What made you change your name from Eddie Fender to Raymond Shields? ...was a pun-name just not your forte?

“The day I turned 18, I marched my butt down to the nearest law office with good reviews in both criminal cases and personal affairs. Which happened to be Edgeworth & Co. Law Offices. I told the man there about wanting to change my name, and how I’d do basically anything to get it done.

Edgeworth agreed to help me change my name, but being a logical man, knew a kid still in high school with a part-time job couldn’t pay the usual fee. He mentioned how as of late he’d been swamped with cases and paperwork and having some assistance could help. We worked out a deal: He’d pay me a bit less than he would usually pay employees, and the money missing would go to paying off my debt to him. After a few weeks I found a passion for law, and our business arrangement became more of an internship or apprenticeship.”
