Digging Duo Delves Deeply - Twin Geologists Make Gems and Minerals More Affordable to the Common Pony

Unicorns Yin and Yang explore caves on the outskirts of Ponyville and use their findings to not only expand local museum with their intriguing and rare findings, but also stimulate the economy by increasing jobs and lowering material costs, thus making precious metals and gems (somewhat) more affordable to everypony.

I cannot take complete credit for news ideas, as I feel that the Foal Free Press is more of a collaboration than any single pony’s work. It is with the hard work of the young fillies and colts of Ponyville Schoolhouse in conjunction with ponies like you that make these articles possible! QUADRILLION?! That’s Not a Real Number!...Is it?

Long time giver of “banans” (lexiconic, banana), Banana Pie, has gifted creatures all around Equestria over 100 quadrillion (a thousand raised to the power of five) bananas in seven years!!  Where does this quirky pony get his massive supplier of elongated, botanical berries? Who knows! But what is certain, this pony’s generosity perhaps is on par with the bearer of the Element of Harmony, Rarity. Thank you, Mr. Pie, for feeding and aiding your fellow creature-kind.

Not only can she provide a lovely house warming gift, or spruce up your flower gardens, but this lovely mare can also create some of the best flower crowns Equestria has ever seen! Local entrepreneur, Filthy Rich, invests in Ponyville’s only school upon his first foal’s first birthday! Congratulations to Diamond Tiara on the annual celebration of her birth! The fillies and colts of Ponyville Schoolhouse thank the Rich family for their generous donation.

I originally wanted to do updates strictly traditional, in order to practice more, but forgot how much faster digital pics can sometimes be....So, we’ll see if/when I return to ink and watercolors - which is why the color keeps changing: mixing colors for each update can make the hue vary, as does the way my camera picks up the color.

Life Hack Mishap: Spilt Tea Disaster!

Word around the schoolyard is that shaving cream is great for removing any and all stains from carpet! “Life hacks” are some popular DIY (do-it-yourself) tips and tricks that supposedly make tasks in one’s everyday life quicker or easier. Needless to say, whoever came up with this trick was certainly a hack. (Please excuse my rude language!)

So while shaving cream is not useful in removing stains from carpet, it does make a great beard! (Also, mom, perhaps it’s not wise to have white carpet with 2 young ponies...Not placing blame! Pleasedon’tgroundme!)

Cutest Little Brother Gets First Two Teeth

The cutest little brother in all of Ponyville got his first two teeth. After months of chewing on hooves, sticks, and various books not meant for consumption, Featherweight’s two front teeth finally emerged. No more smashed carrots! Now he can enjoy the delights of biting into a freshly picked, crunchy carrot...Or apple! Congratulations are in order for this little guy! Won’t be long before he starts taking to the skies. Not even the clouds can stop him.

Mysterious Blue Flower Found Just Outside Ponyville; Tastes Terrible

Strange blue flower found on the outskirts of Ponyville. Very beautiful hue, did not appear poisonous, but tasted worse than a rotting apple. Do not recommend it as an afternoon snack to anypony. 

Likely caused an allergic reaction; cannot smell anything! Local Everfree-Native zebra, Zecora recommended a warm bubble bath that seemed to clear things right up!

((I apologize for the atrocity that is the background...Tried to make it look like she was just on the outskirts of Ponyville/Everfree Forest...But yeah. >.>; ))

how do i get featured??

I started this blog because, for me, Tumblr is my little corner where I escape what's going on. My other social medias and various news outlets are where I go to check in with the world and try to make sense of what all is going on. So I started Namby Pamby News as a happy, fun news outlet that brings a smile to my face.

I'm happy to feature others, because truthfully I don't have a bunch of news ideas (really the only "article" I had planned was the poison joke one, haha), and my day consists of chasing a crazy 1 year old around, so I'm generally very tired in the evenings. So, I've been reaching out to my followers in order to feature their character in a happy-go-lucky, feel-good article. I'd be happy to feature your character (pony, dragon, etc) too! But, I need a reference, and a nice story. Nothing mean, crazy, or serious. I have a large queue I need to draw and write up, so I can't guarantee it'll be done super soon (see that bit about my child) or even at all. But if that's ok, send me a message! I'm always happy to talk!

TL;DR: Only happy stories, may or may not be chosen, ref needed, must be a follower. If you have questions, or don't know what your story would be about, don't be afraid to message me! I promise I don't bite...usually. XD
