everything is to be left to Geralt, including his super duper huge family fortune! So why would Geralt have forged a will if he was going to get Jaskier’s family fortune anyways?” She waved the paper at Yennefer. “So I looked around, and found a chain of letters between you two! He wanted to reconnect with his lost sister, and told you about the fortune he inherited from your parents that he was going to share with Geralt!”
“It should have stayed in the family!” Yennefer cried.
“Exactly! And if the forged will was deemed trash and I hadn’t found the true will, then it would have gone to you!” Ciri said with a proud grin. She mirrored Yennefer’s pose, her hands on her hips as she puffed her chest out. “Case closed!”
“Argh, I was so close to getting away with it,” Yennefer said as she offered her hands for Ciri to clasp the toy handcuffs on her.
“Close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and— um.” Ciri paused, trying to remember.
“Certain nuclear weapons,” Lambert reminded her with a snicker.
“Yeah!” Ciri said with a grin. “Just like my Uncle Lambert always says!” She bounced and grabbed one of Yennefer’s hands. “The judge has already decided your sentence. It’s a thousand years in jail! We’re locking you away for a long time.”
“That seems fair for a murder,” Yennefer relented as she let Ciri tug her back into the house.
Geralt smiled as he watched them disappear inside, and he turned to help Jaskier stand up out of the box. Jaskier winced and rubbed his backside.
“Ah, that was cold,” he said.
“I told you,” Lambert snickered. “Not so funny when it’s your turn to be dead, now is it?”
“I think I liked it better when Ciri was marrying us to each other,” Eskel muttered. “Are you sure she should be watching those crime shows?”
“Can’t really stop her,” Geralt said with a shrug. “It teaches her big words, and at least that way we don’t have to try to explain to her what incest is and why it’s bad.”
“I was having the time of my life,” Lambert teased with a snicker. “I rocked that wedding dress.”
“Geralt wore it better,” Jaskier fired back with a grin.
“Dead people don’t get opinions,” Lambert said as he led the way to the house again. “Come on, let’s get inside before the detective eats all of the carrots.”
Jaskier slipped his hand into Geralt’s and kissed his cheek. “I absolutely would leave you my super duper big family fortune that I stashed on the coast of Belize if I had it,” he cooed.
“I know,” Geralt chuckled.
“Do you think she even knows where Belize is?”
“Probably not.”

Kotaro Bokuto | Us, Always
Pairing: Kotaro Bokuto x Fem!Reader (college au!)
Summary: when Bokuto finds out your ex is pestering you, his immediate response is to pretend to be your boyfriend
Warnings: mild language, creepy exes
Word Count: 1.9k
Tumblr media
Your morning was already ruined before they showed up.
As hard as you tried to ignore your ex, they were insistent on talking to you despite you politely - and sometimes not-so-politely - told them to leave you alone. It was a messy break up and they couldn’t get the message that you wanted nothing to do with them.
“I know you have a few minutes before your next class. Let me say something, please?”
“I really don’t have anything to say to you, as I’ve said multiple times. Please just leave me alone.”
With a roll of your eyes, you turned around only to be stopped by their hand holding onto your wrist. The way their hand felt on your skin made you want to curl into yourself. Just before you could say something, another hand came into view.
“Hey, hey, hey! We got a problem here? Don’t bother lying, because I know for a fact [Y/N] has asked you to leave her alone.”
Your ex glared at Bokuto before taking off, but not before glancing at you once more. You let out a breath you didn’t realize you were holding before turning towards Bokuto. You bowed respectively as you thanked him.
“You really didn’t have to get involved though, they usually stray away after awhile.”
“I could see how uncomfortable you were. Ah, I hope I didn’t make you more nervous by knowing your name. We’re in the next class together and I’ve heard you with your friends. I’m Bokuto Kotaro.”
You smiled, a small laugh escaping you, “I know, I’ve been to a few games since one of my friends is on the team with you.”
Bokuto smiled, “Really? Well now I’ll be sure to look for a familiar face in the crowd.”
He motioned for you to follow him, walking with each other to your next class. The conversation continued before class started, Bokuto giving you a reassuring smile.
“Why don’t you meet me after classes are over? I’d love to get to know you better.”
-
“Is your ex still bothering you?”
You nodded, “Yeah, every time you’re not around.”
Bokuto frowned, playing with the hem of his shirt. Once the two of you got to know each other better, you gave him details here and there of your past relationship and your ex. With the more information he received, Bokuto liked your ex less and less. Something about them just irked him, adding onto the fact he hated how they treated you.
“Well, I have an idea. It’s up to you if you want to go through with it.”
“Well, let’s here it.”
“What if we went out?”
You sputtered on your drink, covering your mouth before the liquid went everywhere. Bokuto rushed to help, rubbing your back as he handed you some napkins.
“Sorry, sorry! Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” you coughed, “just didn’t expect that. What do you mean go out?”
Bokuto sat back down, “I meant like fake dating. You said your ex only stays away when I’m around, so maybe if they get the idea you’re with me they’ll leave you alone.”
“Oh, I don’t know. I don’t want to put you in an uncomfortable position or anything.”
“It was my idea. If anything, I’m tired of them making you uncomfortable. I wanna help.”
“How about I think about it?”
He nodded, “Sure, just know I’m always here. Whatever you need.”
You quickly shoved the butterflies in your stomach away.
-
It was at Bokuto’s next practice game where you agreed. Your ex had been pestering you more when you weren’t with Bokuto and the day just really got on your nerves. Walking into the gym, you found Bokuto and waited for him to notice you by the bleachers. He waved excitedly before excusing himself from the conversation he was having before coming over to meet you.
“Hey gorgeous, what are you doing here?”
You sighed, playing with your fingers nervously, “That plan we discussed the other day? Is that still an option?”
Bokuto pondered for a moment before nodding quickly, “Yeah, of course. Fuck, you look so stressed out. What happened?”
“It’s just been a really long and difficult day.”
He nodded in understanding before pulling you into his arms. Your own circled his middle, hiding your face in his chest. He smiled, giving you a quick squeeze before pulling away.
“Practice is going to start soon. Why don’t you stay and watch and then I’ll walk you back to your dorm? We can discuss things further.”
You nodded, “Sure. Thanks, Bokuto.”
He gave you a sweet smile, “Anything for you.”
He sent a wink your way before jogging back out to the gym floor. You sat on the bleachers, eyes widening every time he hit the ball. Even if you didn’t know the sport well, it was clear Bokuto would make it very far if went professional.
After practice, Bokuto came over to you. He wiped his brow with a small towel, grabbing his water bottle.
“I’m gonna take a fast shower and then we can leave. I can have one of the guys sit out here with you if you want.”
“No, it’s okay. They’re probably all tired. I’m fine, promise.”
He squeezed your hand as he stood, “If you’re sure. My phone’s in my bag if you need something. I’ll be as quick as I can.”
True to his word, Bokuto was out of the shower quickly, his hair still slightly wet when he came out to meet with you. You followed him out the door, laughter filling the air around you as he told you a story from his past.
“You’ll have to meet Akaashi sometime. I think you two would really get along.”
You smiled, “Yeah? Well, maybe we can arrange it. Oh, turn here. My building’s around the corner.”
Bokuto followed you up to your room, glancing around at the little things you had laying around. He stood in the doorway awkwardly as you moved some things around.
“You can sit wherever, my roommate spends most of her time at her boyfriend’s place so we have no interruptions.”
He nodded, placing his gym bag down and sitting besides you. It didn’t take long for the two of you to discuss the plan and whatever boundaries you wanted to have. Bokuto was an absolute sweetheart, as you’ve come to know, and wanted to make sure you were happy with everything.
“Maybe you could come to my games too? I mean, not just for this plan but I genuinely enjoyed having you there tonight.”
“I’ll be there.”
-
You didn’t miss the way people looked at you and Bokuto the next day. People were jealous of both you and it honestly was a bit overwhelming. Bokuto squeezed your hand, giving you a reassuring smile.
“Ignore them, they’re just mad. Whatever they’re saying or thinking means nothing.”
You leaned into him more, your free hand resting against his arm. A triumphant smile made its way to your lips when you spotted your ex looking at the two of you, and you knew the plan was working.
Bokuto stopped in front of your first class, thumb brushing against your cheek once you lifted off of him.
“I’ll see you later, okay baby?”
You nodded, smiling as he planted a kiss to your cheek. His hand slowly left your waist, a smile resting on his lips before going to his own class.
Once again, you pushed the butterflies away, reminding yourself this was all fake.
-
Your plan with Bokuto went on for another month before your ex confronted you both. Bokuto treated you to a date after a hard week of classes and practice. Fake or not, he wanted to treat you well. As the two of you were talking, Bokuto quickly got up from his seat once your ex started walking towards you.
“Seriously? This is getting out of-“
“You don’t shut up do you? I’m here to talk to [Y/N].”
You rolled your eyes, “What could you possibly want now?”
“You’re not actually dating him, are you?”
Your heart started racing, panic rising in your veins, “Uh, yes we are? Are you that dense?”
“Really? Then how come I’ve never once see you two kiss? Is this all a ruse to make me jealous or something?”
You exhaled sharply through your nose before standing, “I don’t know how many time I need to tell you, but I want nothing to do with you. Whether I’m with Kotaro or not is none of your business.”
Bokuto smiled at the mention of his first name, something he wanted to hear you say over and over. He maneuvered his arms around your waist, holding you as he glared at your ex.
“Fine, kiss him and I’ll believe you.”
“Or I could just knock you on your fucking ass and call it a day.”
You shook your head, knowing if he got into a fight he wouldn’t be able to play the big game coming up. Turning around, you face him with a sweet smile.
“It’s fine, Ko. If it’ll get them to leave us alone.”
Bokuto checked to see if there was any signs of you being uncomfortable before he leaned in. Your hands gripped onto his dress shirt as your lips pressed to his. His nose gently rubbed against your own before deepening the kiss. Teeth nipped at your bottom lip before he pulled away, chuckling at your ex’s retreating figure.
“Serves them right. So, are you okay after all that.”
You nodded, “Just glad to have you with me.”
-
Things changed between you and Bokuto after that. It was a few days later when he found himself outside your dorm. You had no afternoon classes that day and he didn’t want to wait until later to see you. He knocked on your door, a soft smiling pulling on his lips when he saw you.
“Hey, I need to talk to you about something.”
You welcomed him in, shutting the door behind you once he was settled. You could see the stress on his features, even as he tried to hide it.
“What’s wrong?”
“I’m sorry, but I can’t do this fake dating thing with you anymore.”
You nodded, “I figured as much. You’ve been avoiding me, I figured I did something to upset you.”
Bokuto stood, placing his fingers under your chin, “You did nothing wrong, I don’t think you understand me. I can’t do this fake dating, but I want to date you for real.”
“Scared me, thought you didn’t want to be around me anymore.”
He chuckled, his arms encircling you, “Sorry, you’re stuck with me. I mean, if you want me around that is.”
You nodded, “As long as you want me, I’m yours.”
Bokuto smiled, “So, does this mean I can take you on a proper date now? Make you mine?”
You chuckled, “Yes, of course.”
“Well that’s good,” Bokuto bent down to kiss you, “because you had my heart from the day I met you.”
The butterflies in your stomach told you, you felt the same way.

MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
< previous chapter
Word Count: 3,050ish
Summary: The separate teams prepare for the battle against Thanos. (gifs aren’t mine)
Tumblr media
Y/N was standing in front, staring at space as it whizzed by, when Tony came over and wrapped his arms around her from behind. He pressed a kiss just behind her ear, pulling her closer.
“What are you thinking about?” Tony whispered.
“How I’m suppose to be prepared for something, but I have no idea what,” Y/N whispered.
“The fate of the universe is not on you.”
“But it is, Tony… and there’s—“
“No.” He quickly, yet carefully, turned Y/N around to face him. “This is not on you.” His hands held Y/N’s face to look at him. “Whatever happens is not your fault.”
“You can’t say that. We don’t know what will happen yet.”
“You’re right, we don’t. But I will not let you feel the way you are feeling. And I promise, that I will not let anything happen to you.”
“I’m not worried about me… I’m worried about everyone else… it’s too much… it’s all too much…”
Her eyes were tearing up, and this was all breaking Tony’s heart. He pulled her into his chest, cradling her head. It was killing him to see her like this, but he really didn’t know how to fix it. Tony didn’t understand exactly what Y/N needed to do, and he was coming to the conclusion that she didn’t either.
The two could feel the engines begin to slow. With Tony keeping an arm around Y/N, the two looked through the large window. The ship was approaching a planet. Peter and Dr. Strange joined the couple by the window.
“Hey, what’s going on?” Peter asked.
“I think we’re here,” Strange replied.
“I don’t think this rig has a self-park function,” Tony said, looking around. He left Y/N’s side, waving Peter over to where he was going. “Get your hand into this steering gimbal. Close those around it. You understand?”
“Yep, got it,” Peter responded, quickly following Tony’s directions as Tony put one of his arms in it as well.
“This was meant for one big guy, so we gotta to move at the same time.”
“Okay. Okay. Ready.” Out the window, Y/N could see that the ship was heading straight for the center of some wreckage. “We might wanna turn. Turn! Turn! Turn!!”
Tony tapped his reactor, armoring up. “Y/N! Get over here!”
Before Y/N could reach Tony’s side, the ship clipped a piece of rumble on the planet, throwing Y/N to the side. Peter has his helmet come up as Dr. Strange stepped between them, creating a shield for the rough landing. As the ship, shook and plowed through the dirt, Y/N portaled herself over to Tony. She wrapped her arms around him to keep steady, only for them both to be thrown to the ground. Parts of the ship flew off before it finally came to a stop. Tony’s helmet disappeared as he searched Y/N for any injuries. He quickly noticed that her breathing was fast and her eyes were clenched shut.
“Honey, honey,” Tony called. “You’re okay. Hey, look at me. Look at me.” She shakily looked up at Tony from her position curled up into his side. “We are safe. You are okay. You’re not hurt. Right?”
“I… I’m… o-okay…” Y/N stuttered softly.
“You haven’t had something like that in awhile.” Tony sighed before kissing her head. “I’ll get us out of here. I promise.” Dr. Strange came over and helped them up. “You alright?” Tony asked Strange, who nodded. “That was close. I owe you one.”
“Let me just say,” Peter started, descending from above like a spider, “if aliens wind up implanting eggs in my chest or something, and I eat one of you, I'm sorry.”
Tony pointed at Peter. “I don't wanna hear another single pop culture out of you for the rest of the trip. You understand?”
Tumblr media
“I'm trying to say that... something is coming.”
Suddenly, a grenade rolled into view and the foursome was thrown back as it fired an energy pulse. Three beings appeared in the doorway.
“THANOS!” A blue man yelled.
He flung a blade at Dr. Strange, who deflected it with a mystical shield and in return his cloak smothered the man’s face, throwing him to the floor. Y/N and Tony were quickly on their feet. One of the men went straight for Tony. They have a brief dogfight until a magnetic disc pinned Tony face first to a structure. An alien woman came up from behind Y/N, putting her hands on her head, entering her mind.
“Sleep,” the alien woman commanded. Y/N dropped to the floor, unconscious.
“Y/N!” Tony shouted.
The alien walked towards Peter, who was crawling back frantically. “AH!” Peter exclaimed. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Please don’t put your eggs in me!”
Peter shot a web at Mantis in a panic, pinning her arms to her body just before the man that attacked Tony flew at him feet-first, kicking him away.
“Stay down, clown!” The man ordered.
The man fired at Spider-man, who extended his spider legs and leapt away. Peter couldn’t get far before an electric-like cord wrapped around him and his six new legs. It set him rolling across the deck.
“Die, blanket of death!” The blue man cried, struggling with he cloak.
Tony pulled free of the magnet and stepped on the blue man’s torso. The cloak pulled free as soon as Tony had the man securely under his foot. The other man had Spider-Man in a head-lock, gun pointed at his head. Dr. Strange had a musical shield up and stood ready to attack. The alien woman struggled to her feet, still covered with webbing.
“Ugh…” Y/N groaned, slowing sitting up while holding her head.
“Y/N,” Tony called. “Are you—“
“Alright, everybody stay where you are!” The man holding Spider-Man in a headlock ordered. “Chill the F out.” The man powered off his helmet. “I’m gonna ask you this one time. Where’s Gamora?”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tony hid his helmet as well. “Yeah, I'll do you one better,” Tony responded. “Who’s Gamora?”
Tumblr media
“I’ll do you one better. Why is Gamora?” The man beneath Tony’s foot fired back.
Tumblr media
“Tell me where the girl is, or I swear to you, I'm gonna French-fry this little freak,” the man holding Spider-Man threatened.
“Let's do it!” Tony responded, extending a nano-tech canon at the blue man. “You shoot my guy, I blast him. Let's go!”
“Do it, Quill! I can take it!” The blue man exclaimed.
“No, he can’t take it!” The alien woman replied.
“She’s right,” Dr. Strange said. “You can’t.”
"Oh yeah? You don't wanna tell me where she is?” Quill continued. “That's fine. I'll kill all four of you and beat it out of Thanos myself.” He looked at Spider-Man. “Starting with you.”
“Stop!” Y/N yelled, freezing everyone in place. She stood up. “No one is killing anyone!”
“Why can’t I—“
“She’s controlling us,” the alien woman stated. “She’s extremely powerful.”
“Wait, what? Thanos?” Dr. Strange questioned, realizing what Quill had said. “Alright, let me ask you this one time: What master do you serve?”
“What master do I serve?” Quill repeated. “What am I supposed to say? “Jesus”?"
“You’re from Earth?” Tony asked.
“I'm not from Earth. I'm from Missouri.”
“Yeah, that's on Earth, dip-shit. What are you hasseling us for?”
“So, you’re not with Thanos?” Spider-Man questioned.
“With Thanos?!” Quill repeated. “No, I'm here to kill Thanos! He took my girl- Wai- who are you?”
Spider-Man’s helmet disappeared. “We’re the Avengers, man.”
“Oh.”
“You’re the ones Thor told us about!” The alien woman stated.
“Thor,” Y/N breathed out, still keeping everyone in place.
“You know Thor?” Tony asked.
Tumblr media
“Yeah,” Quill responded. “Tall guy, not that good-looking, needed saving.”
“Where is he now?” Dr. Strange asked.
“With our other friends, going to make a weapon,” the woman responded.
“Y/N, you can let us go know,” Tony said.
With a deep breath, Y/N let everyone be free. They all moved to standing positions, Tony beside Y/N.
“So you’re Y/N?” The woman walked up to her. “Thor mentioned you.”
“Really?” Y/N questioned.
“He said you were powerful,” Quill stated. “But he also said you were on Earth.”
“Yeah, guess not all Thor says is true.”
“Star-Lord, by the way,” Quill introduced himself.
“Right,” Tony nodded. “I’m Iron Man. This is Dr. Strange and Spider-Man.” He pointed to the others he introduced.
“I’m Drax,” the blue man said.
“And I’m Mantis,” the alien woman added.
“Okay, now that introductions are out of the way,” Tony started, “let’s go see what’s out there.”
Grabbing Y/N’s hand, Tony led her, and the others, towards an opening in the ship. The planet outside had clearly been through something war-like, and there was no sign of life anywhere. Star-Lord went down on one knee, getting out some sort of device.
“The heck happened to this planet?” He wondered. “It’s eight degrees off its axis.” He stood up. “Gravitational pull is all over the place.”
“Yeah, we can see that,” Y/N commented, looking at Mantis who was jumping joyfully high up in the air behind Star-Lord.
“Yeah, we got one advantage. He’s coming to us,” Tony stated. “We'll use it. All right, I have a plan. Or at least the beginnings of one. It's pretty simple. We draw him in, pin him down, get what we need. Definitely don't wanna dance with this guy. We just want the gauntlet.” Drax then choose this time to yawn. “Are you yawning? In the middle of this, while I'm breaking it down? Huh? Did you hear what I said?”
“I stopped listening after you said, "We need a plan.”” Drax replied.
“Okay, Mr. Clean is on his own page.”
“See, "not winging it" isn't really what they do,” Star-Lord responded.
“Uh, what exactly is it that they do?” Spider-Man asked.
“Kick names, take ass,” Mantis answered, meekly.
“Yeah, that’s right,” Drax agreed.
Tony paused, looking deeply hopeless. Quietly, Y/N’s breathing hitched as her head started buzzing. Thankfully, Tony didn’t notice to worry about it.
Tumblr media
“Alright, just get over here, please,” Tony continued. “Mr. Lord, can you get your folks to circle up?”
Tumblr media
“‘Mr. Lord’,” Star-Lord repeated with a chuckle. “Star-Lord is fine.” He motioned Drax and Mantis to come closer.
“We gotta coalesce. 'Cause if all we come at him with is a plucky attitude—“
“Dude, don't call us plucky. We don't know what it means. Alright, we're optimistic, yes. I like your plan. Except it sucks, so let me do the plan, and that way it might be really good.”
“Tell him about the dance-off to save the universe,” Drax urged.
“A dance-off?” Y/N repeated, trying to ignore the buzzing.
“It’s not a… it’s not… it’s nothing,” Star-Lord stuttered.
“Like in Footloose, the movie?” Spider-Man wondered.
“Exactly like Footloose! Is it still the greatest movie in history?”
“It never was.”
“Don’t encourage this, alright?” Tony told Peter.
“Okay.”
“We’re getting no help from Flash Gordon here.”
“Flash Gordon?” Star-Lord repeated. “By the way, that's a compliment. Don't forget, I'm half human.” He pointed at Y/N, Tony, and Parker. “So that 50% of me that's stupid? That's 100% you.”
“Your math is blowing my mind.”
“Excuse me,” Mantis nervously interrupted. “But… does your friend often do that?”
Everyone looked in the direction Mantis was pointing. Floating slightly above the ground, was Dr. Strange clearly using the Time Stone. Strange was cross-legged with green energy forming circular patterns around his forearms. His eyes were closed and his head jerked rapidly from side to side, blurring. The others went to his side.
As Y/N grew closer, a green strand of energy slowing touched her head. She froze and her eyes shone green. Everyone was too busy with Strange to notice though. Her vision quickly changed. It was dark at first, but slowly each of the Stones shined on a gauntlet. The fingers snapped and her field of vision was suddenly filled with people screaming and disappearing into ash. She looked around for anyone she knew, no one was recognizable.
Quickly, the setting changed. She was standing on a war-torn battle, that was vaguely familiar. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people and aliens were battling each other. She recognized many of those people as her family, her friends. They were dirty, bloody, and clearly fighting for their lives. Y/N looked around to see Thanos fighting herself.
“In five years time, the final battle will commence,” the Stones gravely voice filled her ears. “This is where you will be needed… If you try to stop what happens here today, we will stop you.”
Outside Y/N’s mind, Tony had made his was to Strange.
“Strange, we alright?” Tony wondered. Strange snapped out of his trance and fell forward, letting out a cry. “You’re back. You’re alright.” Tony steadied him.
“Hey, what was that?” Peter asked.
“I went forward in time to view alternate futures,” Strange Panted. “To see all the possible outcomes of the coming conflict.”
“How many did you see?” Star-Lord wonders.
“14,000,605.”
“How many did we win?” Tony asked.
Tumblr media
Strange stared intently at Tony for a moment, almost sad like. Before looking past him at Y/N. “One.”
Tumblr media
Everyone turned to look where Strange was looking. Y/N was still standing, with green eyes and green energy encircling her head. Tony rushed over, grasping Y/N by the arms.
“Y/N!” Tony called, trying gently to shake her out of whatever was happening. “Come on, honey. Push through!”

The quinjet ride to Wakanda was full of silent tension, silent worry. No one knew what exactly was coming, or how to stop it.
“Drop 2600, heading 0-3-0,” Steve instructed, walking up behind Sam who was piloting.
“I hope you’re right about this, Cap,” Sam said. “Or we’re gonna land a lot faster than you want to.”
From the looks of it, they were heading straight for the trees. But as the quinjet continued on, the tree were revealed to be a camouflage force field and the grand city of Wakanda appeared. Once they landed, Steve and Natasha exited first, with Rhodey, Bruce, Wanda, Vision, and Sam behind them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Seems like I’m always thanking you for something,” Steve stated as he reached out to shake T’Challa’s.
T’Challa shook Steve’s hand before looking at Bruce. “Uh, we don’t do that here,” T’Challa said, waving for Bruce to stop. “So how big of an assault can we expect?” T’Challa turned around and the team began following after him.
“Uh, sir, I think you can expect quite a big assault,” Bruce answered, trying to push his way closer to the front.
“How we looking?” Nat asked.
“You will have my King’s Guard, the Border Tribe, the Dora Milaje, and…” T’Challa trialed off, as Bucky walked up to the others.
“A semi-stable, 100-year-old man,” Bucky joked. With smiles on their faces, Steve and Bucky shared a hug.
Tumblr media
“How you been, Buck?” Steve asked.
Tumblr media
“Uh, not bad, for the end of the world,” he replied with a smile. “Have you… uh, have you heard from Y/N?”
Tumblr media
“Unfortunately, no,” Steve shook his head and sighed. “But I have heard she’s been sneaking around with you and Stark. You’re going to have to tell me all about it as soon as this is through.”
Bucky let out a light laugh. “As long as you buy the beer.”
~~~
Leaving Rhodey, Bucky, and Sam to watch from outside, the rest went and met Shuri in her lab. Vision laid down on an exam table while Shuri used her technology to create a hologram projection of the Mind Stone above him. Bruce was on the other side of the table, watching her very movement.
Tumblr media
“Whoa. The structure is polymorphic,” Shuri stated.
“Right, we had to attach each neuron non-sequentially,” Bruce told her.
“Why didn’t you just reprogram the synapses to work collectively?” Shuri asked. Vision turned to Bruce, seemingly asking the same thing with his eyes.
Tumblr media
“Because, we didn’t think of it,” Bruce answered with uncertainty.
Tumblr media
“I’m sure you did your best,” Shuri reassured with a smile.
Tumblr media
“Can you do it?” Wanda asked.
Tumblr media
“Yes, but there are more than two trillion neurons here. One misalignment could cause a cascade of circuit failures.” Shuri turned to T’Challa. “It will take time, brother.”
“How long?” Steve asked, stepping closer to them.
“As long as you can give me.”
A chime went off and Okoye quickly projected a hologram globe into her palm. “Something’s entered the atmosphere,” Okoye informed.
“Hey, Cap, we got a situation here,” Sam warned over the comms.
Tumblr media
Almost as soon as his words ended, a forcefield formed over the city. Bucky and Sam watched as alien vessels landed outside the barrier. One of them tried to go through, getting destroyed.
“Gosh, I love this place,” Bucky said.
“Yeah, don’t start celebrating yet, guys,” Rhodey warned. “We got incoming outside the dome.”
The landing vessels emitted shock waves and debris, destroying the forest. The Captain and the King looked at each other, both deeply concerned. Vision struggled to sit up and slide off the exam table, holding onto his side.
Tumblr media
“It’s too late,” he said. “We need to destroy the stone now.”
“Vision, get your ass back on the table,” Nat demanded.
“We will hold them off,” T’Challa stated as he and his guards started for the door.
Steve turned to Wanda. “Wanda, as soon as the stone’s out of his head… you blow it to hell,” He instructed.
“I will,” Wanda replied.
“Evacuate the city. Engage all defense procedures,” T’Challa commanded. He stopped before fully exiting the room, turned, and pointed to Steve. “And get this man a shield.”
Steve looked out the window, watching the ships crash land outside the barrier. He couldn’t help but wonder what all this had to do with his sister exactly. But there was a bigger question than that in his mind, a more important question.
“Where the hell are you, Y/N?” He whispered to himself.
more | yangyang (m)
Tumblr media
yangyang has gotten his way one too many times and this time you're going to make him earn it or yangyang slipping into subspace for the first time
words: 4.5k
warnings/tags: suggestive, almost smut, dom!reader, sub!yangyang, lowkey brat!yangyang, spanking, subspace, dirty talk?, some build up, a bit of fluff?
the soft blue glow of the television lit up the room, the anime long forgotten in favor of watching yangyang's slender fingers make patterns on the inside of your thigh.
he's leaning against your side, head slightly below yours and eyes transfixed on the animated fight scene in front of him, but his fingers continue to work shapes into your skin with purpose.
you thought maybe it was subconscious, but with yangyang, you know it's just to get you worked up. and it works.
everything yangyang does works on you which is part of the reason it irritates you so much. that and the fact that he's a huge brat. he's used to getting what he wants from you, even if it comes after some resistance.
you were never good at handling brats, you simply never tolerated the behavior. and for yangyang, it's easier to give in and let him have what he wants (it's definitely not cause you want to or anything).
yangyang is very vocal about how much he loves your thighs, always talking about having them wrapped around him and leaving marks all over them, so it's no surprise his hand ended up here.
you watch as he shifts slightly which causes his hand to ride just an inch higher up your thigh. he brushes his fingers across the skin softly and moves his thumb in circles, all the while his eyes stay on the screen.
you're sure he can feel you burning holes into the side of his head or at least sense your frustration, but he doesn't pay you any mind.
you think for a second that maybe he is just really into the show and his touching is more of a habit or unconscious thing. yangyang is a boy with a lot of energy and doesn't sit still very often. he's also very, very touchy.
you begin to relax and interpret his touches as soothing, trying to fill in the blanks of what you missed on the screen.
it's only after you've immersed yourself back into the 2d world that you feel yangyang slide his hand up your thigh and squeeze, his head tilting up and bringing his hot breath with it.
you feel a tingle down your spine and convince yourself you only had such a reaction because he caught you off guard. you don't respond. you don't even move.
he doesn't stop. instead he pushes forward and presses his lips into the corner of your jaw below your ear and you have to suppress the sigh that's in your throat. you don't like how much power he has over you and how he knows he can get his way so easily.
you decide in that moment that you're not going to give it to him this time. after all, it was his idea to start this show.
sitting up straight, you fold your legs up onto the couch, your knees pointed away from him and your feet touching his legs as he's still leaning against you. he's even lower now and you can see him look up at you with those big puppy eyes he knows how to use so well.
you keep yours trained on the screen, not blinking or swallowing until he shifts a bit and looks back to the tv. you can't help but feel triumphant, but if you know your boyfriend at all, this isn't the end.
yangyang is so used to getting what he wants, that it makes him act like a brat when he doesn't. like a little kid, he'll pout and whine and sometimes even throw a small tantrum. you find it cute since he's always saying he's not a baby and yet he acts like such a baby.
he isn't pulling those stops yet, but they're coming. this thought grounds you in your resolve. if he wants it, he's gonna have to beg for it.
after two more episodes of yangyang trying and failing to initiate any kind of intimacy, he starts to get antsy.
the entire time he never spoke a word, only using his body to try to communicate his desires. and when you basically ignored all his advances, it finally got to him.
you could feel him getting impatient and bit back a smile. his eyes were locked on the side of your head, willing you to pay attention to him. if there's one thing yangyang couldn't deal with, it was not getting enough attention from you.
in true toddler fashion, he shifted from side to side folding and unfolding his legs, moving closer to you then separating himself completely to sit back and look at you, all the while huffing and puffing.
you held in a smile at the thought of his frustration. is he that needy? he wasn't even watching the show anymore.
it wasn't until he was sat staring at your side for what felt like minutes that he finally broke. he moved in front of you on the couch so he was half in your lap and grabbed your chin with his hand to bring your face to his.
"why are you ignoring me?"
you feign a look of confusion. "ignoring you? i'm not ignoring you, we're watching tv."
he groans and rests his weight on the leg he's straddling. "yes, you are. since we started the show basically."
your brows knit together. "you haven't said a word to me, yangie, how could i be ignoring you?" you know exactly what he means, but you're going to make him say it.
he falls right into your trap and suddenly the assertive boy on your lap is gone, replaced with a more shy boy who can no longer look into your eyes as he speaks, but he tries to keep up the act.
"you know... when i was, like, touching you."
his voice dies down at the end but he's so close that you still hear it clearly. it sparks a flame inside of you that you haven't felt in a while.
you use the opportunity to take control of the situation, placing a hand on his thigh and rubbing it similar to how he did with you earlier and he tenses.
you want him to look at you. you want him to give in and tell you what he wants. as talkative as the boy is, he never asks for what he wants.
"what was that, baby?" you put on a look of slight concern so when he looks back up at you he sees your softened eyes looking at him.
the name had an effect on him and he begins shifting on your thigh. he's never been in this position. he's not sure what to say for the first time, so he doesn't say anything at all.
his hands grip at the bottom of your shirt as he wishes for you to just get the hint and fuck him.
"what do you want, baby boy? you gotta tell me so i can know how to help you."
yangyang doesn't like how you're speaking. talking down to him like he's some little kid, voice all soft and sweet. for someone else, that might have been enough to melt them on the spot, but for him, it just makes him want to resist.
he straightens up and and looks away from your soft eyes, his lip instinctively jutting out in a pout and his arms crossed. you almost laugh at how childish he can be sometimes.
"no." it was as simple as that. he separated himself from you but he was still hovering over your leg, barely making contact. you thought of shifting your leg up into his front to tease him but you wanted to play with him some more.
grabbing his hips in both of your hands, you push him down on your thigh so his legs are spread and he's almost eye level with you as you sit up and stare into his eyes.
with your head tilted you question, "no? no, you're not going to tell me what you want?"
he's facing you but his eyes are off to the side, still being stubborn, and he doesn't say a word.
a muscle twitches in your forehead and you grip his jaw and force him to look into your eyes.
"answer me." there's no malice in your tone. you're not even that bothered. you just want to show him who's in charge.
he pulls his face from you and leans back to get up but your other hand on his hip stops him. you're surprised for a second at how stubborn he could be. would he really rather walk away from you than just ask you to touch him?
"so you're not going to tell me why you were all over me a little while ago? why you were mouthing at my neck and groping at me like a bitch in heat?"
you knew he liked when you called him names. it was something he would never admit, but he couldn't deny how his body reacted to the obscene words. his whole body tensed and you could see the mask slipping off, but he was determined.
"why do you think?" yangyang spits back. your brow raises and you just stare at him. you know he's embarrassed, but to give you such an attitude is very uncalled for.
"excuse me?" you tighten your grip on him.
he doesn't hesitate and looks you in the eye, "i said, why do you think? are you dumb?"
you're shocked for a moment. even as bratty as he can be at times, surely your cute and sweet boyfriend would never call you that, right?
it's seconds later that you realize that he would, and he did, not because he actually thinks you're dumb, but because he wants to push you.
it worked. in a second you were pushing to stand as yangyang barely found his footing before he slipped off of your lap.
his heart skipped at the thought of you walking away mad at him. had he gone too far this time? but when he stood and faced you and saw the look in your eye as you glared at him, a single finger pointed toward your shared bedroom, he knew he'd gotten his way again.
"bed. now." your voice broke his thought and he decided to push you even further.
"and what if i don't want to?"
your brow twitched but you stood your ground.
"then you can get yourself off for the next week."
yangyang's eyes widened at that, almost comically. you'd never threatened him like that before. surely you didn't mean it. how could you resist him?
at his silence you prodded further, "i can just stay right on this couch and leave you with blue balls for the next seven days if that's what you want." you took a step closer to him. "or you can get your ass on that bed and be rewarded like a good boy."
he didn't know what to think. you'd never shown this kind of dominance to him before.
two minutes ago the thought wouldn't have interested him, usually he's the one in charge, but now seeing you all worked up and confident with that tone, he couldn't stop his dick from twitching in his pants. he liked this side of you, a lot. he liked thinking about you forcibly taking control over him and even being rough with him.
so many new ideas were entering his brain at once that he wouldn't be surprised if he was drooling right there.
the dazed look in his eyes didn't go unnoticed by you, nor did the shiver that racked his body.
you got him.
with this victory you grabbed his shirt by the collar and kissed him deeply, making sure to leave a bite on his lip as you pulled away.
his hair was messy and his face and neck were flushed, lips shining as they rested slightly agape. he looked so beautiful, gazing down at you with big doe eyes. you wanted to make him fall apart. a new desire that had never existed in your mind prior, but was much welcomed.
yangyang returned to himself and straightened, only giving you a small nod and lowered his head.
unable to see your wicked grin through his fringe, he followed as you grabbed his hand and pulled him down the hall to your bedroom.
a rush of excitement bloomed in your chest, traveling all the way down to your core. you wanted to try so many things with him. you wanted to ruin him.
yangyang didn't make a sound as he watched you expectantly, careful so not to break the mood.
he couldn't deny how excited he was. how hard it made him to see you looking so angry and being so rough. he could feel himself leaking into his boxers already.
"get on the bed, on your stomach."
your voice never faltered. it carried a weight with it that shot straight to yangyang's already aching dick.
he only hesitated for a second before letting himself spread flat across the mattress.
"what are you gonna do?" he wasn't sure if he should ask questions, but he was curious to know why you had him on his front rather than his back.
you approached him in slow strides and wordlessly curled your hands around his hips, pulling him to the end of the bed with so much force that he actually let out a yelp. he was bent over the edge of the bed so he was almost kneeling in front of you, and that's when it clicked.
yangyang's eyes went wide and he lifted his head to look at you but you were quicker, placing a firm hand on the back of his neck and leaning down to whisper by his ear.
"i'm gonna show you what happens to boys who wanna act like little brats."
you pushed off of him and returned to stand behind him. you were still for a moment as you watched him, scanning his entire body for any sign that he was uncomfortable with this or that he wanted you to stop.
you waited for any protest and when you received none, you went to work.
you started with your hands on his outer thighs, gripping both of them softly and rubbing in soothing motions as you went higher. he tensed and you slowed as you slid your hands over his still fully clothed ass. it was so small and firm. cute.
yangyang shifted back and forth slightly, not used to the sensation and slightly embarrassed at the attention he's receiving there. but he liked it. he wanted more.
when you found no sign of resistance, you pushed on, kneading at the soft flesh of his behind and letting your nails press into him from time to time.
yangyang put his head down in his bent arm to try to conceal himself and the noises that were escaping his lips. he was already enjoying this too much.
he wondered what this meant and if this would change anything about him, but mostly he wondered what other things you'd be willing to try with him. to do to him.
he was brought back by the sound of your voice, softer and lighter in tone this time.
"if you want me to stop at any or point or don't like it, please tell me. okay, angel?"
angel? you'd never called him that before. especially not in these circumstances. it made him shiver and want to push himself back into your touch. he felt so needy and hot and just a bit lightheaded.
"yangie?" you placed a soft hand on the small of his back.
right, he needed to answer you.
yangyang turned his head to face you and nodded, "okay."
his skin was flushed and he looked so vulnerable in this position, it made your heart swell. you forced down your feelings for later and smiled at him, returning his nod.
"i'm going to start off easy, i want you to keep count for me, okay?" you hooked your fingers under the waistband of his sweats and boxers. "and you better not move from this position."
in one swift motion you pulled his clothes down so they fell to his thighs, his pert ass exposed to you, bringing a smirk to your lips.
"you have such a cute little ass, you know that, baby?"
he squeaked. he actually squeaked at that. you've never complimented him like that. sure, you've told him he's cute or handsome and even complimented him on his chest and shoulders, but you've never talked to him -about him- this way. it made him feel small and powerless like he was some little toy for you to use. and he loved it.
he buried his face deeper into his arm and just wiggled slightly in response, eager for you to put your hands back on him and just touch him.
you chuckled lowly and grabbed a handful of the flesh of his ass. "nothing to say now, hm?"
you pulled your hand away and lifted it above him, quickly bringing it down across his right cheek with a resounding smack.
the slap entered yangyang's ears and bounced around in his now empty head, the only sound he could produce being a rather slutty moan that echoed back to him in the stillness of the room.
you smiled and looked down at him, content with how he's already falling apart under you.
"baby? are you forgetting something?"
he registers your words seconds late and flinches at his realization.
"one."
he already sounds wrecked and you have to bite back the groan in your throat.
"good boy."
yangyang lets out a whiny moan at that.
"you like being called that?" you let your hands slide up his bare ass and under his shirt to massage at his toned back.
"you know, you could hear that more often if you didn't act up so much."
you pulled your hands from him and landed another smack on his right cheek, this one a bit harder.
he lurched forward and groaned loudly, then dropped his head back on his arm.
"t-two."
"who knew you were such a pain slut," you laughed. with that, you gave a third slap to his left this time, even harder than the last two.
yangyang was slowly losing his mind. his head felt like it was spinning and there there was so much sensation in his bottom half, but not where he's used to.
all of these new thoughts and feelings were overwhelming his system, along with the delicious stinging on his behind. he couldn't understand how it could feel so good, so satisfying, but he chalked it up to it just being you. he loved anything you did to him.
for now, he tried to focus on counting. "three."
you hummed and smoothed a hand over his already reddened cheeks, "very good, baby. can you do seven more?"
he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding and nodded. with the way he was feeling now, he could probably do this all night.
you smiled, the gesture going unseen by your boyfriend whose face was still down in his arm.
he looked absolutely precious. so sweet and docile. the contrast from his usual confident and playful demeanor was making your legs weak, but you pressed on. it wasn't even about a punishment anymore, now you just wanted to show him who was in control tonight.
wasting no time, you delivered the fourth and fifth smacks in quick succession, each getting heavier in force.
strings of high pitched whines left his mouth but he kept up with your ministrations, the numbers falling past his lips like a mantra.
he counted to seven before he felt something shift in him. he needed more.
for the first time since you started, he found his words and finally spoke up.
"please, please keep going."
he sounded positively fucked, almost pathetic to his own ears, but he couldn't control himself. he'd never felt like this in his life.
usually he's got control of himself and even sometimes you, but right now he's sure that if he weren't flat on this bed he'd be falling to the floor. his body feels so light, maybe he'll start floating instead?
his mind feels like it's floating away from his body and he's hit with the sudden need to hear your voice. you feel so far away and he feels so airy and gone that he's not even sure if you're still there.
without even realizing it he's hiccuping with small cries, his shoulders shaking slightly.
as soon as you notice, you're crawling up the bed to his side, a sudden fear growing in you that maybe you had gone too far and hurt him.
you lifted his face in your hands gently and searched for his eyes.
"what's wrong, angel? did i hurt you? do you want to stop? we can stop. i'm so sorry, baby."
you shifted to his level and brought him closer to you, guilt building a home in your chest.
yangyang realized the situation. it looks like he's crying out of pain, but that wasn't it at all. he's crying because it feels so good and you make him feel safe enough to be that vulnerable and he just loves you.
but he can't figure out how to voice that right now, so instead he just shakes his head and grabs your hands in his, bringing his face to your neck and taking deep breaths. he calms himself before he speaks again.
"no, no you didn't hurt me and there's nothing wrong. i just..."
you pull away and watch him with soft eyes, patiently waiting for him to finish.
he lets out a deep breath and pushes himself up on his elbows.
"it just was a lot and i've never felt like that before. it felt like i left my body and i guess for a second i got scared cause i felt so far and i just wanted to feel you and hear your voice. but it feels so good and i don't want you to stop. i just got carried away. please keep going, please."
all hope of keeping down your emotions was lost at his small voice as he pleaded with you.
he wanted you to keep going. he was enjoying himself so much that he got lost in the feeling, and it overwhelmed him to the point of tears.
it felt like there was a swarm of butterflies in your stomach and chest as you processed it. his newfound submission and trust was so much better than punishing him or trying to teach him any kind of lesson.
you almost wanted to stop and just pull him into your arms and soothe him, but more than anything you wanted to make him feel good. so if he wanted more, then he was going to get it.
you rose from the bed to return to your place at the end, but not before kissing him sweetly on the lips and reminding him to tell you if he wants you to stop.
he was still turned on his side watching you with glassy eyes and you could see how hard he was with his front exposed.
he was standing tall against his stomach, red and glistening with precum. all things considered, it was adorable and your heart swelled at the sight. you would have to pay special attention to him later.
gently you guided him back on his stomach with a hand on his hip and he obeyed, lifting his hips and pushing his ass up for you.
you giggled at how eager he was and squeezed his thigh.
"okay, baby boy, three more. you ready?"
he mewled and hummed immediately.
"good boy."
you raised your hand and landed a hard smack across his ass, pulling a loud moan from his throat at the impact.
he was already panting and his shoulders were going slack, the ecstasy taking over his body again.
"what are we on, angel?"
your sweet voice enveloped him like a plush blanket in a harsh winter. he trusted you. he loved you so much.
"eight."
"good, baby. keep going?" you checked once more and he nodded.
you massaged the supple skin on his behind and promptly delivered another hard slap on his left cheek.
yangyang was falling again, heat and shivers spreading throughout his body at your touch. pressure was building in his core at your praises. he just wanted to keep being good for you.
"one more, baby, you're doing so well."
you bent over and placed a kiss on the side of his head, rubbing his shoulders and whispering soft praises to him to keep him grounded.
he was writhing and literally squirming on the bed, his back arched as he awaited the final spank. he needed it. he was so close.
raising your hand one last time, you put a little more force into it as you swept your hand across his ass, earning the loudest sound you'd ever heard from your boyfriend.
it was a mix between a cry and a moan and it left him in waves as he shook under you.
you crawled up next to him and wrapped your arms around him, pulling him closer to you and running your hand through his hair, the other making circles on his back.
"i've got you, angel. you did so well. you were so good for me." you reassured him.
his breaths were shallow and shaky as he came back down to earth. his hands gripped at your shirt and he sniffled into your chest.
"was so good. love you so much."
your heart somersaulted behind your ribs. you held him tighter and continued to whisper sweet nothings into his ear.
once his breathing returned to normal, you sat up and looked at him.
"wait, you still need to finish, don't you?"
he didn't respond and put his head into your chest.
you got your answer in the form of a wet spot on the sheets, looking down to see his dick only half hard and covered in cum.
he came just from that.
now you were the one who felt like you were floating.
not wanting to embarrass him, you stroked his cheek with your thumb and sat up to get a towel.
before you could stand he was pulling you back down next to him and shoving his face into your chest again.
"mm, don't leave. shower later." his voice was soft and squeaky. it made your heart do a flip.
you held him against your chest and took in his warmth, listening to the peaceful sound of his breathing. "okay baby, i'm not going anywhere."
looks like he got his way after all.
How in the holy hell did she end up here? Here. In Savannah’s closet, kissing one of her best friends whom she’d had a crush on for weeks now. Kissing Owen Joyner. It was only this morning they were still bullying each other playfully during dance training. It was only a month ago the two had met.
A month ago she got the call from her agent that she got the gig. She was going to be in a Kenny Ortega production. A freaking Kenny Ortega production. After being a fan of his work since she was literally a child, she finally got the honor to work with him on a project. Albeit as more of an extra, but still.
A member of popular girl Carrie Wilson’s band. Dirty Candy singer #3. Member of Dirty Candy. No matter how she put it, it still all seemed so surreal.
The first day of bootcamp, y/n was extremely nervous. This was her first ever project and she wanted to do it right. This was something so close to her heart as she, herself, had lost her mom and lost the love to dance and sing for a while too until she found the strength again through friends and family.
Besides, getting to play a mean girl did seem a lot of fun.
“Oh, hey,” a girl greeted. She had long blonde hair that cascaded into curls down her neck and shoulders, and big brown bambi eyes twinkling at her. “I’m Savannah. You’re a Dirty Candy member?” she introduced herself and asked you, in one go.
“Uh, yeah! I’m member number three,” she chuckled awkwardly before reaching out her hand towards her. “I’m y/n,” she said with a smile that reached her ears. Savannah looked at her hand and then grabbed it, and pulled her in for a hug.
A surprised shriek arose from member number three before she wrapped her arms around the 5 foot something specimen that clung to her for a while.
“I can’t wait to get started!” Savannah clapped her hands excitedly when she had pulled away from the hug.
As time went by, a lot more people filed into the room. Some of them y/n recognized, like Jeremy Shada, but also some of the fellow dancers seemed very familiar. Probably from dance classes back in High School or College, she thought.
“Okay, let’s get this started!” A man of medium-build with a baseball cap on his head and a smile on his face clapped his hands, and rubbed them together as if planning some sort of scheme. “I’m Paul Becker, I’m the choreographer and along with Tori and Louise, my assistants, I’ll be getting you prepped for all dance rehearsals.” He pointed at the two girls on the first row. One of which y/n knew from college, Tori. A petite brown girl who was so sweet and kind, and a masterpiece of motion. Y/N remembered how she always outshone everyone in class.
Kenny Ortega stood next to Paul, smiling at the group of talent he’d accumulated, and said, “We’re just gonna start with some icebreaker games today to get to know each other better and then really get to work.” Y/N glanced around the room to check if she was the only one that seemed nervous. Halfway through the room, she made eye contact with a tall blonde boy with what she thought was the most adorable smile ever. She shot him a smile back before focusing on Kenny again. “I’m assuming not everyone knows each other’s names yet, so I suggest we start with the name game?” he looked at Paul, who gave a nod of assent.
“Let’s all sit down in a big circle,” Paul said, rotating his finger to indicate the circle. Savannah, standing closest to Y/N, grabbed the girl’s hand and brought her closer to the rest of the group before they both sat down, along with the others.
“The premise is to remember everyone else’s name,” Kenny began, “So, for example. I’ll start and say Kenny, then Paul, who’s sitting next to me goes ‘Kenny, Paul’, then Tori has to go ‘Kenny, Paul, Tori,’ and so on and so forth. Got it?” All participants nodded their heads.
A groan is heard from the other side of the circle, “I’m gonna have to remember so many names!” The blonde guy with the cute smile from earlier whined. The group burst out laughing at his annoyance.
“Well, let’s hope you remember the names better than the lyrics to your audition song, huh, Owen?” Kenny retorted teasingly, sending the rest of the group into another fit of laughter as the blonde boy glared at the director.
Y/N made a mental note to remember his name. Owen. When she looked at him at that moment, she recognized him from somewhere, but couldn’t put her finger on where or how.
“Okay, so, I’ll start,” Kenny said and repeated his name.
“Kenny, Paul,” Paul said, then looked at the girl next to him.
“Kenny, Paul, Tori.” Everyone then averted their eyes to the blonde girl sitting next to Tori.
“Kenny, Paul, Tori, Louise.” Everyone’s eyes then went to the girl sitting on y/n’s right, who she’d met before.
“Kenny, Paul, Tori, Louise, Savannah.”
Her heart beated faster as everyone’s eyes were focused on her as she repeated the names, “Kenny, Paul, Tori, Louise, Savannah, y/n.”
She looked around the circle with a smile as the girl next to her continued. Her eyes stopped at Owen, who was looking at her too with a tender smile on his face. Instead of simply shooting a smile back, she mimed “Pay attention”. His shoulders jolted from the soft chuckle that came through before he focused on the next person.
The game went on for a while until it reached Owen. Y/N could tell from the look in his eyes that he was struggling to remember them all. There were a lot of names to remember, that’s true, but y/n thought it was pretty simple to remember.
“Kenny, Paul, Tori, Louise, Savannah, y/n,” he halted his gaze on her for a split second before continuing, “Sacha, Jadah, uhm…” His eyes flicked back to y/n, begging for help. She started mouthing the names along, and even though he couldn’t really lipread, the help was welcome. “Kyra, Halle, Jeremy, Madison, Owen.”
Of course, he knew the last two people before him, but Kyra and Halle seemed difficult names for him to remember.
“That wasn’t so hard, now, was it?” the boy next to him slapped him on the shoulder as the group burst out into laughter. Owen, however, couldn’t help but smile as he looked at y/n.
“Yeah, it wasn’t that bad,” he mumbled and shot her a thankful wink.
Charlie then ended the circle, and though Kenny wanted to go around the circle once more, the contradictory moans and complaints made him finish the game and tell everyone to get up off the floor. Paul grabbed a rope from the ground near the wall-covering mirror and handed one end to Kenny. The latter looked around the room for a second before calling out y/n’s name, beckoning her to come over. Confused and a little embarrassed, she walked over to the director.
“You’re about the average height of everyone here, so we need your waist,” he told her, chuckling. The soft caress of his hand on her shoulder made her calm down a little as he guided her to the middle of the room. Paul and Kenny then secured the rope at the height of her waist. One side on the barre, the other on a hook in the wall. “I’m gonna split you into two groups and make it a competition,” he then said and looked around the room to see who could make a great team.
“Let’s do Dirty Candy against Julie and The Phantoms?” Paul suggested, “Jadah with the Phantoms team and Sacha with the Dirty Candy team? And Louise can join the Phantoms team too, to balance it out.” Kenny let his eyes wander over the two groups as they scattered towards each other.
“Yep, I like that,” he then said and clapped his hands. “Premise of this game is to get across the rope together. There’s no going under it, it’s not a game limbo dancing. Okay? You gotta brainstorm and get across using teamwork.”
“What does the winner get?” Owen asked, a smirk playing on his lips as he and his team huddled together on one side of the rope, closest to the mirror.
“If Team Dirty Candy wins, they get to see your audition tape,” Kenny promised, immediately wiping off the smirk on Owen’s face as everyone on team Dirty Candy cheered and giggled. “If Team Phantoms wins…”
A boost of confidence rushed through y/n as she exclaimed, “No need for that, Kenny. Team Dirty Candy is gonna win!” Sacha and Halle lifted their hands, so y/n hit hers against them in high fives.
The director laughed at that while Owen kissed his teeth, an amused smirk playing at his lips. “We’ll see about that,” he said. “Kenny, what’s in it for us?” The director’s eyes darted from y/n to Owen and back, picking up on the connection that had formed between them with just non-verbal communication.
“What would you say if I could get into possession of home videos from when y/n was younger.” Y/N’s eyes widened at this. She had almost forgotten her parents used to be buddies in college with Kenny, and he and her dad worked together on a couple of projects.
“Yep, okay, you’re going down, Dirty Candy!” said Owen threateningly. “How is that fair, Kenny?!” y/n exclaimed, glaring at Owen as he cackled.
“About as fair as you seeing my audition tape!” he yelled, but still had that amused smile on his face that told her he wasn’t actually mad at her.
She pressed her lips together into a tight line before turning to her team. “We have to win this thing, guys.” All four other Dirty Candy singers and Sacha nodded their heads determinedly, and threateningly turned back to their opposing team.
“You’ve got half an hour to get everyone across. Every time a person touches the rope, everyone who’s already crossed over has to go back,” Paul explained in a stern tone. “Teams ready?” Both teams huddled up into a group, ready to brainstorm quickly. Y/N looked up, locking eyes with Owen straight away. He glared at her as she pointed two fingers at her own eyes, then pointing them to him. “3-2-1… GO!” Paul pressed the timer on his phone as the two teams began frantically discussing.
“I used to be a gymnast,” Kyra started in a hushed tone. “If I can get onto someone’s shoulders, I can summersault my way off?”
“Don’t you need a mat for that on the other side so as to not break your ankles?” Halle asked, her eyebrows knit together in confusion. The gymnast of the group shook her head, and so the discussion continued.
On the other team, Owen was taking the lead in their discussion. He seemed to just have a game plan ready in his mind. There was no way the other team would ever be allowed to see his audition tape. It was way too embarrassing.
“We’re gonna start with Charlie and me on our knees in front of the rope. Louise or Jeremy, one of you is gonna stand on both our knees and hop over. Then, whoever went over is gonna mirror us on the other side, so the next person has to step onto your thigh as they step over. We’re just gonna continue like that until I’m the last one here. I’m able to just jump across.” His teammates looked at him as if he’d just spoken Chinese. Blinking eyes and mouths ajar.
They had five minutes left and on both teams, the second to last person had just gone over. Now, only Owen and Y/N were left standing on their side. Glaring at each other when they noticed this was match point, both of them stepped back for the run-up, and leapt over the rope at exactly the same time.
Their teammates cheered as both teams huddled into a group hug. Kenny and Paul stood on the sidelines, applauding both team’s efforts.
“I think we have a tie,” Kenny announced once the cheering had died down.
“So, what does that mean?” Owen asked, glancing over at y/n anxiously. It would be fairest to have both their prices or no prices at all.
“I think our two team captains can decide that,” Kenny said, pointing at both Owen and y/n, who had started this little war in the first place. “Do you wanna see each other’s videos, or is no one ever gonna see anything at all?”
Y/N and Owen glanced at each other, trying to communicate what each of them were feeling in that very moment. Owen’s eyes searched her face as she bit down on her lip. It wouldn’t be fair for me to see her old family videos. Those are kind of private, he thought.
“I think we’re good,” Owen replied and offered the girl a smile as she nodded her head agreeingly. “This was a fun game, I don’t think it needs a price.”
“Agreed.”
Kenny and Paul told them to take a break before they got to the real dance training. Before y/n could join Savannah to their bags, Owen stopped her with a wide smile plastered on his face.
“Nice job, y/n,” he said, opening his palms and holding them out to her. Y/N hit her hands on his in a double low five as a giggle escaped her lips.
“You too,” she said.
The rest of the day was spent dancing, or at least for Y/N. The first two hours, they had dance training together, but then they were split up into groups again. Y/N had more dance rehearsals with the girls from Dirty Candy while Madison and the boys went to try out some songs they were going to sing on the show.
From that first day on, y/n knew that this wasn’t just going to be a work relationship she was building up with these people. She felt in her stomach that these people were going to become her best friends, her family. And she wouldn’t want to change it for the world.
At the end of bootcamp, y/n was proven absolutely right. They had become the best of friends, and almost like a family. And they had yet to start filming. The next few months were going to be even more fun, especially that final night of bootcamp since Savannah had invited everyone to a sleepover at her place.
Though y/n was half certain Savannah only did it to get her and Owen together, she was still excited about it. The blondie knew y/n had a thing for the tall blonde man ever since the first day, but she hadn’t done anything about it as she wanted to keep it professional.
But of course Savannah didn’t quite agree to that.
The night of the sleepover, Savannah invited a few of the closest people over to her place. She literally went all out on this night. There were bowls of different varieties of chips scattered around tables, stacks of red cups on her kitchen counter, candles and fairy lights everywhere. Though, y/n was kind of apprehensive about the candles being a danger, she didn’t really say anything about it. It wasn’t going to be that kind of night, she thought.
She even got them matching PJ’s. On the backside of six of the white T-shirts was TEAM DIRTY CANDY printed in a bright pink while the other five -- since Louise couldn’t make it -- read TEAM PHANTOMS in purple. She bought pink shorts for the girls on her team, purple ones for the girls on the other. For the boys, she brought grey joggers.
Y/N appreciated the effort Savannah put into tonight. It was something she would do, too. She was a sucker for an over-the-top party and went all out herself on every occasion.
“I made a non-alcoholic Sangria punch for everyone,” she said as she pointed to the large glass bowl on the kitchen counter near the stack of cups. “Who would like some?”
Team Dirty Candy was complete while Team Phantoms missed two people. Two people who were often late for everything. Charlie and Owen. Of course they hadn’t arrived yet. It didn’t surprise y/n very much. Half an hour late. They were half an hour late.
“We’re so sorry,” Charlie apologized to Savannah, “But this one over here was taking so long to get ready.” The brunette boy rolled his eyes as he thought of the dallying of the blonde one next to him.
“You were barely ready when I was,” Owen countered and gladly took the punch-filled cup Savannah handed over before making a beeline towards the others who were gathered on the couches in the living room.
His eyes immediately landed on y/n and his smile grew wider. “Well, look who finally showed his face, Dorian Gray.” His eyebrows knitting together made y/n realize he hadn’t the slightest clue about English Literature. “The Picture of Dorian Gray? No? Never read it?” Owen slowly shook his head as he slid down on the couch next to her. “OK…”
Y/N turned to Jadah, who was sitting next to her, completely ignoring Owen’s confused eyes. “Who the fuck is Dorian Gray?!” he yelled at Charlie, his eyes wide as he grew more and more annoyed.
“Read a book!” Halle and y/n yelled in unison, and Halle even threw a pillow at him, reminiscent of that scene in The Heat where Melissa McCarthy threw a book at Michael McDonald’s face. The two girls fell into a fit of laughter, along with pretty much everyone else but Owen. He was too busy wiping the Sangria punch that had spilled with the impact of the pillow, off his jeans.
“How about we get into our PJ’s and get this party started!” Savannah suggested, followed by an excited whoop. The girls all got up quickly, following behind Savannah while the boys stuck around the living room. They decided they needed to give the girls some privacy and would change after.
“So…” Madison started when they were in Savannah’s bedroom, changing from their cute outfits into even cuter pj’s. “You’re gonna tell Owen how you feel tonight?” she asked y/n, her eyebrows wiggling suggestively up and down.
“Feel about what?” y/n asked as she tucked her Team Dirty Candy shirt into her pink shorts.
“About him!” Jadah exclaimed with wild eyes. “It’s clear you have a massive crush on him, girl!” Y/N looked around the room at the other girls, who were all just nodded their heads in accordance.
Y/N scoffed after a few seconds of silence. She was thinking about confiding in them and telling them the truth, but it was no use. There was no way she and Owen could ever become a thing. She was supposed to be strictly professional as it was her first job.
“I don’t have a crush on Owen,” she stated, grabbed her stuff and left the girls in the bedroom. After neatly folding her jeans and the top she had been wearing that day, and putting it into the backpack she’d taken with her, she made her way into the kitchen for some more punch. All while her mind went crazy.
Sure, she had a definite crush on the blonde actor, but there was no way she was ever going to act up on those feelings. Owen probably didn’t even feel the same way about her anyway. Besides, she promised herself she would focus on her career instead of dabbling into relationships that probably won’t even last.
The girls re-entered the living room at the same moment y/n went back with her full cup of Sangria. “Alright, boys, the bedroom is yours. It’s just around the corner,” Savannah told them, pointing to the door she’d left open.
The four boys got up and, after receiving the pj’s from Savannah, disappeared into the bedroom. The complete quiet returning in the room. It made y/n a little anxious that the girls weren’t even talking. Mostly because she knew what they were thinking. They had told her a bizillion times already.
“You could at least ask him!”
“He might say yes!”
“You should act on your feelings!”
“This is gonna make you crazy!”
She’d responded to that last one with, “If it doesn’t, you ain’t doing it right.” It shut them right up for a while. Until now, it seemed.
“Let’s put some music on and get this party really started!” Tori suggested, hitting her hand against the red cup she was holding, excited to get dancing. Savannah agreed and grabbed her phone from the coffee table, connecting them to the speakers. It didn’t take long after that for music to begin filling up the silence.
Into The Unknown from Frozen II chimed through the room. All the girls gasped. All but one. She cursed at herself for feeling this way and basically being a buzzkill right now. She didn’t want to be this way, but the thoughts about Owen kept consuming her.
“I can hear you but I won't Some look for trouble while others don't There's a thousand reasons I should go about my day And ignore your whispers which I wish would go away, oh Whoa”
Tori and Madi turned to y/n as they sang along with Idina Menzel, trying to convince her to get up and belt the song with them.
“You're not a voice, you're just a ringing in my ear And if I heard you, which I don't, I'm spoken for I fear Everyone I've ever loved is here within these walls I'm sorry, secret siren, but I'm blocking out your calls I've had my adventure, I don't need something new I'm afraid of what I'm risking if I follow you”
The other four girls now sang to y/n as well, in an attempt to persuade her to party along with them. She wanted to, she really did. But y/n wouldn’t be y/n if she wasn’t a little stubborn at first.
“Into the unknown Into the unknown”
Madison reached out her hand, but y/n slapped it away and got up on the sofa, belting out the last line of the chorus while the girls looked at her in awe. They knew she could dance and act, but they had no idea the girl had pipes.
“Into the unknown”
As the girls belted out the rest of the song, the boys walked into the living room again in their Team Phantoms and Team Dirty Candy shirts, stumbling upon the scene of y/n on the sofa and the girls surrounding her as if they were her fans at a concert. All seven of them were singing the song at the top of their lungs.
Owen couldn’t help the smile finding its way to his lips as he watched y/n in her absolute element. Though she be but small, the girl took up a large part of his heart. Ever since they met a month ago, her snarky remarks and her hunch for competition made him fall head over heels in love with her. And as the month went on and they became closer and closer, he kept avoiding asking the one question that was on the tip of his tongue.
For now, being friends was enough for Owen if it meant watching her do stuff like this.
“Are you out there? Do you know me? Can you feel me? Can you show me?”
Charlie’s voice made Owen snap out of his thoughts as he asked, “When are you going to ask her out, man? This whole ‘just friends’ thing is killing you.” Owen sighed at his best friend’s words. It wasn’t that he was wrong as much as he just didn’t like hearing the words out loud.
“I’m fine, Charlie. There’s no way we could ever be together. Y/N is way too professional for that. And she might be right, you know? This is her first gig, if she wants to pursue this acting debacle, she has to be.” Owen didn’t even believe any of the words that rolled off his lips, but it’s what he’d settled on to ease his own mind.
“Not with that attitude,” Jeremy mumbled.
“I just don’t know what to do, okay?” he said and headed over to the concert y/n was giving the girls. The moment he came into her range of vision, she turned to him and sang the very last lines to him, and him alone, causing butterflies to well up in his belly.
“Where are you going? Don't leave me alone How do I follow you Into the unknown?”
“Woah, y/n!” Halle exclaimed as she shook her head in disbelief.
“Yeah! Woah indeed!” Savannah added, “Your voice! Girl!” Y/N chuckled, and grabbed the hem of her pink shorts as though she was wearing a dress and curtsied at the praise.
“Thank you,” she said, and though she was playing it off coolly, her cheeks colored pink.
The next song started to play, which was Golden by Harry Styles, and the other three boys joined the rest of the group. Charlie, Sacha and Tori hopped onto the couch with y/n, belting out the song and sipping from their punch.
This was what the sleepover mostly consisted of; singing along loudly to whatever song was playing, sipping from the punch and munching on the snacks Savannah had laid out for them. For at least an hour, they sang and danced until their feet started to ache. Up to the point where only y/n, Savannah and Madi were left standing. The boys and other girls had taken a seat on the couch, watching the performance they were giving them.
Y/N had enough of their lame asses, so when her favorite One Direction song came on, she made her way over to the couch and took a hold of Owen’s hand first. “Come on, Golden Boy! Sing with me!” Little did she know everyone glanced at each other knowingly upon seeing this.
“If I didn't have you, there would be nothing left The shell of a man that could never be his best If I didn't have you, I'd never see the sun You taught me how to be someone, yeah”
Owen finally caved in and sang along with the girl in front of him, eyes locked and filled with absolute admiration.
“I’m… gonna…” Savannah muttered, but when she realized they didn’t even hear her, she ushered everyone out of the living room and into the kitchen, leaving the two alone in hopes they would confess their undeniable love for each other.
The boy twirled her around a few times, making her giggle before they fell into song again, making up some moves as they went. Neither of them even noticed the rest of the group was gone and watching them from the kitchen.
“Anyone wanna bet nothing’s gonna happen?” Sacha muttered and frustratedly sipped his drink. He’d seen the way y/n looked at Owen that first day and just knew something would blossom between them. Everyone could see it. The sparks were ignited that very first day, and now they were just waiting for them to fan the sparks into a flame.
“If I didn't have you there would be nothing left”
Y/N reached her half empty red cup towards Owen like a microphone as he echoed part of the line. His green eyes never left y/n’s face. It almost felt reminiscent of the way Madison and Charlie sang at bootcamp as Julie and Luke.
“Nothing left”
“The shell of a man who could never be his best”
“Be his best”
“If I didn't have you, I'd never see the sun”
“See the sun”
“You taught me how to be someone
Yeah”
“I’ll give you ten dollars if Owen doesn’t stop at the end of the song when y/n hits those high notes,” Charlie told Sacha. The latter nodded his head in confirmation of the deal.
At the end of the song, during the very last chorus, Owen had to stop singing in awe of y/n’s voice as she hit the high notes Harry Styles reverberated in between the other boys’ voices. She had the most unique voice he had ever heard. It had a bit of a rasp to it, and it quickly became his favorite sound in the whole world.
Charlie chuckled, shaking his head at the couple as he exclaimed, “Called it!” and held his hand out for Sacha to give him the ten dollars. The blonde guy gave the older one a puzzled look. “I said I’ll give you a tenner if he didn’t stop. But he did, so. Hand it over, buddy.”
Sacha rolled his eyes but went to grab the last ten bucks from his wallet and handed it to Charlie who happily socked it away.
Another song started playing, making y/n gasp as her eyes averted from Owen’s to the kitchen where the rest of her friends were seated, watching the entire scene. “Tori! Do you remember the choreo to this one?!” she shrieked out. Tori offered the rest an apologetic smile before joining y/n in the living room and getting into the steps with her while Owen staggered into the kitchen.
Madison and Savannah exchanged glances, deciding to put their mischievous plan in motion with a simple nod of the head. “Alright! Let’s play truth or dare!” Savannah called out and beckoned everyone into the living room where y/n and Tori whined at the disruption of their dance.
“Oh, shut up, you guys do that dance almost every day in rehearsal!” Kyra countered while she jumped over the back of the couch. With a chuckle, Tori and y/n joined the others on the couch. Tori took a seat next Jadah while y/n went to sit on the end of the U-shaped couch, next to Owen.
“I’ll start!” Madi shouted, raising her hand. “Jadah! Truth or dare?” Savannah and Madison agreed to handle it subtly and not get to Owen and y/n straight away.
“Dare,” Jadah replied courageously, a wide smile on her face to show off her pearly white teeth.
“Call one of your contacts in your phone and tell them you had a pregnancy scare,” Madi said as a smirk tugged at one corner of her mouth. Jadah grabbed her phone and opened her contacts. “Just scroll through and we’ll say stop,” Madison added.
“STOP!” Madi and y/n shouted in unison.
Jadah looked up with her eyes wide, “It’s Sarah Jeffrey,” she giggled and pressed the name before putting the device at her ear to listen. A silence fell over the room as they all watched Jadah carry out the dare.
A smile played on y/n’s lips as she watched the young girl talk, but couldn’t help but zone out. She was suddenly incredibly aware of how close she was to Owen. He had one leg tucked under the other as she rested her forearm on his knee, leaning into his body as his arm laid on the back rest behind her. She could feel his heart beating against her ribs and his fingers softly graze her arm every now and again.
“Jadah, your turn,” Savannah said, making y/n realize she had missed that entire conversation. It didn’t seem like Sarah Jeffrey said something too incredulous since everyone seemed to act quite normal. For as far as normal goes in this group.
“Sacha! Truth or dare?”
“Dare!”
“Uhm…” Jadah pursed her lips as she thought. “Try and seduce the person next to you.” Sacha looked to his left, at Jeremy, and then to his right, at Charlie. He thought about it for a moment but turned to Charlie in the end.
“I have too much respect for Carolynn,” he told Jeremy, which made the engaged boy chuckle as he played around with his ring. He definitely missed Care.
Sacha cleared his throat before placing his hand on Charlie’s cheek and forcing the boy to look him in the eyes. Charlie’s smile faltered just before Sacha spoke, “You… Are so beautiful, you made me forget my pickup line.” His voice was hushed, barely above a whisper. Charlie visibly swallowed at the pretty boy in front of him. Before he could register it, Sacha had kissed his own fingers and placed them on Charlie’s lips. The older boy coughed, blinking his eyes rapidly as he turned to the group again.
“Woah-kay! Next!”
The group burst out into laughter until Sacha called out Savannah’s name.
“I’m gonna pick ‘truth’,” she said with a smile, which vanished almost straight away when she got booed. “What? Somebody's gotta pick truth!”
“Who is the sexiest person here?” Sacha asked, wiggling his eyebrows.
“Easy, all of you,” she uttered, shrugging her shoulders, “Y/N!” She pointed at the girl to her right.
“Let’s go dare,” the unknowing girl answered with a smile as she shifted in Owen’s arms.
“7 minutes in heaven with the person to your right.” The sentence flowed out of her mouth a little too easily. Y/N knew Savannah had done this on purpose, and now she wasn’t sure if she should hate her best friend or be thankful for the little push in the back.
Y/N slowly turned her head to face Owen, only to find out he’s already getting up. Her arm fell from his knee and she tried to keep her balance from the sudden lack of support of her body. He held a hand out to her to help her up, but y/n wasn’t sure if she should do it. This could just about change everything in their dynamique.
“A dare is a dare, y/n,” Madison added innocently, egging the girl on.
The girl inhaled deeply before gently placing her hand in Owen’s and letting him pull her up. Savannah led them towards the closet where they kept their coats, and opened the door for the couple.
All the way down there, y/n’s mind couldn’t stop racing. What was she going to do? Were they actually going to kiss? Or was this his way of telling her in private that he didn’t feel the same? Maybe she should just not give him the chance to say anything and break her heart. Maybe she should just kiss him to have at least experienced having his lips on hers so she could stop daydreaming about it.
The closet door shut behind her, and she was left in the dimly lit cramped space with just a bunch of coats and Owen’s silhouette. Now’s her time to figure out what she should do. Now’s her time to decide.
“We don’t have to if you don’t want to, I--” before Owen could finish his sentence, y/n attacked his lips with hers, pressing them together in a short, but sweet kiss. When she pulled away, she felt a heat rising to her cheeks. His lips taste better than she had ever dreamt of. How was she now supposed to forget about that? This was a terrible idea.
Or at least she thought it was until he took this as permission to go forth with the whole seven minutes in heaven thing their friends wanted them to do. Hell, he wanted them to do it.
He kissed her feverishly, his hands gripping at her waist as he tried to pull her closer and closer, even if that was almost impossible since her body was already pressed against his without any space left for imagination.
She kissed him back as if her life depended on it, her fingers tangling up in his blonde hair. This was something she had fantasized about for a month. Every time they talked, she couldn’t help herself but glance at his lips and wonder what it would feel like to press hers to his. Since that very first day of bootcamp, she knew there was something about him that she couldn’t put her finger on. But now she did. It was an attraction. Pure attraction. The way metal attracts a magnet.
“I’ve wanted to do that since you so confidently told Kenny you were gonna win that game,” he panted, pressing his forehead against hers. “I didn’t think you felt the same.”
“I have had a crush on you since you smiled at me that first day,” y/n admitted, a smile forming on her face as she stared into those beautiful eyes of his. They reflected back in exactly the same way they did after those ice breaking games on day one.
He lifted his head to get a better look at her, raising his eyebrows, “That’s all it took? OK…” Y/N let out an airy laugh as she hit him on the chest playfully. “So, what do you say to a date?”
“Nothing, ‘cause a date can’t speak,” she wittily answered. Owen scoffed and rolled his eyes, but couldn’t withhold a smile reaching his cheeks. “All jokes aside, I think I would say yes to a date.” She reached up and stroked a strand of his hair from his forehead.
“You think?” he asked.
“Mmh, no, I’m pretty sure.”
That just widened Owen’s smile before he dipped down to meet her lips again. A loud uproar was heard from the other side of the door at that moment. The couple in the closet giggled upon hearing this, knowing exactly that their friends had been eavesdropping.
“Can’t believe they set this all up,” y/n said, shaking her head and placing her forehead against Owen’s chest. She inhaled his fresh scent of musk and sandalwood. A calming smell she had come to love.
“Yeah... me neither,” he chuckled, “How did we end up here?”
Saved by the Devil (17/?) - Thomas Shelby
Summary: Father and reader are reunited, Reader faces her past and future at once. (Im getting better kind of?)
Pairing: Tommy Shelby x Fem!Reader (Romantic)
Warning: Unhealthy father and daughter relationship.
A/N: This chapter took oh so long but I’m glad that we get to see this relationship between Father and Daughter in this one. Also i named the father George so sorry if you know someone named George. Comments and feedback is always appreciated and as always have a good night and take care of yourselves.
Italics = flashback
George (L/N), your father was a man that everyone feared. You knew this ever since you were a little girl. You saw the air he prided himself with, the way people parted like the red sea whenever he walked, the way no one would look him in his eye. You used to worship the ground he walked on. You would cry on to your mother why you couldn’t spend more time with the man, she would give you a look that you didn’t understand then. She was horrified when George did decide to take you for a tour of his ‘office.’ She could do nothing but watch you bounce happily away on your father hand. You still remember the day.
 “You can’t take her, not there.” Your mother cried to him
 “Shes gonna need to learn sooner or later.”
 “Then later!” She yelled.
 He ignores her cries as he drags you along. You had a big smile at finally getting time with your father. You didn’t understand why she was against this.
The walk was brisk, you even stopped for a treat. You ended up jumping from one place to another. Your father talking to people, shaking their hands. You noticed how they looked to him like a leader. So you asked.
 “Im a boss honey,” He answered, “You will be too one day. You’ll help me run all this.”
 “Really?” you said
 “You just gotta be tough. Can you do that?”
 You nodded pulling off your toughest face. The next place he leads you is some old train tracks that aren’t used anymore. A group of men stand around in a circle. All of them waiting for him.
 “You brought a kid to this?” One of them says.
 “You got a problem with that?” George says cocking his gun you didn’t realize he had.
 The man shakes his head no and pints where the rest of them gather, “They got him over there.”
Your father no longer holds your hand as he walks ahead of you. You follow slowly. You can see the man in the middle of the circle. Looking worn down and beaten. Your father stands ahead of him, he plays with gun in the air. He talks words you block out. You just watch the man as is eyes loosely follow your father. He cries uncontrollable begging for his life. You see his body fall before you hear the gun. You don’t cry, you don’t say a word. Your father pats you on the head and says you did good.
 Soon he took you everywhere and anywhere, spending more time with him less with your mother. You became a different person as you became used to the violence. You saw different side of your father more than once but he still treated you like a good. He wanted you prepared for anything and you just wanted to prove that you could be. So learning wasn’t an issue and neither was the perfection you set yourself up for. You became a mini version of him, you didn’t mind unlike your mother who was just horrified. She fought for you to stay in school when he would convince you to leave. She wanted to to date, have a normal job. But you wouldn’t listen to her. You father was your hero at the time you saw nothing wrong with anything that was happening.
 “Your tainting her. Its not good for her to be around this stuff.”
 You listen from atop of the stairs, now only seventeen.
 “Son or daughter, my child is gonna learn the business and learn it right!” He yelled
 “Then ill tell the police, everything I know. Ill take her away or- or”
 “Are you threatening me?”
 “I want my daughter back! You’re running her.”
 “She’s growing up, deal with it.” He turns away from her, gives her the side eye before walking out. You go to sleep, hoping for them to forgive and forget.
 You wake in the middle of night for a glass of water when you found your mother dead. You cry for the first time over a dead body. Holding your mothers hand close to her face, hoping for  a reaction. Your father walks in and pauses. You can see through your lashes that his hands were stained red. You don’t say anything. He brings  out two shovels and hands one to you. George tells you nothing more but to dig in the backyard.
 You don’t. He scolds you for not listening, for not working faster. He digs it himself. He doesn’t look you in the eye as you watch his bury dirt on top of your mother. You share a tea later in the night. You just watch the inside of your cup, the steam rising up. He drinks his greedily, eating cookies as if it’s a regular Sunday morning.
That’s when your relationship changed. You begun to bicker and challenge everything he said or did. You couldn’t understand why he would do that. Or how he even could. You didn’t know what you could do, so you held the emotions in for a long time. Growing distant with your father. He confronts you on your behavior and you no longer hokd your tounge with him.
 “You killed her. Why?”
 “You wouldn’t understand.”
 “I had to bury her, do you know what that was like?”
 “In this business you’ll have to bury a lot more like her.”
 “she had nothing to do with it.” You state.
 He looks at your small figure, your eyes welling up with tears. “Don’t cry.”
 “Why did you do it? Why did you kill my mother?” You press the issue your voice growing louder wanting , needingthe answer. Wanting all this to make sense.
 “Why does it matter? So you can tell the whole city?” He turns on you quick.
 “What if I did, does that scare you?”
 “Watch your mouth girl.”
 “Is that why you killed my mother? Cause she didn’t watch her mouth.” He gets up quickly punching a hole in the wall near your face. You stay still as tears fall from you eyes slowly.
 No longer were the two of you a pair. The father daughter duo was dead. He iced you of the business. Meeting happening without you, transactions with your knowledge. He treated you like a stranger he shared a house with. But every chance you got when you would see him. You questioned him, wanted him to feel bad. No answer at this point would satisfy you, you know that. But you hoped the guilt would eat at his soul for the rest of time. You were there to remind him. And he didn’t like that.
It was the day before you turned eighteen, when you were surprised with a knock on the door. The men claimed to be doctors as they grabbed you by the wrist, throwing you in their car, declaring you insane. You didn’t understand what was happening and that only made them laugh sealing their opinion on what state your mind was as you panicked. The doctors told you nothing but that your father had expressed concerns over your health. And that he was doing this for your own good. Being there made you feel insane but you tried your best to repeal the order to get out. But the doctors were well played off, some of the nurses being Georges goons, no one would let you out unless he said so. Until Tommy Shelby came in, of course you were finally free from that cage.
 So now you stand in front of this man, you had idolized and called father. A man who now is only a murderer, a thief, a low life, your enemy. You clench your jaw as he opens his arms to you. The wrinkles on Georges face crease as he smiles. He’s older in the face and hold a cane in his hand.
 “What? No hug?”
 “Fuck off.”
 “What a lovely choice of words. Im glad to see your okay. I meant to visit…” You glare at him, “but I’ve been busy. Its good to finally find you.”
 “You don’t have to play dumb. How long have you been following me. Ive noticed since a month ago.”
 “Hmm you’re slacking. Its been longer than that. You really think I would let my daughter be out and about, not knowing shes safe.”
 “I had hoped the rumors of your death were true. Guess I hoped too much.”
 “Ah yes your little hit on me. Didn’t go as planned did it.” He glances over at the smoke floating in the town miles from us, “Your work I assume.”
 “Did you do that to Trinity?”
 “It wasn’t anything personal. No need to throw a tantrum.”
 You huff and hold yourself back from stabbing right where he stood. “You had no right-“
 George interrupts you, “After the stunt you pulled. Asking Thomas Shelby to kill me in exchange you tell him a few locations. You know what he did when he found me. He shook my hand. The man helps me fake my death, im off to America. Can you guess where?”
 “New York.”
 “That’s right and its bigger and its booming, honey. And here you are sleeping with a man who lies to you, who is no different than me or the other men ive killed or hurt.”
 “Im not-not” You blush at the accusation your father throws to you. You had forgotten for a second how Tommy Shelby was involved in this. You remember asking him and never getting a clear answer. Especially when you were so unsure with what was going on, you should have pressed more. Not been so easy to trust him. You could have been more prepared for this, left the country sooner.
 “Listen, I’m just here to help you-“
 “By locking me up calling me crazy, or was it when you killed my mother, or had me followed or when you killed my friend.”
 “I understand your mad. But honey we are better as a team than not. Remember me and you fighting the world together.” He uses a funny light hearted voice. One that he would use only to manipulate you when you were younger.
 “What do you want from me?”
 He sighs, “I need a peace treaty. And the family’s got this son.-“
 You scoff, “Are you kidding me?”
 “its what best for our family. And honestly you have no choice in the matter. Ill drag you there myself if I have to.”
 “I’d like to see you try.” You pull put your knife and hold it out in attack position.
 “You’re gonna kill me, your old man,” He uses a mockingly sad voice before erupting into a mad laughter, “You might as well do it now cause you wouldn’t want me as your enemy.”
 “I think it might be too late for that.”  You press the knife against your own throat, pressing hard against your skin. You can feel a trickle of warm blood run down. Now George finally panics.
 “Hey, Hey! Don’t do that!” He yells.
 “Walk out of here and don’t turn back.  Now! “You command.
 Your father follows your orders because you knew it as well as he that in this game you were now an important chess piece. And he wouldn’t have no use with a dead bride.
 “I’ll be seeing you very soon.” He says as he walks further and further away. You watch until his figure is nothing more than a blur. That’s when you finally release the grip on your knife.
You sit down on the ground and quietly sob into your hands. You don’t know the time when you finally stop but its still night and still no train. You hear the sound of a lighter flicking on. You curse under your breath as you get up, ready to die tonight if it meant not being in your fathers plan.
 “You are really testing my patience tonight.” You say turning around. Only it wasn’t your father standing there.
 “Cigarette? You look like you could use one.” The deep voice says. And there you are, Face to face once again with Thomas Shelby.
GOSSIP GIRL, EP. 5 REACTION & REVIEW
alright
this episode was pretty good, i'm here for this vibe if they continue with it. lots of shit happened, i have feelings about it so lets go!
(this episode also helped me discover i really am a horrible person lol)
ADULTS:
NICK X KATE: Nope! Full stop, don't want it. Bitch you nasty for being friendly with him while posting about his daughter. Nick x Davis is the true otp.
JORDAN & CO: JAIL. Plain and simple, ya'll enjoying this too much. Jail. Please. I beg. Ya'll are sick. A gun in a school and you're Bruce Wayne? Bitch.
KATE: As stated above and addition, I started to be cool with you. You still have to go jail but after serving time, I might be cool with you afterwards. Then you flip flop again went back to doing the worst. Limiting the comments doesn't help. Raggedy.
RAFA: PRISON. And let me tell you, my boy, Aki, he got Fox News in the back of his pocket so, step the fuck back. That's why Max figured yo ass out. GO TO PRISON. PRISON. And he tried to play him for a fool at the end. Prison isn't enough, vanish.
KIKI: SIS! You gotta get it together for your daughter. She can't be the more but, I feel you. Do better, be better. It's not as easy as just saying it but if you have family you can rely on, start to rely. You're daughter her habits from you.
OUR KIDS:
JULIEN: BIG SISTER ENGERY THIS EPISODE. I'M LOVING IT AND LOVING IT. I think she can stop trying a bit now and but I'm here for the connection, I'm here for it all. Quick thinker, knew the circle wasn't tight. She wasn't really there for Audrey but she has been, I think she just got caught up. Since Zoya moved there, they haven't had the chance to just be sisters, to just love each other without any drama. They have not only the past month to make up for but years and she wants to do right by Zoya. I'm glad she realized at the end that, she needed to be there for Audrey but I'm not upset because I get it. I also LOVE that she finally, stood up to Monet and say and get wit it or get it out. Boom. I've been waiting.
OBIE: I wanna ride hard for you because people keep talking about your hair line. I think you need to learn that relationships will have ups and downs and it won't be perfect all of the time. I feel like Obie is chasing perfection, no fights, no problems, just coasting and it won't happen, it'll never happen. Do better. That being said, I'm glad we got something from Obie. I'm glad we got to see him being the Prince of New York. It's hella shady that you didn't just come out with the truth and you wanted to do a song and dance but Obie is doing more and using that name so yes, give me character stuff.
MONET: BYE. No, but really. Amazing one liners as always. I liked the little fight with Julien, I felt a bit of distress, I'm into it. While I did expect her to cross Julien, I didn't expect her to cross Luna and all her hard work, that was dirty but you moving the story and shit so what can I say? I don't think Monet will go for the crown but I could see her finding someone to prop up. I want more of her parents, maybe she has a very bad relationship with her mom? Also, sis, Julien is right, you can't keep jumping clients when they want to change and do up their image. No sis, no. (And you almost tanked Julien's career soooooooooooo)
AUDREY: SIS U WERE SINKING. Okay, so Audrey isn't a character I feel that connected too. She's bitchy, a little less than Lunet but still. So, I have a hard time caring but objectively, you should break up with Aki. You know him by now and maybe it's comfort or you really want to have something. It's okay, break up with him because he's a friend and not the boyfriend you need. You want someone who will let you vent, not solve. Not see. Go live with Julien. The fight with your mom is understandable (And realize that forcing people on her won't work.) because you shouldn't have to be the back bone of the family. The dad line was a low blow, the airport thing was a low blow but you're a teenage girl and what can I say? Nothing, just don't become the woman you hate even though parents are the models. That being said, if I had seen her interacting with her dad more, the line wouldn't have been as low. But I can't tell that he loves her, we don't even get a phone conversation. Do better writers. And I think at the party, she got a chance to see how her mom felt. I don't know what happened to move but I think it has something to do with her meds. Audrey, be a boss. Break up, tell him that ya'll are better as friends because it won't go has bad as you think it will. Move in with Julien (I just want to see it happen.)
ZOYA: I don't even have much to say. My sis was popping off this episode. I got sass, I got questioning her relationship with Obie. Yes, talk about how you feel about him with the girls and go girl stuff. I really felt her when she said she wanted her own friend, writers please give her, her own friends. PLEASE. I'M BEGGING. Simon, you dirty dog. I'm glad Obie got it out but he could've said something to her. I'm sick. I'm more upset that he wasn't a new friend or a love interest. Just ugh. But I liked Zoya this episode, she could worry about normal teenage stuff for the most part without having to worry about being attacked by Monet and Luna.
LUNA: MY GOOD SIS. Just like I didn't expect Monet to turn on her, I didn't expect her to not stand by Monet. I know she was enjoying the Zoya vibe and thought it was cute, she was becoming a bit more friendly sure but I wow, yas. Go off girl. I want to see more of fashion stylist Luna, a Luna sponsored fashion show where Aki models and drama happens? I'd be here for it, I am here for it.
MAX: I was ready to box. Listen. I was ready to fight this point as much as I felt for him. So, the feeling for him. He honestly, believes that Rafa is good for him. And he was catching feelings? He thought Rafa needed him in his life because he had no family, he also has no family in a sense to him at least. So, he's really caught up in this man. And I feel so bad that he said he's sober when he's with him or something along those lines. That's heartbreaking. I'm glad that talk in the end pulled him out of it, I'm glad he realized that he had a hand to play in his friends not wanting to be around him or deal with him. I'm glad he followed them and was in on the hug. Wonderful. Now my dude, you do not deserve Aki, not as a romantic partner or a friend. My boy was seriously worried, and you blew down on him WHILE using a nickname for his nickname....sick. I was ready to throw hands, like. My spirit was not right. That was so low. I keep seeing people say that because Max wasn't in a relationship, Audrey shouldn't feel some type of way and Aki is just letting his hurt roll off because he's worried but while you didn't have a duty in the relationship, you had a duty as a friend, to both of them. You ghost for a week and say nothing, no talking about the blow up or the outing and you running with this little stanky thing, you try to ease back into the group, no. And you still don't deserve Aki's time. Like. My dude did not hit you up after the kiss, he was not checking for you on that dating app, he was interested in other mens, you sat between the couple. Okay. He had been checking on you from jump. Just no. I'm sick of the shit. Never step to my boy like that again.
AKI: MY boy. Lemme get this out the way. You need to listen, not solve or give perspective. Like, she doesn't need it. I get your friends in danger but express how serious you think this is to her. I get that a long-distance relationship might not bother you and you think things will work out because there are bigger problems but talk to her. Re-assure her. Or break up with her her. As I said before, ya'll will not hate each other if you break up. And learn to just, even, pretend or something but you struggle in this aspect. Do better. That being said, Aki, episode MVP. He said, something is off, take him down. My perfect himbo man, said not my watch. And listen, you can't be as pushy because people don't respond but I'm glad you were on it. You knew. You said, I'mma run up on this man and you did. Yes. That being said, stand up for yourself, this boy does not deserve your energy. I get it. You might have a crush, this is bestie but bestie has not been treating you right for a while. And this was a new love. You're too loving, let some of that going at Rafa energy pop out around the friend group. But you a king and you care so much, just re-focus for now. Find you a cute lil thang and make the boy jelly. I need this resolved before I can accept anything canon, fanfics is where I'll be. But overall, Aki was making moves, you gotta learn something from the right wing media mogul.
GROUP: I finally feel like I talk about them as a whole. I wish they would've shown the others being upset by Max's ghosting because ya'll acting lowkey outta pocket and I didn't see anyone but Audrey and Aki check for this boy. Like, do you really care? But he fit into the group hug at the end. I know Monet saw a rising star in Zoya at the bar place, you make this a powerful DUO. YOU KNOW YOU WERE FEELING HER. Luna and Monet roll their eyes Audrey but ya'll bet not play like the three of ya'll don't enjoy gossip, fashion, talking about people and lowkey making fun of Zoya's newbie-ness together. Honestly, I'm happy we got more group interactions and little moments, I can start to kind of see how they were friends for a while even if all of them aren't close.
Random Thoughts:
how was your son missing for two weeks on and off and there isn't more panic, you different but oh no heartbreak
aki is so loving towards everyone's parents, i love it
i also love that he assumed max was with aki
audrey as the child as it worse but her kiki's acting makes me feel for her more lol
the two girls were a bit of fun, i'd like to see monet take them down or build them up for fun
"i'm chuck bass" + the lil pull was great
i feel like max was already thinking about them becoming more when he mentioned audrey pushing him out but i'll take crumbs so he was probs just thinking about sex or the group as a whole
kate get out of nick's life, nick keep her out
zoya stop talking to that woman
jordan eww no, you can have kate
i'll ship obie and aki to get aki with someone that likes him and loves him, they talk, they have do something, i'll take it, whatever
i want throuple and i want akimax but not like this, i can't take the threesome scene unless max say's sorry and aki ducks him for half the episode if it's not that, i don't want it
maybe it's the start of a dream and it ends
(i do really want the ship but i don't trust the writers or the characters)
SIMON, I WAS ROOTING FOR YOU
who or what was max suppose to be?
why am i getting teachers and not family, i've seen jordan just one too many times
rafa prison
obie had shit to do this episode, use the money, i wanna see it
when will a student or random party gain control of gossip girl, give me that
rafa prison
i also think i’m a horrible person because i care more about stopping rafa than audrey’s home life so i was rooting for aki
overall, solid episode, maybe the footing has been found? i'm here for it and ep 6 looks like it's about to pop off
Happy Days
Hirugami Sachirou x f!Reader
Summary: Sachirou always cherished the moments he had with his daughter, no matter what crazy shenanigans she was always coming up with.
a/n: Hey! Finally another part to the Salchichas and Peanuts series. There’s a part before this, but this has been sitting in my google docs for idk how long now, so I thought why not post it. Yes, no spanish title cause i’m a) very tired and b) why not english for once? I hope you all enjoy! 💕
Word Count: 1k
Warnings: Mentions of Hoshiumi and his obese ginger cat (it’s true, convince me otherwise, what should we name them?), adorable dad!sachi moments, and that’s it really, just an overwhelming amount of fluff 🥰
Salchichas and Peanuts Masterlist
Tumblr media
Putting the final clean lunch dish away, Sachirou listened intently to your daughter randomly blabbing in the living room. He was more than happy to learn he had an extra day off during the week, spending more time with his daughter during the day while you were at work.
Walking into the living room, he smiled watching Aiko play in her own imaginary world. There was a circle of stuffed animals around her, making the noise of each one whenever she picked it up, “Woof woof! That’s what you say, Mana!”
Said dog sat in front of the young child, tail wagging whenever she called out her name. Picking up a small ginger colored cat plush, she hugged it close, “Meow! That’s uncle Kourai’s cat!”
‘A very fat cat,’ Sachirou thought, chuckling to himself at the thought of his best friend and his practically obese cat. Kourai always defended the cat though, saying he’ll always love them no matter what.
Hearing his laughter, the 4-year old turned around, face instantly brightening at the sight of her father. “Papa!” Standing up, she ran over to Sachirou, who picked her up easily and spun her around in his arms. She was almost a near spitting image of you, having your eye and hair color but with his waves. Even her cute little smile was like yours.
Moving the few strands of hair that had gotten in Aiko’s face, Sachirou gave her a kiss on the forehead. “How’s my Little Peanut doing? Having fun?” he asked, smiling from ear to ear.
His ‘Little Peanut’ as he called her nodded, a matching smile on her face. “So much fun, Papa! I love animals!” Sachirou chuckled, happy that his daughter had the same love for animals that he does.
“Yeah? Your Papa loves animals too, isn’t that crazy?”
Aiko nodded once again before she moved her hands up to Sachirou’s hair, small hands messing with it. You kept telling him it was time for a haircut, but he enjoyed the wild look the curls gave him with his longer hair. “Whatcha doing, Aiko?”
Aiko hands moved away from his hair, “can I do your hair, Papa? I make you nice and pretty!”
His brows rose, this wouldn’t be the first time she wanted to do his hair, and not the last for sure. The 4-year old is always going all out with her different colored hair barrettes and hair bands. “Alright, let’s go make Papa all nice and pretty.”
The young girl cheered, hands going in the air in celebration. Sachirou gave a small, “woo!” as well and carried her to the bathroom where her barrettes and hair bands resided. Setting her down, Sachirou sat down on the floor, making it easier for the small girl to style his hair.
Taking out the small containers that were full of her hair supplies, she set them on the floor next to her father. Once Aiko did that, she stood in front of Sachirou, making various expressions as she thought about what crazy hairstyle to give him. “I’ve got it!” she excitedly said.
Grabbing the first bright pink hair clip, she took his bangs and pushed most of them back against his head, managing to secure the strands with the clip. From there, Aiko took various hair bands and made small ponytails all around Sachirou’s head. Once she finished that, she took a step back, admiring her work. “So pretty! Do you like it, Papa?”
Standing up, Sachirou looked in the mirror. His hair was sticking out more than previously thanks to all the little ponytails. “You’re amazing, Aiko. I love it so much!” Picking your daughter up, he held her up against his side. Both of you observing the craziness of his hair, Aiko gave him a kiss on the cheek.
“Papa, Papa! Can we play vet next? I wanna be just like you!” Sachirou’s chest warmed at your daughter's words, happiness overflowing.
“Of course we can, who’s our first patient, Dr. Aiko?” Bringing you both back to the living room, Sachirou put her back down next to all her stuffed animals.
Sitting next to her, Aiko grabbed her stuffed dog, holding it up to Sachirou. “Mr. Perro is first, he says his leg hurts.” Sachirou hummed, brow raised.
“His leg hurts? I’m going to need my trusty helper for this big job,” Aiko immediately crawled onto his lap, facing forward. Holding the stuffed animal in front of the two of you, Sachirou examined it. “I think all he needs is a big hug and a kiss on his boo boo. Can you do that, Dr. Aiko?”
Said girl nodded quickly, taking the toy from her father and giving it a big hug, squeezing it tightly. She then gave it a quick kiss on his ‘injured’ leg. “There! All better!” She placed Mr. Perro down with the rest of her toys and turned to look up at Sachirou. “Did I do a good job, Papa?”
Sachirou gave her another kiss on her forehead and hugged her tightly. “You did an amazing job Little Peanut, you’ll make a great vet one day.”
Hearing a cough come from the entrance of the living room, both of them looked over to see you standing there, arms crossed across your chest with a smile on your face. Mana stood next to you, tail wagging, happy that her owner was home. “Looks like my favorite vets are working hard today,” you said, eying Sachirou’s new hairdo.
Said man laughed, Aiko climbing out of his lap to run over to you and giving you a large hug around your waist. “I missed you, Mama. Me and Papa had a fun day and he let me do his hair, he looks pretty!”
Sachirou stood up, walking over to the two of you. “I think Papa looks awesome, he should keep his hair like that, what do you think, Aiko?” Sachirou shook his head at your suggestion, hair flopping around. Sachirou then gave you a soft kiss.
“Welcome home, y/n. How was work?”
You sighed, “it was boring, I didn’t have my baby girl with me, such a lonely day!” Aiko grinned at the mention of her, hopping in place.
Sachirou picked Aiko up again, giving both of you quick kisses on the cheek. “Now I've got both of my girls home. Can’t get better than this.”
A Place to Belong
Finally have a nice Short Sides story done for you all to enjoy! This one has been on the back burner for a long time. I believe the prompt for this one came from @iggyalfi2319 like forever ago. XD Disclaimer: Crying/Fighting/Panic
This story includes 2 sketches
Word Count: 2392
Patton was never born to be a warrior. He was big yes, but more of a big sweetheart on the inside. Instead of fighting like the other giants he enjoyed his time outside with the flowers and animals. Violence simply wasn’t part of his inner nature, therefore, he was exiled from his homeland and sent to wonder. Patton didn’t mind though as every new place he explored was an adventure, however it was a lonely one.
A month passed without encountering a single soul, which might be for the best as Pat stood at a towering 200 feet tall. If anyone did see him they would most likely flee in fear. That would be so heartbreaking to witness! Yet, destiny seemed to have other plans when Patton did in fact run into a village that was almost completely secluded inside the forest he had currently been traversing. He hid himself in the shrubbery to watch the tiny people going about their day.
“Oh wow. Look at all of them!” Patton had never seen humans before. His eyes were filled with wonder. However, the shout of a guard who had spotted him through the thicket threw him into a full blown panic! “GIANT!!!”
Oh no! The surprised giant fled for his life, trying his best to not cause the ground to shake. Sure, he was in no real danger, the humans were much smaller than him; however, he didn’t wish to scare them by staying. Eventually, he came to a fluorescent cave, big enough to house him as he caught his breath. I haven’t been followed right? He looked around and sighed after confirming there was no one but him and the flora. What was he to do now though? Patton laid down, curling up on the cool cavern floor whimpering. Those humans looked so scared, even though he was just watching.
His heart ached at the creeping realization that there truly was nowhere he belonged in this world. “Why was I born like this? It’s not fair! I just wanted to be friends and help if I could.” He began to softly sob, unaware that he was being tracked by a mysterious hooded figure.
“He’s taken shelter here it seems.” The skulking figure glided his way into the cavern, not making a sound as the sound of sobbing echoed off the walls. Gingerly, he peeked out from one of the tunnel entrances and saw the giant he had been following on the floor in tears. It was...uncomfortable. Should he reveal himself now, or let the giant get it all out first. The mysterious man was not good with socializing, but he needed to be brave. Taking in a deep breath he took a step out of the shadows and spoke, “H-hello.”
His voice was no louder than a whisper, however Patton heard him clearly as he twisted his body up to a sitting position. The weeping giant stared at the figure, curious as to why they had revealed themselves, but also fearful of their intent. Was this a human from the village? Why were they here and how? Had he been followed and were there more hidden? Pat curled up a bit trying to look smaller, despite his enormous size.
“Ah, wait, i-it’s okay. I’m not going to hurt you a-and it’s just me. I promise.” The figure raised his hands to show he was unarmed and took a few steps closer.
“Why are you here then? I-I didn’t mean any harm to the village or the people living there, I swear! I-I just wanted...I didn’t want to be alone any more.” Patton cried out as he pressed his knees to his chest and hugged them.
“I know. With your size you could have done whatever you wanted to us, but instead you ran away. You’re not like other giants are you?”
Patton nodded, starting to calm down and wipe his tears away. “I...I don’t want to hurt others. I just want to help and find some place I can live in peace. So please, please don’t be scared.” He whimpered into his hands.
The hooded figure, now close enough to rest his hand on Pat’s leg. “Hey, it’s okay. I’m not scared. If I was I wouldn’t have followed you here and revealed myself.” Patton giggled a bit, “I suppose that’s true. Still, why are you here little one?” “I wanted to talk to you. I’m also...different.” “Different?” The man hesitated for a moment, but then lowered his hood to reveal a pair of pointed ears, along with his unusual purple locks. Patton’s eyes went wide with how beautiful the stranger was and blushed. “You...are you a half-breed?”
“Yeah, I’m a half-elf to be exact. My appearance is a mix of both and so I’m seen as abnormal among my fellow humans. They aren’t bad people, they just aren’t very open-minded sadly. Usually, I can get by with just wearing this hood to hide my features, but the thing they really can’t stand is my use of mag-”
“YOU CAN USE MAGIC!?” Suddenly, the man had been picked up by Patton and brought closer to his face. Pat, all the while with sparkles in his eyes. The stranger smiled as he made an orb of light appear and float around him. It was the most amazing thing the lonely giant had ever seen. “Wow.”
“I’m Virgil by the way.” “What? Oh you’re name! You can call me Patton.” Virgil blushed, this was nice. Being appreciated for his talent for once.
“It’s nice to meet you Virgil. Thank you for coming here and talking to me. I feel a lot better now.”
“I’m glad. You don’t deserve to be alone like this. I of all people know what that feels like.” His eyes lowered in melancholy thoughts of the past.
A past of losing his parents in the fire, being ostracized by the village, and having to hide his true self. It was painful and many times he thought of running away, but where could he go? Just then Virgil felt a large and soft surface pressed up against him. It was Patton’s finger rubbing up against his side to comfort him. “I can tell you’ve had a hard time, being different from everyone around you.” He went silent in his thoughts, gazing between Virgil in his hands and his current surroundings. “Y-you’re not scared right?” Virgil chuckled, “You’re asking me that now?” “I...just need to be sure.” Patton blushed, feeling embarrassed and closing his eyes. That’s when the sensation of tiny hands wrapping around his thumb made him focus. “Don’t worry. I won’t leave unless you want me to.” Pat’s face must have turned into a tomato as he simply nodded and gently brought his new little friend to his chest for what could only be interpreted as a hug. “Thank you.”
Tumblr media
Patton was warm, like really warm as Virgil snuggled into his shirt a bit. The moment was pure bliss as the two felt so at home with one another. Yet, events outside were now coming to end their tender moment together. A large shockwave rumbled from above them.
“W-what was that?!” Pat exclaimed, now guarding Virgil in his hands and crawling out of the cave to take a look. “I don’t know. Do you see anything?” He looked around quickly and froze at what he saw. “The village! It’s being attacked by a dragon!” “WHAT?! Are you kidding me? What is a dragon doing all the way out here?” “I-I don’t know, but we need to do something. There’s no way they have anyone strong enough to fend it off.” “Can you fend it off?” Patton wasn’t sure really. Again, his combat experience was miniscule, but he was still a giant. Even though the dragon was big, he was bigger! “I can try, will you help me?” Virgil smiled, “Of course Patton. What do you need?” What did he need? “Buffs, can you cast any buffs on me?” The tiny sorcerer did know a few spells for buffing, but there was one he found when exploring an abandoned house a long time ago that might be just what they needed right now. “Yeah! You go get it’s attention and all start casting. Drop me off at that cliffside real quick. I have to be able to see you to cast it.” “Alright!”
With a plan in motion, Virgil was left to draw out the casting circle as he watched Patton tackle the monster away from the village, slamming it into the foot of the mountain. He had a good 50 feet on the beast, but the difference in height didn’t scare it away. It could sense how much of an amateur Pat was as it lunged to take a bite. Luckily, Patton was quite agile and could dodge the attacks, for now at least. Each second was a battle of survival. The friendly giant calling out to the cowering people to get to higher ground and keep in groups as they made their way into the forest to hide. Not too far where they couldn’t still watch to see who would be the victor though.
“The circles done! Now to start the chant.” Virgil took his position in the center of the circle and began casting. “Nascuntur, crescunt maior quam. Imbui possent immensa” Three times he said this as a light glow began to cover Patton’s body.
It tingled as he felt more and more power enter into him. It wasn’t long until he noticed he was growing bigger and bigger. He gave a heavy gasp when it was all done and his body relaxed. Patton felt stronger now! Quickly, he looked around to find the dragon...but it was gone?
“Below you!” Came a familiar voice. It was Virgil! What did he mean by below though?
Curious, Pat looked down to find a now very tiny dragon quivering at his feet. What in the world!? Freaked out, Patton tripped over himself and landed on the mountain, taking out half of it with his now enlarged body. He was HUGE! “What? What happened to me?!” He was scared and confused.
“Patton! It’s okay, it’s just the spell. It increased your size and strength by ten fold.” TEN FOLD?!?! Wait...that meant he was ten times his usual size. He gulped, “Then, d-doesn’t that mean I’m now 2000 feet tall?” Virgil went silent, but nodded. Oh boy. Patton turned his attention to the dragon once more. The poor thing was now too terrified to even move. “You poor thing. Hey, it’s okay. I’m not going to hurt you.” It was strange looking at the creature in a tender manner now after that fierce battle.
The dragon titled it’s head, but could tell Pat didn’t mean any harm as it bounced up his body and started nuzzling into his neck like a kitten. It was adorable! Still, what was he going to do now? This spell wasn’t permanent was it? In his worrying, the titan hadn’t even noticed the village people returning and coming over to him. Virgil did though, as he hurried over using some wind magic to help him glide down. He landed perfectly on Patton’s knee and took a moment to take the giant’s new size all in. He truly was enormous!
Pat felt something land on him as he looked up to see Virgil sitting on him. “Virgil! Are you alright? I know doing high level spells can tire someone out.” His concern was really cute. “Yeah, I’m alright, but what about you?” “Well...I defeated the dragon, or more so made it my pet I guess.” He giggled, though still uneasy. “Virgil, um, this isn’t permanent is it?”
There was the question he was waiting on, but really didn’t want to answer. “Yes and no. There is a reversal spell, I just don’t know it.” Virgil mumbled out sheepishly. Meanwhile, Patton’s blood ran cold as images of his new reality flashed before his mind. A monster beyond belief! He started to shake and choke on his sobs. In a panic Virgil slid down the giant’s pant leg and started climbing up his shirt.
  “Pat, no, please don’t cry. It’s going to be okay I promise. I’m so sorry I did this to you!” He pleaded constantly as he climbed. Patton hiccupped as he wiped his eyes to see his tiny friend’s frantic face. “It’s not your fault. You were just doing what I asked.”
Gently, he pinched Virgil up and placed him on the bridge of his nose. “At least you’re still here with me Virgil. I’m so afraid of never being welcomed anywhere because of my size, but at least I have one person who accepts me.” “That’s right. No matter what size you are, I know you’re a very kind and warm person Patton.”
Tumblr media
 Virgil leaned in and placed a soft kiss on Patton and began rubbing the bridge of the nose to soothe the giant. Pat blushed and let himself enjoy Virgil’s touch. Then more tiny hands reached out towards him. It was the villagers, petting his hand. “Thank you! Thank you so much for saving us!” “We would have died without your help!” “You’re not hurt anywhere right?” “We’re so sorry for chasing you away before.”
Continued praise and concern left their mouths as they kissed his hand and rubbed it in circling motions. Patton was stunned that they had all come so close to him and even more thanked him for his help. “You all...y-you’re not afraid of me? Even though I’m so much bigger than before?” “Of course not! You're our savior along with Virgil. We know now you never meant us any harm and we apologize greatly for our poor behavior towards you.” “Same with you Virgil. We realize how we’ve been treating you for the past years was unacceptable. Could we start again?”
Virgil huffed a bit, but floated down nonetheless. He looked at the people and their worried faces, but then extended a hand out to them. “If you’re willing to change and accept us both, I suppose I can’t say no.” The villagers rejoiced! They sang and cheered for their heroes! Finally, after his long journey, Patton had somewhere he belonged and someone who loved him.
The End
Memories of a Little Boy
1873 words, Carver & Malcolm Hawke featuring his relationship with Hawke and Bethany. Brothers can be a pain in the ass, especially when you're the one that always seems to get in trouble. Carver talks about the latest problem his brother is causing with their father.
[read on ao3]
“Go away,” Carver shouted, kicking the sticks he’d been building with aside in frustration as the entire thing crumbled to the ground again. Garrett just poked his tongue out. “This is why nobody likes mages.”
“Carver!” he heard their mother snap and he spun in alarm, not realising she had exited the house, let alone moved close enough to hear them.
Of course she’d heard him and not seen Garrett being a pest. It always happened like that.
“Apologise to your brother,” she told him, the look on her face telling him that he was in big trouble. But Carver stood silently looking at her, his fists balled defiantly by his sides. His lip wobbled but he clenched his jaw, determined not to let any of them see it.
Garrett should be apologising to him. He was the one using his stupid magic to make things impossible for Carver for absolutely no reason except to be the most annoying person in the world.
“He deserved it,” he said, watching his mother’s frown deepen. He knew he was in trouble, knew he’d only get in more trouble by refusing to apologise, but he couldn’t. Apologising was like admitting he was wrong and he wasn’t.
Tears burned in his eyes, threatening to fall and he tried to blink them away. The effort of holding them back made his throat hurt.
Garrett folded his arms, standing beside their mother. He poked his tongue out again and Carver stamped his foot, frustrated.
“You always take his side,” he yelled. “You like him better because he’s a mage. But I’d be happier if the Templars came and took him away.”
He knew he’d gone too far but he felt like sometimes it was true and the words were out there now. Determined not to let either of them see him cry, he turned and ran, heading away from the house, hoping he wouldn’t run into anybody else.
“Carver Aristide Hawke!” he heard their mother yell after him, the full name further compounding evidence that he was in Big Trouble. “You come back here right now.”
Maybe by the time he came back, she’d be less mad and he wouldn’t be in as much trouble.
Maybe he wouldn’t come back. That’d show them.
There was a rocky hill near the lake outside the village and Carver found himself there, tucked in behind a boulder where he could keep himself slightly hidden from the main road. He didn’t know how he felt, really. Angry yes, at Garrett, at their mother, at himself. Upset. Frustrated. He felt like he was shaking.
A tuft of grass grew nearby, almost out of arm’s reach and he scowled at it, imagining it was Garrett’s head. If he focused hard enough, maybe he’d be able to do something magic to it. Set it on fire. Freeze it. Shake it out of the ground or suck the life out of it like mages could apparently do.
Nothing happened.
Nothing ever happened when he tried. Not like the others. Not like Garrett or Bethany.
He ripped the grass out of the ground instead, flinging it away as hard as he could.
“Whoa there,” somebody said and Carver curled in on himself, legs tucked up against his chest. “Careful, Junior. You’ll take somebody’s head off.”
His father came into view beside the rock. He didn’t look angry but Carver didn’t want to take any chances. If he was here, then Mother must have told him that something had happened. He just hoped she hadn’t told him what Carver had said.
“Mind if I join you?” he asked.
The urge to cry was still there and Carver didn’t trust himself to answer. Instead he just shook his head. He really wasn’t sure if he was saying no, I don’t mind or no, you can’t, but his father sat beside him anyway.
“Want to talk about it?”
Carver just pulled out another tuft of grass, throwing that one away too. It didn’t go anywhere near as far as he hoped, the weight of the plant not enough to stop it from falling frustratingly short.
His father pressed something against his hand and he took it silently. A rock, one of the small fragments broken from the larger rocks around them.
“This one’s a bit heavier than grass. Might travel a little further,” he said as Carver wrapped his fingers around it. Carver glanced at him quickly, looking away when he thought their eyes might meet, pulling his limbs tighter around himself. “Just aim that way, away from the path. We don’t want to be responsible for any injuries.”
The edge of the rock was rough under Caver’s skin as he ran his thumb along the broken edge. He finally gave in, releasing himself slightly from the ball he’d curled into, pulling his arm back as he threw it as far he could, the distance much more satisfying than the grass had been. Before he even had time to lower his arm, another rock was being offered.
“Think you can make it all the way to the water?” his father challenged him, lifting his own rock. “I bet I can.”
None of their rocks made it even close to the water, but Carver didn’t really care. It felt good to throw them, like he was throwing parts of his anger and frustration away with every pebble.
“Hey Junior, this one looks like a heart,” his father said, holding the rock up to Carver. Carver did his best not to smile as he took it.
“Can I keep it?” he asked shyly and his father laughed, nodding as Carver slipped the rock into his pocket, flipping it between his fingers. It was the perfect size to hold.
“So Junior, ready to tell me what happened yet?”
“Garrett was using his magic on me,” Carver said, still fiddling with the rock in his pocket, trying to stop his mood from dipping too much again. “I was trying to build a wall so Bethany and I could be knights attacking a castle and he set one of my sticks on fire. And then he kept making the ground shake so they’d fall over. And he wouldn’t stop even though I kept telling him to.”
“Ah. We’ve been practicing that one,” his father said. “I wondered why he was so enthusiastic about practicing it. I’ll talk to him about that.”
“He always does things like that. But then I always get in trouble. Mother didn’t even want to hear what happened. She just yelled at me when he was the one who did something wrong.”
Carver’s lip wobbled as he gripped his new rock tightly. He ran his thumb over the smooth surface, rubbing circles against it.
“Must have been frustrating,” he said and Carver sniffed, trying to stop his nose from running like it was threatening to do. He nodded.
“I didn’t mean what I said though. About nobody liking mages or the templars taking him away. I’d miss him if that happened.”
“I know. And I’m sure Garrett does too. ” His father wrapped an arm around him, pulling him in for a sideways hug. “It’s easy to say things you don’t mean when you’re angry. But it’s important to be careful. You can’t always take things back once they’re said or done.”
“I know.” Carver looked down at the ground. He’d felt guilty about it ever since the words had left his mouth. “Why do you all get to be magic though? Why am I the only one who isn’t?”
When he and Bethany were younger, they’d pretend to be mages like their father, bravely casting their spells in the privacy of their own homes, with nobody around to wonder how the Hawke children knew so much about magic. Then Garrett had discovered his power and the twins had been fascinated, wondering what it was like, wondering if they would be magic too or if they’d be like their mother.
They shared so much that they always imagined they’d share their magic or lack thereof as well. But then Bethany had thrown somebody across a field trying to protect Carver and now he sometimes felt like he was losing her. Instead of the two of them playing together, she’d disappear with Garrett and their father to practice, doing Maker knows what, while he was left behind.
Now, instead of Carver and Bethany, a united force against the world, against Garrett, he was the one on the outside.
He’d tried so hard to make something magic happen, so that he could be like his sister, practicing with his father and his siblings, but no matter how hard he tried, how hard he’d practiced, nothing had ever happened. Bethany had told him how it felt, tried to teach him, but he was starting to lose hope.
“I don’t think anybody really knows how it works,” his father said. “It’s not always a blessing, Junior. It can be scary and dangerous and it’s forever. You’d always be looking over your shoulder, forever.”
Carver couldn’t help but think he didn’t care. He could face that danger with Bethany, both of them together. It wouldn’t matter, not if they were together. But instead, she was facing it alone.
“You have an important job too, Junior,” his father said. “There’s lots of ways to protect people without magic. Things you can learn to do when you don’t already have magic. Maybe we can practice those some more if you’d like to learn to fight.”
Carver looked at him, nodding with wide eyed enthusiasm. They’d done play fighting before but never proper teaching, and he liked the idea of that.
And what use would magic be against a sword? Maybe he’d finally get the upper hand on Garrett.
“Alright, tell you what, kiddo,” he said, ruffling Caver’s hair. “We head back and I’ll see what weapons I can find for you some time. You ready to go?”
“Can we start now?” asked Carver, still full of enthusiasm as he bounced to his feet. The rock in his pocket bounced against his leg as his father laughed.
“Maybe not today,” he said. “It’ll take time to find something and I’ll have a think about the best way we’re going to practice. I’m a little rusty with a sword, haven’t needed one much. But we’ll find something, won’t we, Carv?”
Carver nodded, a grin spreading across his face. Maybe he couldn’t do magic but he could protect his family in another way. Maybe he could be the best warrior in the Hawke family.
“You’ll still need to apologise to your brother and mother though.”
Carver frowned, his lower lip stuck out.
“Fine,” he said.
But even the idea of that, of admitting that he was wrong even though it was definitely Garrett’s fault, wasn’t enough to outshine his new excitement as he took his father’s hand and they headed home.
If being a mage was so dangerous, then maybe the reason he wasn’t one was because it was his job to keep his family safe instead.
Maybe he wasn’t ever meant to be Carver Hawke the mage.
Maybe he was meant to be Carver Hawke the warrior, protector of his family instead.
Sunshine and Scars
It has been a long time since Christine Royce was at peace. True, Elijah's death had relieved her of her duty, but to be at ease in the Sierra Madre was to die.
Christine had been glad to see the Courier. How strange, that her life had been so affected by couriers. She owed a lot to the couriers of the Mojave. Did the Mojave Express accept payment for life debts twice over?
She had spent part of the long and dangerous journey to the Mojave trying to put how they felt towards Antietam into words, so they would know how deeply grateful she was. Only, she hadn't needed to.
The Courier had grabbed her hand, ostensibly to pull her out of harm's way. After, their grip loosened, leaving Christine free to remove her hand. Instead, she tightened her grip. That was how they had returned to the Mojave, hand in hand.
The Courier had described their friends as they walked to Antietam's home. They spoke so kindly, so affectionately of their friends. It made Christine half-jealous and half-curious to see how she would be described.
Perhaps as a broken knight who passed off their duty to a courier like it was a mere package. Christine thinks that for a second, and then hates herself for it. The Courier would never speak of them like that.
Antietam had no obligation to return to the Madre for her, but they did anyway. They wouldn't have come for her if they saw her like that.
The Courier gently dances around the topic of Veronica, not trying to overwhelm or guilt Christine into seeing her before she felt ready. She was not at hotel Antietam had brought them to, but a man of equivalent height to the Courier was. He seemed greatly relieved to see the Courier, who hugged him tightly.
"Just like last time, huh?" He said, wrapping his arms around Antietam. He looked down at the Courier fondly, and then leveled a less fond look to Christine. "You and your friend make it back okay?"
The Courier let go of the man and stood back.
"Yeah. Everything okay here?"
"Yeah. Mostly just waiting for you and shooting legionaries."
"Ha, wish I'd been here."
The Courier's strength seemed to sap as they recognize they were in friendly territory. This is their home, Christine realized, and then thought that they had brought her without evaluating the threat she posed as a Knight.
She knew that she could not return to duty as a Knight. She had been through too much and the Brotherhood would not be the home she left. Still, perhaps she and the courier would visit, if only for the hilarity of Antietam passing for a paladin.
They rested in a hotel room that night. The way Antietam moved showed their familiarity with the room, if the key they had brandished and their belongings spread throughout the room didn't. Christine thought she saw the jumpsuit the Courier had worn in the Sierra Madre peaking out of a cupboard.
That was one thing Christine had learned of her friend-their insatiable need to pick things up, from checkerboards to boxes of abraxo. Even now, they're dropping off their haul.
"Courier." Christine heard herself say, only it wasn't really her voice but Vera's. It took getting used to.
"Yeah, Christine?"
"Thank you." And the courier smiled at that, ran their fingers through their hair.
"It's what I should have done. Ah, I have something for you." They walk over to the cabinet and produce a rifle and armor that's familiar to Christine. Her Circle of steel uniform. "It's yours. If you want it."
When she wakes in the morning, she asks them about travelling to the Divide.
"Sure thing," the Courier says, and then looks a little flustered. "But I have to warn you. It's very dangerous in the Divide and we can't go immediately. I used up too many supplies getting to and from the Madre. You can stay here if you'd like, or I can set you up somewhere else. Oh, and you're welcome to come with me if you'd like."
That was another thing the Courier did: give her options, return to the Brotherhood, visit Veronica, visit the Divide, stay with the Courier. Maybe they were trying to stop her from feeling trapped.
So she travelled with the Courier throughout the Mojave. The Sniper came as well, although he didn't talk much and neither did Christine. But she could tell that he respected her and that he cared about Antietam. That was enough for Christine to respect him.
Travelling with Antietam wasn't like it had been in the Madre. The sun shining down on them reminded Christine of that with every step. It felt good to breathe in fresh air and walk under the Mojave's blue sky. With every breath she took, the Sierra Madre's fog left her lungs a little.
While gathering supplies, she asks the Courier to accompany her to the Brotherhood bunker of Hidden Valley. They were at the 188 Trading Outpost, and the Courier had ran under the bridge rather than head to the outpost. It was only for a second, but Christine is sure of what she sees: Veronica.
Her chest pangs at the sight, and she knows then that she still loves her.
Christine did not think she would ever see Veronica again. Had planned on it actually, when she resolved to be the warden of the Sierra Madre. Although the Courier had swayed her from the casino, she didn't lend any creedence to the idea of seeing Veronica. She had nothing left to offer her; she was a broken and scarred person and Veronica deserved better than her.
Antietam would probably argue with that, but it's not their decision to make.
Arriving in Hidden Valley, the Courier is treated as a paladin, although they certainly haven't welcomed them into the fold. The recycled ammo and poor quality armor is proof of that.
Cristine almost says something, and then she remembers the Courier's great love of fixing things. The armor was probably just a repair job they hadn't gotten around to.
In some ways, the base feels like home. It's not home, however, not for Christine or Antietam.
They see the elder by simply walking in. If Christine had done that during her time in the Brotherhood, it would not have gone well. Still, everyone seems more or less afraid of the Courier. If the story Christine was told regarding their first encounter with the Brotherhood was accurate, they should be.
The elder accepts Christine as a member of the Circle of Steel, even though her uniform is ragged and her holotags are somewhere in the Big MT. The Courier vouches for them, swearing on Steel, that this woman is Knight Christine Royce of the Circle of Steel.
Once the elder accepts that, Antietam announces that Father Elijah is dead. The elder's eyes widen and then narrow, before he asks if they can verify this.
"Well, I'm sure he's dead. I pumped him full of shotgun shells and then dropped a casino on him." Saying this, the courier dropped a parcel of Elijah's belongings on the desk.
The elder's face looks as if he wants to scream and is narrowly holding it in.
"I'll be looking forward to your report, Paladin." He says, after he took a good second to compose himself.
Christine laughs at the Courier's exit, and then resigns her commission with the Brotherhood of Steel. No longer if she a Knight of Steel, but Christine Royce, Survivor.
The Courier leaves without writing a report.
When the Courier announces that they're ready to leave for the Divide, it has been a month. A voice chirps from Antietam's pipboy, but it's not Elijah, a much softer voice.
"Oh boy, is this your friend? She looks...Dangerous!" the voice says.
"Yeah, I know, yes." The Courier says, and then introduces it to Christine, holding up their wrist. "This is Yes-Man, he lives in my pipboy. He's not evil or anything, just curious. Yes-Man, this is Christine Royce, she's a friend of mine."
"Hello, Christine! The Courier's wrong, I'm a little evil!" Yes-Man greets.
"Hello, Yes-Man?" Christine responds.
"I give free will to one computer and it turns evil." Antietam mutters, and looks down at the trail ahead. "Ready to head into the Divide?"
"Ready as I'll ever be."
The trip is difficult, but the Courier is familiar with the path. As they walk, Antietam tells a story of the Courier who once walked this path, bringing death to their home. It fills maybe an hour of their long journey.
The rest is filled with near deaths and tapes played through Antietam's pipboy. Old world music, gameshows, and radio dramas copied onto holotapes and scrounged up throughout the wasteland. Unanimously, they skip Dean Domino tapes. Still, they come into rotation enough that the Courier removes the tape and holds it out for a second, like they were going to throw it away. They look at it real long and hard, and then put it back.
"It's too valuable to throw away."
Eventually, they make it to the cliffside at the end of the world. The man waiting there is the courier who saved her from the Big MT.
"Courier."He greets Antietam. "Didn't know we were having guests."
"You should know my name, Courier-you gave it to me." Antietam returns, and his eyes narrow in response.
"So I did. Did not expect to see you again, Knight Royce. Did you hunt your enemy?"
"Yes, and you?"
"Stands next to you now, no longer an enemy." Ulysses's eyes narrow on the Courrier. "Something else now."
Christine looked over at Antietam, a look in her eyes that says "you didn't mention this!".
"Well, that sure is something. I'm no longer a Knight, however."
"Put the Brotherhood behind you.... you are a changed man, Royce."
"You as well."
"I'll leave you two to get caught up." Antietam said with a smile, and turned to leave, but the voice on their pip boy spoke up.
"Aww, that's no fair! I wanna meet your friend!" Yes-Man whined.
The Courier rolled their eyes, and then flipped their wrist up.
"There, happy now?"
"Oh, I know you!" Yes-Man beeped. "You're that man that's been following us!"
"What? Yes, that's not right." The Courier ran their hands over their face. "Sorry, Ulysses. He's just a computer program and he doesn't mean anything. I'm not sure what he's on about."
Ulysses did not say anything.
"I am right!" Yes-Man argued. "I've seen him before!"
"No, you couldn't have. Ulysses was here, in the Divide, so he couldn't have been following us."
Christine thought about it. Antietam had known where Ulysses's camp was, but it didn't appear to be lived in for all that long. Could have meant anything.
"Sorry, I'll just...uhh leave. I'll talk to y'all later."
When the Courier was out of earshot, Christine looked at Ulysses.
"What's the truth?"
"Antietam came here for me. To the Divide. And then I followed them back to the Mojave."
"Didn't stop when they returned to the Mojave, did you?" Christine's voice is flat, unamused. "They didn't know they were being followed."
"No. Followed them through the mountains and deserts and into Vegas. Courier carries my heart, even if they don't know."
"They could. If you would stop following them and talk to them."
"Wouldn't matter. Couriers who have committed the wrongs we have and lived as we have...don't deserve happiness together."
"I understand. Before we met, I loved a woman named Veronica. But we were seperated by Elijah. And I hunted him despite how Veronica loved him like a father. Now I am free of that duty and too broken for Veronica to love."
"You argue despite that? Two of a kind, you and I." He thought for a second and then continued. "Perhaps you should return to the woman you love. Allow her to see you as you are now...to see if her feelings remain the same."
"Perhaps. Could say the same about you."
"Not the same. Courier and I were never lovers. Different history between the them and I, one filled with the death of our home."
"Cares about you though." Christine retorted, and when Ulysses didn't respond, she huffed. "I'm going to find them."
To Christine, the Divide screamed that she shouldn't be here. It wasn't her history that was buried under the ash. The land was still in the worst ways. Reminded her of the Madre, as she hunted through the land for Antietam.
Didn't have to go far, and Antietam smiled at her when their eyes met.
Christine opened her mouth to speak, but found that the words would not come.
"Did you and Ulysses have a good talk?" They asked.
"Yeah." Christine croaked out.
"Alright, I'm going to talk to him for a moment. We'll probably camp out here for a few days, then head home to the Mojave."
"Fine." She settled behind the Courier to follow them back to the camp.
The Courier laid close to Ulysses, putting down their heavy pack and pulling out supplies to show him. He looked amused as Antietam showed him their rollerskates and books they had brought their friend.
When they had emptied out their backpack and Ulysses had a stack of supplies littered around him, they leaned against him. Although Ulysses startled for a second, he relaxed and settled against Antietam.
"Hey, Ulysses...I've been thinking and I wanted to know..would you want to return to the Mojave with me and Christine?"
Ulysses didn't say anything for a moment, and then he responded.
"Perhaps it's time for me to leave this place." He rubbed at his jaw, and he looked at the courier, who was tucked into his side. "Yes, let the Divide belong to the past now."
It was like that then.
Christine held her friend's hand as they returned, just as they had when returning from the Madre. It feels right, the way their hands fit together.
The Divide has brought something back to her, she thinks, and she realizes her decision has been made. As the sun rises over the desert, she tells Antietam of her choice, and they wish her well.
Pack on her back, she leaves for Veronica.
She doesn't think that Veronica will recognize her. It has been years since they met, and her hair has been shaved, scars carved over her face and throat. Even her voice is different.
The 188 is her destination, as it's the last time she saw her. It takes her a few days, but she finds her way there.
She dons her Circle of Steel uniform, even if she no longer belongs to the Brotherhood.
"Excuse me," She greets. "May I speak with you for a second?"
"I'm sorry, do I know you?" Veronica responds, lowering her eyebrows.
"You did, once. You were Scribe Veronica Santangelo, and I was Knight Christine Royce." Veronica startles back from her, and Christine thinks that this was a bad idea, and maybe listening to Ulysses on romantic advice was doomed from the start. "I know it's hard to believe-I don't look the same and my voice is different. Please let me explain."
"Alright, explain." Veronica responded, although she still looked hesitant.
"I was sent by the Circle of Steel to hunt Elijah down for his crimes. He elluded me and escaped to Big MT, a land controlled by robots who experimented on humans. After I confronted Ellijah, the robots captured me and they...cut into my head. A courier freed me and helped me back to health, but we parted ways so I could track Ellijah to his final destination."
"The Sierra Madre." Veronica breathed.
"Yes. However, when I arrived, I was trapped in an Auto-Doc. It tore out my vocal cords, leaving me mute. Another Courier freed me, and helped me to enact vengence on Ellijah. When our work was done, I decided to stay there."
"And yet you're here?" She shifted her weight from one fit to another.
"They convinced me to return. I believe they are a friend of yours."
"Christine...I can't believe it's you. I thought you were dead. Everyone did."
"I didn't think I would ever see you again." Christine smiled a little.
"I just don't know how to handle this. What do you want from me?"
"Anything you are willing to offer me. If you want nothing, I'll disappear and you'll never see me again. If you'd like to be friends, I'll be your friend."
"And if I want more?" Veronica said.
"I could be more. I'm not the same person I was."
"I don't want to push you away, but I don't know what I want. I didn't think I would see you either."
"Maybe we just need to take things as they come. See where the road takes us."
"I'd like that."
And Christine was at peace.
